Attempted to find this today but after a hard slog up the hill, the cache was already gone. After describing GZ to CO he kindly let me log it as found.
This cache placement does not comply with the new "Canberra Nature Park Reserve Management Plan 2021". I will attempt to remove containers over the next couple of weeks. Thanks to all the finders over the years.
Joolay and I met for a cache we could squeeze in between working @ home sessions and this one seemed to fit the box.
Nice to be out of the house and in such nice environment. Because of time we opted for the first version, but noticed a few of the other features on the way.
Cache itself was covered in Black House Spider webs (they look like a funnel, but are not Funnelweb Spiders). Whilst a bite could be medically significant, they are VERY reluctant to bite. If in doubt ask your friend (Joolay asked me *haha*) or use a stick to get the cache out.
On my way home (on my bike) I noticed a fair few interesting insects, like a Heliotrope Moth and a HUGE Potter Wasp.
The Everlastng Daisies are at near full bloom.

Lovely little multi. Enjoyed the walk up and love the view. Great to be out and about in such a fabulous day.

This cache was the second of four caches found today in my two hour COVID-19 lockdown allotted time. Ironically, we down came to WP1 from another cache up only to be climbing back up again nearby for this GZ.
After calculating GZ at WP1 we decided to find GZ via the description provided. With all the regrowth and flowing waterways it was a lovely way to arrived at GZ albeit longer. What a great idea There we’re lovely views at GZ and plenty of wet slippery rocks. Quick and easy find. TFTC Pacmania.

Making the most of the today after all of the rainy days. All caches in good condition unless otherwise noted.
Nice little multi and a quick easy find after a bit of a climb. Rock face is super slippery after all of the rain so recommend doing in the day so you can see the slippery slope!
Grateful thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches that continue to entertain me on my caching journey.

I was hoping to get a multi today and after failing to have a black light, finding a closed reserve, I ended up on My Ainslie. Thankfully there was no problems working out the GZ, Off I went, up and up and eventually to the cache. The sun had just gone behind Black mountain, so it was cold. There were plenty of people on the track and heaps of kangaroos.
Thanks for the cache Pacmania

TFTC from the KayakViking!
Back in Canberra and needed to stretch the legs even tho it was a bit smoky and still over 30 degrees after 6pm.
I was initially headed for another multi a little lower down but spied this one. I picked up the clue for the actual GZ as backup and then tried to follow the instructions. They made sense until about the 2nd last which had me too far west. Resorted to solving the co-ords and then nugging back and up.
A few minutes spent checking out a couple of likely sites (I was now a little too high) but very soon had CIH in dwindling light.
Great view of setting sun - pity it has to take pollution or fires to light up the sky so brilliantly.
Cheers KV

Walking up mount Ainslie I had to grab this one. Solved this 2 days ago when going on a bike ride and it was time to pick this one up today. I haven't gotten a multi for a long time so this was a happy suprise. Arrived at GZ and found a potential spot super fast. Of course the GPS didn't help that much because of all the trees but the terrain wasn't that bad. Removed a rock and there it was but then the planes or whatever they were spared over shattering my eardrums. Oh well. TFTC Pacmania!
This was the second of a couple before heading back to the airport . I decided to use the 'coordinate method' so after a bit of puffing and panting, I was finally at GZ and was signing the log at 16:20 as I admired the great view.

Great scramble up the rocks for a very rewarding view and cache. Tftc. A fave from me.
Another Ainslie..... getting close to the end. I also tried to follow the directions, but doubted myself so reverted to the coords.... it was further than I thought
We were doing a few caches on Mt Ainslie today so chose the easy option. Nice easy multi.

We parked close to the starting point at the nearby houses and tried to approach to follow the description (not without noting the finam coords.
Well we missed the powerlines somehow and by the time we discovered that we had been so far along that we just followed the compass. We seemed to pass places that fit the description (although then I am not sure why we should have crossed earlier as this was the most level and straight approach). We got to an more open terrain and soon spotted the cache at GZ. Thanks for the little scramble Pacmania.

Cool cache.
We missed the power lines so for a minute me and Flintstone thought we'd lost it but we got back on track and so could find the GZ in a beautiful place.

