### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###
----------
Hi there lionjrb,
This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention. You would have received an automated email from Geocaching HQ recently which explained what needs to be done.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so I am having to take the next step and temporarily disable the cache - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) .
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Also took us 20 minutes of searching. Maybe it’s gone. Or maybe the hint is wrong. We shall return.
Two of us searched for 20 minutes but no avail.
Found a small plastic green helicopter but that was it.
The dead seal nearby was a little on the nose...

Well my compass was playing up a bit here and I marched up and down a bit, (Which must have looked a bit odd to the nearby surfers). Kicked a few rocks and muttered to myself a lot but to no avail. so thanks for the scenic spot and good view of Lawrence Rock, cheers bmtc18.
A shame we couldn’t find this one after a lovely stop for lunch! We turns over lots of rocks and went through lots of bushes but no luck this time!
A lovely rocky stroll along the beach... beautiful weather for it too.. nice little hide.. TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 0930. Now we understand the cache name. Just wonderful to hear the sound of the waves, to listen to the rhythmic pulse of the timeless ocean. A large ship on the horizon, and smaller fishing craft added to the movement everywhere. A hint of wattle near the parking spot, and those incredible polished and washed stones everywhere. We'd love a truckload for our garden. Enjoyed the walk and the constantly changing colours of sky and water. A FP. Our thanks to lionjrb.
More in a bush than under a rock! A lovely view over the black rocks and clear water
Nice walk along the beach and the rocks here, a few people around but not too many. GZ coords were spot on and the cache was easily spotted, even if not where the cache description suggested it should be. Took the opportunity to skip a few rocks along between waves here, nice selection to choose from.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Well that gave us a run for our money!
The tide was in so needed to walk over rocks for a small distance... Least they were small and smooth.
Eventually found it after looking under any possible feature rock.
However was NOT spotted under a rock, but under the woody part of a plant.
So after signing the log, replaced it where we found it.
The co ords were rather accurate.
The weather was starting to change after a lovely week end.
So we high tailed it off the beach.

Driving around this magnificent coastline we get the added bonus of all the different scenes as we pick up the lonely trads with a VIEW. After negotiating the best place to park the car we made the walk along the beach watching a tourist boat pass us by. The cache was found easily and in good condition.
Thanks lionjrb for the placement.

Caching with Aussie Mark(better half), mogni, brisal5 (and muggle wife Sally), muff1, CP etc, etc...., when we made this find. TFTC lionjrb
Venturing over the border with Mogni and Aussie M&M to attend the 8 months to Mega event in Portland. Numerous other SA cachers had the same idea and we met up with them and a few Vics at the event and set out en masse to grab a few caches. [^] Don't be mistaken, this was not spontaneous. A group of us had been planning several of these cache attempts for months prior.
Wow, a beach of polished black rocks. A few kilos of those would look good in my garden. But I am here for something else. They proved to be more strenuous than walking an actual beach. cache located and signed. The few local fisherman must gave wondered what all the cars and people were doing. Thanks lionjrb

Found with a large group of SA cachers,
caching around Portland before dinner & driving back to Mt Gambier.
A lovely beach, although a little rainy here today.

A great time finding caches with the '8 months to the event at Alexandra' crew. Beautiful views TFTC
Out with a great group of South Australian Geocachers. We started with four cars but most didn't have faith with my directions and pulled up short or should I say high.
Thanks for bringing us to a lovely location

Found with a large group of South Aussie cachers who were in Portland for the caching ...... and todays event!! Lovely views!!
found after the 8 Months to the event in Alexandra - Portland event in Victoria. With a group of cachers. Nice walk along the rocks to this one.
We were privileged to be part of a large contingent of cachers from SA who had come to Mexico for the local event. Some of us parked at the top and some of us parked at the bottom but we came together to walk along this stoney beach to the cache. Even through there are signs saying no driving on the beach there were signs that cars had been on the beach and also there were vehicle tracks along the stones. By the time we reached this cache the rains had stopped for the time being. SL TFTC
A short stroll from the car park st the bottom and the cache was easily located.
Thanks for the cache lionjrb. Found on 11 Mar 2017 at 6:02 pm. Find #4041.

After parking our car we enjoyed the walk along the foreshore. The sea was reasonably calm today but we could imagine what it would be like with an easterly blow. After a short hunt, the cache was located. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks lionjrb for the cache and for bringing us to a lovely area.
A much easier find than I anticipated! While the rest of the family are fishing on this Australia Day long weekend, I'm hunting for treasures! Glad I found this one. TFTC
Started walking to GZ with Dad to show him geocaching. Unfortunately at 166m out the phone dropped out. So despite walking far more than 166m it kept saying 166m.
So this was more a "could not search" than a DNF.
I really need to get a GPS!!
tftc.
The rest of the family went swimming

We pulled up with SuperPop here to find another car parked with people sitting inside and thought that they may be other geocachers but it turns out that they were just down there to walk their dog.
We headed off towards gz in a blustery wind that made the surf look spectacular.
Once there the cache was located quickly and our names were added to the log.
Thanks lionjrb for the cache.

I got lucky this time, the cache seems to have moved again and I almost tripped over it before I bothered to get the GPS out of my bag.

