TFTC JENPETEH, The H,s , South Africans living in Tassie GeoCaching our way around Australia and loving it
we spent a good 10 mins looking around the marked location and gave up so we started walking back and i noticed a stump i hadnt seen on the way there and ended up finding the cache just after giving up was super stoked to say the least
We are from Switzerland...We do houssitting all over the world and this time we are back in Tasmania the second time ...We traveled around here 14 years ago...its nice to be back and this time even better with geocaching ..Today Nggi2 and I went out to make out of green ones yellow Smilies on this PTPT track. But we were not able to achieve our goal ,because many caches are missing..and the ones we found we had to search very long or we had to dig them out. We did 15750 steps in 5 hours and ended up with 5 DNF`s and luckily 10 Smilies ...and one write note because that cache needs a higher T ..so we tried a few metres up through the scrubs and gave in.But we enjoyed manly this lovely nature track the tiny thwarfland and the scenery and the fern trees . yea the big fat trees fascinated me very much special theyr roots and hight. We also spoted four Wallabys .Thank you for placing this Dsli (Dsli means little box in Swiss)oinkoinkJust to say to the cache owners of this PTPT track ..it is only fun when the caches are beeing looked after..even when there are no DNFs.. I`m a cache owner in Switzerland and I check my Caches all the time special after rainy days ...and in the forest as wild animals pinch them too sometimes. But thank you to the Cache owners that do look after theyr caches to keep the PTPT trail alive.14 metres to early find !!
Heute bei schnstem Wetter im khlen Wald einige Caches der PTPT Wanderung gemacht. Die einen schnell, die andern etwas lnger gesucht und einige gar nicht gefunden. Besten Dank frs legen und pflegen.
The gps was wobbling around all over the place here, but nonetheless from the cache's name and descriptions on previous logs, I'm pretty sure I found where it was meant to be. Reading the previous two logs, with mention of making the cache hidden better, I'm wondering now if it is shifted from the original spot? I will be checking in to see if there are future finds
Almost a year since we found our first cache, we returned to the place where we found it - the Pipeline track, to try and find some more along this amazing trail. After turning off to our planned parking area too early and driving partway up the mountain, then turning back and going past it, we started walking on the Fern Glade track, where we found one cache at about 1pm. From there we walked to the Pipeline track where we found ten, and then detoured to the silver falls track on the way back to the car, where we found one. Twelve finds in total, our sixth for the day was also our 600th cache.
Thanks for the cache Swampy!
Thanks for the cache Swampy!
First cache of the year! Thought we would head out to the Totoro gnomes and find the caches from there back to Fern Tree, and lo and behold the first one was right here! TFTC )
We found it! Great spot to hide the cache. No pencil/pen so couldn't fill in the logbook. May drop a pencil into the cache when we next pass by. Many thanks Swampy for planting it all those years ago.
Finally! A find! TFTC hubby was quite impressed with the fake fruit (possible he was slightly hungry as well )
Along this most cool trail, i made my way to this one to make a swift find and sign as jogging and the odd cycling Muggle wandered past. Stealth was employed so when they were present i hid the booty and and pretended to be on my phone

Easy find right next to the track. We also noticed the children's wonderland across the track, with painted rocks, pathways, playground and miniature figures. Thanks Swampy.
The private property on the other side looks like some children’s wonderland! Glad to make a find after a couple of DNFs. Thanks
Highly likely this one has been taken looked everywhere and could not find it anywhere I think it would be a good idea to come and look at this one

Today was a beautiful day so thought we would collect some caches with the geokids along the pipeline track between Neika and Fern Tree. This was a straightforward find by one of our geokids. TFTC
A nice confidence booster for my efforts on the Pipeline Track. Cache 6 for my 20/11/19 Pipeline Track caching session, TFTC!
Over the past month or so we've been slowly working our way along the Pipeline Track, in a number of four-year-old-manageable stages. Today our mission was to pick up a few caches south of Gray's Road.
We thoroughly enjoyed our walk to this cache and the couple of others we found - it's a lovely spot, with plenty to look at along the way. It also helps that the track is nice and easy!
We made a quick attempt on this one on our way south, but our bit of a look didn't reveal the cache's hiding spot. We elected to instead continue with our journey and make another attempt on the way back. Fortunately that decision paid of nicely - upon our return, a change of approach turned up the cache without too much further searching.
Unfortunately we'd accidentally left our writing implements in the car. As such, our signature isn't in the logs, but we can provide a photo of the cache as proof of the find if necessary.
Thanks for yet another interesting cache on the Pipeline Track.

