The start of my day caching, I bee-lined here to finally solve the Mega Menagerie. Had to turn around to park on the one 'safe' parking spot on this road. On reaching the cache site I was resigned to what I would have to do to retrieve the cache, but I was very pleased that I escaped without a scratch. Tftc!
Mum dived into a bush for this one! Big container, be sure to bring something to swap or drop, Thanks for the cache!
Cache 1584 last minute trip to Dunedin/Oamaru. Main aim of the trip is 2 D/T spots, large and not chosen size caches for a challenge, sign some other challenge caches and maybe get a few oldies if time allows This was the first stop of the day a nice easy PnG Large cache, in good condition T4TC

We attended NZ's first Mega way back when, so must have driven past this cache a few times unknowingly! This trip, I'm wanting to up our large container finds, so this was on "the list" as it is just a short detour.

Very wet day but needed a dot day cache. Thought this one looked easy and it was, but I got soaked in the process! TFTC.

Not too many opportunities to travel around Mosgiel in a previous life when visiting the outlaw years ago so I get to explore these side roads now as a cacher. Pulled up to a spot wide enough for the truck to spot the cache from the higher position just visible in the long grass. Most likely a previous finder didn't hide it wery well. Finally a 10Lt cache with a healthy accompaniment of swag and decent logbook to sign. Not too many opportunities to use my stamp on logbooks that aren't micros dressed as smalls or pillcans. Swapped some prime swag and returned the cache more hidden, catching on a little bit of guardian. That'll take some time to heal, glad I don't have thin skin like some others. Caching injury Meh! TFTC Awarding a Fav for it's size and condition courtesy of my luvly sponsor.
One of those I can't believe I didn't find it the first time. The last time I looked (a fair while ago, must have been in 2018 when the new iterations were hidden, before I gave up on the series after the somewhat out of sync Into the Woods II) and came away with nothing but some very sore scratched up arms. Today straight to it, I have no idea how I missed that before. TFTC #355
On a return roadie up to Oamaru picking up targetted caches.. and some more of course! Couldn't miss this one

Fully clad in waterproofs, including gumboots, even in the wet this was an ok find. Good to find some of these big buckets still going. Thanks for placing this one.
After surviving days of cold, grey, drizzly days and with the afternoon being a little bit brighter it was time to get outdoors. A very quick park n grab. Tftc

Out for a Sunday afternoon drive. Haven't been to this area much so today was a good day for some exploring. After finding some caches along the Flagstaff - Whare Flat Road it was a quick stop here before arriving back at the main road over Three Mile Hill. A nice easy find and the late afternoon sun made for beautiful views of Saddle Hill in the distance. TFTC
Whilst already filled in my dot day, need to get my numbers up as still aiming to reach 2,000 before midnight 31st Dec'16.

Well another quick fire visit to Dunedin for work and manging to squeeze in a few caches along the way. While they had been expecting rain it was actually rather mild and pleasent out caching.
The objective for this trip was to collct as many caches as I could working towards that infurnel DGSc Challenge that seems to be taking forever to complete, but then saying that I only require a further 70 caches to meet the requirements (and needless to say I have to travel further and further from home to acheive them.
Heading for the airport and a want to find a final large cache before heading back northwards

I was out searching for caches this morning as I was parked close by at the A&P showgrounds. I wwas down for the Mega but this wasn't on my radar then.

What a great cache for the youngest Gruffalo to find! This is our first ever 'large' cache and we took the opportunity to trade some items, drop off Penelope Pig trackable, and picked up our first Bookcrossing item before signing the log. Thanks for a great and fun cache.
