TFTC.. didn't find it very restful tho.. kid got ant bites, I got thorns, hubby didn't want to walk in thongs so made our own track in the Landy. Pretty wildflowers.
Inverell to Uralla stopping along the raoad where suitable with a caravan in tow.Not a great idea to cache in thongs where blackberries grow.Spotted a sign that led me straight to the cache. Thanks to all the CO for placing this cache.
Quiet day for us today so we headed out to knock over a couple of caches we can't do while towing the van. This one took a bit of searching and was guarded by the dreaded blackberries but we got there in the end. Dropped TB. Tftc
Watch for the spikey blackberry bushes.. definitely pricked myself on a few, but lucky a few hints from previous loggers helped narrow the search.
A trip to check out some of the awesome places in NSW and grab some old caches. TFTC.
An interesting area. Quick find among the blackberries.
An interesting area. Quick find among the blackberries.
Found as I slowly made my way back home to Adelaide via a somewhat convoluted route after attending the Mega Event at Townsville over Easter.
After 4 days and nights of intermittent rain it was nice to wake up this morning to sunshine (after the fog lifted). Hopefully I’ve left the wet weather behind!
The previous log that made reference to the skill was a great help here.
Thanks Littlerober53 for the cache.

Thank you Littlerober53.
Whew, rocks, blackberries, ants.
Looks like the sentry died on duty.

Excited to find this one after noticing it had been almost 2 years! Found a track in by 4WD, leaving us with a short 50m walk to GZ. Cache still in excellent condition - took nothing, left nothing. Part of the area we’ve never visited before - TFTC!
Thanks for this one the fire did a lot of damage. Some great footballer came from this town. Taking the TB for a walk
This Geo has been destroyed by the Tingha Plateau Fire and will be replaced in the near future.soon
TFTC!
I love caches like this, off the beaten track, a lovely spot to explore. It was so quiet here I just sat and took it all in for a while, and unlike many caches around this part of the world there weren't too many flies. I took a cute little walrus and left a swap for someone else. Thanks again!

A detour to Inverell and Warialda were on the itinerary as part of my big adventure. Along the way, I stopped off to find this cache. It was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
We were staying in Tingha and doing a bit of fossicking. We noticed that there was only one cache in the area as we just had to locate it. Mr Shifter waited in the car while Mrs Shifter walked up the slight hill avoiding the cow pats (we are on the common after all) and located the cache very quickly. Took the TB that was within (even though it wasn't listed as being in the cache) as it was on a mission and had been sitting here for at least 4 months.
Thanks for the hide Littlerober53.
Thanks for the hide Littlerober53.
On our way home from WA we met up with a group of friends in Tingha and found time to collect a few smilies. A pleasant stroll among the granites.
Thanks Littlerober53
Thanks Littlerober53
After a nice morning at Green Valley Farm we decided to pop out to have a look for the cache. Nice spot!
Dodged the cowpats and got to the spot, found the cache with a bit of luck, then found easier exit to the road
I was travelling through Tingha today on my way to Warialda so I decided to take a little diversion on my way to grab this cache. I have always been fascinated with Tingha in the way that the residents have granite rocks as ornaments in their front yards.
After pulling up at a suitable parking spot, I made my way over to GZ and after a short search I spotted what I was after.
The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.
The blackberries were dead as too was most of the grass as it could really do with some rain. He made the walk to GZ easier however.
All is good with this cache.
Find #489.

Short drive from Howell to Tingha and we were soon rocking it!
There are no blackberry bushes near the cache and the others have all died!
Cache located and two pathtags as well. Thanks grannysmith.
Found at 9.15am on 21st March 2016. TFTC.

This cache provides a good reason to stop and look around this interesting little town. There were some nice wildflowers about when we stopped by. Thanks Littlerober53.
Fossicking around the local towns and we were able to grab this decent cache before headed back to our home port

Tingha is a fascinating wee town, yes more caches please, we are kiwis who use Inverell as our base so would go back again. Tftc
Buckaroo and I strongly agree with Havachat, this is definitely a place that could do with more caches as this little town is certainly worth visiting. There are not many towns like this one, just like stepping back in time. If bringing kids, its well worth a visit to the fun park, just about 8km east of the town. Just like the town, there is not a fun park like it, just take note about the public liability doesn't exist for the fun park so keep your eyes on the kids and make sure they are using the equipment safely.
My heart always sinks when i approach a GZ to see a whole lot of rocks. Thankfully I found this pretty quick - the geocaching gods have been with me all day. Cache is well stocked so TNLN. TFTC Littlerober53
Visited Tingha as I know someone who was born here, went to the museum , had lunch and then needed a reminder geocache of the town. Found no problems, few too many mozzies. Thanks to Littlerober53
On the way very slowly to OzMega. A nice little walk. Tingha is a lovely little town (interesting castle house) and we enjoyed some fossicking here at the Sands place. We like it... have a pathtag. Cheers from WA. TFTC
This was a had to do for me for today's drive but I was shocked when my near local muggle Brother said no, I won't come I will watch your car instead, so I stayed with him while Rusty85 went on the easy hunt. Kinda glad I did as one would not have not been enough against the guys who pulled up. Hmm was so glad to do this cache in an area that I think of often and I will remember the experience. TFTC
Thanks to our gps device. I would never have found this particular pile of rocks among the many. Magpie cottage has a feel for unusual markings. Good walk up to the rocks, thru fiendishly scrubby bushland

