In the North Island after a great time caching the Dunedin Mega Madness. We have some very specific D/Ts to grab and a few oldies to boot and of coarse no time to complete such tasks.After returning home we were able to prepare this list of Finds:2022-04: 209 geocaches2022-05: 196 geocaches2022-06: 95 geocaches2022-07: 117 geocaches2022-08: 385 geocaches2022-09: 284 geocaches2022-10: 215 geocaches2022-11: 275 geocaches2022-12: 467 geocaches2023-01: 172 geocaches2023-02: 113 geocaches2023-03: 118 geocaches2023-04: 266 geocaches

Stopped here on the way back to Jville. It's dark and almost raining. Under trees and cloud my pocket computer is pretty crappy, so I started with the hint, although frankly, I needn't have bothered. It was a nice easy obvious find.Love challenges, many thanks.---It's another size regular dot-day and as I was perusing the map trying to work out which cache to target, I realised I have a new service available - I am no longer restricted to trains and buses. So I decided to come out this way. And maybe find some of the nearby caches along the way. So I headed into town, waited till 5pm, then got me a by-the-minute car hire. 2 hours maximum if hired overnight, starting at 5pm. I had it for 3 hours and found 12 caches. The first was in daylight - well, evening light, the rest were all in the dark. Love night caching!---[the Seagnoid](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=the%20Seagnoid) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC44VT8/8700 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.Challenge fulfilledFinds:2022-10: 82 geocaches2022-11: 66 geocaches2022-12: 198 geocaches2023-01: 100 geocaches2023-02: 69 geocaches2023-03: 72 geocaches2023-04: 446 geocaches2023-05: 68 geocaches2023-06: 122 geocaches2023-07: 58 geocaches2023-08: 65 geocaches2023-09: 52 geocaches2023-10: 84 geocaches

Made the detour here while heading north to grab this one. Short stroll and quick find. Much better than the double DNF I had earlier! Dropped TB. My qualifying list is below. Cache damp, hint spot on, well-covered by hint object and leaf litter.Addendum: Gah! Realised I don't meet the criteria for this cache (13 mos but not 50+ caches in each month) so have deleted my Found log .

This cache just happens to be closest to where I am currently staying temporarily and I already walked past it this morning! I just had time to review what caches are in the area and found this one. Reviewing my past finds (have had 2 years living in Micronesia - not many caches there! - I see that I just squeak in with this one with a baker's dozen of consecutive active months - yay! I first attempted this challenge a few years ago, when I was largely a solo cacher. All went well until the final two months, May and June '21, when circumstances allowed only 56 and 14 finds respectively. This time around, having the support of the local caching community to boost my efforts, I sailed in. So good to finally complete this challenge! FP from me.At GZ with rattll today, found after a short hunt thanks to the hint (and no thanks to GPS, which thought that I was 70m up the hill!) All well inside the container. Thanks for this challenge, boxhill! Screenshot of my monthly record attached. Thanks also to the Wellington Puzzlers Group, and other members of the Wellington and Kapiti caching communities who were cheerleaders for me. Easy to go and get 100 caches in a single month, much harder to sustain a rate of 50 per month for over a year.

25-Sep-23
Headed down to Wellington and knew that we qualified for a few challenge caches en route. Quick detour off the motorway and parked nearby. At GZ thought I might be there a while but found the right tree quickly. Cache and log all fine. Replaced as described. Searched Project GC and found we had over 100 cache per month for 14 months in 2021/2022. Well qualified. Thanks for the smiley.

I was out and about with supernanny showing her parts of Wellington and finding caches and this was one of the caches on her list of ones she wanted to log. And it was on mine .
The path the cache is near is used by the nearby school as part of the route for the annual cross country as it is the only ‘hill’ close by. Once the team for the Northern Zone cross country has been chosen, they run up the path several times each time they train.

I heard about this challenge about 10 years ago when I met a couple who had to start the the challenge again as they didn’t find 50 caches in one month. I felt so sorry for them, so when I started I knew that wasn’t going to happen to me. I came close to it in March as I lost a week and a half of caching due to Covid.