Went for an Ainslie area walk with geopartner, geoson and geohound. Took the opportunity to pick up a few caches that 'happened' to be along the chosen route.
We used the nav method and arrived where we should have to find the cache. A fun walk. TFTC Pacmania

A quick puzzle find and a slight longer trek to the cache. Nice spot for a short rest.
After an unfortunate contact with a kangaroo last Monday, I have been relying on bicycle and bus for the past week and today it was the bus that I used to get to the base of Mt Ainslie for the Monday evening Omnia walk up Mt Ainslie. The advantage was that before the walk I had time to seek out four geocaches in central Canberra area and one of the Mt Ainslie multicaches. This geocache was a straightforward find. I knew the signpost from previous walks on Mt Ainslie, the information was readily obtained and the coordinates of the GZ calculated. The cache was an easy find, being in an obvious spot on the coordinates. Thank you Pacmania for installing and maintaining this cache.
I found this one by diverting off the main Kokoda Track with the GPS and co ords. However, the cache was guarded by a kangaroo and joey. When I approached her boyfriend grunted at me and moved towards me in a threatening manner. I was annoyed that I had left my phone in the car because I would have liked to get a recording of the kangaroo's growls since it is so rare to hear them. After a patient wait, they moved on and I retrieved the cache and signed it. TFTC
Trodectus and thought we would do this one to get a little exercise.
At WP1, we easily worked out final GZ, which was needed because I think WP5 is actually quite wrong!
Rather than going to the left of all the creeks (WP5), it would be better to go to the right of all the creeks!
Apparently many people have had trouble with the given directions.
Anyway, GZ was good and that made it quite easy.
Thanks to Pacmania for bringing us to this beautiful spot.

Found with Decrypter. We came to the sign post and decided we'd try this one by following the instructions, but we made the calculations just in case. There were many side branches, none containing any water, and many fallen trees that it all got a little confusing. But we were having a good walk and there were plenty of kangaroos about. After some time we decided to check the co-ords and we were more than 100m out, so we followed those. Eventually we got to GZ and saw the rock and made the find. TFTC.
Good, unambiguous multicache. A pleasure to do. However the cache is a micro, not a small. None of the TBs I am looking for homes for, would fit. TFTC Pacmania.
I spent 9 hours hiking around Mount Ainslie today with the goal of picking up solved puzzles. I may as well call this Pacmania day since most of the caches belonged to one CO. I did pretty well with only 2 DNFs. This was number 15 of 28 for the day. I hadn't originally planned to pick this one up but the location was close to where I intended to walk anyway that it just made sense.
The written instructions weren't making too much sense to me and I couldn't even decipher which track is was talking about right at the start! So I decided to just grab the coordinates from the sign instead, which made it easier for me anyway as I was able to grab a few caches and waypoints along the way that I may not have been able to if I went the description route.
Eventually I made it to GZ after a traverse along the hill from the way I came. I got to GZ and saw the obvious hide and realised how this cache could be done without coordinates as it is in a very obvious spot!
Signed the log and returned it to it's little nook before traversing the hill once again.

Well I think that was a little too strenuous for me today after spending several days coughing and sneezing on the sofa. I brought the Ridgeo-pup out for a run and to collect another cache and I thought this multi looked like one we could probably cope with to stretch our legs before the rain comes again. And no it isn't very hard its just I am still not fully recovered which became clear as I trudged up the hill.
I took directions from three sources, those listed, the calculated GZ, and the RP.
I thought following the directions looked like fun and so initially attempted that method. This became less enticing as I quickly lost the track and the edge of the creek was quite treacherous after yesterdays storm. Then the RP hit the brakes with her body language inferring that she was willing to fight me over this. I assume she smelt a stumpy but I took her advice and we ended up following the path up the hill.
I wandered round and round at GZ before finally remembering to check the listing after which it was a quick find. What an interesting spot at the source, so to speak, with a gorgeous view while I sat and gasped back my breath. GZ it quite slippery, not sure if that is permanent or because of the recent storms. I was half expecting a torrent to suddenly burst through and wash us away. Thanks for the cache, Pacmania (F=3716 H=121).

