Day 36 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and today hired ebikes and took a tour around the loop to Westshore collecting caches along the way and completing 3 Adventure Labs. What a beautiful day to be out and about in Napier. Thanks for contributing to an amazing holiday Again love the work in preparing this spot. Full points
Day thirty five of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Hired some deadly treadlies and rode a trail around Napier today, a few AdLab stages and a few caches.Nice blue skies and light breeze, perfect caching weather. Thanks, Robmc.
Up from palmy staying in Napier for Easter. The weather is great so I ended up going for a 35km scooter round Napier, also found acouple caches that I havent yet found. I then later met up with my dad as he wasnt too far from where I was and stopped for a bit of a fish! Nice hide here. Track was quite busy but a gap with no muggles made this a quick find! Nice sized cache.I wrote in the log and placed the cache carefully back as found. TFTC. Thanks giraffrey for placing this Traditional cache! giraffrey , ! 1 April 2024 at 11:10AM#929th Find
Great location for a cache, very quiet for the hour before and as soon as I retrieved the cache there were a stream of cyclists in both directions!TFTCGeoDuffs
We hadn't quite planned to search for these caches from this direction, but it was a lovely day, just perfect for a walk. I marvelled at the walkway created over this area , and then under bridges. Popular place with walkers and cyclists. Thanks for bringing me to the wetlands. Tide fully out.
9 February 2023 14:00 TFTC giraffrey for placing this cache, number 12358 for me. Parked up and walked over to this one. Certainly hot today! Now to find some AL stages...
A quick find around part of the shore.
Infoferret has a few days of leave to use up and asked if I would like to accompany her on a jaunt to Napier. How could I say no???
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache giraffrey.

3 fishermen/boys were nearby trying to catch their evening meal. Good information about the local birds, my favourite is the Royal spoonbill. TFTC
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up at Napier … decided to head out & have a wander around the Westshore Wildlife Reserve … picked up this cache along the way … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,663 for us.
We are in the North Island with the main purpose of completing the PWGT Tahi section so we have been to the far north. Along the way we will pick up a few other caches that take our interest such as those with lots of favourites or size large or letterbox caches or some that will just help us to fulfil some of the various challenges we are working on. One of those challenges is to have 25 finds in every county of the country. We were short in Taranaki and in Gisborne - hence we have come here on our way home to ensure we find enough caches to fulfill that challenge in Nelson.
This cache took longer than we expected, not because the cache was hard to find but because I discovered three dumped kittens in the lavender on the corner. I rang the SPCA and sat with the kittens. I was here for over two hours while I waited for them to arrive and then they attempted to catch them. In the end I managed to catch two of them with a few scratches and bite marks to show for my effort and they left a cage there with some food in it for the third one that was just too timid to come close. But I just could not continue my holiday knowing those three wee souls were trying to fend for themselves.
We are really enjoying the places we are visiting and the knowledge we are gaining through the tour, we just wish we had more time to explore these areas further. I guess once we retire that wish will come true.
With the new souvenir challenge we need to use the app to log the finds, but as I like to waffle on and write my stories on my laptop I am writing these while back at the campervan.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

#667 What a nice day for a bike ride. Our first time on this track. Met some friends at GZ. Introduced them to the game. TFTC
House and animal sitting for Mr Porks cousin. Love coming to the Bay. Did some caches this morning along the cycle way by the airport. Then back to the house, had lunch, then hit the track again.

Was a bit wet on outside of box with a few slugs attached but inside dry.
Just where I would have hidden it. GeohoundandI acted as decoy to distract the rush hour cyclists.
Out and about in Napier for a few days so grabbing some caches while we are at it.
Quick find at GZ, TNLN SL, and left as found.
Thanks for the placement giraffrey.

With (Mr) Davidson Clan, Gap (of Fap and Gap), and Philip.Perry. This line up was stitched together last night, just in time for our 4AM departure from Rotorua… We have planned another blitz of Napier caches. This should seriously tidy our geomap…
We should have started walking the cycle trail while we were parked nearby. Instead, we drove around the perimeter looking for an easier access route - All roads were gated and locked. There was no other way for us to approach these caches besides walking… Another quick find on the end of the trail. Coincidentally, Mr DC found a key for the first gate somewhere along the track… If only!!! Thanks giraffrey and TFTC.

Nice big container found easily thanks Giaffery for bringing me to this new part of the world
I wondered why we hadnt found this last time we were here but as soon as I saw the closed sign I knew, as we came in from the other side. Well worth coming here and nicely placed cache. Thanks for bringing us here
Could not carry on as the track was barricaded due to works. A nice quick find thanks. Time to head back.
Ms_KR and I are on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland for our family Christmas. Today we cruised around Napier. Please excuse the generic logs, there have been a few finds and they get muddled up sometimes.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Mr P and I had the loveliest walk around this area - a bit longer than expected but very enjoyable. T4tc
It was this cache that lead us to a fantastic bike trail . We were doing a new adventure lab in the area which helped us discover this trail by complete accident. Lovely sized cache. We wished we had our binoculars to get a better view of the birds. Great hide.
Nice find on a beautiful day. All good at GZ. Greetings from Wellington and TFTC.
A lot of birds are hidden and we loved to observe and take pictures of them! At the same time, I can find a cache? No? What a nice walk! TFTC
Great find for the kids and got us walking on a path we don’t normally go on - thanks!
