Heading out for the day with Cheezel1961 with his trusty steed. Targeting caches in and around Swan Reach. This being one of them.Easy find hereTFTC SL
Out with WayneAPN for the day primarily looking at the OTD series and Fruit Loop series This cache was quickly found and log stampedTFTC
Plans were made for the team to get back together to finish the on your bike series and whatever other series peaked our fancy. We organised it to happen after the Canberra Mega and travel in a convoy back to SA, safety in numbers they say. Our convoy consisted of feathertop, GoodLook, LB, Rapidlywild and us then meeting up in Mildura with The Drovers. After a big day on the trails yesterday today we finished off the remaining On your Bike series then we headed onto this NVRATHM series. Logs were all stamped with "The Mob". We had awesome weather for the journey and all caches were found in good order. After stopping in Sedan for lunch we then split off from the others. Our team now consisted of us, Rapidlywild and feathertop to go and hit the Fruit Loop series, the series is looking a little worn out but still all out there in the wild. Thanks for the hide alex and thanks for a fun adventure Rapidlywild.
Plans have been in place for a little while now about a convoy from the Canberra Mega to head over to SA and finish off what currently stands of the On Your Bike series. Today being day 3 of the trip away, todays convoy consisted of GoodLook, TheDame, feathertop, LB, The Drovers, FurfacesLL and myself. With a big hit on the On Your Bike caches yesterday, we set off this morning to hit the remaining On Your Bike caches and then we headed over to the NVRATHM series. All logs have been stamped with "The Mob" stamp representing the 7 teams who started the series together, so finished it together.NVRATHM series completed, so we made our way into Sedan for some lunch. Headed off to do the Fruit Loop series with feathertop, FFLL and myself. This series has been around for a while, and could really do with some CO love. Many containers broken or logs ruined. We placed a few new logs out along the way. Thanks for the cache placement and maintenance alex and thanks FurfacesLL for another fun trip away
After finishing our Sedan lunch aour team of the mob split up. Three of us wanted the Fruit Loop series. The small team consisting of Rapidlywild, FurfacesLL and myself. This is an old series and many of the containers are showing their age, especially the brittle sistems that crumble to the touch. It could really use a decent maintenance run. We replaced 2 logs. Not too hard to find the remaining 50 caches in the series and it is nice to turn them into smilies after passing this way so many times over the years.Roads bone dry but cool ideal caching weather.Logs stamped as The MobThank you so much for the series!
Headed down to the Towitta - Sedan area for a couple days caching. Day 2 started doing the Fruit Loop series, until continualness heavy rain come down. Slowly headed back along Murraylands Road to nearly Morgan before it stopped raining. There were many section of the road under water. All caches were in good condition unless mention in log. TFTCFound fairly quickly.
I have had my eye on this trail for several years but being a little bit out of the way, I have always put it in the Do Later basket. Today with fine weather, I decided it shall wait no longer. I have a 2WD car, so I was taking it pretty easy on the old girl over the ruts and rocky bits. Buying a 4WD is also on my Do Later basket too!The trail itself was quite enjoyable. I enjoy driving the roads less traveled. All caches found except 2. I did replace one cache that a previous finder logged a DNF. Some of the containers were damaged and some logbooks are getting pretty full. But a very enjoyable time was spent in the bush. Thanks for the cache alex.# # #13571 # #
Day 17 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.
After our big day of finishing off the Bike wherigoes yesterday, we needed to head further afield from Loxton to find a nice number of caches. We found the fruit loops and anything around that suited us. fitzy_1965, albida33 & I signed as MAF or FAM to save room.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 17. Today we headed out early to get the Fruit Loop series and then to cache around Cambrai and Sedan as we thought that was enough for today after our huge day yesterday. We got to do the ferry ride at Swan Reach twice which we always enjoy This was the next find of the day, and it was a quick find once at GZ. Signed, replaced, and then we headed off to the next one on the list.
Thanks alex !!

GT37 and I had ventured out this way as we have arrived early and have a little time before everyone arrives. We decided to attempt some of this series but probably won't get to finish it as someone keeps stopping to take more photos.
Please excuse the generic logs. We did have a great time exploring this area and searching for the caches that we managed to complete.
Thank you for all the time, money and effort that has gone into placing these caches for us to find and the continual maintenance.