Many thanks to
* boxhill for the cache;
* Itchyfeet2020 who started me on this journey by saying, “You can do it” and then kept an eye on my monthly totals to make sure I did;
* so many Wellington geocachers (too numerous to mention here) plus other cachers elsewhere in NZ and in Canada/USA/Australia who came caching with me, who published caches during this and previous years. Without them I would found it very hard to complete this challenge.

Kia ora rawa atu for the cache boxhill.

In Wellington to visit family for a week.
Naturally I fitted in some geocaching while they were at work and school!

I hadn't noticed this Challenge Cache...
But was very pleased to find I qualify...many thanks NZ_B for driving me around ....

It was a good feeling to log this one. I’d been meaning to find this one for a while.

I first fulfilled the requirements if this challenge during the years 2014 and 2015.

It was a quick find today. A bit of moisture in the cache and log damp but still writeable.

TFTC and the challenge boxhill.

Thanks for a great challenge boxhill. I became aware of this some time ago and at the time had just had a month under 50, with a nice trend prior to that. But the good news was I would be heading overseas to the HQ event in at least one of the winter months (when my numbers drop). So with a bit of concerted effort to stay above 50 for June and July the rest was reasonably easy. I now find myself with 13 months - yah. After the Cannonball event this weekend my celebration is to come back via this specific cache. Great to get to GZ and find this one tucked away exactly as hint. Thank you. A FAV for sure. Photo of project GC stats attached.

I got as far a a dozen months at the start of last year then my nephew Sir Belac came to stay for the school holidays, he got to choose what he wanted to do for the weekend of Nelson anniversary and that was for me to take him kayaking to my favourite place Lake Rotoroa. One problem, it left me a few caches short right at the end of the month, there's plenty of caches for him to find there but I either own them or have already found them. So I had to start again. This time I made sure I got the numbers earlier in the month rather than leaving it until the last weekend. Started in Feb 2021 and still going strong in May 2022 so at this stage I'm on 16 months. Took longer than it should av to find.thanks for the challenge boxhill

Found it ok and thought i had qualified but upon real scutiny i dont quite get there ! Lock down in April 20 ruined it completely although June was just a little short. being winter.

this one caused me a bit of a sweat as I was well into it and I realised that I would be in Nepal for month 13 and the whole country at that time had a little over 50 caches that were spread over a large area. Luckily for me once the times were firmed up I had some time at the start of the month to get the numbers.
Today I caught the train and went on a stroll. at first I tried the track by the Playcentre before retracing my tracks and trying again a bit up the hill. For some reason I mis read the hint and spent some considerable time looking inside the elbow before deciding to look outside for what then became a quick find. My finds are as follows:

I had a list of chores for today, and some caching based missions to complete, which I was so focused on that I nearly didn't sign one cache!
I was able to swing by this one, which thanks to the excellent hint was a very speedy find.

Thank you boxhill for placing & maintaining this cache.

Yay, my 2000th cache!

I first spotted this interesting Challenge Cache about a year and a half ago, and discovered I had a long way to go to qualify for it. But it piqued my interest and so I persevered until at the end of Feb this year I finally had fulfilled the requirements.

Since then it's just been a matter of when I would get the chance to come down and find it, but with my 2000th looming I had an idea of a Challenge Cache of my own, not dissimilar to this one, so thought it would be appropriate to take advantage of such glorious Spring weather on offer to go for it, and hopefully get the last 32 caches I needed to complete 50 for the month of September which is a requirement in order to complete the qualification for my proposed Challenge Cache.

In the end I managed to get 30 caches, the last 8 or 9 being found in the dark, before I called time on my attempt knowing I would be able to complete my task over the coming weekend, so all in all I had a great afternoon in the sun, which is what a great deal of Geocaching means for me.

A quick and easy find at GZ thanks to the helpful Hint. The contents were slightly damp, but I had no problem signing the logbook. before replacing it all exactly as found. Thank you for this cache, which served both as a memorable landmark cache for me and as a spark for my cache to come later this month. Definitely worthy of a FP from me.

A little over a year ago I decided to have a go at this challenge. And what a year its been. A choice to do a minimum of a cache a day since then, as well as the required minimum of 50 a month, has taken me the length of the island, and to some amazing places. I have saved this find for #1500 for me, and am happy to finally log this one. Now on to the next challenge.