Decided as the end of one multi was so close to the start of this one that we would do both. Found the start of this one and took coords. Decided to do a little bit of both follow the compass and the instructions. With a few hmmm moments we still made an easy climb to GZ. Tftc Pacmania!!!
A short walk to WP1 from our parking spot and a nice easy piece for the GZ coordinates. We mostly went with the instructions though, made up our own as it suited and rejoined back into them for the final ascent. Not a bad bit of walking, lots of kangaroos in this area and GZ had a good view. Rejoined the walking track for the descent. Thanks for the cache Pacmania.
Day Three in Canberra with BettyBoo3747. Yesterday we rode around the base of Mt Ainslie, today we walked around the War Memorial and up the front of the Mount. Canberra put on another lovely display of caching weather.
We collected the clues yesterday on the way around the base of the Mount, but the final wasn't on our path.
Today it was, and a great view from here it is too!
Thanks, Robmc.

#11238. Day 3 of our two week Canberra Holiday with Robmc. We gave the bicycles a rest today and put our legs to work instead. I wish I had a pedometer on to see how far we walked. Around the gardens of the War Memorial and back up to Mt Ainslie, an area I am getting to be pretty familiar with. I am not a keen walker so it was a big effort today. For this effort 17 new smiles were added and some progress was made on some other caches.
We took the easy option and collected what we needed yesterday while we were riding our bikes. Back on foot today and across to GZ we went. Fabulous views from here and an easy find for a cacher. Worth the effort to get here.
Thanks Pacmania

Having just found Sock Shack came over and quickly solved and headed up. It was nice that I did not have to walk all the way to the summit. TFTC.
#971. 57 days in a row.
I had to find Australia Day today and, since this cache started not too far away from it, I decided to get this one as well. Simple calculation of coordinates and I was off toward GZ. Took me a little while to trudge up the hill, but once I got there the hiding spot seemed obvious.

After spending some time this afternoon solving puzzles, I was itching to get out again and get some exercise (despite the heat). Having just found Sock's Shack, I followed it with this multi. Easily found after a hot slog following the WPs (with an eye on the GPS). TFTC.

I followed the instructions. The alcove is very nice. Apart from some missing boulders, and a track for animals or humans shorter than one meter high, it was straightforward.
Collected the info some time ago but wasn't able to make the find then. Today I was in the vicinity and was able to make a little detour to collect the cache. A lovely area with great views. Very peaceful. Thanks Pacmania
This was our hardest walk of the day and we bumped into some running friends who were on their way down the hill - crazy!
Great views from here, I took a good selfie which included the back of allrounder's head.

We made the walk from Socks' Shack for this one and managed to bump into some of our running friends on the way - they'd been doing a recce of one of the Sri Chinmoy Triple Tri run legs (this event is in two weeks). Onward and upward we went to make the find. Great views from here. Thanks again Pacmania, three to go...

I have had my eye on this cache for some time. Today after lunch in Civic and with the sun out was the perfect day!

The sixth find of the day whilst hiking on Mount Ainslie. Ah, this was a lot easier than the last! I had managed to use the map and formula to calculate a reasonable looking GZ and I decided to check it out today. I arrived at GZ and began my search. The rocks were really slippery! I had to be careful around GZ or it might have been a tumble to the next cache! Luckily, I managed to find the cache shortly after arriving! I must have gotten my luck back! Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC Pacmania!

{64} After finding A Night on Ainslie Mountain, and wrestling with seven bunyips, a hoop snake and a horde of drop bears, we thought we would do this one. The views at GZ were very nice indeed at night. Much better than I expected. I got a little puffed as we approached GZ. Always tough to keep up with NM!

After finishing off a Night on Mount Ainslie, JmanJezza, ZQX, Doppelfrog and I wandered over to do this one. We did it multi-style and I was using the excellent OSM coverage of Ainslie to make it to GZ when I spied a thin, unmarked trail heading right off in the right direction. We followed this for a while but it soon disappeared and the it was a bit of steep up, but ok.
JmanJezza made the find at GZ while we admired the view.

