Sorry for the tardiness. Indeed the log was very wet. Will try to get it replaced with hopefully a more water tight solution in the next few weeks. Thanks for the patience.
We visited the cache yesterday and the log was very soggy. Will try to get it back online soon.
Yebo but what an idea to so this cache after yesterday's heavy rain, face palm.
So I took the pipe-walk, marched through muddy path (turned partly in a swamp) and puddles, detoured spiderwebs and crouched under low hanging palm leaves until I hit number thirty-three, guarded by a huge water puddle - feet socks shoes are soaked but I sl tftc

Found this one in July 2013 and forgot to log it. Found again today with Passport11. Didn't resign the log. Now it's on for a few more caches, then a pint or two at the Como Hotel. TFTC!!
Last time Iwas caching in the area it was too wet to have a proper search for this one.
Now on a dry sunny day I got it.

I lived in Oatley for a number if years and never knew this corridor existed! Nice cache!
Found with 'sesblocker' while out knocking over some unfound caches around Oatley. A pleasant walk and a good hide. TFTC katsumar
Found with "The Neighbs".
Great description made for an easy find. Peaceful and cool location.

Great spot found with Gentleman Assassin! Few too many spiderwebs for my liking... TFTC!
Found with Percita.
There are a lot of spiderwebs around the cache area now! Log book was a bit damp.

Borrowed a friends dog for a walk and I realised what great cover a dog can be - stops for no particular reason and sniffs around at just about every post/tree on the way! Off we ventured on a very enjoyable walk for both of us - cache was found and rehidden and dog returned. TFTC katsumar
I was handicapped by being in good clothes and for a while I was doubting my numeracy. In the end, I let the fingers do the walking and they found it. TftC katsumar.
TFTC, I seem to have lost my pen yet again so couldn't sign log. Came past with the pram last week but realised the mud made it impossible with the kids without being a while day mission. Am child free this morning so cache quickly in hand.
Have memories of walking along this pipe line as a teen and bumping into the police who told us we needed to come home for the day as they were on the hunt for a dangerous man on the run in Oatley.
Thanks for my first puzzle cache

Between a Guide and a Scout hall along a pipeline! What more could you ask for!
Enjoyed exploring the area, and the history lesson that we often get along the way!

I took longer to find this than I expected, basically because I read the hint and looked NEAR the join, rather than ON it whre I finally found the cache.
Apart from that, it was an easy, although muddy & slippery walk to GZ.

It took me a surprisingly long time to find this one. Bah!
Yes, a nice little corridor but very, very wet.

I had a lot of fun finding the cache this afternoon during a long run/walk in the area.
I was very happy ticking it off after two dnf-s in Como...

Meet BlackShadow404 here. It was his third cache.
But, after I spent 15 minutes looking for it, he found it in seconds. Who says experience counts?

A great little idea, really nice little walk and the cache wasn't too hard. What more could you ask for? Oh hang on, and old railway line [^]- I could almost sense the steam trains puffing along up here! TFTC!
Found it with Bec and the geodog. Awesome little spot - never noticed the pipes before. It was pretty muddy due to recent rainfall but it would be a good walk on a dry day. Thanks for the cache.
I really liked this cache. Walking along the pipe with the trees leaning inwards on both sides was really pretty. It reminded me of a song called Green Aisles by Real Estate.
Also fun fact: The name of the bolted section where two pipes join is called a flange.

Hi Smirkwood,
I'm glad you enjoyed it. This cache seems to have attracted a few accidents very randomly. Maybe we need to put up the Terrain value!
We've got a few more ideas for Caches around Oatley so keep your eyes open and don't forget to cross the river for OyStopit! which is a little simpler but in another little-known spot.
Hope to see some more Smirkwood challenges sometime soon.
Nicksmyname and Katsumar.

I returned today with mandalf and was much more successful. Actually, mandalf was the one to make the find! I think I miscounted it when I was alone though, and also over-complicated things.
This was a really great cache katsumar! Really keeping up the standards of Oatley caches. I really liked the idea, its simplicity, and its execution. Also, it took us just long enough so as to not be turned off by the spiders or the millipedes.

After about 30min. of searching I was about to admit defeat when the container finally revealed itself when I did one last final scan. Can't understand why I didn't see it the first, second, third time I looked there! The cache was dry and in good condidition, not so the track which was very wet and boggy. I took a tumble off the mountain bike on the way in after hitting an unexpected rut, but the mud made for a soft landing so no damage done - all part of the fun! TFTC.
I was getting a bit stir crazy at home having spent most of the afternoon in my room cleaning it and sorting things and watching tv shows on my laptop when I decided to whittle away some time on the geocaching app on my iPhone. For some reason I decided to click "find nearby caches" for some reason and noticed that there was a new puzzle cache close to home which immediately cheered me up and motivated me to get out of the house (I usually use advanced search and filter out puzzle caches)!
The plan was to round out this little story with a triumphant find but inextricably I opted for the thongs for this one which led to me cutting my foot and having to call it quits. Regardless, I have chosen to still share this tale with you to let you know I'm excited by the new caches, katsumar and nicksmyname, I look forward to finding them! Also, thank you for promoting my multi cache in the process, it's a really big encouragement!

Found with Rat&Brats; for our third FTF of the day, and PrincessAnni. After a short stroll, another clean log awaited us. TFTC.
Very surprised to find our 3rd clean, new log today.
Got this one with PrincessAnni & JustR, who actually spotted it.