Continuing on our tiki tour and having crossed back over from the South island to the north, we picked a few challenge caches on our way to our next stop over. We didn't have much time so only managed to grab 3.
This was one and looking through our stats we found we had one period of 41 continuous months of finding 50+
However a PGC script output shows an earlier selection suited to this challenge - quick find at gz

Back over to Wellington for the second time in in four days but this time for family reasons. I first heard about this challenge when one of my friends was busy chipping away at it. So I had a look and had already qualified due to some changes in my lefestyle a few years ago which left more time for caching for fun and as a distraction. From May 2015 through to July 2016 I found over 50 caches a month. So I made a bit of a detour to sign it off today. TFTC # 13,217

**This was 1 of 27 caches that was found by me on the 13th of 19 days in New Zealand.**
**Which also was the 66th of 75 days that my travels thru southeast Asia and Oceania would last.**

Besides the 13 months that the checker shows I have continued to find at least 50 caches per month after April 2018 to. So now I have 26 consecutive months with 50 finds or more. And that will probably continue for the rest of 2019 to.

*During 19 days I traveled from Christchurch to Auckland in an SUV, that i also slept in during most of the nights. 5.956 km of driving did it take to visit the 351 caches that I have marked as found in c:geo.*

*Earthcaches was my main focus during the stay. And I manage to visit 106 of them. So New Zealand is right now the only country where earthcaches are my most found cache type Cool.*

Headed over here after grabbing the nearby skindo letter cache for 'J " Johnsonville'. I saw I qualified for this one and have already posted a qualifying note a little while ago. Parked real close by and headed the short distance down the path towards GZ. Following the hint the cache was soon grabbed, signed and replaced. T F T Challenge boxhill, hope you're well.

Looks like I qualify after a purple patch of finds when moving house a couple of years ago.
Jun 14 = 61, Jul 14 = 126, Aug 14 = 82, Sep 14 = 123, Oct 14 = 84, Nov 14 = 285, Dec 14 = 137, Jan 15 = 259,
Feb 15 = 171, Mar 15 = 170, Apr 15 = 149, May 15 = 388, Jun 15 = 152.

I have a meeting on the North Island that I need to head to so I came over the day before rather than risking the travel on the day option which is often fraught with the danger that thw Welly weather gods won't play the game and leave one stranded. So I made it over the ditch in good time to head up for a sociable Indian meal the evening before being planned in the days preceeding. With a little latitude for a couple of leg stretches on the way up to Bulls I targetted some quick stops that would also tick off some other targets.

I was with some keen fellow cachers today, we have come down from Auckland for the MEGA in Wellington, we're gradually heading south to an old cache Trogdor's Stash, we're meeting up with others but in the mean time I really want to come here and sign this one off. Unfortunately for my cohorts, they don't yet qualify, but me and FMZ do at this time, so I sign in for him and myself today. rusty and Rebel sign in too... I met up with a fellow cacher kotukuSI and had a chat about the MEGA we have attended and gradually we walk back up the hill to my friends waiting in the car. Then we are off for further adventures.

Our last day in Wellington for the Mega; I had consciously worked for this cache since I retired last year - and my 13th month was September.
Thanks for setting this Challenge, boxhill. It's a goodie.
Came across Gorby at GZ.

My numbers are : (and I am way behind in Earthcache logging, so they can only increase!)

Day two of our MEGA wellington adventure! The weekend was great and the Wellington caching community did a fantastic job of hosting the event and maintaining some great caches and the weather was perfect for caching! We started in Johnsonville and ended the day in Upper Hutt and the back and beyond caching to all hours of the night.

This was another challenge that we more than qualified for as we spent all of 2015 challenging ourselves to 100 caches a month.

Easy to qualify for an addict like me!

As my personal goal is to never have less than 50-60 geocaches per month, this was easy to qualify for, less easy to see when I might be down to collect it.

Having taken a break from caching for a couple of years, the number of caches locally had got up so much, including a lot of power trails and easy series, I figured this challenge would be a lot easier for me than it would have been at the time it was published. At that time I only had about 100 unfound caches within 100km of home.

