31,616. Found with minniek and albida33 (signing either as FAM or MAF to save room and just for fun) during another great day of caching in South Australia).Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 17. Today we headed out early to get the Fruit Loop series and then to cache around Cambrai and Sedan as we thought that was enough for today after our huge day yesterday. We got to do the ferry ride at Swan Reach twice which we always enjoy Wink This was the next find of the day, and it was a quick find once at GZ. Signed, replaced, and then we headed off to the next one on the list. Thanks alex !!

Day 17 of our loop through Vic and SA then home. After our big day of finishing off the Bike wherigoes yesterday, we needed to head further afield from Loxton to find a nice number of caches. We found the fruit loops and anything around that suited us. fitzy_1965, albida33 & I signed as MAF or FAM to save room. All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###

----------

Hi there alex,

It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.

**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**

#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-

- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.

- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**

- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.

Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).

Thanks for your cooperation,

Bunjil

GT37 and I had ventured out this way as we have arrived early and have a little time before everyone arrives. We decided to attempt some of this series but probably won't get to finish it as someone keeps stopping to take more photos.
Please excuse the generic logs. We did have a great time exploring this area and searching for the caches that we managed to complete.
Thank you for all the time, money and effort that has gone into placing these caches for us to find and the continual maintenance.

Today a small group - RoddyC, Hatzoff, Snickersalken, GrannySmith1947, HansandLinda started our journey of finding caches along the On Your Bike series.
There was loads of running, laughing, dust, flys etc. Brisa5 kindly came out to help us with his7 meter ladder to do the T5's. Unfortunatley someone has been through and lowered the caches and we really could have done these caches without the ladder. A phone call to the owner and up they went to their correct position.
We found all the caches we targeted in this series plus a few odds ones near by.

Mrs Kookacrew's dad loved Pomegranate, she could not see what the appeal was. Its a nice tree if the correct one is purchased but the lumpy little seedy inside was not of a great taste.
As children Mrs k's brother and her had much better uses for these pomegranates, well while their dad wasnt around anyway. Cricket, bowls, brandy chasey to name a few, then get rid of the evidence before dad came home. Geez what turds we were haha.
We did discover one way online that might be a nice way to have pomegranate, we do love feta ....INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup pecans
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 (10 ounce) package mixed baby greens
1 pomegranate, peeled and seeds separated (see Note)
1/4 red onion, sliced thin
1 (8 ounce) package crumbled feta cheese
Dressing:
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 lemon, zested and juiced
salt and pepper to taste
Thanks alex for another cache TNLNSL

I had planned a big few days of caching in SA so I left work on a Tuesday evening and hit the road from Melbourne. This was my second full day of caching and it started out by completing the rest of the OzMega Signal series that I had made a start on yesterday. After that I did three months of the OTD series and the BMT series. This left me on 172 finds for the day and so I headed here to see if I could notch up the double century before dark. No traffic out here so I had the place to myself to search on almost all occasions. Started at number 35 and made my way in reverse order back towards number 1. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and the series alex.

12-Nov-18
After some numbers before the christmas event so today it was first the Fruit Loop series, then the OTD November series. All targeted caches were found, and, as a bonus, one that was thought to be missing, was also found.
Thanks for the cache and series alex

It's been a while since I have done any of the Fruit Loop series.....today I got to knock off a few more.

What a fabulous day out...so fabulous that we stamped 98% of the logs as "Fabulous Randoms" (the others we wrote our names).

We completed 3 OTD series, picked up the tribute series to the US iconic trails (ET Highway & Route 66) and stopped to find a number of other random caches including ones with high fav points or interesting D/Ts. Over 160 finds - it was worth the 5am start (to try and beat the heat).

Thanks so much for the cache alex! [^]

A decision about a day of caching with Goodlook was orgained in the not so distant past to clean up some caches around swan reach and murray bridge.

A successful with no DNF’s and 165 caches finds, completing 3 on this date (OTD) series and some of the fruit loop with a few trads along the way.

