Was in the area and trotted to get this. No problems and all is well. Thanks the Seagnoid for taking the time to place the cache and for bringing me here.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Manawatu, here we go!**The Long and Winding Road - The Beetles**The long and winding roadThat leads to your doorWill never disappearI've seen that road beforeIt always leads me hereLead me to you doorThis was the first of this series of puzzles solved - It gave us confidence to look at the others (cue rolled eyes) We had a good look at ground zone as we crossed the bridge in the car. Gap predicted that the cache would be thereabouts, and he was correct. Thanks the Seagnoid. TFTP and TFTC.

One positive that came from my recent bout of covid, was time to figure out the answers for this series. So today, a dot day, and I needed to be over this side of town. Win/win. Tftc.

An interesting puzzle, quickly solved thank goodness. Out and about with Talla64 and enjoying our caching mission. Thanks for the puzzle and the nicely camoed cache the Seagnoid.

Another journey to the Manawatu from Kapiti with Flowerydaze hunting for caches. Lovely warm spring day for caching. All good here TFTC the Seagnoid

Many years ago Infoferret told me about using this method to find information about a cache.

Out and about caching with Itchyfeet2020 and matagouri for a fun day caching in and around Palmerston North to cache and to visit friends at a board gaming day. Apologies for the late log. Not quite sure how we signed it -either with our individual names or 3W for the 3 Wellingtonians.

Kia ora rawa atu for the cache the Seagnoid.

15-Jul-23
Out for a day's caching in Palmy with NZ_B and Itchyfeet2020. I'd solved this puzzle a couple of months ago, ironically following a tutorial session by the CO on how to solve puzzles like this one. A sort walk to approach GZ, where the find was swiftly made. All good, tftc!

15-Jul-23
I found this series when a friend sent his list through prior to todays road trip. It was great it gave me time to solve this also and have it waiting for today. On a road trip with NZ_B and matagouri today and enjoying caching with friends in Palmie and grabbing another Seagnoid puzzle. Gentle stroll out to GZ and hidden in a nice cosy spot. Thanks the Seagnoid.

02-Jul-23
A bit of an odd longish weekend that had me up to Wanganui, Palmerston North, and even over to Waipukurau. Not as many caches found as I wanted, and at one point I got the car stuck so bad I thought I was going to have to call for an assist to tow me out.

No problem solving this puzzle some time ago, and stopped by today for a quick find once I got to the spot where it was. All good here.

---
Thanks to _ for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.

[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

27-May-22
Solved a few puzzle caches ahead of coming down this way this weekend (and taking a day off work today for caching), not nearly as many as I would have liked but this was one. Walking around trying to find as many as I can while GAR at the local branch of our work this morning. Walked right past this one until I looked down and realised the distance numbers were heading in the wrong direction. Back tracked and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks for the puzzle and hide! And the adventure continues...

08-May-22
Solved as part of a training activity Smile Found with family who I have forced into going geocaching with me while in PN. Thanks for the cache Smile

02-May-22
Found it easily, a nice little walk!

22-Sep-21
Signed the log with barefootguru and Infoferret on 18/9/21, but didn't solve it until today! Fortunately it was the first thing I tried. TFTC!

Found in the excellent company of BFG & D. TFTC _ !

17-Jul-21
A nice quick find thanks. A train hitched up and took off as I approached GZ.

Ms_KR and I are up in the lower North Island, fulfilling lots of items on our wish list. Today was drive to Wellington from Palmerston North. Traffic was a bit heavy due to the rain and slips but we made it OK.

Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

21-Mar-21
Yippee another one found. Had solved this puzzle a while ago, - on first look it was a ‘what the heck is going on here’ but then a penny dropped, and yes puzzle solved. We were out and about and nearby to the cache and decided to try and find when few muggles around. Soon spotted, cache signed and replaced as found.

31-Jan-21
On a weekend road trip with Philip.Perry, McJandals and NZFlossy down to the Manawatu. Day 1 we are hitting the 20/20 series then not sure what we will be doing. Day 2 today we are geocaching around Palmerston North doing a few puzzles , lab caches and Traditional caches in between.
Signed logs TeamBOP.