I've enjoyed doing this challenge as a way of getting back into more regular caching. GSAK informs me that I have averaged 8.5 caches per caching day for this challenge, which is more efficient than usual! All in all, good fun but I'm glad it's over! I don't normally do challenges that require a streak of some sort, as it starts to lose its fun after a while. I reckon this one was just the right length. Thanks to the CO for setting it up. After I mentioned I had started the challenge, he commented that he was also doing it again over more or less the same period.

Stopped by today to complete the formalities at GZ. A nice easy find, signed and rehidden just in time before muggles wandered past. Nice to come done here again, we used to catch "crawlies" in the stream here on the way to school.

When I fist found out about this one I looked at my statistics and realised that over the previous 13 months I only had two where I hadn't found enough. As I haven't been geocaching for too long there are still plenty of unfound caches near home (Dunedin) that I would give this one a go. With 5 months to go I had made pocket queries of 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 traditionals closest to home and it looked very doable with one major hiccup. It looked as though month 13 was going to be spent entirely in Nepal which has less than 60 geocaches in total. I perservered and as time got closer and plans firmed up I ended up having enough time in Dunedin and Auckland before departure to score my 50 caches.

In Wellington for part of an NZ holiday with geopartner. Today, we decided to explore the region and collect a few prize caches.

Since I commenced on 8 Jan 2016, I haven't had a month under 50 caches. November 16 was 51 - that's appears to be the lowest. Once I log all my Christchurch caches from a few days ago, I will cover this month as well. Photo from ProjectGC attached as proof.

Parked on the road a little further up from the path and walked down. Container was found quickly. All in good order. TFTC boxhill

This cache has been on my radar for about 6 months when I first noticed it. At that time I had been finding caches at more than 50/month since I started caching (except for the very first month). So I figured I should be able to sustain that for 13 months. Turns out that happened without really trying. Although my finds for the last few months have been in the 50-60 range there were no close calls.

So today I found my 50th cache of month #13 and the very next cache (#51) is this one! It felt more rewarding having worked my way towards this goal rather than many cachers who just have to check their history! As long timeframe challenges go this was surprisingly much more achievable than it appears. Something like 100/month would be exeedingly challenging I think so thanks for picking a realistic threshold.

I'm not about to slack off (much) having satisfied the requirements for this cache but at least I don't have to "worry" about breaking a 13 month streak any more. TFTC. +FP.

Thanks for a fun challenge boxhill! I was streaking for 13 months, so by ensuring I claimed an extra 20 a month I also qualified for this cache.

Found with NZDi while on a five day holiday in the North Island. We managed to get some free tickets through work to the RNZAF 80th Anniversary Air Tattoo held at Ohakea over the weekend 25/26 Feb 2017 and decided we should use the opportunity to tick off a couple of other things we wanted to do while we were there. One of these was a 'Bucket List' item to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and another was to visit the Gallipoli Exhibition at Te Papa. Of-course the North Island was a "Target-rich' environment as far as geocaching was concerned as well
.
Yesterday was a travel day with a flight across the 'ditch', then pick up a rental car and drive up to National Park in preparation to do the TAC today and was not intended as a big caching day but we picked off three targeted caches just as an entrée for the long weekend. These were a challenge cache closer to Wellington and a couple of caches either side of the Bulls bridge. However once we had checked into our accommodation in National Park we discovered we had two or three spare hours before dinner so decided to do a few local caches. Looking at the geocaching map, I saw a plethora of caches out this way and decided to take advantage of the opportunity to increase our numbers. So we ended up doing some of the LOTR series around Whakapapa and ended up with 37 for the day.

Today was the day we ticked off one of our bucket list items, the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and although we awoke at 5.30am we had to cool our heels in anticipation while we waited for breakfast to be served at the lodge and then for our shuttle to arrive. The best thing about is was we awoke to a beautiful blue sky day, it was going to be a cracker on the track which when planning these trips months in advance is never guaranteed.

While planning this trip, I did a search for any caches that might increase the finds on my D/T Matrix, and discovered this one. I have listed my qualifying data on my Write Note log on the 12th of January 2017. Funnily enough, thanks to this trip, this is the first month since February 2016 that I have completed more than 50 caches. This was a QEF PnG at GZ.