Majority if the log books were stamped with FABULOUS RAMDOMS and 5 or 6 we wrote our individual caching names in.

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###

----------

This cache is carrying a maintenance log which really does need to be addressed by the cache owner.

The guidelines advise that the CO should make regular visits to check on the cache as well as promptly address any logs that indicate that the cache requires some attention. You need to disable the cache if you cannot attend to it promptly - I have disabled it this time.

**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) by 4th June?**

If you cannot respond to the situation as requested, please add a note to the cache page detailing the situation **and providing an actual date when you expect the situation to be resolved.** This is to allow others to understand the what is happening - as well as - to prevent the cache from being de-listed as abandoned.

Have a read of the [**Geocache Maintenance guideline**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) which explain a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported.

I also want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing this cache up and running in the future.

**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [**Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [**Temporarily Disable and Enable**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

A rare day with no plans, no kids and a full tank of petrol so what else would we do but hit some cache trails. We rediscovered out Torago van is not a 4wd and does not like bumpy roads or loose sandy patches but we did love the wildlife, never seen so many kangaroos on the roads.

We love eating lots of different kinds of fruit, so decided to fill in some more smileys along this fruit series. The only ones which we looked for and were a bit more difficult to find, were those that we found away from the point which our GPS said was GZ.

The log was very soggy in this cache and we were only able to make an indent in the wet paper to mark our find.

Otherwise we enjoyed this series and thank alex for putting out these caches.

Out for an afternoon drive with Jack in the nice warm last day of summer!
Despite the heat, was determined to finish the fruit loop today.
Had done the other side a few months back.
Caches all found, in varying condition. Several appeared to be almost new
throw down caches, almost new sistema replacements, and unpainted mint tins.
Others were originals, with very full log books.
A couple, particularly the cemetery one, had broken lids, but were dry anyway.
A good fun series, thanks for the reason to drive out here.

Pomegranates feature in the bible and other ancient texts as a symbol of fertility,
due to the plentiful seeds inside Wink

Sorry , "Generic Log"

Out today with The SA Sewer Rats with the main plan of finding all the caches in this series. Although a number of the caches were in good condition there were many that were so badly damaged that they were difficult to log. We replaced quite a few but unfortunately we only had a limited supply of containers. There were many who's log book was totally soaked, containers broken and/or missing. One with just a log book and pencil under a rock. There were one or two interesting containers and some that had been replaced at some stage according to the previous finder. We did however enjoy the series and hope that it is repaired back to original. We found the last one with its contents scattered nearby so repaired the best we could. TFT series Alex and hope it stays active for others.

Am staying in Mannum for a few days and decided I would come and tackle the Fruit Loop series today. Big Grin I decided to start at the beginning and work my way around. Big Grin

I had fun driving on the different roads, some very sandy, some rocky and some very nice gravel. Surprised

Finding the caches was fun too, never knowing what to expect, but I was disappointed that so many of the containers were broken or filled with water and log books soaked. Sad I replaced a couple of logs, but could not do anything about the containers!! Also between 35 and 41 there had been a lot of water come through with all the rains we have had and I think a couple of those may have been washed away. [?]

All up I had 49 finds Smile with 6 DNF's. Sad

Found the container which is broken, the cache was full of water and the log was mush. Sad Couldn't sign this one but have a photo. Surprised

Thanks for the cache and series alex. Smile

Had wanted to do this series for some time so planned to do it on a long weekend and when we could get through Oakbank without too many hassles. Didn't get away quite as early as planned, but that happens. Sorry for the generic log. We usually try to write individual logs but there are just too many and often not a lot to say.
Parts of this trail were a nice drive but we do get bored with power trails. Our day was nearly spoiled with a starter motor issue but managed to continue. A lot of the caches are in need of maintenance. Thanks for the numbers Alex.

27-Mar-16
A number of caches had broken lids or containers due to brittle plastic and sun exposure.

