Out for a wander in some never before visited areas. Enjoying the new places we are discovering. Signed CS43 & SCAHPA to save room on the log - TFTC
This took far longer than expected. It was the first spot I looked at yet didn't see it. In the end my friend spotted it. Tftc
I haven't tried for this one before. Creek was higher. The big tree there is looking pretty unsafe! All good. TFTC.
Second time doing this series. Kids are older now and better at finding things than us oldies. TFTC The Domjahn's
Headed out on foot for a few caches today.
Decided to hit a few around Burbank by doing the Creepy Rabbit series and some others nearby.

I started the caches in this piece of bush many, many years ago, so while in the area today decided to finally finish them off…
A quick find in the logical location(kind of)… Good thing “he” was rubber because it meant he could bounce after I hurled him about 25m to remove the very real guardian…

A catch up with a friend was well and truly due. Rather than sitting and drinking coffee, I suggested we go for a bush walk while chatting. I cleverly chose an area where I had a heap of caches to get. This area would be great for a bike ride as it is all relatively flat. Our first point of entrance into the forest had us wondering if a track was evident in this bushland at all. But after a few hairy moments with some big spider webs and long grass, the track became apparent.
We got about 11 caches today and my muggle friend was quite good at spotting the goods, even though she was constantly freaked out about the thought of snakes and spiders. Well, let's just say the cache containers didn't always help with that! At first I thought this was a snake, then a turtle. Seemed I was wrong on both guesses.

After finishing fishing on the other side of the road, we had time to look for caches in this area.
A fav point for the container!

Out caching Rabbits and other caches and enjoying a day out walking ( yes walking) in the bush. I don't always ride, just most of the time.
An interesting piece indeed.

This was the fourth cache of the day. A cute find. A little tricky to open but got there. Tftc
I decided to come out this way for a walk with my geo dog Roxy to find 6 of the caches in this series. It took us just over an hour and it was a nice serene walk. At GZ i we soon spotted this apt cache. Fancy getting stranded here. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy our walkies.
Probably overthought this one! Eventually found in the obvious spot. Love the container.
We though we were in for some backtracking to get to this one after Creepy Rabbit 4, but some wallabies bound away showed that we could get across the creek. Found the cache in its hidey hole along with the initial thought that we had found something less desirable. Signed the log and put the cache back together properly. Thanks for placing this.
Today, jesswrigley and I started the day with Mansfield parkrun followed by a nearby breakfast. With a recent solo visit to Mount Gravatt lookout, we finished out the morning to see the views from there before proceeding home.
In the afternoon, we headed out to Westfield Garden City, and I then headed east to Rochedale followed by Burbank bushland to walk around the Rabbit / Creepy Rabbit series.
I spotted this cluster of "Rabbit" series earlier today, and thought it would make a good adventure and jog around. I followed the geocaches' instructions to park on Alperton Road (I ended up accessing the area near the corner of Leacroft Road), and all up, I managed to complete the series cluster in just under two hours. My only problem was leaving my walking/jogging until arriving at about 17:00 hr, and so it started to get quite dark by the end of my visit. I had brought with me limited supplies, which meant I was relying on my mobile phone's torch towards the end, and managed to just get me back to the car with finding the caches with 1% battery left! Otherwise, it was a really nice area to visit with the creek/water, and a few wallabies spotted hopping in the forest. Unfortunately, with water comes mosquitoes and cane toads, and so a few of those were spotted. The caches were largely quite creative, and all up, a recommended area to visit!
What an interesting area that this was. I was glad that the creek wasn't flowing too much today, and was low to allow my crossing to the other sides. I did my best in avoiding the thick vegetation, and eventually I arrived at GZ, where I found the cache reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. The cache name made sense once I had made the find. Unfortunately with all the water about, there were a few mosquitoes about, but I think I lost them once again on my exit back to the main track. Thanks culture50 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Out with geo friends. This took a bit of courage. Signed log and replaced as found TFTC
Early morning with GrannySmith 1947 to catch some more rabbits.
Nice find. Certainly not quick. We went to the most logical but spent too much time there. Now where else would we hide it. Ahhhh there.

Did these ages ago and forgot to post the drafts. Off to finish the rabbits off after a years break.
Cute! The cache a little hard to open (at least for my arthritic digits), but I managed to get it open eventually. All good here. Tucked up nice and safe. TFTC
Log book needs replacing. Have put in a supplementary piece of paper in the interim.
More to follow.

We were mislead by a couple of other suspect hiding spots in the area but eventually found it. Lovely cache
Well played. Was expecting it to be somewhere more obvious. TFTC. (Log is full now)
Headed off early this morning to tackle this dense little patch of caches. Lovely morning for a cache hunt.