TFTC boxhill and a FP from me.

Somebody said to me early on that I shouldn't clear out too many of the local caches too early because it makes challenges like this difficult. Great advice, but I've been rationing the nearby caches for six months to make this happen and also to complete a 366 day streak. This week both came to fruition and, for now, I can find caches if I want to, and not when the weather's grim! It's been fun completing this but the last month has been frustrating as the finds ticked slowly upwards.

The cache itself is an easy find, although I'm not sure the hint object still qualifies as small.

The list of qualifying caches is in the attached image.

TFTC!

I am coming to New Zealand very soon now and hoping to do some challenge caches whilst we're over here. I qualify for this one very easily having found more than 50 caches per month from August 2012 til May 2016! please see attached photo.

Day # 11 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ Big Grin.
Today was a very important day in my current life as a NZ-guest-cacher Red Face:
Main goals:
1) Visit NZ's oldest cache [^] and
2) Collect 7 Kiwi-cache-types in one day RazzRazz
Both missions could be successfully accomplished Big Grin. At the end of the busy day the daily record contained 23 finds of 7 distinct types and on top a wonderful [^] (unexpected) event Wink. This added even one more icon to the list of cache-variety for today CoolBig Grin - so cool! [^]

This interesting challenge was on my list as well Razz.
As I found the box, it was really buried in the soil and I had to dig it out. Razz But everything's fine here! [^]
Logproof enclosed: 23 Month of finds > 50. Cool

Hey - Wellington area - you have cool caches and of course sympathetic cachers and owners [^] Big Grin!
A big thanks [:X] to all Owners involved [^] for hiding and maintaining Smile.
Cheers from Germany SmileSmile

Living in the South Island, I don't usually target North Island caches, but I am planning a trip to the NI next month and thought I would search for caches that I have missing on my D/T grid and this on turned up. It had a tick next to it which I assumed meant I qualified for it and when I checked, I did (qualify).

I started caching on the 20th of January 2015 and my qualifying caches are the first thirteen full months after that (Feb 2015 to Feb 2016). Funnily enough, I haven't exceed 50 caches in a month since then.

My stats are:
Feb 2015 - 75
Mar 2015 - 82
Apr 2015 - 59
May 2015 - 76
Jun 2015 - 65
Jul 2015 - 144
Aug 2015 - 104
Sep 2015 - 167
Oct 2015 - 119
Nov 2015 - 111
Dec 2015 - 114
Jan 2016 - 91
Feb 2016 - 113

I don't know if my schedule will give me time to go for the final, but who knows.

TFTC boxhill I hope you enjoyed cleaning out Blenheim

Noticed this a while ago but didnt qualify. Last Xmas do nearby, SJTNZ was saying they had just found their 50th cache for the 13th month and thought I could do this also. Now completed (Dec2015-Dec2016) and found the (lonely) cache after the Xmas do this year. Some months were easy (Decembers). Thank goodness for some geotrails up past Foxton (helped in the winter). and plenty in the Wairarapa, and other odd trails like the river series at Island Bay. Easy find where all quiet. Thanks for the challenge boxhill. Worth a Fav.

Qualified for this at the CO's event on Sunday. The cache itself was a quick find with TregearP on yet another new path. All in good condition, although a little water had made its way into the container. Log still fine within its bag. Dried, signed and replaced as found.

The challenge seemed like a good idea at the start, but as the numbers started climbing and the number of close-to-home caches dried up it became increasingly difficult. We didn't help ourselves by missing the target last November whilst travelling internationally and needing to start again in December, Stats as at 15 Dec 15 attached although with still over half a month to go I'm sure that the 51 this month will increase.

Thanks for the challenge, and of course the cache.

15-Dec-15
Had two pretty good months under our belt when we committed to this challenge and then there was Vietnam, a great travelling experience but where we were caching was limited so came under the bar. Back to square one, overall it has been fun, explored lots of places we hadn't been for many years or at all. We've really appreciated some of the power trails to get those numbers up and enjoyed most of them as well. Over the last few months we've focused more on the grey matter and getting into a few more puzzles, there's been some challenges and some I've parked until I grow up a little bit more as a cacher but really enjoyed meeting the super puzzle fraternity. Thanks for a super challenge although I'm pleased it is over. Cache and easy find.

