This cache placement does not comply with the new "Canberra Nature Park Reserve Management Plan 2021". I will attempt to remove containers over the next couple of weeks. Thanks to all the finders over the years.
On the way to find some caches further along the border we passed by this one on a damp, gloomy, day. A quick find at GZ, thanks Pacmania.
Find 301 for the tribe
Out for an early morning walk on a very fresh Sunday morning. Boy the windchill is strong in these parts! Off to visit Kitty litter's lookout and this one was en route.
Plenty of muggles at GZ (see pic) making me feel very watched, but I don't think they will do anything to the cache somehow.
Cache located in good condition with plenty of room in the log.
Will walk the straight line along the border another day when we are in this neck of the woods, you must say it is very straight looking at it!
Thanks for the cache!

What an adventure. Found it, and had a great time.
The robot clicked disapprovingly, gurgled briefly inside its cubical interior and extruded a pony glass of brownish liquid. "Sir, you will undoubtedly end up in a drunkard's grave, dead of hepatic cirrhosis," it informed me virtuously as it returned my ID card. I glared as I pushed the glass across the table.
He heard the loud impact before he ever saw the result. It had been so loud that it had actually made him jump back in his seat. As soon as he recovered from the surprise, he saw the crack in the windshield. It seemed to be an analogy of the current condition of his life.
She asked the question even though she didn't really want to hear the answer. It was a no-win situation since she already knew. If he told the truth, she'd get confirmation of her worst fears. If he lied, she'd know that he wasn't who she thought he was which would be almost as bad. Yet she asked the question anyway and waited for his answer.
Spending time at national parks can be an exciting adventure, but this wasn't the type of excitement she was hoping to experience. As she contemplated the situation she found herself in, she knew she'd gotten herself in a little more than she bargained for. It wasn't often that she found herself in a tree staring down at a pack of wolves that were looking to make her their next meal.
Out and about today cleaning up some of the un-found caches in the area. Grabbed this one as I went past. Signed the cache DSD. Thanks for the cache and the adventure.
Guys! I got to meet one of the horse owners! Sneaky spot and totally worth the walk. I managed to fit some things in it, too!
Great spot, can be quite simple or very hard depending on the angle of the dangle.
After the recent maintenance I took the chance to come back here tonight on a Hoppy walk. I expected something much smaller and had poked all kinds of holes when I saw the cache. took some balancing and maneuvering to get it out of its hide. This will certainly make it muggle proof but still a challenge for the cacher. Cracked the brand new lid open and signed the new log.
Thank you Pacmania for putting the cache out and maintaining it!

Mmmm, couldn't find it either, so have replaced. Hide has changed slightly so you will need long fingers or a stick.
Had a good long look around. Poked everywhere and even had a PAF but admittedly it had been a while for them. In any case I couldn't find it and after almost half an hour of search I had to give up and leave.
Nice walk to this hide after a peaceful lunch by the dam. Container had almost taken root - long time since anyone visited! Bucolic views from here - the horse right next to the cache thought so too! TFTC
Goodness how areas change quickly?? I have led many a walk from Fassifern Pond for my walking group some. years back, now we are faced with a gate with many locks on it! Oh, well, it is time for lunch by the lovely pond; now replenished we tackled the walk to the border, interesting to look both ways on the National Bicentennial Trail, and wish we were still bike riders! The lovely horse in the next paddock was certainly interested in a pat, cache found, a little sneaky, thanks for bring us here Pacmania on such a lovely day.
I have been putting off this cache for a while now due to the 2km return walk, I have driven to the gate on two occasions but both times I have decided against it due to either not having enough time or it being too hot!
Tonight I was out with a friend, it was about 10pm, and I decided a nice night walk to finish off with would be perfect
A great little walk along the road to this one, took us a few minutes to find the well hidden cache at GZ though! We were starting to get worried it was gone due to the hint being accurate and a small sized cache, but it just proved to be a sneaky hide,
Thanks Pacmania!

The mission today was to clear out some traditionals in the north east. Arrived at GZ with a young family, recently arrived in Canberra, feeding the horses agisted in one of the paddocks. Dad was interested in seeing Canberra and I explained, as I pulled a container from nowhere, the best was to do so was to get into geocaching.

