This cache has not been found for over a year. CO appears to have commented that it’s gone. Have messaged CO to try and confirm that but had no reply.
Yes it was a great walk up here even though there was a cool wind blowing. Would have been more fun to be able to claim a smiley as well though. This cache has been missing for over a year now? Does it need to be archived?
3 of us searched for this cache for almost an hour, and still came up empty handed. There were plenty of possible hiding places, for which we each came up empty handed. I even plucked up the courage to place my hand into a hole which we could not see inside (I consider myself very brave now, even though youngest team member said I was a scaredy cat!).
Never mind, at least we had a fantastic view and were able to take some time to rest, eat some food and enjoy the view. Thanks for bringing us here!
Might be time for a CO check? Please?

Had a great walk up the new track. Arrived at G.Z. after dodging the cow paddies, searched high and low at both clues, then I got in contact with sis, ( Tigatat2 ) and asked for a hint. Another intensive search still no cache to be found. Maybe the cows have eaten it. LOL Cheers.
Came up with muggle friends though the Summerhill farm. Last week I came up from Poplar Lane track with family, but no time to go searching for caches then.
Today I suggested we go from the trig to the headland, hoping to pinpoint GZ. The hint helped. My muggle friends knew what I was up to and in fact saw the container first. Log was a tad damp and the pencil needs a sharpen but I was able to sign. What a wonderful vista.

Lots of bugs but, for once, I'm not bothered because they're plastic. Great walk. Great veiw. TFTC.
Poplar lane was closed so had to use Summer-hill entrance it was a nice walk across open farm land with really special Views across the BoP and must have been enjoyed by many as the track was quite busy. The GPS soon had us at GZ and a nice quick find and sign the is in good condition although the log was a tad damp as can be expected ....thanks Moopa for a great walk and cache ...I have biked and run this area numerous times and really enjoy the out look
I had no idea that this cache was here or I would have found it a very long time ago. Have run this hill from Poplar Lane several times, but without GPS so didn't realise how close I was. Came in from Sunmmer Hills as Poplar Lane is closed for logging. This is a nice walk and attainable for Mr three year old we had in tow. Thanks Moopa for bringing me here and the cache placement.
First find for 2 year old in Jackson 3118 group. Second find for our day out together
Out with Delshell, quick find for littlest hunter! Bubble mixture all through cache so we removed it and dried it best we could, Miss Two took a marble and left an octopus! TFTC
Lovely walk out to this one. Have never been here but will be back!

A great day to enjoy this area today. Was a bit of a slog to the top but once I got up there I was rewarded with 3 caches and some amazing views.
A lot of people up here today but they were all spread out enough that finding the caches was no problem.
A quick find here and cache is in good condition. Some awesome large trees up here.
No TBs found in cache.
Signed log.
Thanks for the cache Moopa

Hitting the trails with the 1HIK crew (11hpg11, HKCB, iammrwalker and myself) on a mission to help them clear Tauranga caches.
With the sun just starting to crack made for great photos. HKCB pointed to a telltale sign that I swear I looked by but sure enough the cache was there!

Yet another mission/meander/drive/caching blitz/story telling to Tauranga/Papamoa with some of the Hamilton crew. An early start was on the cards so that we could make it back in time so a couple of the members could make it back in time for the Night Glow Event held at the Waikato Uni. So at 4.30am 11hpg11, Kyb3r, iammrwalker and myself plied into HPG's new caching vechicle and headed out for the day. As usual a fantastic day out and a bonus for the day was that the weather was on our side, even though it didn't look like it. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements, we signed the logbooks with 1HIK (our caching names put together) to save some room on the logbooks.
Great walk along the ridge from out last find, and with the steadily increasing light we could put away the head torches and marvel as the light made it's way through the clouds. We all picked different spots to search and it wasn't where I was looking. With the log signed and a few quick pics we headed back to the car and the next cache for the day. Thanks for the hide and the view.

