Greetings from Geocaching.com
I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.
When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your My Cache Page and clicking the link of your cache.
I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.
I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.
Thanks,
swampgecko

Plantman was here early in the morning on January 28, 2003 and still sweat buckets for the 1/2 hour it took to climb up. Searched for an hour and had great views but NO CACHE
A bit of a disappionting way to finish our QLD visit with a no find. We slogged our way up the hill in the heat and then set about searching and searching and searching. Like the previous logger we couldn't find anything. We found plenty of potential hiddey holes but no cache.... I would really love to know if its still around. Anyway thanks for the great views.

I searched for nearly 3 hours for this one, but could find no sight nor trace.. I had what I considered to be an excellent lock on the gps (4m) and took a number of bearings which intersected at the spot.. but NO CACHE.. mind you, there are a number of rocky out crops in this area, and I suppose a number of boulders could be considered 'slabs' - I removed NUMEROUS smaller rocks from a number of slabs, but found no blue lunch box (nor melted evidence thereof either) but, I may have been looking in the wrong place - I was alone, so perhaps another set of eyes would have spotted it.
I certainly would appreciate anyone confirming that this cache is / is not still here.
Good luck in finding it !
Oh, BTW, the carpark is not at the end of eucalyptis cls, it is a road that looks like a driveway, but is actually named ninderry rd. Here are the co-ords S 26 32.629 W 152 59.383

We climbed Mt Ninderry mid morning, on a clear day. All four of us lost footing at some stage on the steep and rocky part of the track. There is much new growth appearing following the bushfire mentioned by earlier visitors.
After waiting for other climbers to move on the eTrex took us directly to the cache. We took out the two plastic soldiers (Ninderry warriors??) and put in an insect repellent wrist band. After completing the log, we replaced the cache and tripped back down the mountain.

Ohhhh dear, what a disaster. We tryed this one without reading the instructions first - always a bad move. It looked easy enough, we set out along some reasonably well defined 4wd trails toward the top. I knew if they had a radio tower at the top there must be a road to take the equipment up, it was just a matter of finding it. Well we slogged up a barren hill side, past burnt trees and up a steep slope. We could see a cliff ahead of us, we just had to work out how to get around it. Well I circled left and right and the hill got worse, the trees got thick and burnt and we got covered with charcoal. Jade refused to go any further and I couldn't go much higher without a bit of rock climbing, at this point I decided that we had probably gone the wrong way so we slowly retreated to the car and cranked the A/C on full.
After a bit of a recovery, and reading the directions, we found the correct car park. A trail lay out ahead of us, we were happy. We stopped for lunch at the car park before climbing Ninderry for the second time in as many hours. The climb was steep but we reached the top eventually. We located the cache without to many problems except for the mozzies. We swapped a yellow utility knife for a little red space man. Good to see by the log that the cache has been visited by its (co)owner recently which is a surprise for caches with Spider in the name.
Over at the grave site, we could see down the valley to where we tryed to walk up a few hours before. Trek down was fairly easy except for a slip and fall by me. Ouch.
Thanks for the cache, Tony & Jade.

Found 4pm.
Missed the carpark at first but quickly backtracked. Walk began on a gentle slope but soon became quite steep. We found that we are not as fit as we thought, although all three of us including my 70 year old father made it to the top. There are a lot of rock slabs and we had to search for a while to locate the one with the cache under it. Judging by the condition of the cache (it has melted on one side)it was lucky to survive the recent fires.
Took the Berocca left tissues, puzzles and sharpener. If there had been water available we would have popped in a Berocca to give us the energy to get back down.
The trek back is quite hazaardous because of the steepness of the track coupled with all the loose rocks which cover it. We also got very dirty from the soot which covers everything.
Great views, but we didnt see the graves which others have reported.

I was in the area attending a conference, when I had a little time off. – So what to do? Have a swim at the beach? Have a hit of tennis? – Nah, - go geocaching of course!
As I got to the location for this one, I started to get most concerned. It appeared the recent fire had hit the precise spot where the cache was supposed to be. When I couldn’t find it within about 10 minutes, I started to think it was burnt to a crisp. – But no, there it was, under the rock, just as stated, and only a little singed!
Swapped the Fire-Ants badge for a sealed tube of Berocca’s.
Spent a little time admiring the views, and then back to work…

Found your cache, nice climb and what a view, pity about the bush fire. We took the stickers and left a badge and a golf ball, nice day out.

Found at around 10.30AM We were worried that the cache may have been destroyed in a recent burn off of the mountain but when we found it after a short search it was only slightly singed and the contents were ok. Great views from the top and several other walkers were also making the climb today. Nothing exchanged. Greg and Bev
Found by Mary & David at 1250. Returning south from Hervey Bay the night before and following a Reunion at Townsville, we found some time to visit Ninderry after an earlier stop at the nearby ginger factory. Still wary of her knee after taking a small tumble at Inner Brisbane 1 nearly two weeks earlier, Mary elected to sit this one out in the car. That was probably just as well, as the 4WD track from the car park soon petered out into a steep single track littered with so many rocks that it looked more like a dry creek bed. Finding firm ground to step on made the return trip almost as long as the climb up. Locating the cache was not too hard, it proved to be in good condition, and the view from the top just fabulous. Wonder how the materials to build the radio installation were delivered? Took a small doll in Scottish dress and left a pack of post-it notes. Thanks to Craig and Spider.

What a beautiful day to visit this cache on top of the world.( well it felt like that anyway the view was superb on a warm winters day)Climbed to the top and found the cache easliy. The pic of previous visitors standing on the cache site made the search easy ... perhaps a bit too easy.My GPS reading of the coordinates was only about 5 metres difference from the published coords .. some good accuracy there !The kids took a few things from the cache and left a wallet,a doll and some plastic figures. The cache was in good condition and dry.
Wow! This one nearly broke us! This was our fourth find for the day and we didn't reach the carpark till 4:20pm. We had to really press ourselves hard to get to the top before sunset at 5:00pm. This was particularly hard on our 5 year old daughter, who stuggled on anyway and made it to the top.
Once at the top the GPS led us directly to the cache (thank goodness). No. 2 son selected two blank CD's and we left a pack of allen keys. It was 10 minutes to sunset and counting.
Spectacular views of the coast with the shadow of the mountain almost reaching the sea.
Took 30 minutes to reach the top and 15 to come down.
Thanks very much.

Hey Guys
Well The Random Act's of Idiocy took the challenge late one afternoon whilst bored and made it there without too many hassles although the goat track to the top was a challenge for a bunch of unfit teenagers. Enjoyed the view and got a bit eeked out by the gravestones and the old house stumps. Definatly a nice spot all up tho.
Cheers

This was one of the nicest locations possible for a cache--high ocean views covering the length of Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Getting to the carpark was a cinch. The going was tough, but only because it rained buckets as I set out up the hill, which was about 1.3 kms. of clear, rocky track. Got a bit thrown off at the top of the hill, as a pile of rocks on open ground appeared a natural, if obvious, cache site. Alas, it was not to be. Another .03 kms. to the north was necessary; and a large flat rock appeared, with cache tucked below behind small rocks. As I had nothing to leave, I took nothing. No even a spray of the Aerogard. Thanks for a most pleasant day out!