We decided to walk this cross country as the grass looked short and inviting. Shortly after starting we encountered the creek that needed crossing. We found a little spot to jump across that was just hard enough to give us a story for the geomum and other geoson on our return. We found our way back on to the road about 100m from gz. There were surprisingly frequent cars on the road given it only goes to the private property. Perhaps they were entertaining tonight. Well we soon found the cache. Not what we expected when we looked there. Soon signed. This is one of the last Belco traditionals we need to find. Although it's on the fringe of Canberra it's still surprisingly unloved. We were only the 5th visit in the last 12 months. But glad we finally made it. Coming out here made me wish I had a horse. The track looks great. Tftc.
Geomum and daughter off to ballet gives me time to geocache. Found and replaced. Nice walk. Tftc!
With an unexpected bit of time this morning, called up dty73 and met up for a bit of caching. Was a very cold foggy morning but the road out was an easy walk and no wet feet! Didn't take to long to walk out and dty73 soon had cache found, thanks for the cache Pacmania!
Aquilus1 ad I had some time to walk out to this one this morning. It had been a green dot that was itching for a scratching. We parked at Hoff Place, then walked the foggy road to GZ. Great hide at GZ! Simple, yet effective. TFTC Pacmania!!!
Spent the day geocaching in the immediate area, walking 14km with muggles and Geo kids in tow. Great walk along the border, feed the local horses and enjoyed the views. Tftc
A nice stroll out. Cows mooing, flies buzzing, the odd muggle riding a horse by. TNLNSL TFTC
Found it with sumbloke. Fascinated by the cows and feels pretty good to be just one step away from the border. Great hiding place. Tftc
Tuesday 27 December 2016 - a hot humid mid Summer's afternoon walk that finished early evening with a cool breeze and dark threatening storm clouds nearby. Found 7 from 7 caches over 3.5 hrs for approx 6.5kms of brisk walking.
This was a lovely evening walk to and from the boarderline. Worth a favourite point for bringing us here to view the dead straight line, the homestead in the distance, the hills and wheat like fields all around - are we in the country side or in the capital city? Quick and easy find. Thx MuggleHusband. TFTC Pacmania.

After a pretty big day yesterday , I had decided to tackle just a few caches closer to home. Today's track was to be along part of the Bicentennial (Equestrian ) Trail. Years ago we used to ride our horses out to Hall on this trail, but the 'Horses too have Gone' and since yesterday's adventure was on shank's pony, I decided to use my bike today. Lifting it over the styles didn't prove any problem and it was a good ride.
Just as well everyone is heeding the CO's request and hiding the cache properly - the grass has just been slashed but cache is in good condition. Thanks for the cache Pacmania. SL

Another nice sunny day and I was in the mood for some caching-so off I went for a mid afternoon mini mission!
After making the find on another nearby I continued on with the walk to this one. Jeez my hay fever was really playing up by now-very sneezy and itchy and harassed by flies as well! [xx(] lol. Time to go home after this one!
Anyway, finally made it to the boarder and it was on with the search. Looked here, looked there before I saw something geologically out of place which then uncovered the hide. I would have found it quicker I think if I didn't have the preconceived idea of a small being a Sistema rather than one of these "smalls"!
Thanks for the hide, Pacmania

Thanks for the cache. Had a nice chat with a muggle mountain biker. Once she rode off we found it pretty easily.
We were cycling a section of the bicentennial trail this morning and this was another stop along the way. Coming up the road into a strong headwind wasn't pleasant but geez it was fun on the way back down!! [^] Surprisingly, the road was pretty busy with vehicle traffic. An easy find and all in good condition here. Thanks Pacmania
#1882 2 of 10 today.
I wasn't feeling too good today, so it was fairly late by the time I hit the road for some recovery geocaching. I'd already spent some time out at west Belconnen down towards the sewerage works. This time it was a bit more suburban. It was far from a successful day with a relatively high proportion of DNFs. Some were too good for me today, but others were clearly missing.
Good to finally grab one after a few DNFs.
Thanks for the cache Pacmania.

On a big day of caching through Canberra today with J+J.AU. Early stat and bikes ready to go. Quit a few hills to conquer today, but it was oh so much fun. Ideal weather conditions and many other outdoor enjoyers along the way made for a fun day!

