Following the muggle attacks we've decided to move this cache to a new location. As this is about 1.3km from the original location we are going to archive this cache and make a new listing for the new location.
We've placed a series of caches near the original location of the West Wyalong TB Airport, with the first only metres away from the original GZ. We hope you keep an eye out for these new caches and enjoy searching for them.

Thanks for letting us know the condition you found our cache in, Sol de Lune.

Thanks also for taking the TBs with you. I would hate to have had them lost.

I have been out to collect the wet container. I will rehide in a new location soon. Two muggle attacks in a few weeks makes me think this is needed.

23-Jul-13
As Sol de Lune says, we found this in disarray. We took the TBs to keep them safe. The litter in the area suggests this is an area that is frequented by muggles so, a relocation might be a good idea. A hotel in the area is much appreciated though. Thanks Redmond Family for putting out and maintaining such a cache.

23-Jul-13
Parked on the nearby road and walked over to GZ to find the cache contents scattered all over the place. Managed to find the container, 4 TB's, a soaked log book and plastic bag. Looked around for any other TB's, but nothing could be found.

We replaced the container and log book where we thought it should be, and took the TB's to dry out and will relocate them shortly.

Unfortunately the general area looks a mess....not sure it is locals dumping stuff, or something else.

Photo's of what we found are attached.

Cache is all clean, dry and ready to go!

Eight TBs inside.

"Ekpoma, Nigeria" Unite for Diabetes TB and Czech Republic Flag MC were not in cache when I cleaned it.

01-Jul-13
Just taking this one offline for a few days to give it a wash, dry and new log.

29-Jun-13
A short walk and the find was made. The cache was laying exposed with the lid off but the log book was dry in its zip lock bag. We drained the water, replaced the lid and covered with a bit more scrub but this one may need a check. Thanks.

Found on a drive to and from Queensland, with Blacklegend and Poynts95. We headed there on a last minute trip, so decided to find some caches on the drive. Had a great time, stopped at and visited some great places on the way. TFTC.

12-Jun-13
Found on an unplanned run to the Gold Coast and back with Poynts95 and Sportacuss. The run was not planned, so it was a matter of throwing together a quick list of potential caches to find. Ended up getting quite a few of them, which was fantastic. Not a lot of sleep had on the run, so the cache stops were fantastic to break up the drive. Found some great spots, and some top caches, with a few DNF's mixed in. The runs started with 2 FTF's in Finley, which was sensational. Thanks to all the cache owners for hiding and maintaining their caches which we found.

Parked roadside, and hopped the fence for a quick find. TFTC.

12-Jun-13
Found on a trip to the Gold Coast and back with Blacklegend and Sportacuss. The run was not planned, and Blacklegend was able to throw together a list for the run. It was a good list and gave us lots of breaks along the way. We also got 2 FTF's in Finley, just after leaving. A great trip. Thanks to all cache owners for their hides.

Stopped as close as we could, we jumped a fence and found the cache. TFTC.

This was a nice quick find and according to logs there should be two TBs in there, but not a thing except log book is in this cache. Tftc

24-May-13
I have had a few TB's for a bit to long and seeing as there was a bug motel close by my route for a bike ride it was an ideal spot to drop them off.

Found the cache quickly and did the signing and TB swaps and was on the road again.

5 TB's and 3 TB's out.

17-May-13
Enjoyed this find, as I defied advice given and climbed through the fence - parked on highway - this gave the hunt a greater sense of adventure! Cache container was a little bare so I left a "Found" embroidered patch for someone to enjoy, or swap elsewhere. Replaced camo carefully after SL. TFTC!

Reperio at 2000.

After traveling down from Newcastle today, I thought I'd better grab a few caches before heading further on towards Griffith tonight. Pulled up and parked close to GZ, and soon arrived to where the torchlight caught a glimmer of the container nestled underneath the camo. I believe this is my first visit to West Wyalong, and while it was dark, it was nice to have finally seen the township.

Gratias Redmond Family.

Pretty easy find as was poorly hidden. In fact any hide here would be difficult for a cache this size. Anyway I retrieved a Travel Bug (Cache Buddy CBYB8Z) and re-hid as best I could but it still looks like a fireplace.

22-Feb-13
TB drop.

19-Feb-13
Smile Found the cache and one lonely TB so retrieved it and think I will send it north towards the Blue Mountains. Didn't have a TB to drop in so left blue racing car. Maybe someone might like to turn it into a TB? I imagine this could become quite a busy airport.

This was 7 out of 7 finds for Nuglennwally and me while at a conference here for a few days and a pleasing result for us after quite a long break from caching. I think we might have got a couple of the other delegates interested too!

06-Feb-13
Decided we were too lazy to walk round so we cut through the gap in the fence.
Nice quick find after reading the log

Easily found, we came the night before and could not see it at all - too dark and the fear of snakes - the next morning though... Easily found and full of amazing TB's!

Found on the 2012 Tour de Eclipse. Cache found in the last place we looked, which was as usual not the first place we looked. I left my swaps in the Pahero and I did not have anything of equal value in my pockets. Thanks for the cache guys, we love your work.

This cache was found using a Garmin Montana 650t and/or a Blackberry 9700. Waypoints and paperless geocaching downloaded via GSAK and/or Cacheberry.

Found on the great Eclipse Trip of 2012 with Freddo.

The last cache of the day. Freddo dumped a fair few bugs in here so now it's a defacto TB hotel come backpackers.

A day of caching from Dubbo West Wyalong - the town just west of Wyalong. A day we got up close and personal to the Dish (no cricket played...). A road trip with a chance to stretch the legs with a cache is a good thing.

Thanks to RedmondFamily and clear skies from TeamAstro.

22-Nov-12
Sounds like I dropped by this afternoon not long before Freddo and TeamAstro.

I dropped off a few TBs, so it sounds like there is a nice collection of them in there now.

As of this afternoon all TBs that should be in the cache are there, except for Zuzu Zozo who has been taken but not logged. I hope she turns up on her travels in the near future.

One of 225 finds during a Brisbane and back drive. Went to Brisbane for 5 days with my family flying up and back while I drove with a car load of stuff for our working holiday. Well a holiday for me and my boys while Leanne had a wedding expo to attend, but we did manage to get to Sea World for a day, where we had a great time, before they flew back.
After some caching in Melbourne it was on to Tocumwal for the night then two more days to Brisbane. Five days there then the same trip back but in reverse. A total of 4516 km travelled with 225 caches found and even a couple of interstate FTFs along the way. The trip turned out to be a trial run almost for a Solar eclipse / Cairns trip I'm doing in November.
After caching in Melbourne I made my way to Tocumawal where I stayed at Blacklegends place (he was in Melbourne) for the night in his newly renovated caravan - very comfortable. Getting some good sleep I was up and on the road, picking up some local caches before getting onto the Newell Hwy and starting the trek north.
I arrived in West Wyalong around lunchtime where I had a short break and did the 5 caches here before continuing on. I parked on the side of the road and went over the fence into the bush to find the cache. Grabbed some TB's that were there. Thanks Redmondfamily.

07-Oct-12
Dropped off TBs.

Stopped by for a visit.

Zuzu zozo TB has been taken, but not logged as taken.

I dropped off Crazy Cat and picked up a few TB's that hadn't been logged as placed in cache. I'm going to log them and hopefully drop them back tomorrow.
