This cache hasn't been found for a few months now. Very disappointed that it is missing and not been put back as we were trying to do some caches in every place we visit whilst we are visiting friends and family in NZ. If you're not going to replace it, then it would be good to archive it
No response from owner. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
With no finds since last year, we wouldn't have looked for this cache except we were biking right past it. Gave it 5 minutes but too many places to search, so carried on.
Is the cache still there? Looking at previous comments not been found since Nov 15
Not lucky for us - too much flax and grass at GZ, and couldn't come up with the cache!
Lots of live grass and flax, but too much of it in a very muggly area to search for it
Ha-ha we had some laughs at this one. Hubby almost fell into the water he saved himself but the pen went flying. Found the cache but couldn't sign the log. Did take quite some time to find. Tftc
7050. Out for a day's geocaching in the Tauranga area with Nodo (David and Noelene) from Waihi. This was our twentienth cache find of the day. What a nice area to live in. When Rodney's parents lived in Papamoa Beach Road this was all boggy paddocks! Rodney sat this one out in the car as he was feeling tired, but , after the others had given up he went back with David and he had the cache in hand after a reasonably long search and signed it off. Now off to find a some others in the area. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
5.10pm. We are spending the day in Tauranga with "Sallies" from Christchurch. This one had us stumped and then we tried again and were about to give it up again when Rodney spotted it.
Thank You David and Noeline.

This was one of more than fifty Geocaches I found today in the company of HKB and 11hpg11. We signed the logs HI1, an anachronism of our handles to save on log space. We travelled over to the Mount and Papamoa from Hamilton, leaving at the end of the All Black/ South Africa test at about 5am and didn’t roll back into Hamilton until after 8pm. It was a long day, and the weather wasn’t the best but that didn’t stop us from having a great time exploring the area and enjoying the wide variety of high quality hides.
This took a while to find. We dove in and must have looked pretty odd to any passersby. HKCB made the find while I was mining the logs hopping for a better hint.

Out on a numbers mission with HKCB and Iammrwalker to clear out some of the caches in Tauranga/Papamoa area. We left Hamilton at 5am and had a full day of caches, a few DNFs, a refreshing swim in a pond and a whole lot of laughs. We signed logs as 'HI1' as an acronym for our caching names to save log space. Thanks to all the cache owners for the great variety of caches, puzzles and location
Really is a needle in a haystack but we were determined to get lucky today. Spent a lot of time looking in and around the flaxes and grass. Saw some lucky ducks. Finally managed to find the cache.

Out for a numbers mission in and around The Mount and Papamoa with 11HPG11 and iammrwalker today. With a very early start of 5am agreed on, it was going to be a long day compounded by the All Blacks playing before we left which meant a 3am alarm being set the night before. We all had a great time and a lot of laughs were had in between some frustrating hides, a really enjoyable multi and a couple of great field puzzles. All in all a very successful day with only a handful of DNF's, the weather keeping at bay for most of the day and 86 new smiles added to the map in a little under 13 hours of caching. We signed the cache log "Hi 1" an acronym of our caching names. A big thanks to all the cache owners for placing some great caches.
We were lucky we got this one. Quite a few places to look and a jumpy GPS didn't help. Eventually stumbled upon the cache.

Found today and although it was school holidays the day was pretty chilly so no muggles about. tftc
Still on the bike I got to this cool little pond. Crossed the bridge and met the locals. They come up quite close to you, guess they're used to getting fed, well I had no food on me so they left disappointed. And I came close to doing the same but sheer determination got me to it. I spent a good 20 minutes poking around here, so close to a DNF but that old "one last look" got me there. Not too wet inside the container, signed log.

Too much long grass and muggles out on bikes. Spent a while poking around but no joy.
This was quite a mission to find
Thanks for extra clue Noodlekidz
In centre not base is my added hint

About to give up when spotted. Mucky area alright. Here with granddaughter Peyton. Tftc
Found while on a weeks camping at Papamoa and out on our bikes to check out
the water ways. The container needs replacing it was all wet inside and there is
something real bad around the cache that made me have to wash with sanitizer.

Just the girls out today for a sunny reserve ride while Mr HHunter did some 'proper' cycling. Lid is not quite fitting propery and cache contents very wet. Sorry, we must start carrying spare containers like the experienced cachers suggest!
Lucky for me and rather a surprise as well as I foudn it among the flax and overgrown grass. t4tc
What a great backyard for the houses backing onto these reserves. Cache was bang on thanks
Yay finally found. Decided to get out on my bike and do the Papamoa tracks after all our stormy weather we have had and along the way thought I would drop in and pick up this cache. Thanks to the Noodlekidz new hint it is still there and is now signed by us. TFTC.
#251 - Finally found this one on my walk today, i have looked for this one quite a few times before now!! And i can definitely say i found it and it is still there, a little soggy but all intact, thanks noodlekids for the hint it did the trick.
Have just checked the cache, while going past on our bikes.
The cache is still there. Look at the base of the flax bush, directly in line with the large palm tree. Under long dead grass.

