Archiving this location due to the redevelopment of the Barton Highway. Thanks to all who visited the original cache when it was availble.
A nice quick little drive by. I rather enjoy this type of cache. My tree climbing days are well behind me! Thanks Rapidlywild for placing the cache here .. and a perfect parking space too .. unless it was school oclock of course!
Very dangerous as it points to middle of road, there was a person who moved it but no update on safer location
From the photos in the gallery, it appears to be sitting on someones desk, and there is no longer a guardrail within the immediate vicinity of GZ - I stopped and checked!
Day #1 of 2 [7/5/23]
With four geo-events in Canberra, I decided on heading over to join with some of the fun. Unfortunately, I couldn’t join in with the Saturday events. However, that didn’t stop me with the fun and very wet Sunday events. On my way over to Canberra, I found two caches along the way. Next was breakfast at Macca’s before heading off to the CITO. A different type of CITO to attend. Next, I did some caching around Aranda Bushland to find some of the caches around the area. Morning Tea went down a treat and before the lunch time event a group of us went and found a couple of caches. Then the rain and hail came down which made getting to the lunchtime event interesting. A nice fun and wet Star Wars day event before heading off to the next set of caches with another small group of us. Toy Hunters, Sebass19 and myself then headed off to lunch and afterwards parted ways. Due to the amount of rain over the afternoon, I decided not to head out again for more caching.
TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found, for allowing them to bring enjoyment to the Geocaching community. TFTE’s and TFTC’s!

Myself and Ksfrmdsbshr decided to come and do a few caches this afternoon, this was out last one for the day. Can't believe how long it's been since the last find on this one. Thanks for the fun

A nice little drive just up the road to complete yet another daily for the streak to stay alive. TFTC
While still based at Yass we meandered around different localities finding caches. Yours was one we targetted and found. Our thanks to Rapidlywild for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

After another wonderful but epic Christmas Day at Kippax, we are dashing to Wagga for our midnight Christmas night feast with the family.
After a couple distractions from other possible caches MuggleGeorge and I finally found ourselves here. The need for some precarious parking and delicate manoeuvring made this a little more tricky than the park and grab I was hoping for, but I soon had the cache signed, and we were back on our way.
Thanks for the Christmas Cache!

Some more country caching happened today with ilook4geo. It was another pleasant day for a drive and we found this cache without any problem. Our thanks go to Rapidlywild for placing this cache to help us explore the area. The log was duly signed and put back as it had been found.
This cache was found, along with goingplaces2, after just a short search. The log had two more names added before we moved on again. Thanks for the cache.
No one out guarding this one today, snuck in grabbed it and out again.
All is good with it. Found it easy, stamped it, replaced it and now have logged it.
Thanks for this cache Rapidlywild, Lil Donna

Could only achieve this by parking on the opposite side of the road and waiting a while for a gap in traffic. TFTC
Found this cache during an epic three days at the mega event in clearwaters.
TFTC and placing this cache for our enjoyment.
This was a huge day for me - starting at 0430 and finishing at 1000 with 105 finds

A quick trip to the wineries and picked up a couple along the roadway - dodging manic drivers !!

Even at this time of night (11pm) I still had to wait for a gap in the traffic. Then it was a quick scurry across to find and sign the log. Another one in the guard series ticked off (7/20). This was daily cache #266. TFTC

I parked in a side street a little distance away and walked to GZ. Once there I quickly had CIH. Log signed and everything was replaced as found. Then back to the car. TFTC.
Had an itching to get out this morning and pick up a few caches.
So I thought that if I headed out early I could avoid some of the heat, but by 9am it was 28 degrees, so I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked.
I have passed this cache so many times. It is one of the busiest roads I know. I parked across the road at the recommended parking spot, but even at 7am on school holidays this road is busy. But a quick find, so I wasn’t there long. Tftc Rapidlywild!!!

I wasn't sure when I would find the time to find a cache today, I just needed one for a challenge I'm working on but my work allowed no free time from whoa to go and then evening plans wiped that idea as well. As luck would have it, super efficient pays off and I was given a (payed!) early mark!!! Perfect I had just the time needed to get to a close by cache and onto my next work appointment of the day.
I have been wanting to stop for this one for a while but always seems to be too much traffic or not enough time. Today I didn't have that much time but there didn't seem to be much traffic either. Although I did stand on the side of the road for quite a while waiting for that gap in both direction when it came it was clear for ages. Managed a quick sign and replace and back across the road in the same gap I crossed in. Nice! Thanks for the cache Rapidlywild.

Found out with Kittykatch on our way to the Clearwaters event. Beautiful day to be out and about. Quick find but should have parked down the road a bit. TFTC
A day trip to Canberra to attend the event, and pick up some caches along the way.
The weather was supposed to be very hot, but the clouds moved in and the day was beautiful.
Cache located, log signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Rapidlywild, for us and others to find.

Left home this morning at 4 am, main goal was doing 3 cito's, but the time in between had to be filled as well. As the weather was looking fine I decided to take the bike and attack another lot of the centennial trail caches. Made good progress in the hours before the first cito at 10 am and happy to haver done the series and a few extra caches on the way!

Taking advantage of the break in weather I've headed north to explore the pretty countryside.
A quick find in good condition overlooking what I would almost describe as a mansion. Someone certainly did the right thing farming.

