Logs
Given its been almost 2 years since the last find I wasnt too confident on this one but in the end its in great condition and retrieved the resident TB to move on. Took about 10 minutes or so of hunting before we realised from previous logs that we needed to be looking for something even more hiddenwhat a great hide and as long term practitioners of the theme of this puzzle cache, great to find with Mrs LegoLads. A definite FP from us.
Dan was OCW The Crow today. This was our last one for the day . After a very successful day and a quick find at our last T4 cache, we were perhaps overconfident. We started by talking to the barking dogs for awhile, then they walked away and shutup. We circled around GZ and widened our search but could knot find the cache. With the rains this year, things were getting overgrown. In desperation we pushed through a patch of lantana and suddenly obtained visual contact with a very likely location. It is amazing to think that we were so close, yet GZ was well hidden in that heavily shaded location. TFTC and the puzzle Sat down and The Neighbs
Big Bad left out the part where we phoned a previous finder and dependable friend. They said, "I don't remember that cache." Next finders might want to bring a whipper snipper, or wear heavy leathers, or both. Glad to say we got there in the end though. TFTC.
On a caching run in the Shire today with the aim of collecting some nearby adventure labs and caches in the area to fill in some gaps we still have for the Sutherland Shire Cachers’ Challenge. Walked to GZ and preceeded to search...rustling the dogs in the process. After about 15 minutes of circle work in the most obvious location on display...we gave up and worked our way downhill and found another structure that is extremely well hidden. On inspection found the cache straight away. Signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in excellent condition. Thanks for the cache.

I was itching solve this one, luckily I stumbled on the key to solving this puzzle. I attempted this on what was a hot afternoon, but the clouds were coming over and rain looked likely. Upon arrival at gz I checked the most obvious spot before it started pouring with rain out of no where. I took cover under a tree but it was too heavy, so I ran back to the car and left defeated. Here I am 2 days later I decided to swing in after work in what was a rather quick find. I went the shortcut so I didn’t have to hear the dogs barking this time! Dropped off a travel bug tftc!
A quick solve on this puzzle many months ago but I just sat on the coords. In the area today so time to go for it.
Once at GZ we focussed on the obvious before shifting further downhill for a quick find of a great sized cache

OCW the Bebes. We searched at the slightly wrong wood at first then spread out a bit to look and voila. Tftc
Solved but Knot too sure where the cache was
Local dogs were not impressed either
Will be back

I solved this puzzle during the week, when I was recording my result I found that I had already previously solved it hahaha
Out caching today with seaker200 and mizmaz we stopped in here to search for this cache, after a few minutes searching here and there we soon had CIH...Oh yeah!!
Mizmaz was extra stoked to pick up some forgotten time here too.
Nice puzzle and a cool hide, 12/10
Thanks Sat down and The Neighbs for the cache

Spur of the moment day out for myself, Bonfire and seaker had us heading to a concentrated area with a powertrail but after that was cut short (due to a police directive to move along), we headed on to this puzzle BF also had on the list. Access to GZ wasn’t as bad as I was expecting (compared to some recent days out we’ve had around this bushy area) and with encouraging cheers, we soon had cache in hand and I got to claim 486 days of unfound time. Yee-hay!
My humblest apologies regarding the Maintenance Needed log. I made an error and logged the wrong cache. Sorry and Thanks for bringing it to my attention CO.
Needs Maintenance. Cache disabled for 4 months. This cache hasn't been found in quite some time and cachers say they are unable to locate it.
Went out of my way to check on this one today. Cache was in place just as it always was. The area is a lot more overgrown than when we placed it. If you cannot find it, maybe expand your search a little lower down the hill. Cheers and good luck
Sorry been really busy. Have recently moved house. Will check on this within the next fortnight

1st of 2 DNFs (& 4 finds) today - Bankstown, Barden Ridge , Sutherland, Gymea, Croydon Park
Decided to head south today - tried to get 5, but a couple of tricky DNFs spoiled the party.
This was one of those DNFs. I came here after getting "B for Bankstown", on the way down here. I'd solved this puzzle a few weeks ago, so it was high time I came here to complete it.
I found my way from the nearest parking, down to the edge of bush, where there were a couple of natural features worth checking out. A bunch of neighbourhood dogs had spotted me on the way down and were barking their heads off.
After searching the most obvious feature, but finding nothing, I checked past logs. Many mentioned the dogs, so I was more confident this was the right place. I called a couple of PAFs. The one that answered also confirmed I was in the right place, but I had to look harder.
I went for another sweep, trying every hidey hole that could fit a regular, and removing leaf litter. Still nothing. Looks like luck is "knot" on my side today. Will put this on watch - I'm not coming back til I see evidence of another find - or a CO cache check? On to "aussie rd reserve walk" next...