Has anyone checked that this is still where it should be as no one has found it in four months, maybe its lost.
No luck, had 4 of us looking with two blood hound (Labradors). I think this one may have gone for its own swim.
Finally found it today after it eluded us the first time we tried - put off by the many dog walking muggles in the area that day. Not a soul in sight today, guess that's the advantage of a rainy day! Found after a few minutes, glad it didn't take us much longer as there were clouds of midges around GZ... TFTC!
Couldnt find it, even with hint. Looked in flax and dead grass but could not spot it.
Spending the morning after the picnic event, to bag some caches in this lovely area. Were just lucky I think with this one that we were standing in the right place to make a quick find. May need some attention, as container is not waterproof. SL. TFTC.
After yesterday's Social Event we thought we'd do some caching today, and it was a much better day for it. Looks like we were still following Darby & Joan (nice to meet you yesterday!). This place wasn't lucky for us though, had a quick look at the area indicated by the clue, but the co-ords kept leading us to the tree instead, so we gave up and moved on. Maybe more luck another time?
Not too hard to find. An excavator was there to scrape the ground for a walk way, but the driver was taking lunch. No problems being seen. Grabbed TB. Thanks Bjaylau.
Looked in the flax bushes until the ducks came to see me I took so long. Didn't find it. GPS was not very accurate - possibly because it was late in the day. However I did find some empty plastic coin bags. Might look again another day.
Found on dusk with the help of the iPad's glow -really quite lucky but you need a little of this at times. TFTC. Left a TB.
Another not found and getting too dark with no night tools as well as mosey neighbor muggle checking us out over the fence. It'll keep till tomorrow ??
I don't like these ones that are in sight of houses, but Steed found it pretty quickly. In metal elephant, out rubber ducky.
Found it after helping daughter move to new place in Papamoa. Nice and handy.

Second time lucky for us with this one... found using the "chook" method - lots of scratching around with a stick. Thanks for the cache.
Very quick find as cache was partly exposed on arrival. Signed log and covered up better before leaving. TFTC!
2/1/13 @ 2.10pm - Apart from a aggressive pukeko guarding her babies a quick find. SLTFTC
Big ducks and a little yapping dog kept their eyes on us as we wandered to the cache!
Nice hide which we found by tapping it with a foot before we saw it, much easier that way!

A reasonably quick find even under the cover of darkness. Must've been our lucky night! Blaf enjoyed the chance to stretch his legs. TFTC

Was about to give up when Papamoabikers rolled up with the cache in mind.Eventually after a lot of scratching about by all it was brought to the light of day by them. A lot to be said for joint efforts.Thankyou.
The kids joined forces with kennyclan and between us we managed to locate it after a longer-than-it-needed-to-be search. The kids swapped a couple of the treasures. TFTC. #40
We were lucky today and found the cache at Lucky Pond, geopup really excited and wanted to chase the resident ducks TFTC.
we wee geting ready to give up but logs helped us find the cache in a nice convenient place...no need to get into the clue spot nor get grubby. Thanks for this very full, interesting cache that children will love.
Popped in for a cache on the way home with the grandchildren. Looked like a daunting prospect, as there were lots of the hint item available to search through. As it turned out, after three or four locations were tested, it was a relatively quick find. The wind was very strong today so there were very few out walking to bother us on the search. Had to watch the 2 year old near the water, but the ducks kept him entertained. I didn't bring any swag with me, else I would have bagged up the logbook which looks a little vulnerable to water. Will try and remember next time I am passing. TFTC

Good find while caching around the area. Unfortunately heavy showers of rain but TuisReturn & I tried to get some of the quicker caches. SL TFTC
A very conspicuous placement. Searched the local flora and eventually came up with the cache. Just about to return when snapped by an old dear walking her dog. Took cache for a walk before replacing. TFTC.
Down this way today picking up couple of new caches - just what I always love flax and dead grass - not as bad as I thought though - nice cache - lovely area to bring visitors - congrats for your first cache and yes welcome to caching TFTC

Grabbed this one just after lunchtime today on our way into the Mount. Where are the local cachers??
Congrats on your first placement and welcome to geocaching! TFTC.