Thanks for the extra fun.

Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]

We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

Greetings from Finland.
Thanks for the challenge.

Fifth day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards south. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. Driving to south and heading to Christchurch Mega event. Today we headed to Wellington to catch a ferry tomorrow. Tooking some 'detours' via caches of course.

I have used [url=http://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC44VT8/8700]Project-GC[/url] to see if I qualify for this challenge and I do.

Today we drove from Whanganui to Wellington and stopped to some caches on the way. TFTC!

#1414. Guess it should it have been #1313 to fit the theme but needed all these numbers to get this challenge completed. Its been a long time coming. Soon after starting geocaching we spied this challenge and decided it was worth starting it early while we had lots of local caches. After getting 52 caches in the first month (Oct 2014) it has been pretty easy to get 50 every month provided you do one big weekend per month. A few months when I have been away on field trips has made it a bit harder at times. Enjoyed doing the challenge but will be nice not to have the pressure of it each month. Still I expect we will keep going at well over this number each month as there are a number of skindo 100 and 250 cache finds per month still to earn. This is our last dot day until mid-Feb (thanks to last summers 100 day streak) so a dual cause for celebration. I'll add a snip from our profile as proof of the achievement. Thanks for the challenge and the cache.

At long last I can knock this one off! When I first saw this cache I had a three month streak of qualifying months, so it's been a long 10 months trying to make sure I kept on top of my finds. I almost gave up in April or May when I had ten caches to find on the last day of the month, but I managed to find them to keep the streak going. I finished September with 1150 finds so my 1200 find was going to be my qualifying find, which I made special by picking up on of the seagnoid's spelling challenges.

My monthly stats are:

2014-10 74
2014-11 100
2014-12 57
2015-01 129
2015-02 57
2015-03 50
2015-04 50
2015-05 50
2015-06 50
2015-07 50
2015-08 57
2015-09 54
2015-10 55 (so far, this is 56)

Hi

You have misinterpreted what is said. Any cache anywhere is acceptable. The places given are only examples of where they could be. If you have met the monthly requirements and you are a Premium Member you are free to find the cache, sign the logbook and claim the find.

Cheers boxhill

I think it's unfair that the cache must be only in New Zealand, Australia, Timbuktu or Kalamazoo. I'm from Europe (Czech Republic), I will go to New Zealand, I meet the conditions for European geocaches and this I can not log on.

#1495 I started this challenge the day I got out of a moonboot after ankle surgery. I literally took the thing off after visiting the specialist and drove to Whanganui for work. I stopped for three or four drive-bys that day. It was pretty tricky / unstable work. The caches deserved a higher terrain rating just for that day! Work in Whanganui kept me hunting there and on the road to Whanganui for several months. Doing the 100 day challenge also helped. Hunting generally for this challenge took me to Christchurch, Napier, Hastings, Whanganui, Palmerston North, the Horowhenua, the Wairarapa, Paraparaumu, Greater Wellington and the Hutt (of course), Rakaia, Dunedin, Timaru, Oamaru, the road between Christchurch and Picton, and Nelson. I’ve probably missed a few places – a couple in Auckland definitely (that place is still untapped by me generally). The furthest south was near the Catlands in Southland and the furthest North was Auckland (Takanini). The biggest day was July 13th 2015 (100 caches in 6.45 hours – my personal best) doing the newish power trail north of Foxton in the Horowhenua. Another power trail was finished near Rakaia on January 28th 2015 (68 caches in four hours), the Te Araora trail near Paekakariki (14 caches, 31st August 2014) and a short one behind Sanson (17 caches). The last couple of months has been a real struggle to keep the numbers up. I tended to wait until near the end of the month and then panic. June was the worst but fortunately I had a whole day to drive to Picton after a few days in Christchurch right at the end of the month. The average was 80 per month with a total of 1042 (not counting this one). I finished with the Horowhenua (KAS) power trail – 100 for the day – now I can rest for the remainder of the month while I plot a sub-zero time for the 100, 10, 7 challenge (already well advanced). Boxhill as always – well enjoyed – but I’m really glad it’s over. Worth a favourite point.