Chamad was telling me the other day that he was wanting to try and do 50 caches in a day for the badge, so yesterday I asked if he was keen to go out and find them. We organised a time and place to start our run which was by Burbank. We wandered around a few reserves and then decided to head towards Springwood for a few Earth caches, mystery’s and trads.
All in all we had a great day out and we’re both completely exhausted.
Sorry for the generic post.

What an awesome day or should that be exhausting! Out with geonayfee to try and complete 50 plus caches in a day. With this cache we completed it.
We completed 2 series and a few target caches, a few earth caches and a couple of puzzles…. Awesome day and a lot of driving and walking but the challenge was completed, thank you for being part of our challenge, next is 80 in a day
Loved this series, a nice range of different types of caches and a surprise at each cache, thanks

Stranded alright! Poor bugger! Wandered through the bush to this one, quick find with coords spot on. TFTC!
Good one. I like caches made out of odds and ends.
I replaced the log sheet with some paper on hand.
TFTC where all is now fine.

Out with the MB to collect some finds to boost my Feb stats this morning.
Was not first to the parking but still early.
Got quite close on a good path or almost road,
Thank you for hiding this geocache

Back for another afternoon of wandering around this area to see how many caches I can find before the sun goes down...This was the 5th...Saw a few rabbits scurrying around as I bushbashed to the cache...TFTC!
We found a spot to cross the creek which was nice and dry and so we only needed to make the smallest of jumps. Soon after we did Mrs Woodyrothwell started getting an intermittent pain above her hip.
Being the kind of person who Googles the worst possible outcome from the start, she had diagnosed that her Gall Bladder had burst. I was suddenly being lectured about what the gall bladder was and what it did. I had better find this cache quick because any longer and I would have earnt a medical degree.
The pain seemed to disappear but as soon as we came out onto the trail it flared up again. It was a recurring event through the day but after some wines later on, the problem was resolved. Now that’s the kind of prescription I always want. tftc

A very clever cache. 5th find for the afternoon. Enjoying this very nice piece of bushland, even with 10 very noisy GeoGuides. TFTC
Tftc double love for this one there was a real bunny cache guardian as we came in
Cleaning up some field notes and found this unlogged -
thanks for the cache culture50 !

Collected the kids from school with the intention of collecting some caches around Alperton Road. Thankfully they go to Mackenzie Primary so it was really close. No. 5 for us on our afternoon womble in this lovely piece of bushland. We thought that this was such a cute container and the name is very apt. Thanks for placing this cache in this beautiful parkland. Fav point added.
Must have taken wrong path as grass was waist high, but eventually cleared and going was easier. cute cache guardian!TFTC
We took the opportunity with the break in the rainy weather to grab some caches today and enjoy a walk in this lovely bushland. Once we made a plan on how to complete this circuit we entered through the gate near Creepy Rabbit No6 and headed off with the hope the area was dry enough that we wouldn't be covered in leaches on our return. We were initially a bit worried as we had to walk through some water but was pleasantly surprised that the rest of the journey was reasonably dry. Loved the cache container TFTC Culture50
How cute, a little surprise it certainly can be. Log was a little damp, but ok. TFTC.
Had a little bit of a jump and a gasp when finding this one, had looked for a while and didn’t expect to find a little face watching! TFT
Thought we would collect a few caches whilst in the area on the last day of the year. Love finding these cute ones, well done.

Out today for a walk and grabbing the creepy rabbits. quick grab after a bit of bushwaking. TFTC
3rd cache on today's trail around this park with muggle friend. It gave me a bit of a fright to see the little face watching me. TFTC.
Back over to the southside with nikid1 this week for our regular geocaching Thursday.
With Nic as our navigator today (seeing as my phone didn't show any of the paths in here) we found a nice dry route to GZ & she didn't take to long to find the cache. Not what I was expecting but very cute container.

After a week of wet, time to hit the bush trails and hunt some rabbits. Having done one lap with Fangsoki today I now headed off on my own for the top half. Not a Rabbit here, but sort of in theme. But to get here from the approach I took there was a rather wet and wide creek to cross. A decent width today - but I found a decent pole nearby and was able to vault the raging(ish) torrent and land remaining dry and upright - second one of those acts today and I'm rather chuffed with myself.
Thanks for placing this cache, culture50. Found in good condition.

Spent far too long searching for this cache. Looked high and low and we were thinking we might have to orcanise another trip to get it. However it was found eventually. Thanks for the cache.
I found a easy place to ford the creek, but how slippery is that mud! I was pleased when I finished caching today the tread on my boots were mud free. It didn't take long to find the cache stranded so far from the sea. It seemed sad to gut him and extract the log. Very nicely themed cache, thanks.
Caching in the area with Selva Girls today, our mission was to clear the area. We headed toward gz, luckily choosing the right spot to cross without getting wet feet. A quick find of the very cute container at gz. Tftc culture50!
