Sad to see that my first geocache find is now archived Sad oh well it was the one that got me hooked, purely because I have walked past this location a couple hundred times and never knew of its existence. It's like a hidden secret that I wanted to become a part of Very Happy Thanks Rapidlywild, excited to see if any more caches pop up here since I'm pretty close!

09-Aug-15
After considerable thinking I have decided to let this one go. This location is just not fitting for a small cache, a micro maybe but I have had this one muggled numerous times. In the future I may place a new cache here but it definitely won't be a small. Thanks to all who found this one over the time it was placed here.

07-Aug-15
Will replace as soon as possible

Disappointed

Dug the place up. But no joy

28-Jul-15
Good hunt, no reward. Another day perhaps.

28-Jul-15
Searched for ages in the dark with torrevieja but didn't find it. Lots of evidence of where others has been scratching too. Sad

07-Jul-15
Nice spot. I did find an empty waterproof bag roughly big enough for a log. This plus 2 prior DNFs leads me to think this cache may have been muggled. :'( rip never 4get

26-Jun-15
Out with Sitehound and geo dog for a fun day of caching. Spent some time hunting but couldn't find it. Lovely spot to visit so nothing lost Smile

26-Jun-15
The only DNF of the day for Mack96 and myself. We looked around for a period of time in the likeliest of spots. Read some logs and looked some more. Plenty enough to find a D1.5 cache unless we were just too relaxed. Maybe next time. Thanks RW

21-Jun-15
Spent forever looking, didn't find it: ( Just unlucky I guess.

15-May-15
A quick find on a lovely day. Love the apology in the log by the anonymous finder that says sorry for looting the cache! TFTC.

05-Sep-14
Easy find when I switched to the free app.... For some reason the paid app doesnt even guide you, and tell me how many metres away I am! As soon as I used the Free App, it notified me when i was 30m away, Then i walked until it was only 2m away and it was right there infront of my feet!

The free version seems to work better

This was our first for the morning, as we enjoyed a meander around the nature park.

Find #8. GeoKids did the hard work.

03-Aug-14
After attending the nearby event, we headed over this way for a clutch of caches all within walking distance - a nice way to spend a sunny winter afternoon. At the cache we bumped into Mrs Vince and friend, and had a quick chat before moving on. Thanks Rapidlywild for the cache.

Big day today - I'm having a week off for stress relief, and to get some exercise outdoors to alleviate incipient diabetes and blood pressure. What better way to do it that walking the dogs while caching? I've had to pick up my repaired CPAP machine, so I've done that, it's a beautiful sunny day, and I've found seven really good suburban caches, and I've been to the dentist. Lucky me!!! I've still got all my teeth!!!. I've been home to get the GeoSchnauzers, and we're off! It's still a nice day, but not quite a brilliant as this morning.

Another good one, RW. Thanks. We enjoyed the walk, and the views at the lake.

Spent quite a while searching all the nearby trees with GPSr leading us on a merry dance before finally spotting the right one. We made it much more difficult than it needed to be [B)]. Interesting reading the muggle note on the first page of the logbook "sorry I took your stuff". No trackables in cache - I guess they're gone Sad.
Thanks Rapidlywild Big Grin

Took a while for GPS to decide which tree. TFTC.

A beautiful day in Canberra and great caching weather too. This is one that I found in the norther area that I had never visited before. Very pleasant area! TFTC

06-Mar-14
We spent the morning caching around the northern area of Canberra. We saw many new sub division being built, some great scenery, travelled over many bike trails & found a big variety of caches.
It was a wonderful morning out.
This was one we had on our list to find,
Thanks for placing this cache Rapidlywild

Quick find for us, Touring Canberra today in company of Baja15 and Wilbert67. Finding many interesting caches along the way. The weather seem to be holding out, little bit of rain but not enough to stop gaining smileys. TFTC
Lovely spot.

15-Feb-14

Out and about on an Aus Day ride. I knew there was a cache in the area, and we ended up riding over to a nice looking spot to fish out the phone. Turns out the cache was about 30m away! Hunted around in 2 spots and the GPS was a quite iffy. Sat in the shade, checked out the static map and found the cache 10 seconds later. Spotted the odd logbook note from the muggler too. TFTC - dropped a TB (I made sure to cover the cache well - it was nicely hidden when I arrived).

A great spot down by the lake. Never been here before, but have always wanted to check it out. I will have to come back on the bike some time.

GPS wandering a lot under the trees, so just had to check them all. Found partially uncovered in a spot I'd already checked Red Face. There seems to be 2 active log books, so signed both.

Thanks

Sunday 15 September 2013 - a cloudy, sunny and warm spring afternoon perfect for bike riding, walking and geocaching to achieve the 10,000 steps challenge for the day. The walk alone was 10km over 3 1/2 hours for 18 cache finds. Thx PaM. Cache was well camofloged and spot on GZ - see photo. Quick & easy find. TFTC.

11-Sep-13
I will head out to this one on Sunday. I am going to relocate this one and change the style of hide. Depending on what I come up with, I may archive this one and create a new hide and make it alot harder to find. Only time will tell. This is a great location and I really dont want to lose it due to muggles, so its now upto me to make the hide harder to find.

27-Aug-13
Lovely little spot but lots of debris including a glad bag with some pellets inside, broken glass and half a container. It may still be there but I couldn't see a logical place for a hide aside from up a tree. Gave it 10 minutes before heading off on my call of nature wallk.

14-Aug-13
Took a few rotations around the trees! !! But found

One of a number of caches found this afternoon. TFTC.

11-Aug-13
We walked towards GZ and saw a family there. Nice to meet you 'Brices'. They were signing the cache and said they had found it out in the open. We returned it to where we hoped it had come from. Perhaps the owner might like to check. A bit worrying having that stick cubby construction so close.

11-Aug-13
Found with geo kids. Met up with golden wattle and decrypter. TFTC.

7160. [green]FFP accompanied me to a few caches today and she was happy to find the cavern nearby. Interesting. Also not good for a cache so close to the "hut". Wonder why the pine needles were tied up?[/green]

[blue]Thanks for the cache Rapidlywild and the lead. [/blue]

06-Aug-13
Sixth find of the day. allrounder had already found this one previously but came with me while I made the find.

It was meant to have a couple of TBs in it however it appears it may have been muggled and the TBs stolen. There was a note inside saying 'sorry for taking your stuff, signed annonamus' (yes, that was the spelling! Big Grin)

It seems to be in a high muggle area and will continue to be muggled if left here.

Thanks for the cache!

03-Aug-13
Found it Smile

Great afternoon out with Dmuggle and the GeoKids.

This was number three for the day and this one was quickly located. Lots of Kid Muggle activity around nearby. Funny log by some muggles made us chuckle.

GeoSon swapped some stickers for a rubber.

TFTC Rapidlywild.

Found after a late lunch. Muggle couple in a car watched us walk down the path in light rain. Started in the drain amongst the stones then widened the search to the trees. The container was not hidden well. TFTC

Took a nice dog-friendly wander from the Palmerville Heritage Park to Gungahlin Pond with Doppelfrog on a glorious winters day taking in the history and a stretch of the Percival Hill Nature Reserve as well. An amusing history of muggle interaction but no sign of the trackables that were in it as previously mentioned.