One of many finds during a weekend cache raid of the area. We enjoyed great weather, fun caches and we managed to fill a few boxes on some challenges we are working towards. Our run starts December 2011 and continues throughout 2012 - photo of stat page attached. Quick find for this one then we visited a niece who lives just around the corner TFTC.

Finally managed to arrange a work trip to Wellington that was more than a fly-in/fly-out … with a spare day up my sleeve, started bright & early on the Zealandia power trail and, with that under my belt, set about collecting a few 'must-find' caches, which included this one. Qualified for this one in 2012-13 when I first caught the caching bug, then real-life got in the way & ruined my 50/month streak. Back up and re-infected with that caching bug again, although not quite enough time has gone by to be able to say I've qualified for a second time lol. Glad to be able to park close by & saunter down for a nice easy find - the legs weren't that thrilled about going too far by this stage in the day. Cache all good, thanks for the challenge & TFTC

Last summer the idea was born to visit [Green]'New Zealand'[/Green], together with [url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url] Razz
After some important decisions regarding the beginning of our trip, the flights, the general route and the car were made, the most important question was still unanswered: which caches can we visit during our tour [?]
To get an answer for this topic I was fetching almost every cache from both islands Red Face[8)][:X]
[url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url] and I love [Teal]'Geo-Arts'[/Teal]...so we added all these cache series to our wish list Cool
After this decision was made this list was more than 300 puzzle caches long...unsolved puzzle caches Surprised
Two weeks before Christmas it was getting time to start solving all these mystery caches Wink
Even with the different language I could find almost every solution Cool
In the case I was not so successful I was contacting some of the CO's...and was always getting help from them...many thanks for this support [:X]

During the following weeks our cache list was growing and growing...meanwhile more than 1000 caches long...too long for a simple bookmark list from GC Sad
Time to get our route and caches in sync...time to save the PQ's to our Garmins...time to start this holiday:

Chapter 17: [red]Wellington[/red] to [Green]Martinborough[/Green]
Yesterday we could finish our second geocaching art: [teal]KiwiGeotrail[/teal] Wink
Today it was time to get to our next destination of our journey: [Green]Martinborough[/Green]

During this drive we also stopped for some caches Big Grin
This challenge cache was one of these caches Big Grin

I would like to thank all the cache owners for showing us these great places and maintaining all these caches,

No problems here soon at GZ for a quick grab and here are lots nof months with more than enough caches each TFTC

27-Jan-15
Started this one quite some time back and completed a few months ago. A few work trips and a couple of holidays/long weekends made most of the challenge relatively do-able. Only a couple of months where I had to go and get a few extra, however, with not having done much caching for a while locally there was sufficient 'supply' around. Qualification attached.

An enjoyable challenge, gets a fav from us. Convenient to collect as i had to attend a meeting nearby. TFTC boxhill, #7540

Mrs Biggles and I spent the weekend in Wellington and managed to find a few caches while we were and made it to two events as well. After we left the nearby event we had time to find a couple more caches before heading to the next place we needed to be. Always up for a challenge, I must have marked this one as one to go for some time ago as it was in my GPS. No problem finding the cache. Although its contents were a little damp, the log was still OK to sign.

So here's a sample list of 13 qualifying months:
1. January 2010 - 160
2. February 2010 - 99
3. March 2010 - 357
4. April 2010 - 96
5. May 2010 - 116
6. June 2010 - 114
7. July 2010 - 110
8. August 2010 - 134
9. September 2010 - 142
10. October 2010 - 191
11. November 2010 - 137
12. December 2010 - 102
13. January 2011 - 280

TFTC, Biggles.

Cache # 2,072 - My cache for the day on the way to work. Well, this one is more than a cache for a day. It is the culmination of more than a year of caching. When I first saw this cache published I laughed it off as unachievable. Then I started my streak towards 100 days. A couple of months into that streak I looked at this challenge again, and realised that with a cache a day I was already 2/3rds of the way to this goal each month. A little extra effort and I could get to 50 a month without too much sweat. And then I made it happen, with most months featuring a trip to either skindo land or north of Levin to grab a big batch of caches. Finished off last month with my 13th in a row, and we'll see how much further this run can go - secondary to my daily streak. Thanks for the challenge. Quick find this morning, and all is well in the cache.