31-Jan-21
Off on another adventure with Team BOP to the Manawatu on a long weekend Great weather and company And lots of different types of caches Day two Using this template but will try to add add individual notes as we go Thanks to all the COs for providing the caches and fun

31-Jan-21
Team BOP back together after a 3 month hiatus - this time hitting the Manawatu with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else that crosses our path

We’ve signed our logs as Team BOP to save time and log space and have thoroughly enjoyed the journey so far. Pleasantly surprised that very little maintenance has been required and that most caches have been found quickly & without fuss.

While I am cut&pasting these logs using the Cachly ‘text template’ I do genuinely appreciate the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles. Cheers and TFTC

31-Jan-21
What to do on a long weekend. Organise a trip to the mighty Manawatu So here we are. Team BoP on a mission. Cheers for bringing me here. Day two of a great trip.

I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

28-Jan-21
Great puzzle, thankfully didn't take too long to extract the co-ordinates. This was a fun little hide, that we managed to spot quite quickly. ThanksFTC Seagnoid Smile

05-Dec-20
Heading down to Palmerston North for the weekend to see our daughter performing in a circus show- Ithaca. Parked up and got on my bike to collect some nearby caches. Solved a while ago I’m sure by Mrs Rubbishparty. She’s the brains and I’m the hunter and gatherer. Quick find. Sadly no trains. Thanks

23-Feb-20
we are out trying our mt bikes out and what better place than the Remutaka rail trail.
This area is so full of rail way history an the things people did many years ago just to help the wheels of the industry to keep going around
many thanks

04-Feb-20
Solved the puzzle and had a bit of time to look but it was super busy at GZ just after 3pm on a sunny day so after being approached by a JW on a bike who wanted to discuss the state of the world I abandoned the search for today!

14-May-19
Daughter had been studying for her masters at Massey and a couple of months ago, got the message about the graduation ceremony being this week, so airfares were booked from Whangarei for a flying two day visit.

Next on the agenda was to solve a few puzzles and hopefully, I would be able to fit in some caching time in between formalities.

After checking in to our accommodation and then a pre grad dinner, we passed by this one late at night, which was quite convenient, as it meant there were very few muggles around. Not many places a cache could really be here, but it still took a couple of minutes and a bit of lost blood, before the cache was in hand, the log book signed and then returned as found.

Pleased to find this one 15 months after the last finder. TFTC

07-Feb-18
Thanks for the heads up guys.
Cache container has been replaced Smile

04-Feb-18
My Mini-me and I was in Palmy today, dropping my mum off at the airport to start her long journey back to the UK and Spain, so decided that we should at least make the effort to find a few caches on the trip back home to distract ourselves from the sadness of saying goodbye, as well as probably getting my 250th Cache as I was starting the day on 247.

As this particular find would end up being my 250th, I wanted something memorable, and these blank caches (of which there are several series) have been of interest to me for a while now, simply from the obvious perspective of "where the heck do I start?" So seeing as I couldn't sleep last night, I decided to do some research on how one is supposed to tackle a cache like this. Google is indeed your friend, as a website gave me a few pointers to try, one of which turned out to be right for this cache.

So with the co-ordinates locked in for GZ (and having met the CO, how apt was the location lol!) we hoped this would be a relatively straightforward find. Previous log entries seemed to indicate that this could be a bit tricky, but we located it within a minute or two by simple process of elimination.

There were few Muggles around, which is usually the case I find on Sunday mornings, so I was able to sign the log on behalf of my self and ThatWeirdGuy04 and quietly replace as found.

I'm always appreciative of the efforts that CO's and their proxies make to place and maintain Caches, especially in high muggle areas. So thank you for all your efforts.

I have awarded a FP in recognition of your efforts with placing Puzzle Caches, which are my favourite kind, and I can now display my 250 Finds GeoCoin with pride Smile

Found today with TwigNZ after heading into Palmy to see my Grandmother off on her trip back to Spain. TFTC, TNLNSL

01-Feb-18
It good to have a puzzle thats not to difficult to solve ...the find was straight forward and cache in good condition except the lid hinge is broken but still fits tftc

01-Feb-18
Briefly back here on our way further south. Cleaning up a few puzzles on the way. At least I could solve this one. The cache container lid hinge is no longer there so lid is just sitting on container and may easily disappear over the edge. Thanks for the placement and puzzle TheSeagnoid