Wow what a wicked beach! Found with son Caliaf, his friend Tyler, our dog Banjo & me. We had a ball here exploring the rockpools. So many colourful starfish. Saw a koala on way here. Took eraser, hair clip, & Lego piece. Left LGM toy story keyring, tribal face magnet, & wooden elephant magnet. Very enjoyable geocache!
Abandond search, after enjoying the wander in along the beach.
On arriving at the GZ had a scan just above the high water mark looking for probable hides; was not impressed by what slithered away on turning over the first rock.
Enjoyed our walk along beach back to our car.

I visited this cache on day 1 after work and having missed the FTF I elected not to sign the log to save it for a special day when I wanted a souvenir or something special as I have few if any caches within a half hour's drive of home.
After many opportunities being taken by other occurrences this lived a long long life until I returned today expecting an easy find, but no such luck the area around GZ has changed quite a bit in the nearly 3 years since it was published and there is a what looks to be well used 4WD track within a metre of where the cache used to be.
Sadly after an extensive search of the area around my indicated and GZ and my memory of where it used to be and trying to account for some cache creep I couldn't find this cache to claim my EOY souvenir

I broke a few nails on rocks looking for this one. Luckily, those same rocks were perfect for filing the rest of my nails down. TFTC!
795th Cache Find We were in Portland for the weekend for geodaughters solo dance competitions who came away with a trophy & placed 2nd. It was now time to head back home to Mount Gambier as geomum has work & geokiddies have school. Geodad has one last day with us as he heads back to Melbourne for work. We pulled up as close as we could to GZ, love driving along with the beach just by your side. All jumped out & went for a stroll. Geodad finds this one, its always a race but geomum generally has the gps & so I don't get much of a chance but nice to watch my partner & kids all looking together. The journey home is always who found the most for the day. TFTC
I was in Portland for the day to do some caching. I drove right to the end, I had to drive carefully in the 2WD. The walk along the beach was enjoyable, the vast amount of rocks was amazing. The beach was muggle free, so I started my search. After about 5 minutes or so, I eventually found the cache. Just as I was signing the log, a couple came around the corner, so I had to wait for them to pass before returning the cache. TFTC lionjrb and for bringing me to this beautiful beach.
This one had us hunting for about 20 minutes! While one of us stayed persistant, the other made rock castles! gorgeous area, the 4x4 made it easier to access, but we still enjoyed playing around in the rock pools like big kids!
Quite a difficult find. Took me and my fellow cachers a while. Jnoonie even found a good pumice stone
Left hubby and kids on beach. Son was in water within 5min. Muggles nearby searching for shells. I was searching for rocks!! Was honing in on the location of cache when more people turned up and I was asked "are you geocaching?" Met new cachers, Tam27. Taught them about Geocoins and travelbugs, and showed them ours. Oh, found the cache too. Lol
After a lengthy search we finally located this one. Replaced where we found it
Our GPS took us to a place we were not allowed to enter so we had to find our own way to Crumpet Beach. Luckily we saw a sign and drove to within 250 metres of the cache. After a walk that involved sand, rocks and then a grass track we arrived at GZ and the container was soon found. Thanks.
A short tour of the GSWW this morning with The Morris and BettyBoo3747. The day started off windy, and became windier! Fortunately, it was a tail wind for our walk.
We drove down to the start of the beach, parked and walked its length figuring the cache would be in the wooden lookout at the other end - not so! We walked a bit further around on the rolling rocks to GZ.
The waves were crashing onto the beach, we declined a dip today.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 6873. A sunny but extremely windy day here in town but a cliff top walk was the order of the morning. Robmc, The Morris and I rugged up and headed out to find some more caches and add some smiles.
The first of the day - time to acclimatise - wind, windy, windier - was the way it went today. We strolled along the rocky foreshore to GZ where Rob made a fairly quick find. Cache looked in good condition so dropped off a TB (Versailles), to continue its journey.
Thanks lionjrb

Found on our long weekend in the Portland area. This morning's plan was to walk along the coast collecting the caches long the way.
This was our first for the day and we took a pair of thongs and a couple of rocks.

Not in a 4 wheel drive so did not drive close. Walked it on a cold windy morning. I wonder how many round stones are on that beach?

On a bumpy bike ride around Danger Point and Cape Sir William Grant I liked the sound of some Crumpet
And after bouncing down the hill and along the pebbly track I abandoned pushbike and set off on foot !!
Ah !! Crumpets !! These rocks are tuff stuff to walk on [:o]
At GZ and accompanied by horse flies (ah crumpets !!), I searched around for a likely rock to hide a cache under
I didn't have to look far for suitable candidates .....
..... rocks, rocks, rocks, rocks everywhere [:o]
So I looked for the one that looked like a crumpet
You know !! The one that had lots of holes in it
And after a fizzy can of cola and about forty minutes, and forty horse fly bites later, I found the cache just before giving up
A great place to spend a while on a cool and sunny day though [^]
Lawrence Rocks look pretty spectacular from this vantage point !!
No whales seen
TFTC.
And for those who follow in my scrunchy footsteps, the coords were pretty good today.
Just a scant 4 or 5 metres out
So there is hope for a 'smilie'
