A bit wet… OK very wet, but a good find nun the less. The log was unsignable sadly
Find 528 for the tribe
Gosh picked the wrong outfit for this one! Read the cache description! As it says in the description, a crazy bushbash up the hill from the parking waypoint. Long pants if I did it again!
How could such a cache be difficulty 1.0? But it made sense at GZ. Cache was full of water and therefore log is unsignable. Took photo evidence if required. A really nice spot.
Decided not to return down the slope but headed upwards instead. That had its own issues which tended to be a bit spikier but not so moist!
All in all a senstional big cache, a lot of fun! Thanks for the cache!

In the area for a few days. Had to get this one. Walked up from Frederick to GZ, then realised it was another 15-20m up, or 5m past a very big dead tree, on the rock face. Log very wet. Reckon it could do with a container in a container in the big container. TFTC Jamusi. Great spot.
Found the cache super quick once I got to gz, but the tell in was more difficult than I had expected. Definitely wouldn't recommend thongs! Cache was full of water and log soaked so couldn't sign.
An awesome spot though. Thanks

Once I read about the middens near gz I *had* to attempt this one.
Not every cache invites you to connect with thousands of years of human history.
Then I see it's a large hide and a unique d/t rating. What's not to love?!
With one hour to sunset I made a gruelling run from Hyam's.
Recent rain made the dry bed wet and tricky to navigate.
The gas told me I was 3m from gz for about a 50m sq search area.
Eventually I honed in on a likely spot and made the find.
I picked up some scratches and a leech on the way but was glad to secure the find.
Not one for the kiddies or folks with a bad hip but fortunately a find and an fp this time from me.

Well this was a bit of fun! Saw this was a large sized cache, in fact the only one in my list that I could see that was unfound, so it had to be done! I wasn't expecting it to be as hard as it was though! On the map it looks to be just hidden in suburbia between a couple streets, but what I found was much more than that!
I parked on the bend, which was a little bit hard as there isn't much room to pull off, but managed it OK and headed through the rainforest! It was a big trudge through, with the ground thick of plants and branches, and the ferns coming up to my knees, each step was a risk I took as I couldn't see what was beneath! Climbed over a fallen tree or two, and some rocks, before finally reaching the bottom of a VERY wet cliff! Couldn't believe how wet everything was given everywhere else I had visited was quite dry!
Took me ages to find this cache, about 20 minutes, but then when I spotted it I slapped my forehead so hard, it is so obvious lol!
The cache was once again swimming in water, but thankfully the inner container kept the log dry, phew! Shame you can't put any swaps in the large container though as they will just sit in a puddle..... oh well!
This was a really fun experience and a great spot for a cache, definitely earned the terrain though, it wasn't easy!

I committed to a day of caching in Sanctuary Point, Vincentia and Huskisson. Ended up finding two-dozen caches with only one DNF! Very happy to have had a successful day down here. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for their contributions to this recreational activity.
This experience was certainly not what I expected.

After reading the logs, Dan went alone to attempt this cache.
Why did he do it? Was it his vanity to attempt a difficult cache. Was it to prove to himself that he could still cope with a bushbash? Or did Sue want him to keep busy and stop him from drinking too much?
Back to the cache, there was an awkward bushbash up a hill for about 10-15 minutes. Awkward because the footing was loose due to the undergrowth. There were many sticks, branches and vines trying to trip you. The etrex played up in this terrain. However, it didn't take too long to get to GZ. A 30m section of cliff needed to be inspected and the cache was soon found. Unfortunately there were many muggles! A hundred mossies descended upon me and a couple of leeches found there way into my boots. Contents of the cache were still wet despite the last finders help. The logsheets couldn't be written on. I added a small container with a new logsheet. Hope it remains waterproof. The way back was easier, as I could see theroad and could pick the best path to follow.
A total of 30 minutes for this cache. The mossies followed me to the car, and some got into the car. I drove with all the windows down to flush them out.
Was it worth it? To me, yes. But it certainly wouldn't suit a lot of people. TFTC

Found the cache about 25m further up the hill from gz. Great spot for the cache and earns a favourite. Container was half full of water and contents were saturated. Removed one old logbook that was mouldy and smelly, remaining bits of paper difficult to sign. Replaced container upside down to see if that keeps the water out.
Well that was a bit of fun! Needed to get out after a week stuck inside a classroom and this cache was very much called for. Good fun pushing through the ferns and even more fun heading back down in failing light. Reminded me of the days we used to hike through ferns on Dartmoor and guaranteed you'd be pickled in ticks afterwards. Hopefully I got away with it today, but I probably won't know for a day or two! TFTC!