Called by for a quick find and my last find of the day. I was fairly sure I qualified but needed to get back to base to confirm. Managed 20 months in a row up to Feb this year.
I'll had a capture pic when I have the technology. In the meantime my stats on my home page can be checked.

This was because of the D/T combination an interesting cache for me. So on a day tour this was the first stop. While raining it was a bit slippery by finally I managed to sign the log book.
Thanks for the cache and greetings from Germany, Peter M.

Another Challenge cache that followed on from 2013's "31-days of August" (that itself led to the 100-day challenge). Completed my 13th month during a recent trip to Singapore & Malaysia, but this was the first opportunity to get in this neck of the woods. Pretty scungey weather early this morning - a pretty cool southerly driving the rain in - but fairly sheltered close to GZ. No problems finding the cache, and signing the log. A couple of months were close-run things, but managed to keep the Challenge alive. Big Grin
Seems like July and December are my most difficult months!

Thanks for another interesting Challenge Boxhill - I plan to keep trying to collect at least 50 caches a month going forward. Razz

Wow! This challenge started last August when I did part of the August streak which led into the 100 day challenge. Included multi and puzzle streak challenges and did this alongside the Club 732 challenge which I have also just finished!
Thank you for getting me off the couch and out of the house on good days and bad, in sunshine and rain. I've explored parts of Wellington I didn't know were there and learned so much local history, general knowledge and 'great' puzzle solving techniques.
Thanks Boxhill - and can you avoid Jville for anymore mega challenges. I still have the Odyssey to complete!

This cache formed part of Day 2 of our 2 day assault on Wellington puzzle caches (with a few traditionals thrown in as well) whilst we prepared to attend SAROCs Winter Solstice event and pick up Grunta1's Bakers Dozen challenge.

YES!

Finally got there! Completed the requirements this morning and decided to collect after the Winter Solstice event. Logging now (proof of accomplishment to follow when we get home) as want to keep logs in order.

A quick find at GZ.

The start of a new month and finaly I get to place my name in this log. It has been a long 13 months during which I had largely neglected the Wellington caches in case I needed some at short notice to complete a month. Given that I had already cleared out the bulk of the local caches I knew that I really only had one shot at meeting the requirements this challenge. As such there have been a number of trips to the fertile lands of the Wairarappa plus trips to Auckland and Queensland along he way to attain the numbers. There were also a few months where the nerves began to set in and the requirements had to be met very late in the piece.

Thanks for the challenge but I'm glad that it is over.

Wow, what a fantastic challenge!
I had a great time completing this, it definitely pushed me to think about some of the days that I was caching.
Rather than being happy to go and get a few, I had to plan to go and get 10-15 or more at a time.
Need to thank Mrs 1Grunta for not only allowing me to spend so much time caching, but actually pushing me to complete this.
I left the actual find of this one as it was the closest to home, and was my "emergency cache" while completing the "100 Day Challenge". This was day 100.

Thanks for another great challenge boxhill.

Oh yeah, baby! Its done, finally. It took a couple of trips over to Skindoland, a couple to Auckland and further north too and of course the Pauatahanui Kiwi. A very good challenge and I feel pretty good completing it, as for the next few months I have a number of things on my plate which will cutdown on my ability to chase numbers. TFTC

Pleased to note this challenge as have already completed the formalities and will collect next time I'm down that part of the country

Finally made it
Heading south for work on Monday so made the best of the late arrival into town by collecting a few caches. I submitted the qualifying caches back in November 2013.
Thank you for another great challenge that helps me reflect on caches collected over time.

When I first saw this challenge, I thought no way could I ever do this.....but then I thought some more, and realised it was little more than one a day, and that I'd already found 100 caches in January 2013, so I thought I'd keep going and see what happened. Thanks to trips outside Wellington, I got there with ease in the end, and managed to fit in 3 challenges, including the BGSC and 100 day streak challenges. TFTC - to omit to award it a FP would be ungracious.