Have been doing more traditional caches recently than I would normally do, so since I had a day off today, and was in the area picking up the Sol de lune puzzle, decided to amble past this one and check it out. Decided to put the coords into the phone GPS and started doing to the multi as per the instructions, but we (I dragged Geoman and Geohound out as well) got a bit lost a few steps in and ended up homing in on the GZ using the coordinates. Noted there was a "camp" near the posted coords, and I was glad to have the company for this walk. The gentle slope turned a bit tougher as we trudged up the hill, and a bit of seepage on the rocks had me slip and land on my bum, only 5m from GZ! GZ was clear, and cache retrieved easily. TNLNSL. Thanks for the exercise and the great view Pacmania!
Having completed Shock's Shack several days ago we took the opportunity of getting the required information from the start coordinates for this cache. Headed up the mountain today, venturing off-track about halfway up. Arrived at the cache coordinates and spent a considerable amount of time searching to no avail. Looked up the tablet for log comments and cache description and soon worked out that the GPS was sending us about 15 m off and headed up the hill further to 'the platform' and located the cache and signed the log. BTW What a fantastic view - excellent. TFTC
I was in the mood for another hike again so after checking this one out before I left work, I decided that this one would be today's target
Made my way to WPi, calculated the sums for GZ and then I was off. Up I went yet again this week. Hey, come to think of it, this week seems to have been the week of Pacmania caches at Mt Ainslie!
Anyway, once I reached GZ it was a nice, easy find at this surprising location. Great views and a lovely sunset as I signed the log
Thanks for the hide, Pacmania

I saw the opportunity for a new cache (my first multi) while scouting out the equestrian/bike trail when I thought hmmm I wonder if there are any caches nearby... Checked my phone and what do you know! I did this using waypoints only... I trudged through the bush walking into multiple spider webs... Ick! I was scared by a startled fox on the way too! Oh my! Then at the cache location I heard a rather large noise... I looked around when I saw a huge boomer! Omg! Luckily he stayed put so I could retrieve, sign and replace the cache... TFTC it was an absolutely wonderful walk!
Found 9:28 pm with LuckyL10n. Out to do our daily find and this is one of very few in the area that LuckyL10n hadn't done. After parking the car we set off to locate the cache this involved on our part going cross country through the scrub only to find later on the way back we were right near a path that would've reduced the trek through scrub. The cache at GZ was fairly simple to locate. Thanks for the cache.
#2708 - 21:25; Out and about again tonight with MrDamage for our nightly daily. I didn't realise until tonight how close I have been to GZ for this cache on a number of occasions, until we arrived there. I had picked up the required information and done the calculation a couple of months ago when I did another of the CO's multis and picked up a few more of the caches around Mt Ainslie. We parked in a familiar suburban area before heading into the night to make the find. As usual took the harder way in and the easier way out. MrD also picked up another on the way out as he creeps slowly towards 1000 finds. Great views at night from up here as well! TFTC Pacmania
I have had the final coordinates for this one for a long time. Finally managed to find some time whilst in the vicinity to grab this one. Thanks Pacmania.
Mob of roos and wallabies decided they didn't want their naps disturbed and led me to the cache. A fox - in broad daylight! - scampered away.
Slippery on the rocks, I had to be careful lest I tumble down the hill again.

We collected the information for this one at another time but didn't have time to collect, so we decided to head out after work and finally collect it. Back up the hill we tramped using the geocandles as the moon was not quite high enough to give us some light. It was a nice night for a stroll and not long and we were soon at GZ, the log was signed and we after taking in the view we returned to the car. Nice spot here at night time. TFTC and the stroll
3206. I arrived at WP1 and soon worked out that I was going back "that" way. I followed the GPSr and the instructions and after some huffing and puffing found myself at a very neat GZ. A quick find and sign and them over to the path for an easier descent.
Thanks Pacmania for the cache.
Thanks Pacmania for the cache.
Tried following the instructions (got about half way before I got confused) and then calculated the GZ the other way. Still came up empty
I was seeing how many multi's I could complete concurrently. Turned out to be not as many as I had hoped but a nice wander around Mt Ainslie this morning before it got too hot to want to be staggering uphill anymore. Plenty of muggles about on the main trails but not too many near any of the GZ's.
Have been wanting to find this cache for ages. Two weeks ago, I went to the coordinates and found myself at a familiar riding past spot. Today exactly two weeks later, there was an opportunity to come to GZ while finding waypoints on another Pacmania multi. I love caching on a Friday after work, it's a really great way to finish off the week. I found the vicinity and then had to work through quite a bit of velcro to get cache in hand. The glorious view that Socks must have enjoyed for so long was evident as I turned, signed the log and replaced it back.
Thanks Pacmania, it was fun to finish this off today at about 17:00 this afternoon. A perfectly formed cache, as is your style.

