So glad we were able to attend this event! It was terrific. Very well put together! Kudos to all who organised!
Highlight - meeting others, making new friends, and the down-home genuine hospitality of oz cachers!
Definately an event to remember!
Thanks everyone!

#3447 We were blessed with good weather - a little too good to make the trek up top to the cache (but that can wait for another day) although we were impressed by others efforts - especially the piggyback ride! There were some interesting and enlightening conversations to be had - it was good to catch up with those we know and make new acquaintances. Great to see cachers from far and wide making the effort to attend. The GeoPrincess also loved having an "official" duty in drawing out the tickets. The game was enjoyable although The GeoPrincess gave up looking when a prickle got the best of her whilst Dad provided some entertainment Wink. Some new caches released earlier in the day provided some caching fun. As always we stayed a little later than anticipated but as it turns out it worked out well with a FTF to be had on the way home - it also solved the mystery to the cache on the previous day (thanks 3inOne Big Grin). Our thanks to the Riverina Geocaching for the great event, BBQ and prizes - nicely themed......perhaps the Mayans (or those who deciphered the calendar) need to reassess!

Attended this beaut event with DazRascal & a few other locals that made the trip up to The Rock for some caching, socialising and a beaut event.
We always enjoy an event help by the Roverina Crew and this was no excpetion.
Caught up with quite a few friendly faces and met some new ones which is always great.

Had to head off a bit earlier than expected to collect the GeoKids from Nans, but none the less, had a great time.

Well dones Riverina Crew! Cheers.

It was great to see so many people attending this event with visitors from Queensland, Western Australia and even a couple of Canadians.

A big thank you to the committee members who contributed to the success of this event, a special thank you to Hinco for donating a couple of Geocoins for prizes and also to 101geo for their sponsorship.

We had a great time and are looking forward to catching up with everyone at our next event unless the world really does come to a grinding halt in the meantime.

Thanks Riverina Geocaching for a great event. Really enjoyed the relaxing afternoon. Had lunch @ Pleasant Hills after checking on our new caches. Then went & checked out the sites of Milbrulong & found a few caches on the way into event. A really enjoyable, relaxing time catching up with local cachers, sharing stories, & building our friendships with you all. Just what we look for in a great event. The food & prizes topped it off. Geoson son even fitted in a walk up the hill with joelisa.

Thanks for hosting the event Riverina Geocaching. Thanks for putting the time and effort into the food, the prizes and hiding the clues and choosing a great spot we hadn't been to yet.

Oh and the juniors would like to say thank you to the lady who brought the ice cream and cones for them.

2213 Attended by baby&Mrs gopher. We were a little surprised to see so many at the event location when we arrived to set up for Doomsday.Mrs had some goodies to hang about the shed and baby was going to be a cook and bottle washer. All got to work to help get things underway. It was a great gathering and everyone had something to say to each other during the afternoon.Welcome to the folk that had come to enjoy each others company from as far away as Canada and from the northern state just over the border and from the far west.Tnx to the Riverina Geocachers for a job well done by all.

# 4970 The fun for the day started about an hour earlier in a 3 car chase for a FTF at one of the gophers new caches. And it continued on through the event. Smile
What a great attendance from both locals and far away travellers. There was much socialising and no doom and gloom about the end of the world which is exactly what these events are all about. With lots of prizes to hand out it was almost one for every team, only a few missed out, thanks to our sponsors for the event, the team at 101geo.
The special coins also donated by Hinco were a great gesture and well received by the winners.
More fun eventuated in the prize delivery which was a little different this time and rather amusing to see the skullracing dad chasing a supernano in the bush. Twisted
Well done to all the organisers, and hope to see you all again next time, if we survive.
Took a TB & left a lot of coins & TB's, TFTEC and all the fun,
Roostaman.

02-Dec-12
Had a great time caching up with the local cachers and meeting some new ones. Won the first prize, then headed up to the top of the rock FINALLY with 3InOnes youngest to get the cache at the top.

A wonderful view as always, a quick find and we headed back down. Wife enjoyed the walk down a lot more than the way up it seemed.

A great Sunday afternoon, thanks for all the effort put in to make this possible.

Once again great to catch up with everyone from the Wagga district.
Beautiful day for it, superb location, plenty of friendly faces and smiles and laughs.
And to top it all off, a snag in bread with a bit of salad went down a treat.
Sorry we couldn't stay longer, but glad we attended. Look forward to the next one, if we all live that long Smile

Thanks for organizing it. Cheers.

02-Dec-12
We attended and lived to fight another day or 2 weeks ... it was lovely to meet so many local cachers, ones who have been cachers for a while and now just starting to find caches and cachers who travelled here from overseas ... thanks again for making us feel welcome

Will be there after all, thanks to a slight change in work plans.

Be good to catch up with everyone for one last time :p

We have some good numbers attending the event on Sunday.

The current heat wave appears to be leaving us and the temperature should be down to a fine and very warm 28 at this stage.

So please remember to bring your hats, sunscreen and plenty of cool refreshments.

There will be many prizes to give away, so make sure you are there for that.

And we welcome our good friends at 101geo as a sponsor for the event with another one of their great prize draws. Visit them at 101geo.com for more info on their products.

See you all there.

29-Nov-12
Unfortunately won't be able to attend, as we'll be out of town. Hope everyone has a blast!!

Cheers

If anyone attending the event has not yet completed the Earthcache "The Rock Nature Reserve", there will be some valuable information with me at the picnic tables which should help if needed. Smile

24-Nov-12

The Nodalot team will come out of hibernation for this one. All we have to do is rub the sleep out of our eyes and prepare to give baby&Mrs gopher a hard time.... They are usually listed as the entertainment! This will be the last show on earth before the world comes to an end. Might even climb The Rock..... Nah!

15-Nov-12
Count us in.
2 Adults and 2 Geokids (Unless we hoon up on the bikes)

Always look forward to a Riverina Geocaching Event!

Now if we can channel the whole "End of the world" thing towards our places of work!

06-Nov-12
We are from Canada, coming to Australia & would love to attend this event. Can you tell me if there is camping in the area?

06-Nov-12
I would like to be able to attend especially considering that it will be the last Geocaching event ever, but unfortunately already have something else marked on the calender for that date.

06-Nov-12
Have made up our minds thanks to Fred6603 and baby&Mrs gopher... the 2 of us would love to attend.
It looks like we'll be spending our last few days on earth "down under" with a right hospitalble group!!

06-Nov-12
Hmm, Spoke with Mr Fed6603 this morning who told me this was on. Will speak with Mrs Youdfindus and find out if we can make it. Here's hoping!

08-Oct-12

08-Oct-12
baby&Mrs gopher will be there. We will be waiting for it all to end on the 21st but will have had a good time before then.

08-Oct-12
Most definitely will be 2 of us there.
Might even have a lot of possessions for sale if anyone is interested !
(Dreading to think what Hinklenator will be wearing ....)

08-Oct-12
Jesus says, "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (Mt 24:36, Mk 13:32). Therefore my dad always said if someone predicts a date, you can be certain it won't be that day! So the 3 of us will come along, relax without fear, & enjoy ourselves in the presence of other cachers - & who knows, we might even pick up some great bargains from Roostaman & any others wishing to declutter on the day Smile.

08-Oct-12
Just the one attending. Standard Terminator uniform to terminate anyone who can't wait till the end, especially any chicken men.

I'll be back.

08-Oct-12
Lost and Co hope to be there, another Doomsday!!!! Maybe it will feel like that, Xmas party the night before......[xx(]