Coming down to Hobart to visit the newly relocated Hancock Clan, we needed to decide on a good target for the day. The Dragon’s Lair looked right up out alley, so we walked the majority of the powertrail to reach it. A few DNFs along the way, but a great place for a power trail.
The gps signal was highly dodgy in places, so the hints came in very handy indeed!
Please excuse the generic logs.

An enjoyable day out caching with Delloro who was staying with us for the weekend. The target for the day was The Dragon's Lair and it was a nice bonus to have this trail of caches to find en route! TFTC!

Tassie Trip Day 107 - Today was a good day for a ride on the bike and after deciding to do the Pipeline Track it was finding a place to park and found somewere that was ok but not the correct spot but alas I went on my way and the track was started.
Yes another one bites the dust this was a wonderful place and such a diverse area to see the country change in such a small distance along the track.
Thanks Swampy for bring us here and adding to this wonderful power trail in what is a lovely area to ride a bike and enjoy the track.

Great! Another find, this was nice and easy and luckily no muggles about. Thanks!
On a cold stroll along the PTPT,
I wasn't stumped for long here

Today was a clean up day, putting smilie faces on some caches that we just never seem to get to. Being such a beautiful day we were enjoying our walk. We moved the car further along and then did the huge hill climb up to the pipe line. Easy find in the obvious place.

Another fine day in Hobart and made my way up to Wellington Mountain, but first a stop in Fern Tree to find some caches. TFTC Greetings from Belgium.
Geokids loved this find! Took the trackable, bubbles and die. Left car, chrystal and whale rubber! Now to get this trackable to the mainland
Hmmn a nanno big enough to put a travel bug in?....Im not complaining. TFTC on a great day for a Tassie walk. TFTC
Decided to walk along the track as long as we could without running out of steam. Found most of the caches on the way, thanks for placing them all.
I think this one was a find for Egg while I was off looking at something else.
We had planned to do this lower pipeline a while ago now but today was the day and with only 4 of the 6 people in the group that did the upper some months ago due to illness.
It was a great day for it not too warm and with only a little bit of rain as we made our way along this easy walk down to Fern Tree.
Thanks for the cache.

I think there was a bit of confusion with the description and some of the team were checking out the wrong bottom
The eggs mind was on the job and she was all over this one while the rest of us bottomed out.
Thanks for another one swampy

G'day teamSwampy, thanks for this cache.
It was a lovely Tasmanian winter’s day, just right for a caching stroll with AlbyDangles, Lil Rafa and geoDog, and the younger ep with me. We started at Ferntree, via Silver Falls, down to Neika, then a bit further and finished back at Neika. About 19 finds for the day, and a couple of DNFs thrown in for variety! A great time with excellent company.
Nearly went past this one and had to back track a few metres so as not to be stumped.

The geopup and I had a great day exploring the lower section of the PTPT today with Eeepees and AlbyDangles. Great weather along the way. Thanks for the cache!
Found this cache with Ulagatin while also looking for the others along the track. TFTC
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Oh dear we are really getting slack. Took all morning to make a decision of where we were going caching today. Finally a decision was made that Mr Felix would try to complete the PTPT trail and Mrs Felix would go shopping
Well TomTom took us the long way and it was after 1pm before Mr Felix was on his bike!
Several DNF's today but not too hot not too cold made the cycling fun. Only took about 2 hours to do this section.

Found today whilst out for a walk along the Pipeline track. Time was limited and then I chose to turn back due to rain so I'll have to return sometime for the rest of the PTPT
thanks for the cache

TFTC came down from Launceston with son & bikes in car - ready for an assault on the PTPT series. Was surprised how many other people were cycling/running/ walking along track. Of course we ran out of time but completed 8 and had a few DNFs. Now to find time to come back and do the rest of the trail. Thanks for putting this cache along this track we had a great day.

On a good day for a walk, we headed out to complete the 7 caches on this part of the trail that we had not previously found. TFTC.
"Don't need no hint related, don't need no bouncy GPS." Gotta love tree stump caches, particularly when you're coming from your second DNF for the day. Thanks for another Swampy.
Visiting Tassie , catching up with friends, and of course a bit of caching.Perfect start to the day, slight breeze and with fine company. These caches been very enjoyable to collect along the way, greeting many muggle on our passing. THanks for placing the caches here.
Decided to continue our progress along the Pipeline Track, even though there was a light misty rain falling for most of the day. The cool wet conditions made for a soggy, but very pretty walk amongst the trees and Decided to continue our progress along the Pipeline Track, even though there was a light misty rain falling for most of the day.
A quick find in the most likely spot. TFTC!
