#6646.Our GPS went a bit haywire on this one and we ended up searching in completely the wrong spot. After reassessing and looking at the GPS again, we made the adjustment and found the cache pretty quickly. We were surprised by a massive ant nest around the cache. We carefully extracted the container and completed the admin. There were so many ants in the hole, that we could not replace the container, so we placed the container at the base of the stump and covered it well with rocks. I hope the CO doesn't mind. TFTC!

Reperio 10:13Day 3 of our Wagga Wagga trip, and Master Vitruvius and I started the day out with a FTF, followed by a drive out to Uranquinty and The Rock. Mostly every cache was found in good condition, and for the third day in a row, had a fantastic day out caching. With rain this week, the track into GZ was flooded, and so we parked nearby and walked the short distance to find the cache in a good spot.Gratias baby&Mrs gopherAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV

Staying at Henty Showgrounds and came up here looking at doing the caches on Noskes/Braithwaites Lane, however we were stopped by a large fallen tree from the South and a couple of washouts from the North. Will need to revisit after it all dries out.

We looked around The Rock and managed to grab the Lab caches and a few trads. Will need to come back tomorrow to finish off the others along Bullenbong Road. A reasonably sucsessful day with only a couple of DNF's.

One of the last ones for today. Straightforward find on our way back from Yerong Creek to camp.

Today we moved from Wagga to The Rock. Not far, but to a great camp at the Rec Reserve and an area with quite a number of caches. We were here reasonably early do dropped off the van and began the day touring with geocaches as our guide. The 2 Adventure Labs in town were our starting point, one a reflective trip down the Main Street and the other a mixture of historical sites and places of interest.

Couldn’t resist a coffee and cake at the local cafe before heading out of town again. Good home-baked apple slice, and good coffee couple with a chat to a number of the locals.

We got to the town ‘drop-bear’ and there met baby&Mrs gopher a lovely couple of local cachers and had a chat. Baby’s advice was well received so we headed out on the bMg trail after going to The Rock reserve. We completed all the trail with only one DNF. Some great containers and a variety of hides and varying difficulty. Not just your regular power trail.

Throughout the day we collected traditional, multis, a letterbox and an Earthcache.

Thank you so much to the local cachers for your efforts, it is much appreciated.

Found on a trip around central New South Wales with e.gregory1. Our original plans were to travel through Bourke, Cunamulla and Toowoomba to attend the Dayboro event in Queensland and return via Port Macquarie and central NSW, but a series of events that included road closures due to flooding in southern inland Queensland, a covid outbreak in Brisbane and widespread storm damage and road closures along the north coast of NSW resulted in multiple changes of plans during the trip. As it eventuated our travels took us to central New South Wales, on a route from Broken Hill to Cobar, Nyngan, and Gunnedah from where we meandered southwards through some great scenery and historic towns that included Dunedoo, Wellington, Cowra and Yass. We then headed in a roughly westerly direction through to Temora, Wagga Wagga, Deniliquin and Swan Hill before making a final dash for home. All up we found a good mix of Traditionals, Puzzle Caches, Multicaches, Adventure Labs, Wherigos, Earthcaches, Letterbox Hybrids and Virtual Caches on a very entertaining and enjoyable trip. Thanks for the cache baby&Mrs gopher!

07-Apr-21
Found on a trip around inland NSW with FeatherWaite.

Our original intention was to attend the Mega event at Dayboro in Queensland, travelling up via Broken Hill, Bourke, Cunamulla and Toowoomba, then home via the NSW coast to Port Macquarie then on to Adelaide via central NSW. However, the Covid outbreak in Brisbane forced us to reconsider, particularly given that the Mega and associated events were within the area of concern and we may have had difficulty re-entering NSW to get home and then would have had to quarantine back in SA for 14 days.

The floods in the north and east of NSW also hampered our travel plans. But we were able to develop a new plan that took us on a very pleasant tour around country NSW, picking up some interesting caches along the way.

Thanks baby&Mrs gopher for the cache.

Headed to The Rock this weekend to tackle Kengal with Albida33, nibletricecakes & GLISS! Unfortunately fitzy_1965 was sick so didn't make the trip up to the top.

With a bit of time up my sleeve before meeting the others, I did a bit of caching around town.

A weekend away with the gang from Canberra. We did many together, but a few separately too. The whole team consisted of Joolay, Kittykatch, Strangetrousers, MTrax, TikvaNZ, Barb2e, Smittengranny, cosmonaut97, Aquilus1 & Tankengine. We had an awesome time away caching in Wagga Wagga and the surrounding areas and catching up with the local cachers Baby&Mrs Gopher. Thanks everyone for a fabulous time.