One thing I hate is not being able to see where I'm planting my feet. For a good 20 minutes I had no idea where I was treading, or what I was stepping on. Slowly but surely I headed up through the brush. An early morning start but still plenty of humidity in the air. Reading some earlier logs, appears GZ is a little out, so armed with this information and an odd photo, it didn't take too long to find the cache.
Some interesting rock formations and some wonderful views back down the hill through what I would call a jungle. Cache contents a little wet, emptied what I could before signing, replacing, taking a few snaps, and heading back down towards the geomobile.
TNLNSL TFTC. Favourite added for the adventure

The walk was extremely difficult on the way up, but we got there. GPS wasn’t working at all so took us longer than expected. By the time we got to the top, it was already dark. Another 20 min to find it and we finally hit the jackpot. A stunning area and it was great to see where my family originated from.
The trip back down, we followed the water. Literally walking along the bed. It was even harder, being dark and having a lot of large holes and ledges. Sliced myself open on several plants (those things are SHARP) and accidentally grabbed some sort of bug that gave a very very nasty bite- please do be very careful.
There was 3 logs- the MLP one was soaking wet and rusty, the one in the bag was soaking wet and mouldy. The 3rd was perfectly dry. Emptied the inch of water out of the cache and replaced it- however we didn’t leave anything (as it was so wet and we didn’t want to make it worse)
It was a lot of fun and we will def be back!

Wow, what a fantastic adventure.
Definitely a long pants job.
Cache was 12m from gv. Cache was also very wet, I can see why because of its location. I would suggest moving it to a better location. Geokid lost pencil ️ on our journey so could not sign log.
Cheers for the cache

Took a while and got a couple of battle scars on the way but we got there in the end
That was pretty tough going... but good fun!
As per previous logs, log book is in bad shape. Had a spare snaplock bag so left it with a fresh sheet of paper.

Found it. Amazing location right in our backyard. Cache is full of water couldn't sign log as was drenched. Photo provided.
After much time of searching, we almost gave up. Coordinateas were out but we eventually found it. Unfortunatly we were unable to log it as all cache was drenched. Have a photo if required. TFTC.
Found with nissan 65 and shrimp92. This cache had us bush bashing and creek hopping lucky we had good boots on. Found cache after quiet a bit of searching. Gps had us here and there not surprising with all the trees around. Cache container was very wet and we were unable to sign the log we took photos if required. Pretty little spot but you do need to check for leeches . A pair of long pants is advisable Thankyou for the adventure.
Bush bashing through dense terrian with cullum68 and shrimp92 at one stage could not see where shrimp92 had gone then she popped her head up log soaked unable to sign have pic if required thanks for the cache
We are down on the coast for a couple of days, so better squeeze in a couple of caches . The weather was fantastic, especially considering last weeks storms! Found with SuzieQau and her Dad. This one was found relatively easily, after about a 100m bush bash! Nice little spot. Thanks Jamusi.
This looked like a good mini adventure so we parked close and headed over. Nice spot and after a short hunt made the find. Unfortunately as the others have mentioned the log is wet and not signable. Can the CO please do some maintenance. TFTC
Underestimated the terrain and was thus under dressed. Anyway, TFTC, it was great. Photo evidence was necessary...
That was an adventure.

Wow, this was a great walk, tough and the reward was in the find. It took two attempts but we made it. TFTC Jamusi
Well worth the climb, it is a magic place. Just take your time and be careful. TFTC
Bit of a trek up. Iphone GPS thrown out by rocks. Looked at photos to get an idea of where it was. Had to climb higher. Long pants would have been a good idea. Nice spot once you get up there. TFTC!!
Found this a few months but forgot to log it. The GPS's were acting up so we were running around a lot but in the end we got to the right area and it was definitely one of my favourite cache locations ever. The scenery was insanely cool. TFTC!
#purpleelephant #blackpanther Found it finally, GPS was about 40m out and can't see any type of shrine or alter??
Would never have guessed this scrub was out here in Vincentia! Good walk, great cache spot! Thanks!
I placed a moving cache within!