#860 rather than what alnic39 put I actual did the mental work, I was never any good at industrial arts at school. It took a little while to work out what I needed to do & I soon had valid co-ordinates. I came down on Monday but at that stage didn't feel comfortable walking on the loose leaves after rupturing my ACL 3 weeks earlier so gave it a miss. Al wanted to come down here suggested that we should go after this one. After about 10 minutes searching Al came up with the cache. Sat down near where I was to sign the log. Replaced as found ready for the next cachers. Thanks for the puzzle Sat down

Phlphotos had done the metal work on this one, (which was a bummer, as I am a Scrabble tragic), but I made the find. I like that the hint has a bit of a cryptic twist to it. TFTC.

**OCW Brewmaker, we both had worked this one out a while ago, and today was the day. Walked down to GZ, puppies were quiet, until another dog walked past them. Found a GREAT looking container, and a wonderful log book. Another great Cache from the one & only SatDown**

OCW SMS, and #6 for the day. We had both solved the puzzle independently some time back and today was a good chance to find it. We were concerned about the dogs from the other logs, so we approached cautiously. No barking chorus, until someone walking there dog came by, but we were out of sight and found the "knot" without much trouble. Yes - I too have seen that somewhere before! Did the signing duties, and then I recorded SMS doing his daily 22 pushups for 22 days challenge. Doing 12 was enough for me!
TFTC. A very good puzzle. I like playing that game. Said hi to the dogs on our way out. #640

Came with EDF at dusk. Were greeted by the dogs, found the very suspicious but ultimately wrong hiding spot at GZ. After reading the logs, we widened our cordon out quite a fair distance, but in the end had to concede.
But then again, both of us are renowned as hopeless finders

It was a beautiful Anzac Day afternoon, perfect for a caching trip down Sutherland shire way with Chudles. Trips with Chudles are almost certain to find high terrain caches, and I ended up with a couple of new DT combinations. Overall a great day to be out and amongst it....
Solved the puzzle in the car waiting out dusk. There was such a racket at GZ from the dogs it must have been interfering with our visual spectrum!

Solved the puzzle relatively quickly. The coords were spot on. The local muggle dogs were quite vocal to the geodog. The clue want much help although the the cache was quickly found. TFTC.
Despite having solved the puzzle ages ago, I never managed to get in this area. But today we were around and I got it. Of course I fell for the same problem every other finder did, but I can tell you that the cache is in a great shape. TFTC!
The puzzle seemed to be oozing with hints, but did they mean what I thought?
Today PPE & I dropped in and started searching the likely place, without success. Did we have it all wrong? Then PPE spotted the other likely place and our luck changed.
Thanks Sat down..

Another target on the Baktrak / PPE Sutherland shire puzzle blitz today.
The dogs were barking and we had a human audience for a while whilst we searched in vain at the obvious spot. I took the higher ground and spotted an alternative site, which quickly yielded the prize.

This was quite clever. I sat staring at Twelve and its cryptic clue for a long time last night until something in a past log kept bugging me and then the doh moment occurred where I slap myself on the forehead. Its amazing how blind one can be. Armed with the new knowledge I knew exactly where to look to come up with a set of coords and sure enough, every thing worked perfectly. Headed to GZ this morning after parkrun, and after the mention of barking dogs in most logs I decided on approaching from the shorter route which does not take you right behind all those houses. Not a peep was heard from any dogs. I arrived in stealth mode and left the same way. not a sound to be heard the entire time I was at GZ. I hunted about the most obvious spot and then the not so obvious and still came up with nothing. I changed tact and found something that looked more promising something I hadnt seen from my previous location. Where oh where can you be hiding? Nothing.... until I made my aquaintance a little more up close and personal, only then did I spy the well camoed container. Nicely done. Thanks for the fun hunt.
looked at this for ages and was completely stumped, a previous finder gave me a subtle hint and then it was so obvious, it had been in front of me the entire time. spent a few minutes looking in the wrong place and making friends with spiders then widen my search, i was about to give up as the local dogs were going insane but i noticed something out of place a quick investigation revealed the cache. TFTC
I had worked this one out a few weeks ago and decided today was the day. Slipped stealthily from the car and towards GZ. I though I may have been in the wrong place as there was silence. After a bit of hunting around the noise started so I knew I was close. I was stumped at first but I widened my area of operation and spotted it. Reminded me of something I had seen before , Dropped a TB and visited two. TN Left a small peg, spider and a craft item. TFTC Sat Down.
I knew I had solved it correctly when the dogs started barking as I neared GZ. I looked and looked & they barked & barked. In deference to the neighbours who were also wondering what the racket was about, I decided to retreat. I might seek out some help with this one as I think it had me unnecessarily stumped. Next time Cheers Sat Down
Nice puzzle and good GZ. Although I was looking at the wrong, but very atractive GZ for way to long, before extending my search and quickly discovering a few more likely spot! In the end came up with a nice find (was determined not to log a dnf on a regular cache!!)