Another trip to Tauranga/Papamoa area with a group of Hamilton cachers. Today we planned to clean out a bit more of the area, just one more we keep saying, but new caches keep coming out all the time. Today our team consisted of HKCB, Iammrwalker, Kyb3r and myself. The logs were either signed with our names or HIK1/1HIK to save room. Today I was designated driver and that came along with a new set of challenges but we survived and didn't make too many wrong turns so all is good. A nice early start, left Hamilton at 4.30am so we could be over in time for a night cache plus plenty of other caches before a few of us had to be home for the Hot Air Balloon Night Glow event.
After huffing and puffing my way up and around the caches, the walk out to this point was quite pleasant. We tried not to wake the sleeping sheep but I think we might have been laughing a bit too loudly for them to sleep through. We had some stunning views of the area, still lit up with streetlights but the early morning sun just starting to make its' way through the cloud. Lots of eyes meant we all picked a spot and started searching and the cache was soon found. Thanks for the hide.

I found this Geocache along with HKCB, 11hpg11 and Kyb3r, a bunch of overachieving Geocachers from Hamilton. We signed the logs 1HIK to save on log space. This was our fourth sojourn or ‘mission’ as we like to refer to these trips, to the Tauranga area and even though we had limited time due to family commitments in the evening we still managed to find more the fifty caches and be home before dinner. Credit needs to go to HKCB who came up with the plan and 11hpg11 for driving. As always we had a great time. I discovered HKCB has a big one, that the TV show Samurai Pizza Cats is horribly underrated, that when it comes to night/ early morning Geocaching ‘it's all about the lumens’, that road kill can make for amusing hood ornaments, that hpg has a big hole and that clapping in state of the USA may well be the funniest thing anyone can say at 5am. A big thanks to all the cache owners who placed and maintain the Geocaches we found today.
The sun was just starting to sneak up as we found this cache, having left Hamilton at 4:30 so we could find the night cache in this area. I had enjoyed a sugar filled breakfast and was babbling away like a loonie to the amusement of the others. In between inappropriate comments and laughter we managed to find this cache. Awesome spot for a cache.

Lovely walk in the hills today, as we couldn't do our usual walk up the Mount because somebody had set a fire there. However, we did really enjoy the Papamoa Hill walk and got this cache as a bonus.
Easy find. Cache all good. TFTC

Enjoying another gorgeous day in this great park. I love the Papamoa Hills. Cache was damp so while I signed the log at the nearby picnic table I spread out the contents to dry in the sun & wind. Left TB Geocoin Card TFTC
out to conqure the papamoa hills caches today, this one was find number 3. the boys loved exploring the tree and it was nor long before we had the cache. nice hide. tftc
I woke up this morning with the sole purpose of sorting the 4 caches on the Papamoa Hills. I waited for my son to finish school because I'd need him to drag me up We left for Poplar Lane around 4pm as to get HambrookHunters night cache after sunset.
Finally got to the top and found the cache quickly but it was swimming around the container. Strange because the container is clearly water tight and the bags are intact but no time to worry about that as I have storm clouds rolling in. We emptied the water and replaced the bag.
A stunning view from gz, well worth the trip. Cheers Moopa

Out and about enjoying the sunshine while finding a few specific caches towards a challenge we are working on. Great views from the lookout and lots of muggles on the tracks today TFTC.
Ohh gosh the wind was actually creepy...i was afraid to fly. But at least i found the cache
Watch your step, there are cows about... Thanks for bringing us to this amazing place!
We had explored many of these other tracks last year but had not checked for other geocaches. The info boards certainly help but most tracks were also showing up on the GPS map as well. Good location, just need to be aware of wasps at this time of year. Thanks Moopa.
Followed the path to the summit only to be stumped as to how to reach it. Turns out there are multiple paths... it pays to read the map on the board tftc
Always thought that up here is a good spot for a cache. Nice spot, fantastic views.
Mrs HHunter, out on my own today. Found this one quickly, and no muggles around this end of the park. Lovely excuse for a navigating run! Took the TB - (our first one!) and will drop it off somewhere new in the next week or so. TFTC.
Friday 13th and full moon. So, I must go for cache! Very nice place! TFTC In:TB Out: /
Novel way of picking up a like minded partner with the flyer to a dating website I found in the container, clever idea. Tftc
Went on a morning walk with my brother and his family. Forgot my GPS but got to this location and the cachers "I wonder if something will be there" question happened. A quick look and I found I became very smug with myself. Great views from this hill. TFTC
Been up here a number of times, but not out to this particular point. Cheers
Dropped off TB Grand Canyon