Today a small group - RoddyC, Hatzoff, Snickersalken, GrannySmith1947, HansandLinda started our journey of finding caches along the On Your Bike series.
There was loads of running, laughing, dust, flys etc. Brisa5 kindly came out to help us with his7 meter ladder to do the T5's. Unfortunatley someone has been through and lowered the caches and we really could have done these caches without the ladder. A phone call to the owner and up they went to their correct position.
We found all the caches we targeted in this series plus a few odds ones near by.

Day 394 ( Saturday 26th ) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Sedan today. A total of 40 for the day and 7091 the trip. A grand total of 17,059 caches. TFTC
When the Riverland was trying to diversify its crops a lot of people pulled their Valencias and put in mandarins, there are a few varieties that were preferred but they all tasted good to us.
Gee that takes us back thinking about lunch box fillers, yep these days mandarins would still cut it in the lunch box, with so many health campaigns the days of mum being able to bake a cake and put in a piece each for you and your best friend to have for recess are over. In fact some kids got better friends depending on the quality of their mothers cooking skills haha.
Mandarins were another citrus we had scattered through the orange block but we always kept them for us and the family and friends.
Thanks alex for the series. TNLNSL

After chasing an FTF nearby I was on a target to get 15 caches for the day. With the remains of this trail near by to be completed I set out doing it. 3/4 of the way through a serve roll of the ankle and stood at GZ for quite some time. In the end due to the pain it was time to call it a day. I’ll be back to complete the last few another day.

Thanks Alex for this cache and the series, great fun on a chilly winters day. I had plenty of these along for the trip today
Another glorious autumn day waiting around for our camper to be fixed. We spied this fruity delight and decided it was just the right thing for us today. Lunchbox favorite. Tftc
I had planned a big few days of caching in SA so I left work on a Tuesday evening and hit the road from Melbourne. This was my second full day of caching and it started out by completing the rest of the OzMega Signal series that I had made a start on yesterday. After that I did three months of the OTD series and the BMT series. This left me on 172 finds for the day and so I headed here to see if I could notch up the double century before dark. No traffic out here so I had the place to myself to search on almost all occasions. Started at number 35 and made my way in reverse order back towards number 1. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and the series alex.
After some numbers before the christmas event so today it was first the Fruit Loop series, then the OTD November series. All targeted caches were found, and, as a bonus, one that was thought to be missing, was also found.
Left a new container here.

Despite action by a good Samaritan, it would seem the cache owner is either unwilling or unable to maintain this cache.
Apart from physically looking after a cache, cache maintenance also covers keeping the cache page up-to-date. This includes updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing needs maintenance attributes and enabling the listing.
As advised in the Guidelines;
>Cache owners who do not maintain their existing caches in a timely manner may temporarily or permanently lose the right to list new caches on Geocaching.com.
This applies to maintenance of the cache page just as much as it does the physical cache.
By rights the cache should be de-listed (Archived), however, I am cognizant of the information provided by sir_spectre and the log by the CO on Jun/04/2018 . As a result, on this occasion I have assisted the CO by enabling the cache and removing the NM attribute.
###Please remember that failure to keep the cache page up to date (as well as maintain the physical cache) can result in the cache being de-listed.###

So back on the trail after doing some of the August OTD series TFTC! Lots of fruits I have never heard of, great loop wish I was walking not driving
there is a cache there to be found. The cache is heading in the direction of being brittle but currently fine. We found no water in side the cache and the log has dried out and is usable. I personally think the cacher didn't clip the lid back on properly and that's how the water got in. I can't see any reason why this cache is needed to be disabled. It's one of the better condition caches in this series that the co hasn't replaced yet. ( he has started ).
out with rod81w and allister w to get all the hidden creatures souvenirs in one calendar day ( 100 caches ) and also get all 7 container types in one calendar day. we got 147 caches found and 1 dnf.

This cache is carrying a maintenance log which really does need to be addressed by the cache owner.

**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) by 4th June?**
If you cannot respond to the situation as requested, please add a note to the cache page detailing the situation **and providing an actual date when you expect the situation to be resolved.** This is to allow others to understand the what is happening - as well as - to prevent the cache from being de-listed as abandoned.

A rare day with no plans, no kids and a full tank of petrol so what else would we do but hit some cache trails. We rediscovered out Torago van is not a 4wd and does not like bumpy roads or loose sandy patches but we did love the wildlife, never seen so many kangaroos on the roads.