This cache: After a lovely dinner, we were heading back to the motel and as this was so close Tankengine wanted to right a wrong here so we popped by and collected this one. Straight forward find. Tftc baby&Mrs gopher!!!

A weekend trip to Wagga and The Rock with dty73, Tankengine, Kitty Katch, Joolay, Mtrax, Strange Trousers, Barb2e, Smittengranny, TikvaNZ and cosmonaut97. The plan was for 'Kengal' and then a number of caches to suit all along. Many of the caches were completed all together and others into smaller groups as our directions took us but an enjoyable weekend away with a great group. Thanks for your cache that helped lead to a fun weekend.

After a lovely evening and dinner at the rock we came by here to avenge a previous dnf. After a fun little road in the dark the cache was soon found.

#6279 26th for today

Day 1 of the Kengal Trip.

KK had talked about the "Kengal Trip" for some time and it actually happened this weekend. The plan was to visit Wagga Wagga, The Rock and drop in for Baby & Mrs Gopher 50th wedding celebration. I'm we managed to achieve all that and a lot more, hopefully without contracting or spreading the current pestilence. The weather east of Wagga was pretty bad this weekend, so this was definitely the place to be for caching. On Saturday we met at Kengal car-park at 11:30 for our missing to reach the top of "The Rock". I was a bit surprised how steep the trail was, but we all managed to reach the top, grab the cache, pics, gasp for air etc. Following a jelly-legged return, we grabbed the nearby Flintstone's themed caches before heading off to Barry & Anne's for a BBQ and celebration.

Some caches signed with "Capital Crunchers" or some variation of that where the group was present. The team was: Kittykatch, Joolay, barb2e, Smittengranny, Cosmonaught, Tankengine, Aquilus, dty, mtrax, TikvaNZ and myself.

Not much power in the water today.

Thanks baby&Mrs gopher

This weekend we (dty73, Aquilus1, Kitty Katch, Joolay, Mtrax, Strange Trousers, Barb2e, Smittengranny, TikvaNZ and cosmonaut97) came to invade Wagga and The Rock! We when to several caches together, but also split into smaller groups to chase individual pursuits! Although a little light rain crept in on Sunday, all in all, the weather was fine, and we had a great time!

I am happy I avenged my previous DNF here! Thanks for the company at this cache dty73 and Aquilus1.

The family and l are out for a drive today, trying to escape the boredom of Covid-19 isolation. Don't see the problem of driving out in the country, keeping to ourselves, keeping our distance. Wearing prophylactic gloves handling the caches, and sanitising hands inbetween.
Hopefully putting smiley faces on my pre determined list of caches, gratefully provided by, baby & Mrs gopher, Simber15, wazza9, scotty12345 and Roostaman. Thanks to you all for providing and maintaining these caches for us to hunt and enjoy. The only thing l won't be enjoying is not having my partner OZREG here caching with me and signing the logs as Team OZCAT. I will only add to this generic log if there is indeed something to add. Thanks again to you all, and stay safe and well. Cache responsibly

There is a caching event today, well why not make a full caching day out of it with a bit of shopping included. Big Grin I started the day by telling work that I wasn’t available at all and then I decided on where I wanted to cache. Well seeing how I have found the caches North, South and Central areas around ‘The Rock’, I decided on heading East this time and finding some of the historic caches around Livingstone National Park. TB visit on all found caches today. I would like to thank all CO’s for the caches I found and for the fun I had while finding them. Big Grin
Today’s totals:
Big Grin 17 Finds (1 Event, 14 GC and 2 GCA)
Sad 1 DNF

Quickly found this cache for my first cache of the day but the cache has now become an ants nest. This lead me to finding a stick to get it out of the hiding spot. TFTC

09-Nov-18
There was ants crawling everywhere as soon as I lifted the rock. I wasn’t going to even try and get the geocache out because I thought they would bite me but luckily with some help from my friend, he successfully got the container out, without getting bitten! It was tempting to move the container but I thought I’d better not so we put it back where all the ants were.

04-Nov-18
Removed the rock and out spilled many black ants! Using a little innovation the container was retrieved with care. The ants had successfully built their home around the container and were most distressed at us removing it. We hasten to add that no ants were hurt as we SL at 5pm. Replaced the container as found, but future finders may need to take care when removing the container from the stump. #5768 TFTC baby&Mrs gopher

Today we headed out from Wagga Wagga and picked up some caches along the way as we were on our way to camp at The Rock for a couple of days. This was one of the caches we found and was a nice quick and easy find, as the co-ordinates are spot on. The camo also indicated the hiding place and was recognisable from a distance. Duties were soon done and all was replaced as found before we headed off again, Thanks to baby&Mrs gopher for another cache in the area.