27-Feb-16
Staying in the Mannum area and headed off to cache the surrounding areas and do some power trails. I started with the Fruit Loop trail and then the OTD August trail and then anything in between. I found a variety of different caches and this was one of them. Thanks to all the CO's for placing the caches.

Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

My apologies for the generic logs.

Completed the series today starting at #1 and working anti-clockwise. Very sandy and loose on the downhill section from Black Hill which was rather touch and go in the 2wd, pretty sure I would of got stuck if I was headed (uphill) in the other direction. Lots of kangaroos resting in the bushes along Sleeper Track (well named) which headed off in all directions as I made my way along there. A most enjoyable series and many thanks for placing, and maintaining all the caches involved.

So on a beautiful sunny winters day we headed out to Palmer and hit the OTD series there then one to doctor's owls BMT series and then to finished the rest of the Fruit Loop series. Then to cambrai to have a much need snack and drink break during which Mr Parrot Head announces that it is still early so lets hit the two OTD trails near Mt Torrens. The last cache was found after the sun had well and truly gone down. Many trees were climbed by Mr Parrot Head and lots of logs were signed.

This is a series I could relate to being a fruit and vegetable technologist all my working life (now retired). I've tried most of the fruits mentioned except for some of the more exotic tropical fruits from Indonesia.

The series took me and my magna along some interesting tracks and corrugated roads.

.Most of the caches were in good condition. I did note that number 19 had several DNF's. After a good search I took the view it was missing and replaced the cache with a film canister.

I saw some kangaroos and black kites as I drove the circuit.

The 40 degree + temperature started to get a bit uncomfortable so I decided to stop at number 37. I'll return to finish off the series when it's cooler.

Thanks for the series Alex.

The Fruit Loop has been on our "to do" list since the series was first published. After reading many of the logs, we were a little apprehensive about sections of the road and we were unsure if the challenge would be too much for a low clearance 2WD Ford Focus.

Today the Fruit Loop was our main target. We started at the middle of the northern section and worked clockwise. The first section of the road was good but the first half of the eastern section was very poor - rough, loose sand and higher road crown challenged our resolve but with care and at very reduced speed, we were able to get through. The remainder of the roads for the loop for also in reasonable to very good condition. We were lucky that there hadn't been any recent rains to make the roads slippery and boggy but we could see the potential for this to happen.

This was an easy find because the cache was out in the open, but about 2m onto private land. We retrieved the cache with a long broken branch. The cache and contents were in good condition. We then hid the cache in a often used hide very close to where our GPS indicated that GZ should be located. Thanks for the cache alex.

Have finished around Murray Bridge and left Victor Harbour this morning. Now on our way north through the hills for this series, back to the Riverlands tonight, and then east.

This loop was always on the list as we planned this trip, and we're glad it stayed there. A great PT with no traffic, simple but safe hides (except for that one in the prickle bush!) and good containers and logbooks. We'd left our run a bit late and the sun went down half way around, so we got to enjoy the sunset and complete it with head torches. Heard of most of the fruit names, but had a few there we'd never heard of. Something to look for on the next trip to the markets!

Appreciate the big effort to lay and maintain the series. Thanks alex.

When winglen and I started looking at a fourth odyssey to SA (read shameless numbers run) this series was put on the list to do. And it stayed there.

We were making our way to Monash after starting at Victor Harbour so coming to the end of a long day- sort of. We were hoping to make Monash before 8:00pm but as we started this at around 5:00pm that was always going to be tight and in the end we missed the pub meal by half an hour.

Amazingly we did not see one other car on the road in this area in the whole time we were out there.

Lots of effort has gone into the hides and we really appreciated that effort and the hides - even toward the end as we were plowing uphill in the dark....Big Grin.

Apologies for the generic logs.

Thanks for the cache [blue]alex[/blue] and the series.[/green][/center]

Found on a perfect Winters day for caching ... Sorry for generic logs. Our GPS had us out by anywhere up to 50m on some caches - Lovely part of the world! TFTC