A short spiralling hike to GZ with Baby Birt. Lots of hidey holes there but soon found the right one. Tingha is so green right now and there's water in the river, too, and I haven't seen that before. Thank you for bringing us out on this road through the village, it is really picturesque at the moment.

A beautiful sunny Spring day after a cold start of 2.7C. the cache was quickly found and log signed - still a bit damp but not too bad. A lovely spot for a cache. TFTC
What a lovely place for a cache! Garmin was dead on target, unlike Telstra. Log is still a little damp, could do with an hour in the sun. There was no writing tool, so we left a pencil. TFTC!
Missed it first time found it this time with help from an old tinghite joe luxford
A most enjoyable trip to Tingha - found the cache very easily as, unfortunately it was in the open with contents on the ground. I put it back together and hid it where I thought it should go. The log was rather wet, but managed to sign okay. TFTC Littlerober53.
Day 4 of my Epic journey. Left Goondiwindi at 0600 est and arrived at Glen Innes at 1700 daylight saving time. About 600K driven today. I really enjoyed the day and travelled on some roads that I have never been on before and saw some wonderful and beautiful country. Quick find after parking the car and going for an easy 90M walk. Good country to walk in. Good hiding spot. TFTC
This was an interestingly placed Cache, and for once the coordinate was spot on, and my GPS guided me right to the location (Tingha is well known for it's Granit rocks) but there were plenty to sort through at this location to reveal the Cache, which I found in less than five minutes. I enjoyed the short drive and the location of this cache, I left some small items of swaps behind to swell the numbers. TFTC.
PS. Tingha needs more Caches placing around this little town, as it is steeped in History, and would bring more visitors to the town. I give this Cache Favourite point.

Tingha would be the safest place in world war 3... Joking cos I'm local. Took travel slug. Will move soon.
Found on the way to to Armidale.
Loved the little bridge we crossed on the way. And saw some young calves butting heads. Thanks For the Cache

Found on a lovely afternoon of caching on my way to armidale.
Saw some very cute animals playing on the way but at the expense of getting a blackberry stuck in my foot ( note. Beware of cute animals. They're distracting)

After going too far down the road, we turned back and found the cache pretty quickly, whilst keeping a keen out for snakes but thankfully none today!. Tftc. Took nothing, left rubber.
Plenty of good potential hiding spots but found it after about 10 minutes searching. Took some mini pliers & left a spinning top.
Took some time out to find this cache whilst waiting for the Emporium in town to open. Fairly easy to find, enjoyed the detour. Signed log, left a penny. TFTC.
After driving up a couple of wrong roads, I finally picked the right one and soon had the cache in hand. While I was planning on travelling through here today coming from Copeton Dam and heading for Bellingen, the cache here decided me to go just a little out of my way to find it. I really enjoyed the back road to Guyra its much more interesting way to travel than main highways. TFTC Littlerober53, you picked some nice rocks to hide it in
I enjoyed my little rest on the Tingha towne common
What an odd towne [:o]
I haven't visited before, but it is the most ramshackle, untidy, but thoroughly interesting little spot for miles around [^]
The common is a beautiful area too, unsullied by the terrors of dirt bikes and 4WD's.
I couldn't figure out why that is ?
This sort of area should have been decimated by now, what is going on ?
Is Tingha surrounded by some sort of behavioural force field ?
Even the litter quotient was low on the common [:o]
On a drive along the road and the walk to GZ I spied only a lone discarded beer bottle and a few rusty bits of olde gavlanised iron
The cache was a pleasantly blackberry and toe stubbingly free find today [^]
TFTC and reason to visit a funny olde place that I did not know about

Unbelievable, we got silver on this one and it has been out here since January. Lovely spot. SL TFTC
The day was dark and windy
A cache was here to find
We headed out for Tingha
Chores were left behind.
Past the streets of roaming cattle
With Ground Zero on our mind
In the rocks and trees and scrub
We had our First to Find.
Found at 3.04pm. TFTC Littlerober53 and for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