Reckon it was worthy of 4 stars for the trek up...nice spot, thanks for taking us there
Thanks for the cache found it with earthly 65 bit of a climb didnt c the middens
Found at 1:35 PM GAFF1at a distance of 8 metres which is very good in this type of location. So this is a story where you think it is not that far into the bush, but then as you go deeper and deeper it just leads you on to go further and further until you suddenly see the structure about 80 metres away and realise - yep - that's where I have to go [xx(]
I had a pretty good idea of where the cache was going to be, but suddenly when I looked up I saw the "shrine" - ahhh so sweet that it wasn't a micro or something stupid like that in these conditions [^]
Very nicely placed, weighted and rated for that matter
Gets a favourite from us for that!
Thanks Jamusi.
PS: If anyone finds a camera in a black case at hte parking location, it is ours. Please give us a call

Difficult bush scramble through new growth bracken ferns.
Found logs container. BUT half full of water. Paper log ruined as were other enclosed items
Replaced log's container with new paper and pencil- placed inside Plastic sistema box and ziplock plastic bag.
Lid of container may be difficult to remove; I reduced the weights in the container too as it was too heavy to remove safely.
Couldn't determine why container fills with water as it seems to be watertight.

Beautiful spot. Thanks for showing us this secret little place. Log is wet, didn't have any spares with us.

The log is very wet.
Found while in Vincentia with relbot. This wad published a few days after we left here last year - so were the rest of the unfound caches out here. A short walk from home, up the street to the dry creek. Then the challenge started! Without good accuracy, we bashed through the bushes being aware of snake possibilities. Climbed over logs and went under sone, then we were around 10m from the co-ords. Because of tree cover, we loked around the usual spots and found nothing - below and above the rocky platform. Then after reading logs saying it was 20m up the hill further, the large container was spotted in plain sight. A quick climb and retrieve. But the container was filled with water and the contents were soaked. There is a rock in there as well which was being eroded and the deposits were going everywhere. So we took a photo of the container instead to show that we were there. A beautiful spot that was lovely to visit. TNLNSL. TFTC!
An easy find once at GZ, though our GPSr initially had us about 20m away, and if we hadn't climbed just a little higher, we would never have got there! A beautiful spot, with water dripping along the escarpment and the sound of the birdlife. Shame the cache was half full of water, but that is what you get when placing it in the location it is in. Signed a gum leaf and added it to the cache, after draining the water of course! Thanks Jamusi for the cache

Beautiful view of ferns on the climb. Cache in plain sight once in GZ. Only downside- ticks! TFTC
Found with CJ this morning whilst on the way through Jervis Bay..........and of course some more local caches.
We've been wanting to get down back here to visit for some time and do the nearby caches after visiting friends. The nearby fires have been concerning although the nearby fires seem to be contained for the time being.
Thankfully no muggles were around the waypoint, although we needed to park well back from these coords. The cache coords were excellent and we both spotted the cache as a little distance off from the GZ. Very clever and we soon had the cache in hand.
The contents and log are completely soaked into mushy pulp. Recent cachers have placed new log paper in a zip lock bag, but that is also kaput and this was wet as well. We did manage to scrawl out our log and drained the container.
Anyway, it was a great day to chase down more southern caches. Thanks Jamusi for your cache. SL TNLN TFTC

A great adventure with two enthusiastic caching friends. I certainly would not attempt this scrambling adventure by myself.
The prize was definitely special as implied in the description.
RR was the first to spot the prize and also found another way to descend. So pleased she was all intact.
Plenty of laughs and left a star to shine. Unfortunately the log was too wet to sign.
Thanks for the adventure and to ROckhopper and Riveruner for a fun afternoon.

I teamed up with Wandering Stars and Rock-hopper this afternoon to tackle this cache. Our GPS's all showed different distances & directions once we were under the trees so we spread out calling out our locations as we went. Once we zeroed in on one spot, we all gave it a thorough search & came up empty handed. Then something further up the hill caught my eye. I scrambled up a further 20 mts to finally have the CIH. The cache is water logged and needs maintenance immediately ! The log was unsignable so I left a 'RiverRuners Found It' sticker. Thanks for the adventure !
Teamed up with WS and RR, donned our anti-snake gear, and together we tackled the bush-bash up the hill. With GPS's useless with the tree and cloud cover we actually overshot what we thought was GZ, bashed back down to a 7mt accuracy spot, found nothing, then followed RR's hunch to venture further. The cache soon loomed large, in a very pretty spot.
We loved the adventure, but unfortunately the cache needs some TLC. The log is just mush and impossible to sign.
Then it was on to coffee and donuts at Vincentia to celebrate!
TFTC Jamusi!