We had a huge day in Canberra with Wilbert67 caching. Managed find all but 3 of our suggested list. I consider that a successful day and the weather was kind to us. Thanks for all the CO for the caches.
No pen on us as a cache trip wasn't planned. No signature in the log book but found with friends
F(H)ound it! 12:10pm
I'm visiting North-side to do a bit of caching. My friends, one of whom is a birdwatcher, took me on their "usual" route up to the lake and back. A very pleasant ~12km walk.
Lovely spot. There are some folks putting up some new fences in the area a pre-curser to more development perhaps? A very satisfying cache find with lovely rural views, thanks Pacmania

It was a beautiful day for a walk in the country - not much wind and warming somewhat. Thanks Pacmania
Found while filling in a couple of hours and remaining few geos in this corner. Thanks
Find number 1400. As a mini milestone, there was some careful thought into which it should be. A Pacmania cache and on the state border, was a perfect candidate. Accompanied by four legged caching pal Echo the geo hound we had a very enjoyable meet and greet with the cows along the way. The boy cows were a bit miffed at Echo, the girls didn't seem to mind at all!
We found the cache safely in its location after waiting a few moments for other dog walkers to pass by.
Thanks Pacmania, this is a great spot for a cache!
Cheers

Found this one earlier today after previous attempts completely missed it! Love the cache. Thanks!
An easy find on a geo-cycle this morning. I'd tried this one late last year, just before it was confirmed that it had disappeared. So there was some trepidation that it might have gone again. As I approached GZ, I could see that there was some activity nearby. As I got closer I saw that it was only a herd of cattle behind a grid. I parked my bike and had a look around then started the search. Thankfully I soon had it. TFTC, and thanks for replacing the lost one.
On a wet Sunday afternoon we thought a few drive-by caches might be fun to do. This one brought us away from our usual areas, and while we were looking we asked a couple of nearby curious equine friends if they could give us a few pointers. I'm sure they've seen many a cacher stand here and examine the area in the hope they may have a spare apple or a nice treat for them.
Having said hello, and patted the curious horses, we set to business and soon had the log signed.
Thanks Pacmania for bringing us here. The area was very beautiful today in the rain, and the nearby bridge/weir showed signs of recent flooding.

This took a bit of effort to sign the log, but got there eventually! First time out here, I could not find the cache. Spoke to the CO at a recent social event, and he was pretty sure it was still there, as he had just replaced it. Came out a couple of weeks ago, but got foiled by muggles training and riding horses! Walked out there this morning and all was clear, the cache located quickly and the brand spanking new log book signed! Whoot! But at least I got extra walking in by doing the trip twice more than I should have! It is also satisfying knowing that this is a loved cache again
It is a bit of a hike from the nearest suburb - I made it a 2.2km round trip, but it was on a tarred road and easy going. The views are nice on the walk, and if you come out when there are no flies, it would be a lovely walk all around.
Thanks Pacmania!

found it but could not retrieve it as there was about a dozen muggles on horses who decided to congregate at the GZ at the exact time I was there - sigh. I was time pressed so could not out wait them. I will come back and sign the log next week, but that is definitely the last time I am walking this road!
Hey Pacmania, I didn't find it either...! Looked in all the spots consistent with the hint but could not sight it.
Original cache was missing, so replaced it with something larger and a different sort of hide. Coordinates remain the same. Please replace as found.
Took a walk with a friend and spent quite some time looking - he'd done this one previously. But even with his assistance and phoning another friend who'd done it, still no luck. Hope it hasn't been muggled.
Visited this cache site with Trodectus. Despite having found it myself some time ago, we were not able to find it. I suspect 'attachment' may have made it easier for muggles also.[?]
Noticed 4WD vehicles getting in using alternative access. Possibly from Ginninderra Drive.
This may make things easier for owner maintenance.

Took far longer than it should have. But found eventually. Fresh log to sign
Bit of a hike when the gate is locked!
Replaced container and left the attachment to make it easier to extract (it used to be a tight fit)

As I found, My partner and I lost the lid on the grass somewhere, we searched for ages but couldn't find it. Placed the cache back as best we could, but it needs a lid of some description. Sorry.
#1208 - 19:00; I had originally made my way out here to do a walk along another part of the trail, when I noticed a couple of caches just up the road and decided to do them first. Followed up the road by a couple of hoons who headed off to do some wheelies nearby, so I wandered down the track to grab another one first while I waited for them to leave the area. Returned later for a nice quick find to help me fill in a few more of the blanks along the border. TFTC Pacmania
TaurusSix and I walked to this spot and found the cache. I had not known of the official walk starting point before.
Found with littleredshoes (and Kleo) - 16th of 16 found today... the weather made it too good to miss being outside!
Thanks for bringing us here - would never have come out this way if it wasn't for the cache - will probably come back at some point to do the walk itself - a bit late today after a long day caching!
