We have finally located and prepared a new custom container for this cache. It will be placed and re-enabled very soon.
Skippy appears to have skipped away. We have been looking for a replacement and will put back as soon as we can find one.

After cleaning up at a CITO up the road earlier, Fangsoki, 1MinnieMoo and I headed here to cleanup the caches along this trail. After coffee (of course). A gorgeous area, complete with hordes of 'roos, and muggles, but so much space to spread out that largely we all kept to ourselves. A good quick find here although the outer container has bounded away.
Thanks Herbz for entertaining me at this location.

29/5/21 Find #4811
Having attended Captain Terror’s Quarterly Cleanup #2 this morning, followed by a coffee with some of the attendees, Fangsoki, Pprime and I then headed here to complete Herbz’ HNT trail.
With the day getting on a little, we did pass a few macropods on the way to this one.
We found just what we assume to be the internal mini container with logsheet here, despite Pprime preparing to get personal with a nearby skippy!
Thanks for the cache Herbz.

Sadly Skippy has skipped away. We have put in a temporary replacement until we get another Skippy. Sorry it's not so exciting but will have to do for the time being.
Second find out with Jedry... now to try and explain that all caches aren’t this creative... bonus was seeing lots of real Roos beside the path... tftc...
EatAllThePie & I were out for a caching day this morning, and I thought we'd tackle the HNT seeing as I've never been in the area before.
After finding The Chicken nearby I had a pretty good idea of what we were looking for here - And what a cute little container it is! I was really wondering if this container would be a life-size comparison, and if so how would that get hidden in GZ.
The signing duties were done with ease, and the Campervan Geocoin stopped in for a quick visit before we scooted on our way.

On the way to this cache, we passed 4 of the animal which this cache was named after, very cool! TFTC
Came here many years ago and have always had it in mind to comeback - today’s the day .
2nd. Thanks again Herbz

Visiting from Melbourne to spend Christmas with the family. The sister in law suggested taking the 8, 10 & 13 boys on a caching adventure. A search of the geo map revealed the caches in the reserve here would be fun for this age group. Found by the 10 year old. TFTC
Well that scared the crap out of us! After looki g at all these little Joey's out here and finding this! There might have been a little scream!
I kept wandering in further down the path, which was nice and shady. The combination of the shade and the breeze made an otherwise hot, horrible day really quite pleasant. This cache didn't take too long to find. Loved the container too! Thanks Herbz!
Out for a ride through the wetlands today and love seeing all the wildlife. Great spot. Tftc
What a great hidden reserve! My in-laws brought us here so the kids could search for koalas.
Turns out my aussie kids are a little less aussie than I thought - they had no idea what I was talking about when I told them to go find skippy... DH came up with the goods whilst I was exploring the other end of the hinted item. Wish we'd had enough time to explore this reserve in depth but we did manage to grab a few more caches before it was time to head home and MIL spotted a koala. TFTC!

Crossed the border for a pillow fight today. Also met up with Wayn0 to do a bit of caching. This was the chosen location to meet.
What a great little area. Whilst I could still hear the buzz of traffic and the odd helicopter or light aircraft, it was relatively peaceful.
This is a brilliant series. Thank you for placing and maintaining it so people like myself can enjoy the location and the caches.

Thanks for the cache. In the area with No Tomorrow and some time to spare so it was decided to explore this beautiful area and work on the HNT.
Cheers

Another nice quick find whilst walking through this conservation park. TFTC.
We found it yesterday, however we had to literally run for our lives out of the wetlands due to the mozzies!! Make sure you apply a fresh layer of repellent before you go near this place at the moment!
This was a very cute cache, and 8yr old GeoJay found him quickly using the clue. Tftc!!

While staying in Surfers Paradise with our caravan in order to visit with our niece and her family while they are holidaying on the Gold Coast from Adelaide we still found time to do this series of caches. A lovely selection of hides. Fav point alloc. Thankyou Herbz for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
Enjoying a lovely walk with my muggle daughter and 2 year old granddaughter. Actually mostly a lovely "carry" for my granddaughter - mostly the only time she'd walk was when we had to go off the trail to look for a cache. Loved seeing all the kangaroos.
We managed to get 6 caches done and they were all great hides and in good condition.

