Early start today to attend a couple of Events down the Gold Coast and find caches as well. This waa quite close to an Event so a griup of us went for a walk to find it which didn't take long. Lots of cricketers warming up for their game but i think they are well aware of this cache now. Log signed by all and cache replaced as found. Now back to the Event to say goodbye before heading of to find more caches.. TFTC

Attended an Event nearby and this cache was close by (walking distance at least). Arrived at GZ and after some searching, found cache. TFTC saintsmadhouse

18-Feb-23
There was a young guy close by warming up for a cricket match as we made our way to GC. He stopped his warm up to run over and point out the cache. I did not find out if he was a cacher but he was very helpful as it would of taken us quite awhile to sort. The team from the local event where also pleased to see us and the found cache. Enjoyed a laugh and carried on for the other nearby cache.

Down the coast with RoddyC hatzofff and Imbunda to attend the two events being held today. After the first one we are out looking for a few caches in the area. A small group of geocachers went in search of this one. A quick find trying to be stealthy near the cricket onlookers. Log signed cache returned.

The opportunity to attend two events on the same day was enough to get me down to the Gold Coast, something I’ve been meaning to do for ages. I targeted some specific caches to help towards challenges and D/T grid completion. After this morning’s event in the park, I joined some other attendees to take a walk to find this one. Thanks SaintsMadHouse

18-Feb-23
Found after an event. A helpful cricketer spotted this for Kiscardi and myself. Thanks

18-Feb-23

Up early this morning and keen to get in a couple of caches before the event. I had made a small list for today. It was going to be a long and distance covering day as I had made plans to meet up in Toowoomba for Saturday afternoon. So it is Southport to tweed heads to Ipswich to Toowoomba and caches in between.

Working my way to the event I had arrived early, I saw there were two caches in the area so I went for a walk around. On my travels, I ran into the Park run event in the area. So many people and so much fun just people watching. Found the cache very easily as per the hint.

I signed the log, replaced the cache as found and then continued on to the next one in the area. thanks for placing it here, all good with this one.

Caching and trying to keep cool on this very hot day with RoddyC Imbunda and Patrol14. Escaped from the event and headed out to find amongst the cricketers.

Fellow geocachers were ahead of us so helped with a quick find.

Hello SaintsMadhouse I am Samboo Bear, I think we may have met before. Today I was in Albert Park with my puppy Max, and my minions Suzy and Pete - they normally cache as petan. They were out trying to improve their walking pace, Max and I were just after an adventure. I noticed that since you had a cache here dedicated to your puppy Jet, that I ought to go and find the cache for my puppy.

Now Suzy has some rules about my caching, she says that I can't find a cache unless she has found it and I can't find petan caches. Now normally the finding thing is finding caches at the same time, but petan found this one a long time ago, so I argued that they had already found it and surely I could do so today. They agreed but said I had to find it and sign the log, but ultimately it was up to Saintsmadhouse as to whether they would accept my found log and they are welcome to delete it if they wish. I accepted those terms.

While Suzy and Pete were powering along, we got them to stop near a certain tree so they could stretch and have a break, while Max and I got to work. I have to say, I don't know what's inside Max's nose - maybe stuffing or something, because he was no help. I found it. And I signed the logbook.

We took a photo - can you believe he wanted me to throw it for him - with the camo stuff on the container, he thought it was a stick. But no we did not throw it but put it back carefully where we found it.

Thanks for the cache.

<3 Samboo Bear

The light was beginning to fade, but we figured that we could find one or two more before it got too dark. We headed to this one, where stortigirls made a quick find. After signing the log and returning the cache to its spot, we turned to see a BIG dog standing right behind us. How can an animal that large be so quiet??? Then its owners appeared and called him away. We headed back to the geomobile, trying to decide if we could squeeze in one more find. TFTC

I was out caching with Selva Girls today, and with dark approaching we were grabbing a few more "just one more" 's before we headed home. A quick find here and a surprise sneak visit from an extremely large ninja dog, who scared the #@!* out of us when we turned around. We breathed a sigh of relief when he was called back by his owner, and returned the container when they were out of sight. Tftc saintsmadhouse Big Grin

19-Jul-18
Visiting Gold Coast for a conference. After the last sessions I went out to seek for a few more caches that will probably be my last ones in Australia before flying home. Reading about the dogs made me a little suspicious whether this place would be a message center where dogs leave their marks for other dogs to find... Seemed like a "clean" spot though. There were some muggles passing by but I found my moment between them. TFTC!

We had no intention of looking for this cache, we thought we were going to turn right at the intersection. Ah oh, that's not possible, maybe we should have examined the map in more detail Red Face. So, a surprise find but we'll take it. Thanks Big Grin.

A nice quiet park in a very busy New Years Day Gold Coast was enough reason to stop but there was another - this cache fitted nicely into the Find January in January Challenge we were working towards - and for once we were organised and doing it early in the month. But then we arrived at GZ and wondered if this was going to give us as much trouble as a few other caches we've looked for hidden in similar locations. No, is the answer, this cache was meant to be found! TFTC SaintsMadHouse and for being the J in our anuary. Razz

After a shopping expedition to Pan Pacific Fair, ventured to this large park around the corner, and made a quick find. Cache seemed to be rather open and visible, but otherwise still in good condition. Signed the log, replaced in its hiding location, and covered with camouflage so should be free it muggles in the future, cheers.

My first find of the day. I was a bit worried at first as my GPS was at first indicating that the cache was on the other side of a rather large lake that has resulted from the recent rain. But then it pointed at another tree on my side of the lake. Phew. Cache was quickly in hand. I left the TB as I am going in the wrong direction. TFTC

I found myself again on the Gold Coast with naught but a car and about an hour to kill. Cue whipping the phone out and hunting for a pen! We're going geocaching. This time in Bundall I quickly spotted a few hides by familiar names nearby and set off.

Thanks to my phone *almost* understanding where it was or what a GPS, I managed to miss the ideal turn so took a bit of a scenic route to get here. But I found a place to leave the car and followed the phone which lead me right into a tree housing a **huge** beehive. ABORT!

With a bit of help instead from satellite view, I located the right area that seemed far more likely. Just a few puddles and landmines to skip on the way. Of course if a dog can find it, I might be in with a chance and indeed, after a bit of poking around and no dogs I found it. Yeah, go me! A quick signature and we're done here. I replaced the container and avoided the bees and called it a success. Thanks for this geocache, SaintsMadHouse Smile