22-Jan-18
With the weather not knowing what it was going to do, I decided to head into town to pick up some of the puzzles that I've had solved for a long time. The rain had eased off by the time I parked up nearby so it was a pleasant walk. I'm beginning to pick up a theme to the locations of this series, and pleased to note that there wasn't any unfortunate beasts near this one. Quite a busy road but as the traffic was continually moving there wasn't much point in being too cautious about my activities. The cache was finally found - quite a bit of resistance there! Signed and replaced. TFTC

13-Apr-17
We came down to Palmerston North last night for the long weekend. Popped out with my muggle father to get some supplies this morning before Cyclone Cook hits.

I worked out where this cache was hidden last time we were down, but didn't retrieve it, so we stopped by today while we were out - and Dad spotted it, just as the rain started! Thanks.

19-Jan-17
Between muggles in cars and those walking along here, it took a little while to get the cache. An easy find though. Thanks

03-Aug-16
Ha ha ... third time lucky. Think I need to go to Spec Savers. Very good camo.

31-Jul-16
This series has been a bone of contention for a while now as I had no inkling in where to even start. However, through a combined effort of myself, marisa&kaleb and sunju, we figured out a couple of the series and another similar puzzle. Turns out this is the easiest of the series and I can only think that I haven't looked at it before, as I found the coordinates using a method I have known about for months.

Had to come into palmy to buy a couple of things for my black tie awards event later in the week and thought I'd try this on what I hoped would be a slightly less traffic day. Still a busy route in a Sunday morning and I had to contend with a couple of walking muggles as well.

Looked at a couple of things that didn't seem quite right before turning my attention to another item and after a short while, there it was. TFTC

30-Jul-16
Found the co-ordinates easily enough. Went to GZ yesterday and again today and despite a thorough search I have not been able to locate the cache. What the? Will it be third time lucky or could it be gone? I looked deep down what could be classed as a "hole" that was previously referred to. Don't you hate it when you have the co-ords and you can't still find it!

22-Jul-16
One of the few in this series I have come to grips with. Took me a while to spot where the container was hiding. Jumped to the wrong conclusion to start which is always dangerous. Cheers and TFTC

12-Jul-16
Stopped by to check on this one.
Cache is still in place, but had been pushed far back into its hole.
Retrieved cache and replaced in its proper location

22-Jun-16
Solved the puzzle without too much difficulty, I've seen this kind of puzzle before.
At GZ however, things were not as easy, I found what could possibly be traces of the cache, possibly I just didn't hunt around long enough!

18-Jun-16
Solved this one, was looking in the right place with my eyes shut so text a friend to open them, and there it was. So one down and 4 to go.tftc.

30-Apr-16
After figuring out -(IV) some time ago, and working to figure out the rest of the series, I started noticing trend... Found this cache on a hunch I had. Turned out to be right! I still have no clue how anyone else found the co-ordinates on the website - I tried and tried. Gut instinct wins today!

30-Mar-16
Finally solved the puzzle after coming to a blank many times wondering how on earth can you work out a blank puzzle? So searched google and found a page that helps with these types of puzzles! Thank goodness for that! Then BINGO found the required coordinates! So in palmy today decided to go look for cache. Looked at the most obvious places with no luck....then had a haha moment and cache was in hand. Signed log and safely replaced. Tftc. Now will have to work on the next in this series.

06-Mar-16
Had a free afternoon yesterday so what better to use the time for than to finally have a go at solving some of the local puzzle caches around here. I like the idea of puzzle caches as I enjoy puzzles but somehow have never really got around to doing them. Hopefully this will get me rolling now that I have started to get into it. When I first saw these puzzles I had no idea how to do them but after talking to a few other fellow geocachers I got a few tips of things to try when there is nothing on the page so I thought I may as well give it a go. This one was actually pretty easy once I knew where to look for the coordinates! Finding the cache however was a different matter.... spent quite some time peering around and feeling very exposed and awkward. Almost gave up and walked away several times but after solving the puzzle I really wanted the hide. In the end I managed to put my hand on it after reading a few logs and convincing myself that I was indeed in the right place. Don't know how I overlooked the hiding spot I thought I had looked everywhere but I was in the right area all along, although I had thought it would be a smaller container. Thanks for the cache!