On a day that the Local geocaches deleted themselves from my gps, at least i still had this waypoint stored.
A fun yet simple puzzle that make the dogs howl.

I was looking at the Happily Ever After caches I needed down this way the other night when I spotted this puzzle. Didn't take too long to work out unlike another one on the north side where they play by different rules! As I was in the area today chasing Dopey I dropped by this one on the way. I was faced with the direct route bushbash which didn't look too doable but then I backtracked a little and found the 'highway' behind the houses. Found a likely spot but was scratching my head until my TAF informed me "similar but a little off those coords" and I found myself not far away but still a bit puzzled until the penny dropped, or rose in this case.
Signed the log and took a TB. It must have been the dogs' day off as I didn't hear a whimper while I was there.
Thanks!

While on my way to Heathcote, I stopped again to try for this. Same parking spot, same track down to GZ and same dogs barking the while time. I search a likely spot and then PAF, who told me that the cords were a little off. Finally made the find. SL, TNLN and replaced quickly to leave quickly. Cool, simple puzzle Sat down, TFTC.

Solved fast. Came past today and found the welcoming dog barking party! Searched for 20min, before I got sick of the dogs and after a failed attempt at a PAF. Next time.
I solved this soon after this came out.
But I was not in the area until today.
Once at GZ I made a quick find to the sound of barking dogs.

Went looking for this one with adl06 and loveit08 before looking at Christmas lights. As mrmurray said, the dogs go bananas. We found this a bit offputting and I also didn't realise it was well camoed, so left it for another day. There are two entry points for this one, one will take you past alot of houses, which we did, and I would not recommend this as you will most likely set off the dogs.
will come back another time.

Solved this one when it first came out, but I reserved it for Christmas day since I knew I would be nearby. Also keeping it in line with the Christmas theme, twelve, twelve days of Christmas.
The dogs were going mental but I managed to go unnoticed and made a quick find. I am awarding this a favourite for the hide. It reminded me of another memorable cache over the otherside of the valley.

Well didn't take long at all to solve this one- one of those ones I just knew what to do straight away but others might take longer to get that a ha moment.
Similar experience at GZ to everyone else I think- after a minute the dogs started up, then I realised I needed to look slightly further afield away from the first most obvious spot- an easy find there! Grabbed the TB. TFTC!

Surprised my self by solving Puzzle last night so here I am Nice Area must explore more of it Thanks and picked up last Scratchy and scored 4$ Thanks again
My 1st Puzzle and 1st 2nd to Find, wazza9 showed me the details of the cache and I suggested something and then today we were off to GZ, and while Wazza9 was getting the GPS to settle I asked should we check this spot and there it was. The dogs were letting everyone know we were around. Took 1 scratchie no luck, left keyring. TFTC
TFTC,
I was printing the puzzle out yesterday to try and find a way to solve it when Nana Nel walked past and told me where I would find the solution. Now that she has started caching, I think she will move ahead quickly.
It took only a few minutes to calculate where GZ was and we headed out this morning. Arriving at GZ set all the neighberhood dogs going and we moved out of seight to review the possible hides. We split up and checked a couple out without success while all the dogs told everyone we were there. We regrouped and had another look at the location from where we were out of seight to the dogs and Nana Nel observed the next spot to check and while I made the physical find, the honours had to go to Nana Nel. The one good thing is that the cache location is out of seight to the dogs, but there is no way that the locals are going to be happy with the noise created while you are trying to locate the cache. It was a bit like the Christmas song but rather than a Gaggle of 12 Geese a bitting, there must have been 12 dogs a barking.
Took the timber puzzle to incorporate into a cache I am building and left a Geocoin.

We planned on finding a cache this afternoon to get the 121212 souvenir and as soon as we saw this new publication we knew this was going to be the chosen one! What a great idea for a puzzle on this unique day! Mr H worked it out straight away with no need to refer to anything (he's a bit nerdy like that!).
We took off to GZ to find a highly likely hiding spot but couldn't find anything apart from mozzies and ants. By now the neighbourhood canine club were letting each other know of our actions but after expanding our search slightly the cache soon revealed itself and being less exposed the dogs also shut up!
A FTF, a good hide, an enjoyable puzzle, and a 121212 souvenir!