Some great caching around Wagga this early morning to end up in the Rock for my special celebration cache for nr 11000. Where has time gone? Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of caches around. Last time I was here I was a bit dissapointed by dnf's and terrible containers, but today it was so much better. Thanks to all the CO's for the placing and maintenance of the caches. Sure going to come back here soon.

What a Day, spending a family day out & about Geocaching with [@LilDonnasAdventure](http://coord.info/PRRDT3H) . We left home a little after 9am. We made our trek towards the end of a nearby trail then it would be on to also do some local caches.

Find 24 of 36 Caches for the day. Found @ 1:25pm.
Well, this geocacher was less then impressed with the navigator when she sent the brand new Geomobile down some tracks I didn't much like nor was sure I wanted to take the shiny New baby on, but we didn't scratch it and we found Gold so that's a Plus.

Was nice views around the area and we did manage to find the hidden treasure shown on the map.

Hi there baby&Mrs gopher.

We found your cache **"Power of Water"** today. (This makes our find count 18036).

Today we headed down from Wagga to The Rock so we could attempt the "bMG"series - but we also had to find this one. As it's not part of the series it deserves a finely crafted log, not one of the crappy cut-n-paste ones that usually are associated with power trails.

We took some biscuits out of the cache and cleaned iot the crumbs. This will help stop the "tree animals" from chewing on the container.

We found 20 caches today & DNF'd 0. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Food.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

It was asked that we change the container from a glass jar to something more suitable. The tree animals all seem to like chewing on plastic out here but the container is once again a Plastic Jar. We have used eucalyptus oil to hopefully make the container last longer.

A trip was planned for last weekend but the weather spoiled those plans, re-scheduled for today and what a lovely day it turned out to be. Not too hot, not too cold, just right for some monkeying around. Headed out just after 6.30am and returned around 12.30am collecting just over 60 caches on the trip more than originally planned. The touring party consisted of Boot65, Loci612, Rapidlywild and myself with all logs through the day being signed as B.F.L.R.

This one was made a little more interesting due to "Lee" the GPS that seem to think we were on a road that didn't really exist. Soon corrected and on the right track. Took a little bit of a search before eventually coming up with the goods.

Thanks for the cache baby&Mrs gopher and thanks for a great day out Boot65, Loci612 and Rapidlywild.

Looks like a possum has been scratching further up the tree! As the cache was quite buried under some dirt despite it not being found too long ago, our guess was that it came from above and have fallen ontop of the cache.

We signed as B.F.L.R (Boot65, FurfacesLL, Loci612, Rapidlywild) to save space in the log.

Thanks!

A group of us in the ACT had been planning a Walla Walla trip to tackle the 4.5T series of caches for a little while now, we locked in last Saturday however weather and news was reporting "significant" rains so we postponed to this Saturday. After heading off nice and early, the four of us (Boot65, FurfacesLL #1, Loci612 and myself) set off for our long day of adventures. We had 9 caches in our initial target, came home with just over 60 finds after 17+ hours out and about. It was an amazing day challenging ourselves in many ways and hitting some awesome fun 4wd tracks under moonlight Big Grin We signed all caches today as B.F.L.R. to save room in the logs. Picked up 3 D/T's for me and FurfacesLL claimed their 25,000th find Big Grin Congrats ladies.

*End Predefined Log Starter for Saturday 27th May 2017*

**This Cache:** Another one we had fun getting into thanks to the GPSr... um no Mr Navigator, that is NOT a road hahaha. Once we found the right road, it was a breeze, cache didnt take too long to locate, signed and replaced.

Thanks to Boot65 for being our chauffeur today in the new 4wd beast, was super fun Big Grin thanks also Loci and FFLL for the great day out and thanks for the cache of course baby&Mrs gopher Cool[^]Big Grin

We've had to work hard for some caches this weekend, with a lot of water to negotiate either on foot or in the vehicle. This took a bit of winding around until we found the right street, to get in there only to find our way blocked by two fallen trees and large puddles. So we walked the last 200m, picking our way around more large puddles, around the trees, through the muddy parts and finally a find! Thanks baby&Mrs gopher.

Loaded the deadly treadlies up and joined BettyBoo3747 for a trip up to The Rock.
Rode the bMg trail, and few other caches in town.

I have been here before, but the cache was disabled then. I have returned, fortunately in the dry.
I do notice that this is still marked as the though road on my GPSr Smile
We were very glad we didn't try and drive down it.

Nice easy drive-by. Lots of ruts. Starting to become a theme in our travels!

Thanks.

I went to see the Henty Field Days with Mr_Roo, and do some caching. We didn't get to a lot of caching but we really enjoyed those we did find. Lovely area, great caches all! Thanks, baby&Mrs gopher!

What a great spot! Tftc

Wasn't too bad to find, but driving in was a little hard with the damage to the track/road (washed out/sludgy)

Great cache!