21-Feb-16
TFTC, solved this puzzle a while ago, just had to wait until next time I was in Palmy to retrieve it.

31-Jan-16
Visited tonight and confirmed cache is still in place. In fact, I saw it as I approached!
Sorry Jamogen, looks like you'll need to look and look some more Wink

20-Jan-16
I solved the puzzle earlier today when I was having a puzzle solving spree! I was very happy to have got this one. It was the first of it's kind we have tried! We went to the GZ this evening and looked and looked but couldn't find our prize Sad

08-Nov-15
Found two weeks ago with pahia321. Tftc

07-Nov-15
What joy I had not only knocking off the puzzle but on my 1500 # cache found with a struggle TFTC

07-Nov-15
Solved the puzzle eighteen months ago shortly after I started geocaching - my first of any substance. In town this weekend for Etherlord's 2015 GIFF event so an ideal opportunity to finally put this one to bed. Thank you for the puzzle & the cache

27-Oct-15
Interesting puzzle. Took a while to figure out how to solve it but eventually got the numbers I needed. Spent a lot of time "talking" on my phone while sussing out the hide. I had checked google maps & had a good idea where to look but my phone was telling me otherwise. Should've trusted google maps on this occasion...soon had cache in hand, signed & replaced although timing was necessary to avoid looking dodgy. TFTC and the frustrating puzzle.

26-Oct-15
Never been so worried about dropping a cache, thanks for the cache and puzzle!

10-Oct-15
Tried to find this before but had to abort the mission due to a caring young man who was worried that my peering and seeking behaviours indicated that I might be about to harm myself. This time I had the wonderful company of Fluffybeard so I looked less suicidal and success followed. Well camouflaged cache.

10-Oct-15
Found with Ningerguts. Coords not too hard to find, cache more of a challenge. Thought perhaps we had wrong side, but at last Ningerguts came up with the goods. Tftc.

14-Aug-15
Stopped by during my lunchbreak, cache is all in place and waiting to be found

11-Aug-15
solved but unable to find. Chased away a bird from a possible hiding spot. Drove away and on the way passed had another idea and returned and that proved fruitless as well.

27-Jun-15
Thanks for the cache Smile

27-Jun-15
Found with lottietree and SJT_NZ. TFTC

27-Jun-15
Quickly realised what was going on and cords soon in hand. Passing through Palmerston North this afternoon - a quick find with Lottietree & TregearP.

All in good order, TFTC.

13-Jun-15
Found with Gr33nslime

13-Jun-15
#696 Initially I looked at this series and was just mind blown - how does one solve a puzzle with no information at all provided? Does one have to know the cache owner intimately, is there some sort of cacher gang knowledge that I wasnt privy to? Well JimmyNZ actually solved this one using a technique that I had forgotten to apply in my panic. After that, we were on a roll. There are actually many opportunities to hide information beneath the surface. The actual find was easy - after the stress of the solve! TFTC!

17-May-15
Thanks for the Unknown Cache. Quite a puzzle - I wouldn't have solved it without the hint from Etherlord at a recent event... this morning I went for a walk before dawn and signed the log. TFTP Cool

06-May-15
What the? How does one even go about trying to solve this with no information. All you folk must be very lateral thinkers. Ill have to come back to this one... or not =)

06-May-15
You think _(I) is hard, Gr33nslime? Try _(V)!
I had struggled with it for just over a year before someone gave me a hint at a recent event...[:o]

14-Apr-15
Took a few minutes to find, apparently my eyes don't work so well at dusk. Tftc.

28-Mar-15
We couldn't believe it when we actually worked out the coordinates! We'd finally solved one of 'those impossible caches'! A quick find at the final. TFTC

22-Mar-15
our first hidden find. Actually solved it fairly quickly. B & C enjoyed the location as the views were good for them. TFTC

15-Feb-15
FINALLY!! Of course found by the master finder Master Swiss! He's loving that he's finding all the nano's & super hidden cache's.

Had to widen our search area from the co-ords we found. It was of course exactly the type of cache I'd been trying to look for but I just couldn't see it, I think it was 4 DNF visits & finally today we found it. Should have take Master Swiss with us on earlier visits.