Finally got up to this cache. Spectacular spot. Despite living here most of my life I had never explored this little pocket of tranquility. Didn't sign log as it was swimming in a soggy mess. Left a dinosaur to swim too.
Would be great to see this replaced with a more watertight container as this is an awesome cache.

Fantastic location, and our toughest climb yet! We learnt a few lessons with this one, first being to check the log notes before setting off on the trek, and second was to wear the right gear - shorts and thongs are a no-no for this one. The terrain was hard going, with plenty of scratches and a few cuts scored for our efforts... we climbed following the GPS, umm... it may have been easier (or least painful anyhow) if we'd followed the main water track up. It sure made it easier coming back down We spotted a couple of Owls amidst the wildlife - that was a first, and definite highlight. The cache looked quite cool perched up there, though somehow everything in the container was entirely soggy and slimy. We almost adopted the soggy one-legged doll, but nah, not her lucky day! TFTC
The trekking uphill was hard going for some, but I believe that it was the easier route than the gully. Brave was so excited to see the cammo proudly perched where it was expected to be, that she let the branch she was holding slap Princess in the face. The log is wet, slimy, and turning to mush. Emptied the container of a small amount of water. Started a new log in another snap lock bag for future finders. Hope it stays dry. SL, TN, Left log. TFTC Jamusi.
Yup found it. Right there, right were it was described, although more in the shade of one of the large trees than the other.
So being an Alpha type cacher, parked in the middle of the gully on the road below and did the Indiana Jones style route through he reeds, ferns, rocks, cliff, fallen logs, soggy water fall thing with a large dead tree to scramble/climb over, deadly pygmie tribe type thing.
Smack between the two large gums was a waterfall, not too big, but pretty wet. Searched all the little nooks and crannies, falling over the wet slippery slime covered rock trying to tippy toe on tall rocks to get extra height. After 20 minutes gave up and started a decent. Noticed that there was a deeper gully to one side, Stopped turned around and looked up the steeper gully and saw the cache from 30 meters away.
Yup it is there, nice size. In plain view, and it was not going anywhere due to being absolutely full of water. Lucky I had my geopen which can still write on soggy, slimy, stinky log books.
Tell you what, if it was not so wet and soggy I prob would have given it a fav point.
Oh took the easy way out by following the obvious route.
Thanks Jamusi, even if I now have bloody scratched legs (wearing shorts)

I've been away from the area for a while now with some injuries, but I should be able to check it out sometime in the next couple of weeks. Until then I would recommend people not go out of their way to find this one until I've posted a maintenance note. Thanks!
I read the previous comment, checked when the owner last logged on & decided to give it a miss.
Major disappointment, tramped and struggled and sweated to get to gz, searched and searched to no avail. We thought we could see where a cache would most likely be given the hint and previous logs but there just wasn't a cache. we wondered if it had been moved for maintenance? Great location pity we came away without a smiley.
Came with Toadmeister7. Is not exactly wheelchair friendly but don't believe it to be a 4 terrain either. Great location though but the contents were wet.
woody figtree and I walked to the parking area and then headed uphill to GZ. A nice piece of bush bashing and we were at the base of the rocks and yes it is obvious once you get there. Log is unfortunately saturated ( i think due to a crack in the lid ) but we found a small section of dry area within the log book. Thanks to Jamusi for this cache.
A wet morning had me at a not so dry river bed today. Worked my way around through the also wet scrub to arrive at the "first waterfall". Searched for a couple of minutes and re read the description to find out about the white gum! Wrong GZ, had to move about 25 meters to find the obvious cache in a great spot! maybe a ammo can would be the best option here? The log is still soaking wet!

Great spot but the hide has a water problem. Found with J+J.au and we took a picture of the log book which only had FTF on it. Everything inside cache was underwater. Unable to sign logbook.
What a beautiful spot, and yes it's very snakey, but we didn't see any today and didn't get leeched. The cache was full of water, the log book is soaked, unable to sign, took picture. , you will need to maybe to do something as this will be an on going problem. TNUnable to sign. TFTC
Hooray. First t find. Wow. What a beautiful spot. I have lived nearby for 40 years and never knew this was here. The waterfall was working and I got soaked. GPS was about 20 m out. Very cloudy today but your description helped. Water has got into cache but log is dry. Took white rabbit. Left a bear in the woods. Thanks for bringing me here. Tftc