We approached this cache from the wrong end, had another look on our return journey, was a little difficult to retrieve, but we forged on with success.
This one was really funny. We tried for this one going the other way but were caught in a stream of traffic and decided discretion was the better part of valour. On the way back, we parked on the other side of the road, easily (sort of!!) - and TravelGran was out of the Rav and across the road at high speed. I wasn't as nifty and had to wait for ages for a clear run. By this time, TravelGran had located the container but, in her haste, managed to push it further in where she couldn't reach it. Traffic was whizzing by within inches! Anyway, with TOTs and a team effort, it was retrieved, signed, treasure deposited and put gently back. Thanks for the test.
Best to get travelling south. Parking is easier. Tftc. We must nearly have done all the guards now.
I made a late decision to go for a lobby caching road trip today, but boot wanting to go into the busy CBD of Sydney i instead chose to go into the remote regions via the great southern road.
These scattered drive by caches along country roads are much more enjoyable to find than many micros.
Thanks for the cache.

Today ended up being such a varied day, with an event, a mob find, multi, then a bunch of highway park and grabs, culminating in a puzzle at the end.
Funny thing was that only the event was planned, but I did about 20 today as i was 'passing'.
This was seventeenth for the day. Originally I was going to do this northbound, but you will see that is not possible when you get to GZ. No real problem doing via southbound

Set about collecting all the caches along the road north to Yass today - found 20 of 21 targeted.
This was going to have been my first for the day as I headed north, but the lack of safe parking space meant it had to wait for the return leg. Good old guard caches. TFTC Rapdilywild

Found with nissan 65 on a few days away caching. Log signed and returned to its hiding place. Thankyou for the cache .
Wednesday 6 December 2017 - an overcast damp Summer afternoon in the low 20s. MuggleHusband drove around to keep Nonna occupied while I jump out of the car at each stop to find 11 from 11 caches. The highway was extremely busy so we quit before anyone got hurt to come back another day to find the rest along this stretch.

Wondering back home after the Alexandra event. 2882 so far for us. Thanks for placing this cache Rapidlywild, without cachers like you we wouldn't have a hobby. Signed log. took nothing, left nothing. Please take a bow. we did many caches today and most if not all were in good condition and actually there. We cache in a lot of country towns, the caches on the open roads are usually there but the town ones are a mixed bag. The cache owners around here take a bow. really well done.
Had to do a car swap in Canberra today so made the most of my time alone and did some caching on the long way home.
Quick find here today inbetween gaps in the traffic travelling home after a long weekend. Happy to tick off a few more of these today.

Headed out with DarksideDan for a few caches in Yass on a frosty Saturday morning. 6 hours later we had gorgeous warm weather, 40 caches under our belts and a fabulous lunch at the cafe in town. A great morning out getting some numbers with lots of laughs and a few interesting bird sightings on the way. Unless otherwise stated, caches found quickly and in good order.

Can you say road trip. Today I headed out with AG27 to go on a caching road trip to Yass. Together we collected 40 caches. I took some excellent photos and had a stunning lunch. Thanks heaps for the cache.

A quick find along the highway on my way to Canberra! After only a few finds in Victoria/New South Wales, there were heaps on the fringe of the Australian Capital Territory and I determined to get as many as I could before the cold and rain took hold. Thanks for the cache, Rapidlywild.

Hmm a rare weekend indeed - one where I didn't have anywhere I had to drive to ... except to find my daily cache - lol
It was nearly Sunset by the time I got around to jumping in the car and heading out - I had decided to grab a couple up here - I ended up grabbing 3 (nearly done a year now, shouldn't need to save too many more for later, and the original reason I decided to do a streak for "maybe a month or 2 if I can keep it up that long" was to find more caches
TFTC - drove past 2 and parked near the 3rd one and found that first, then back to another, then this one ... I slowed down and worked out where it was on my way out, but of course I somehow managed to forget that on the way back and parked at the wrong end ... lol
Was getting dark by the time I found this (amazing how much time seems to vanish while finding a cache or 3 and exploring places/taking a few photos) but nice easy find ... handy flat spot nearby to do the signing/etc too

Like a maccas run, doing a caching run along the Barton hwy to yass, collecting as many caches as humanly possible. This was one of the most dangerous caches I've done for awhile, crossing Barton hwy proved dangerous on a weekday at around 3.30pm. Challenging! Tftc.
Found this cache at 1.20pm while in Yass for the weekend and picking up some caches along the Barton Highway and doing the Endangered Species PT. Lots of traffic today.

Penultimate day of the Southern NSW Lounge About with BettyBoo3747.
Departed Canberra for Beechworth. Not a lot of caches today, just enough for BB to get her 3 states challenge.
Number nine, number nine, number nine........
We figured we must be out of the state by now - this should be good for NSW.
This was our last guard for this trip, but we will return.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 10500. A sad day today. It is Easter Monday and after our three weeks holiday we are leaving Canberra for home. I do hope we come back soon as there is still so much to do and see. The plan is for me to pick up caches in 3 states today to complete a Challenge in Victoria. Mission accomplished.
The last of the guards for us today. We overshot it and returned - parking was so much easier the second time around. Now we really must get back into the stream of traffic and get some kms under the tyres.
Thanks Rapidlywild

Found with the WEEO on a great caching day. OK, so we really should have parked on the east bound side of the road, felt a bit like an accident waiting to happen where we parked, but TFTC.
That was a bit tricky, only for getting through the traffic. Another done from the Guard series. TFTC Rapidlywild.

After a great weekend in Canberra it was time for me to leave, so on the way out I grabbed a couple of caches that were easily accessed like this one Thanks for the fun Rapidlywild
Saturday had arrived and the sun was out-so I decided to make the most of it and nab some more caches in Yass as well as several others on the way
FINALLY I've got this b@$&*%d!!! Tried to make the nab on this one years ago when first published-but aborted the mission as there was a massive huntsman spider right at GZ! And after that I have wizzed right by ever since and it's bugged me!
So today I decided to stop and make the collect. Easy nab in between traffic. I crouched down behind the structure whist scribbling the log before the stash and dash back to the car.