We couldn't stop at one multi, it was such a lovely afternoon and we always love exploring this Mt. We calculatted GZ and made our way up the Mt using the instructions. We quickly zero'd in on the cache and sat and enjoyed the beautiful views at GZ as the sun prepared to set. Thanks pacmania, another great spot.
Just when I thought I'd cleared all caches on Mt Pacmania, I find another one, so up I go again! All clear now. And that's not meant as a challenge to you (again!).

Found the co-ords for this yesterday while on a search for another "Sock's" cache. This find was fairly straight forward; we were watched the whole way by many kangaroos of all sizes. Today we had our 2nd attempt while on the mountain of "Canberra Deco" but it would seem I am still missing something with this one. Back to do some more homework, so we'll back here again soon, no doubt.

Found on a massive hot hike. After getting the nearby cache, we quickly figured out the GZ coordinates, then we were off to GZ. We didn't realise that the path went to the cache, so we walked up the very steep hill which took a while. But once at GZ, the cache was found pretty quickly. A fantastic view with a nice hide. TFTC Pacmania!
Easily solved and put away for another trip that came about half an hour later. TFTC.
Found after a bit of a climb. Thanks very much Pacmania for the great views and the explore of the bush. I really enjoyed the hunt. Interesting container with contents still dry.
5852. [green]After a miss at "In the Tree" I decided to head to this one (being the next closest unfound) while FFP did some Friday afternoon shopping. This one filled the time in nicely but I think I was spotted signing the cache (see pic). A gentle "cough" stroll from the posted co-ords and some nice sights to see as well.[/green]

I resorted to grabbing the clues at WP1 just as a backup, but then managed to do the trip to GZ using the directions. A nice little heart starter. TFTC
I had a bet both ways and did the math at the beginning, then proceeded up, using the written instructions. Just as well. I was about 100m off when I punched in the coords, realising I had lost the plot. Interesting how close to the track this is, that was quite deceptive. From GZ I tried to back track using the directions again, still a challenge though I think I spotted where I went wrong. It's pretty tricky without distances.
Thanks Pacmania excellent GZ.

5287 + 580 = 5867. Found after work on a warm afternoon.
Wandered up a familiar path enjoying the sunshine and warmth (knowing I'll be cursing it soon no doubt) and soon arrived at GZ - a few nooks and crannies to look in and soon had the cache in hand. I never get tired of the views from up here. Thanks again Pacmania !!

Nice find on a beautiful day! - I attempted to follow the "non-GPS" instructions, but that was a miserable fail. Any reference to "fallen tree" or "rocks" made me snicker... At any given point, there were at least 4 fallen trees within a 10m radius! And as for rocks... There were more than I could count!
So I did the calcs, and followed the GPS - worked a dream!
There were nice views from GZ - see pic, and I found a stumpy tail lizard on the way down! Haven't seen one of those in years! Thanks Pacmania!

Not so much a quick lunchtme wander, but certainly doable after work....
Grabbed the details from the posted co-ords and then follow the arrow up the hill to GZ. Cache was quickly found, signed and return before sitting back and enjoying the view and the sunshine. All very pleasant.
Thanks Pacmania, another nice climb up the hill.

A pleasant little wander up the hill. Followed the written instructions until I spied the rock up yonder. Nice view of the fountain from there. Then up to the path and an easy walk down. That's now 2 Sock's caches on this hill, Thanks.
A nice early start to this one. DId the sums, plugged them into the GPS but followed the written instructions. Lots of brave roos who only got of my way at the last second. Now, call me stoopidity or what but I haven't worked out why the name for this cache. Great views and now to do the Kokoda !
*FTF* at 1449. After finishing off another ftf I thought hey I still have 2 hours before going to a doctors. The other ftf was around Barton so caught a bus from there and got off it at Anzac parade. I then walked up to the waypoint and found the sign. I did it this way thinking it would of been faster. Got the information and the up the track and then alittle bushbashing to gz. Once at gz I spotted the hide straight away. Opened the cache and saw a clean log. Hooray solo ftf havent had one of them for a while TFTC
