No luck today, checked the obvious spots

I think it is gone

Wednesday. We were enjoying a lovely camping holiday at Boreen Point and thought we’d find some caches. No joy for us today though with this cache. We checked out several likely looking spots and then a car pulled up and as luck would have it, they must have been locals because they all piled out of the car and then saw us and they just stood still and watched us like hawks so we decided to leave this one.

This was the 2 of 3 DNF logs on today's trip.

I checked out a lot of forks but perhaps I’m not tall enough?

It actually took me a really long time to find that!!! Not sure if there’s been cache creep over the years, but I would call it ground level. Lucky for us today there was absolutely no one around. The coffee shop across the road has closed () so there was no hot chips or ice cream for us after signing. But always love visiting this spot. TFTC YOF

Spent ages looking for this one while the others went to go get coffee and hot chocolates. We didn’t manage to find it, but enjoyed the views and the drinks were good too!! Thanks for bringing us here.

Spending a week at the Sunshine Coast and doing a lot of Fat Bike Beach riding. In-between times there is always a cache or three to find as well.

After camping for the weekend at Elanda Point, we making our way home via a few caches. A bit hard to park with a camper behind but hubby managed to find a spot so I could log this cache. Lovely view and found cache quickly. Took me longer to re-wind the logsheet!

Staying at the campsite for a few days we were happy to see that there are quite a few caches around. So instead of swimming we started with an "orientation walk" round the peninsula hoping to find as many boxes as possible. This was the first one.
Thank you for hiding it and for the beautiful view.

We have never come up this way and decided to visit for afternoon tea. There were Australian sailing championships on the lake to add to our experience.
Park and grab, our last cache for the day and over the road for that Coffee. Still plenty of caches to come back for. A great area. All good, signed the log, added a favourite and visited trackables.

Had to eat our sandwiches right next to this spot in order to retrieve as there were muggles VERY close. Ducks came up out of the water wanting bread.

Fun, no need to climb

Trundled along here to make a quick find. Not too many muggles about. Good chance to do some texting while retrieving and signing this one so it was a bit of a juggle but did it all without dropping anything. TFTC YOF, this one is fine too.

Our first cache of the day. While waiting for the coffee shop over the road to hit us with our morning kick-starter, Wombles and co and I snuck over here to make our find with NyssaFlutterby watching on. Then it was back to the lure of the smell of caffeine before we continued on our day's escapades.

This was our first ever attempt at cache finding. Could not find it but that could be us learning!

On our way from Tin Can bay to Brisbane we stopped at Boreen Point and came down the stepps to lake Cootharaba - nearby the election was on the run.....so we logged at 10:10 a. m. mugglefree.

We are over here from Kapiti NZ escaping our winter and seeking some sunshine - we have not been disappointed. This cache was a quick find in a lovely area. We took the opportunity to have a coffee from the cafe across the road and it was very nice - just as we like it. Thanks for placing a cache here.

First name in new log. Recommend the coffee nearby

Had to come to the lake today to replace at least one log sheet so I checked on this one and the log sheet even though not full would be full in about ten more finds time. Replaced the log sheet with two more and this one is all good to go.

Found just lying on the grass in the open. Signed the log and replaced where we thought it was supposed to be?? Maybe CO needs to check this one. A very pretty little area. TFTC

Next time I have to drive down to check this one I will give very serious consideration to archiving it as it is in a very public place. As I live 2.5 hours away I might give the spot up for a local cacher to use. All good for now.

FTF new placement! It took us a while but fork, rock & NAGL is all you should need TFTC!

I needed to be in Gympie today for a meeting in relation to the Gympie 150th anniversary celebrations next year in regards to holding some events in the area. I was invited by a local cacher who was asked what geocaching could do to assist. So as I was this close to this cache and there were some new hides down here I came prepared to replace this one. Co ordinates had me about two metres out but it is being found. Facing the water find the 2metre water marker and look to your right about 3metres to the tree RHS of tree. All good to go. Similar container.

All good to go. Similar sized container and the hint is still applicable. As this area can be very muggle high at certain times and beware the people across the road appear to know about the hide please be very stealthy. I will give this one one more life then I will think about archiving it if it does not last at least three months in this spot.

I will disable this one but it will be 5 weeks till I can get up here as I am on my way to Perth WA.

Searched high and low with even granny ding looking, but despite advice from onlookers at the store, local cachers, this one not found. Confirmed no there by a previous finder, so I did not feel that bad.

Out and about having a bit of free time to explore. Will be moving nearby to Boreen Point so this will be my new home patch.. stopped by the nearby shop to get a cold drink and decided to check the gps and hey... i was parked 10m from the cache. After a quick look around the cache was in hand with the log book signed all was good and put back as found. Thanks for the cache!