Cold wind up on the hill today, found ok, didn't stump us at all. Was very obvious with the sun shining right on it so have camouflaged it a bit better.

Took a roundabout way to get to this one after finding Papamoa Hills III. Headed along a farmland track and then realised we were 200m away from GZ, straight up a steep hill. Abit of huffing and puffing and jumping a few electric fences, we made it to GZ. Brilliant views from here! Had a good look around before going for the cache, which was found quickly in the most obvious spot. Thanks for bringing us up here and TFTC!
An awesome view on an awesome day. Great hiding spot. Thanks for bringing me here. <°))))>

this one has been on our to do list for ages but everytime we go past it we either are heading somewhere with no time or heading home too late.......
today timing was perfect, plus Miss Geckoh needed to do some run training today for her Triathlon next weekend so up the hill we went.
Awesome area, well worth the time for a looksie.

A beautiful fine day apart from a serious cold wind. A lot of removal required to unearth the cache but it should be safe.Thankyou, very enjoyable.
Couldn't understand why the gps said I was 400 odd metres off, as I was walking downhill. On return, I soon discovered another arm to this park. It's huge.
Walked into ground zone and found the hint. Couldn't believe the amount of detritus used to cover this cache. Quite funny. Almost met Alice in Wonderland while retrieving the cache.
Not sure if this was so deep on placement, or whether previous cachers have been overzealous, but that was a bit overkill for me. TFTC and thanks for bringing me to this spectacular view.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walk - it's especially great up here during lambing season. We love these caches that take you to a place with a view. Met up with Cats'n'Dragons & Novalightning who were on a caching raid from over the hill. Thanks for the cache, recommended!!!
Had to laugh as I was pulling out the cache. A well hidden GZ with enough camo around to light a fire with. TFTC and views.
enjoyed the walk over from Summerhills and had to laugh at the efforts gone to conceal this one, bet it has confounded many a cacher,
On a mission with Novalightning today and after a quick stop on the way over we were working on clearing an area of the countryside neither of us had ever investigated much, so on the mission continues,

We headed to the Papamoa Hills Park car park and set off up but Janet has a bit of a sore knee so we thought maybe the Summer Hills way could be better for her. The Papamoa Hills way was 1.1Kms to cache and the Summer Hills way was 1.6Kms but a lot easier walk because less climbing and straighter paths. We loved watching the new-born lambs along the way. The wind was strong as it often is there..good to have hoods.
We found the cache quickly, an excellent hide, well-stocked with goodies. We took travel-bug 3/4 T Forest Hill Primary School (the kids can see it moving) and left New Zealand Flag Micro Geocoin which came from the top of Putauaki Mountain [:-)] Also left a toy skateboard. Thanks for this great cache in such a wonderful spot with great views.

An early start for a brisk walk to the top of the Papamoa Hills without Mrs Tparty who I am sure was faking asleep when the thought of a climb entered her dreams. Met the farmer on the way up planting poplar poles in sleeves on steep hillsides. Aside from him, only the turkeys and the new-born lambs were to be seen. Cache was found exactly as suggested and the bonus of a FTF was equally matched by the great views up here. Left two trackables for the next visitor. Thanks for bringing me back to the Park. TFTC

Good excuse for another walk up these beautiful hills. Decided to get a bit of fresh air with NZ Biscuit and Richard - I never tire of the amazing views, a fantastic spot for a cache TFTC
Always enjoy this walk, and nice to have a prize at the end - has been some serious pruning since I last sheltered here from the rain. Visited with NZFlossy and Richard. Cool views as always
