OCW PelDroedGwin Exploring Geraldton for a few days.I bought a Rubiks cube yesterday to play a challenge with my family in the UJ so had to visit this cache. Tftc
Woot! After a DNF yesterday, we contacted the CO for clues but it turns out, the cache had gone missing. The CO have replaced and now this cache is back in action! Had it quickly in hand this morning. TFTC!
Nice spot. I was ready to throw in the towel, but Drewskiandfam persisted and napped the find!
We had looked for this one before but had no success so we were back in town today so decided to give it another go. It took us a little while before it was located. TFTC
#821 ~ After a few DNF attempts on this one I contacted the CO for a hint and to confirm that my process of elimination as to the possible location was correct, after all the terrain is 1.0 and its wheelchair friendly After confirming that rock climbing was definitely not required and that I was indeed in the right location (the gps was pretty much on the money I mean GZ ) a little deeper searching soon had the cache in hand. So happy to turn the frown upside down and get a smilie on this. TFTC and assistance Ian&Sue - Team Pathfinder.
Having had a little look see last night with no luck I came back today with determination to find this hidden little devil but to no avail. Taking into consideration that its Wheelchair accessible and a terrain of 1 decided that no rock climbing or tree climbing should be required. Ill be back!!!
Started out Geocaching journey with this one without any luck. Will come back to it
Cache is still in place, you need to look for it. Note difficulty is 3 stars.
Couldn't find just alot of rubbish in the area that didn't help on this search
Based on the terrain rating, the size and the GPS coords we think we know where it is, but we still can’t find it. We’ll be back! TFTC
Deflated by a DNF on this one we went and had a coffee at the Jaffle Shack behind the Rubiks. After reading previous logs we returned with renewed enthusiasm. It was exactly where we though it was on our previous look, we just had to look a little deeper. Very cleverly placed. TFTC
I had to sit and look at this from a few metres back before I finally realised where the cache was. High muggle area but managed to do alright. Had me stumped for quite a few weeks though . Thanks Ian &Sue for placing and maintaining this cache here
Ok so I know where I must look..but I still can't find it! I'll be back in a few hours to try again!
Another DNF. This and the merry go round fast becoming my Geraldton nemesis caches
Random geocaching on a work trip to Geraldton no luck it's a bit hard to be stealthy when there is muggles trying to catch the straycats
Out and about exploring Geraldton this afternoon. Well, we made this much harder than it should have been, but it was a nice sneaky hide. Was a bit distracted by the cats and their beautiful markings. Only two left there now according to some locals who are feeding to gain their trust, trapping and rehoming them. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment. Fav point worthy
Was having trouble finding it until the actual owners of the cache happened to come past, saw us looking for it and then helped to locate it! Very good hiding place!
Wow, we made that way harder than it needed to be. Thanks for the hint. We've had a lovely day out visiting the Museum, then lunch and some caches.
This is my 500th find, mostly with Bjossi who introduced me to caching.
Thanks for always providing challenging caches!

Found with Sweet FA This is the second attempt but this time we had hint from CO. I was staring at it all the time.
Catchng up on some late logs, now that I am supposed to have time since we are on the road travelling.
We are on the road travelling up through central Australia and down the coast of W.A. This is one of the caches we stopped off to grab along the way.
An easy enough find at GZ. Surprised to see locals feeding the feral cats at the rocks. I’m sure this this is no appreciated by the locals.
Thanks for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.

A trip from Mandurah to Geraldton with a few detours for LGAs. TFTC.
A tricky hide. Nice
A tricky hide. Nice
I can solve a Rubiks Cube, I had to learn for a field puzzle cache. Fortunately this cache did not require a cube to be solved. It did take a while to locate the cache though, it was not where I thought it would be.
Out with Guiness12 and GeoDog. Dodging the rain. Wow. What a hide. Got a pic with the dinosaur lol
Found it. TFTC Team Pathfinder. happy to make the find here today, replaced as found.
12.44pm
Visiting Perth from Brisbane to catch up with hubby who is working over here. Today I am on my way to Geraldton after dropping hubby off at the worksite in Dongara.
Stopped here to grab some lunch and noticed a cache nearby. Made my way to GZ via a cube and located the cache quickly. SL then returned as found. Lovely day to be at the beach but too cold for me to swim.
Found on 1 July 2022. TFTC, Ian&Sue - Team Pathfinder.