We love eating lots of different kinds of fruit, so decided to fill in some more smileys along this fruit series. The only ones which we looked for and were a bit more difficult to find, were those that we found away from the point which our GPS said was GZ. Otherwise we enjoyed this series and thank alex for putting out these caches.
The cache was found with water in it, which was drained out as much as possible,
but the log was just soggy pulp which could not be signed. The lids is broken and this also needs to be replaced.

Sorry , "Generic Log"
Out today with The SA Sewer Rats with the main plan of finding all the caches in this series. Although a number of the caches were in good condition there were many that were so badly damaged that they were difficult to log. We replaced quite a few but unfortunately we only had a limited supply of containers. There were many who's log book was totally soaked, containers broken and/or missing. One with just a log book and pencil under a rock. There were one or two interesting containers and some that had been replaced at some stage according to the previous finder. We did however enjoy the series and hope that it is repaired back to original. We found the last one with its contents scattered nearby so repaired the best we could. TFT series Alex and hope it stays active for others.

Am staying in Mannum for a few days and decided I would come and tackle the Fruit Loop series today. I decided to start at the beginning and work my way around.
I had fun driving on the different roads, some very sandy, some rocky and some very nice gravel.
Finding the caches was fun too, never knowing what to expect, but I was disappointed that so many of the containers were broken or filled with water and log books soaked. I replaced a couple of logs, but could not do anything about the containers!! Also between 35 and 41 there had been a lot of water come through with all the rains we have had and I think a couple of those may have been washed away. [?]
All up I had 49 finds with 6 DNF's.
Thanks for the cache and series alex.

Had wanted to do this series for some time so planned to do it on a long weekend and when we could get through Oakbank without too many hassles. Didn't get away quite as early as planned, but that happens. Sorry for the generic log. We usually try to write individual logs but there are just too many and often not a lot to say.
Parts of this trail were a nice drive but we do get bored with power trails. Our day was nearly spoiled with a starter motor issue but managed to continue. A lot of the caches are in need of maintenance. Thanks for the numbers Alex.

Staying in the Mannum area and headed off to cache the surrounding areas and do some power trails. I started with the Fruit Loop trail and then the OTD August trail and then anything in between. I found a variety of different caches and this was one of them. Thanks to all the CO's for placing the caches.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Completed the series today starting at #1 and working anti-clockwise. Very sandy and loose on the downhill section from Black Hill which was rather touch and go in the 2wd, pretty sure I would of got stuck if I was headed (uphill) in the other direction. Lots of kangaroos resting in the bushes along Sleeper Track (well named) which headed off in all directions as I made my way along there. A most enjoyable series and many thanks for placing, and maintaining all the caches involved.
What better way to blow out Christmas than to spend a lovely day caching? The plan was to tackle "Fruit Loop" and a few others in that area.

Day 3 of my Victorian SA Invasion. I headed out to finish the Fruit Loops series I started yesterday afternoon, starting at about 10:30am, I was finished by midday. On my way to 7,000 finds, I enjoyed this part of the state. Some of these caches were harder than others, plenty of animals on the way too - Kangaroos, cows, sheep, even some goats and alpacas! Thanks again, for the cache, and the series alex.

Out for a weekend of caching and camping, with our sights set on collecting the whole Fruit Loop Trail :c) The weather was perfect, not too hot, luckily keeping the snakes away. This is such a nice country drive, giving us the oppurtunity to get away from the urban caches and stumble across beautiful areas off the main road. Thanks for placing this trail alex :c) TFTC!!
Found on the way home from Loxton (lovely relaxing weekend with nice weather)

Alex : Thanks for bringing us here, this is such a lovely drive. I was not expecting such spectacular scenery and lovely old gums.
PS we made Mandarin and Vodka slushies in the USA recently with left over Mandarins, highly reccommended.

Found after a fantastic weekend in Loxton, after a BBQ and Kayak on Sunday and Breakfast with the Moneydorks in the morning on Monday, we decided to find a few of these on the way home. Managed to look for 37 and found 35. Not a bad ratio. Loved the series so far Alex, with a reak mixture of hides, not sure I was happy about climbing the hill for one of them in the heat today, but well, well worth the effort We'll be back to finish them off.
TFTS Alex,

Another fruit loop cache ticked off.
TFTC.
A curious farmer pulled us up. Seems we have been spotted driving slowly and pulling over a few times in the area.
Not sure he understood our explanation but he was friendly enough and wished us well.