Now to knock off the rest of the series.

11-Jan-15
stopped by while out and about.
Cache is still in place. (in fact, I saw it as I approached Smile)

09-Jan-15
Had solved this one a while ago but after completing another one in the series today decided to race out to get this one. But no.....DNF....gutted!

Was pretty "busy" so Miss Swiss had a great time. Next time will take Master Swiss. He'll love it.

having got the numbers all sorted it was a nearby cache parking west of the "Raised"area and a quick walk to GZ Thank you for the cache.

26-Oct-14
#5818. Nice puzzle. Quick find in between muggles today. TNLNSL. TFTC.

19-Oct-14
i must have been blind missing this the first time. TFTC now i have to figure out the rest of the series. Smile

23-Sep-14
Maintenance visit by Etherlord.

Lunchtime Muggles meant he couldn't check the contents, but the container is still there. In fact he saw it as he approached.

15-Sep-14
Spent about half an hour looking. this one has had me stumped for a while. I had some help with the coordinates. I'll half to take another look later

02-Aug-14
have had this cache saved and worked out for a while now, we havent had the chance to go get this cache but now on a rainy day it was perfect timing and also helped towards our 7 souvenirs. tftc

01-Jun-14
Solved this puzzle quite a while ago. Didn't take too long to locate this cache today. Thanks for the hide.

03-May-14
Good puzzle thanks. Worked it out last night but won't be driving the 190+km to claim it this week.

12-Apr-14
I have had this one in the "solved but not found" pile for a while but haven't really been going past at a good time to retrieve it. This morning very very early after collecting (V) in the series I thought I should clean up all of these Manawatu series. Very easy find when at the location.

05-Apr-14
Cannot believe we finally managed to solve this puzzle - it was so frustrating! We were so excited when we finally uncovered the answer we went out at 8 o'clock at night to sign the log which was probably the best time to go as there were no muggles about. TFTC - I think..... might have a crack at a few similar ones now we know what to do!:)

03-Mar-14
Had help to solve this. Good to have another smiley to keep my cache-a-day streak going. (139) Thanks for the cache.

07-Feb-14
very cool , tftc

12-Dec-13
Finally got this one! Third time visiting here. TFTC

20-Nov-13
Took a while to figure out but a quick find on location tftc.

20-Nov-13
Plain as day. Great cache with a bit of hunting

18-Nov-13
Tried to find this today but i must be blind. Will have to take my son back with me since he is really good at finding them.

27-Oct-13
Aargh! I'm quite blind it seems, gave the most likely spot a thorough search but only spotted the blighter, plain as day, as I was just about to walk away in disgust.

TFTC

13-Oct-13
Needless to say we had to enlist the help of family sleuth markhnz to solve this puzzle. For some reason, we thought it was at a different level, and attempted to access the roadway alongside the railway, but failed to find a way. Markhnz corrected our error, and today the cache was a fairly quick find. TFTC

18-Sep-13
We have been learning a bit more about this type of puzzle recently and had a relatively quick solve of this one.
Today we are caching in and around Palmerston North picking up solved puzzles. Thanks for this one.

20-Aug-13
Had a tip off how to solve this at a local geocaching event some time ago. Worked it out but it took two visits to locate the container. Visiting by bike was an excellent way to search without attracting attention. Very satisfying to tick off this minimalistic puzzle and another smiley for August. Thanks Seagnoid!

Being a bit fuzzy in the head due to a head cold I thought I would struggle with the hide given there are so many possibilities at GZ. Fortunately geo-luck was on my side and I soon had the cleverly hidden cache in hand. The cache was a bit bigger than I was expecting. No doubt this hide will have a few cachers guessing.

TFTC Smile

04-May-13
Found early this morning with justlivi1901
Clever cache

04-May-13
Found with capperz
TFTC

02-May-13
Got the coordinates easy, struggled a bit with the find, but got there on second visit. Pretty stumped on Manawatu(II) unfortunately

02-May-13
TFTC found with MAKESHlFT, after an unsuccessful first attempt late last night came back refreshed this evening with a different mindset and went straight to it

28-Apr-13
Being knowledgable about the way the puzzle was set up, I solved this very quickly. Cache found after a minute of frantic searching (Muggles everywhere). TFTC