It has been such a long time since the planets have aligned to allow Mrs Just a Trifle, barbbowman and Raynersinoz time to go out to play for a day, so when the opportunity arose, who could say no to a day of fun We had a great time, finding some interesting caches and wandering around some peaceful bush land paths.
Thank you Herbz for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Out with barbbowman and Mrs Just a Trifle today down the Goldie. It's a great day for caching, sunny and warm, let's see what we can find...
If you want to take the geokids caching, the HNT series is a perfect choice, they can walk or ride their bikes and the cache containers are exceptionally cute. Plus there's hundreds of kangaroos for them to see. There was one very close to this cache, LOL! TFTC Herbz

Well between the location of the hide and the name of the cache hide, there were certainly plenty of Skippys around. Signed, sealed and returned. TFTC
Last hide for today. Enjoyed my walk here in the area. I had big fun with the caches. Thanks for great placements and for bringing me here. I was glad to see so many kangaroos here for free! TFTC All good at GZ. FP awarded for all in the area.
Grabbing some caches while enjoying a bush walk. Heaps of kangaroos in here. TFTC
I was out for a day of caching today with Selva Girls and Mr & Mrs RoddyC. We spent an enjoyable morning in the wetlands, taking in nature and marvelling at the many roos. We found many creative caches making this a great spot to spend a few hours in the fresh air. Thanks for the time you've taken to place and maintain these caches Herbz
Out for a day of caching with storigirls and RoddyC. What a better place than the wetlands to go for a walk. There were lots of fun caches to be found here, along with a great variety of wildlife to watch. Another quick find of yet another fun outer container. TFTC
We came across your cache, Herbz, on a Saturday geocacher day in the company of Selva Girls and Story I girls.
We found the bush kangaroo.
Log signed and cache replaced at 10:16 AM on June 23, 2018. TFTC.

Today was the last day of the Commonwealth Games and therefore was my last day staying on the Gold Coast, where I have been holidaying with my family for the past two weeks.
My husband and I were eager to expore the Coombabah Lakelands Conservation area and find some of the HNT series.
We found all eight cache that we looked for and were also rewarded with seeing lots of kangaroos, one koala and many birds.
Thank you Herbz for this cache and the HNT series.

Tftc. Not the first try but the second. First was at the wrong end of that object.
Friday 24 November 2017 - a glorious sunny Spring day in the high 20s although a bit breezy making cycling a but more of an effort than it should otherwise have been.
Found 12 from 13 caches (11 trads, 1 letterbox) after cycling over 12km around the reserve in approx. 3hrs. In total I cycled 30km over 6.5hrs to and from north High Street Southport, where MuggleDaughter lives, stopping off in Habour Town to pick up few things on the way home.
Loved the boardwalk trail best of all and the change of scenery between caches. Also should have heeded the previous cachers warning re: mosquitoes. MUST TAKE INSECT REPELLANT NEXT TIME. A favourite point for this series will be placed on the 'Gordon' cache - my favourite
I did fear that a snake could be hiding or slithering nearby particularly given the cache location. Used a stick and a torch to ensure that the coast was clear before retrieving. TFTC Herbz.

Found ... Mrs McMike2012 & I had bought our Grandson over to visit relations & to take him to both Movie World & Sea World on the Gold Coast ... thought we'd better pick up a couple of caches to at least justify our time spent fossicking around ... easy find ... log quickly completed & replaced ... TN:LN:SL ... TFTC ... #1,548 for us.
Skippy has a nice little hiding spot. Ain't nobody sticking their hand in that hole without first looking inside .
I love these containers!!!
Thank you
I love these containers!!!
Thank you
There was plenty of bird life to be heard as I made my way along the trail. Waiting at GZ was a fine specimen, a great container!
As I was to discover on my travels there were many kangaroos throughout the Conservation area.
Thanks to Herbz for placing this cache.

I had found most of the HNT caches except for this one so seeing as I was on a big mountain but bike ride from Paradise Point this morning - I had this one on my to do list. I LOVED all the containers on the HNT and the creative ways the logs had been included. I think my favourite was the frog one I got a while back. Thanks so much for all these caches Herbz! PS had the pleasure of catching some cachers retrieving one of my caches next to Coombabah Creek on the way!
Spending the morning caching in this peaceful spot in Coombabah. This was the 5th find. Another unique one...TFTC!