Checked on our geocache while in town today it is still where it should be and ready to be found
Out for the day with Wollaston taking advantage of the open border. Looked and looked and scratched our heads and looked and looked then a last ditched look and bingo our cache finding eyes were on!
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

Had us stumped for a while and in the process of using a PAF when Bingo, I found it. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird on a quick visit to WA. I’ll leave the more interesting & detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Ian&Sue - Team Pathfinder

Enjoying a long, hot, weekend up in Geraldton Picking up a few caches while here, and even better converting a few previous DNFs into smileys This one has been a DNF for me since all the way back in 2019 so was great to finally put a smiley here! A familiar GZ and again started looking in all the wrong places. But this time I also looked in a couple of new spots that I hadn't even considered previously - and what do you know, there it was I realise now I was making things so much harder for myself here, haha. Very happy to finally make the find here. All ok today, TFTC
TFTH Visiting Geo family here and at the beach for the vacation swimming for the grand kids. Had a quick walk to find the cache before the class started.
After having brekkie with the CO’s, we went to the museum and found this on our way home.
Thanks Ian and Sue ??
Thanks Ian and Sue ??
Got it!! This was tough first time around but our second time (today), our cache radar was spot on!

Great spot! Looked right at it but just ignored until my brother claimed the find 10 mins later hahah TFTC
Up in Gero for work Perentie6x6. Off to Skeetas for dinner thought we would do this cache. Took a bit of time and then we spotted it. Nice hide tftc
Cache was a little tricky but not as tricky as doing a rubiks cube.
My geonephew would love these! He has an app on his phone which shows the moves to take to solve the puzzle.

Got it after a bit of a search. Turdler climbing all over the rocks wasn’t helping

A well hidden cache for such a busy area. An easy find after some CO maintenance.

Damn a no find for me today. Sent a MSG to the CO however I was already on my way when I got a response. I will have to give this one another go another time.
Looked for a good 20 minutes but nothing. Maybe a hint is needed as to what we are looking for.
Find 5 of 29 with fourteen DNFs on a day-long 30km bike ride around Geraldton with not a cloud in the sky. Many more DNFs than we would usually register, this is a tricky town! Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches.
Spent a few minutes searching fruitlessly (and with very little idea!) but then Mr O had a good idea and had the cache in hand. Great hide!

Great hiding spot! Finding, retrieving and running to the car to sign was the easy part. Putting it back while a group of muggles walk past was the hard part
We visited here three times today. The first time we pokes around but got bailed up by Mr Jim Beam on his scooter so left as soon as we could break away. The second time was aborted because muggles were sitting on the seat looking directly at GZ, we just did the look and left. After dinner we tried again and the coast was clear. We found it that time, thank you
Last one for the day, thanks Ian&Sue - Team Pathfinder

Two in a row. oh no!
Our adventure really started a couple of years ago with our cruise booking and the savings plan. This year we arrived Feb 6 and had three days to explore Sydney before cruising with Kteeeee and Mr. Kteeeeee, MissPeach13 and MrPeach13 and WRTagalong. signed CCC. We had a great trip with no cases of Co-vid19. We arrived back to Sydney Mid march. The others flew home. WRT and I continued on. We had some time in Brisbane and then cut our trip short as the virus was causing too many challenges and our Country called us home. We stayed quiet and flew out the 25th arriving to a ghost city in Vancouver.
These caches are only being logged now that I am hooked up to the computer and I can find the caches I missed logging. If I have made an error please let me know if something seems wrong as time has passed and my memory is not what it used to be.
Thank you to all the Aussies who set out these caches, maintained them and to the Aussies who offered us shelter and long term shelter if we could not get home. If I had to be stuck anywhere in the world I would choose Australia!

Didn’t have time to have a proper look as we are off to Kalbarri on a fossicking adventure with our church youth
We will return
We will return
On our way back to Nanna and Grandad after experiencing Antarctica via VR at the museum and was walking by here so thought I'd try our luck. Didn't take too long to find, however I didn't have a pen on me. Sending a photo of the cache to CO as to not provide any spoilers. Tftc
Came back to it second a time and had to really think outside the box. By far was the best Geocache I've had to look for. Definitely here still!
Cache is still in place. This is a sneaky hide with a higher difficulty rating to reflect
DNF this time... tho will have another go next time we've got spare time inbetween the kid's dance classes
Out for an early morning walk before leaving Geraldton. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything here. I guess I'll have to come back to Geraldton sometime then.
Thanks to Miss-Placed for checking on our cache. We have lifted its’ difficulty rating after many DNF’s.
I was in town and checked on this cache today and I am happy to report that it is still indeed in its original location and waiting to be found.
I couldn’t find this one to start with so I thought I would come back and try again boom found it first go
No joy here for me today either so adding to the list of DNFs! Assuming it’s still there maybe the difficulty rating should be higher?
