Second last one while in the area and neat fitting hide. The old sign is just that, but all is good with the cache. Log signed and I was off to view the rattlers...Thanks for another UltimateGeoCacheTeam.
Found by caughtatwork on 01/11/2024 at 9:56:00 AMA quick find at this location while I parked the car for a stroll and some caching.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
21 September 2024 @2:31pmFound in good condition with catnap777.Ok we were going to give the horses a carrot each but the bag was empty. But even if the bag was full, by the time we got back from our "stroll", cat' and I were hungry enough to have emtied the bag ourselves. Day one was mostly spent rounding up caches in the "Rocky" series. [B)] This was day two of our assault on Lerderderg which had us making our way as far along Square Bottle Track as "Whiskey Creek Circuit...Worth Bottlin'" before heading back to the car and then headed further south for a bit of a go at Ah Kow Track on the other side of Mt Blackwood. It was a ripper day that started back in Hepburn Springs (where we had spent the night) looking over a couple of Earth Caches there, before making our way to Lerderderg for another walk in the park.
21 September 2024 14:27 Just because we didn't think we had done enough hiking this weekend, dalerious and I decided to drive to this end of the park, hop out the car and go for another hike through the hills. This is after claiming 4 Rocky caches and undertaking 5 >10km walks, so far. After enjoying a leisurely stroll finding and signing this series, we noticed another traditional a kilometer further down the track; ah, what the hell, you only live once right.Boy, what a journey that was........but that's another story which I will tell later. Was so lovely to see the themed containers still in existence for this lot. It made for a fun trek. You have a wonderful sense of humour mudbrick. We especially loved Storm in a C Cup!All caches were found in good condition. Thank you UGCT for looking after these gems. Please note I will use this same log for all along Ah Kow trail, except "gesundheite".
After checking out the trains back down the road, we continued on here to make friends with the horses both big and small.and to keep out of spitting distance of the alpaca Dad and Peta wandered off and found the cache while everyone else was distracted by the four legged friends.Great idea providing the treats instead of people feeding them the wrong type of treats from their cars.
I liked the idea of leaving carrots for people to feed the critters. The last time I came up here you had to walk to the red rattlers so it was interesting to drive passed today. TFTC
What a beautiful view! Australia
Love this cache with all the animals. Don’t forget to feed the carrots to them. A favourite from us.
Thanks for the cache

A great start to a series along the trail, enjoying the view and the great company of deanside.
Thanks UltimateGeoCacheTeam for placing this cache and contributing to this great game. Found the fairy door with carrots to feed the local equines, what a great idea! And they certainly know that people will feed them. Out and about with Connieandrick , great day, great company. Happy trails, Deanside

The day was just beginning, I had just arrived at the carpark, getting ready for a bit of a stroll and also waiting for the hamfish to arrive, I decided to take a few steps over to this one for a look, I was able to make a pretty quick find.
Now it was time for the fun to start.
**Thanks to Mudbrick & UltimateGeoCacheTeam for placing this cache.**

Said hello and quick pat to the menagerie that I was later lucky enough to feed some carrots too, thanks to their kind owners, this was the first cache I grabbed before starting my afternoon hike.
A clever hide which i always enjoy, a beautiful view too. But the flying kangaroos topped it off. Nice one.
The Trip
I think the stars have finally aligned for a two night trip, caching and camping along the Great Dividing Range. It seems that every time i have planned a caching trip in the last six months something has come up to thwart my plans or cut my trip short. I have high hopes that this week it will be perfect.
I started at Moorabool Reservoir and will be collecting caches from there in the direction of Riddells Creek although i have a lot to find so am unlikely to make it that far. The weather is glorious and there is a cool lilt in the air which makes for a pleasant change from home, and the shady forests are vibrant.
Champagne caching!

Found after a tiring but wonderful walk in Lederderg Gorge. Nice quick find and all is in good condition even though the cache was a bit lonely.
When I left the car here 9 hours ago there were quite a few people around, luckily now they have all left. With the sun getting low the views were fantastic. Unfortunately no horses to feed all the carrots and apples to today. TFTC
Having a day out in the Lederderg Forest and collecting a few caches while i enjoy this area I parked my vehicle here, found this well secreted cache before setting of on my wander through the forest TFTC mudbrick
Just our luck the muggles would be out and about so had to wait for them to move on

Plenty of space down here to park safely and walk back towards all the exciting things to look at on the way in! Talk about nostalgia! We checked things out while we waited for a pair of hiking muggles to start their walk. Had a giggle guessing at what some of the things were used for… mostly at my expense lol!!! There have been a few aeroplanes fly over today, another sign that our post Covid world is getting back to normal. TFTC
Thanks for this find wow so beautiful sadly it was. Short visit huge storm on its way, beautiful animals here.. will come back another day when it's nicer, thankyou hint was perfect.. and cache in great condition
Tftc. This was our first cache for the day, and where we parked. My mate said lets get out and go find some smilies, so I gave him some suggestions and we agreed to do the Ah kow or should I say Ah mountain goat trail, towards the waterfall cache. Well we didnt think it would be such a hectic hike, but we were well prepared with maps, GPS, phones, chargers, PLB, food, space blanket and off we went on our adventure. Lots of sliding falling tripping, this was, no that way how much further back to the car at the end of our hike!!! I don't think my buddy will be asking me out again to grab some smilies for a while.
A fav from me for our awesome adventure and a great place to start our trip for the day feeding the horses, donkey and lama..

When I first hiked past there were some muggles walking their dog so I had to leave the cache for later. I returned a couple hours later in my car and made a quick find after reading the hint. A very crafty hiding spot and an excellent view! Tftc
Well, this was another one that I could reclaim. It was still a beautiful vista, but the Aussie flag was not there, instead it was a kangaroo flag. Still an Aussie view though.Thank you UltimateGeooCacheTeam, I will be back to find the rest when I have more time.
This started out as a hike. Then I decided that since I prefer trail running, maybe I'd wear my running gear so as to speed things up. Then while deciding where to go/what caches to chase, I decided to include a walk along Lerderderg Gorge where there is no path. So was it a hike? Was it a trail run? I'm going to call it an adventure run. There was running, there was hiking, there was wading along and across the river, there was scrambling down and climbing up. And there was geocaches
17km, 670m of elevation gain, 5hrs and 13 caches later, I returned to my car. What a day!
Thanks

Watched by the four amigos (a donkey, llama, pony and horse in a nearby paddock) I made the quick find here. Think lack of daylight is going to end the cache day for geo pal Reggie and I. Can’t wait to come back and finish off this track. TFTC
After attending two events at Pikes Res today i had plans to kayak there afterwards to find some of the mystery caches hidden around there. But with the weather turning nasty i had this small series of caches recommended to me to find instead.
I found the first three or four in order before deciding to head straight to the last one in case the rain set in then work my way back to the car. It was at the last cache i met up with Alansee and we then teamed up and headed back together.
A great series of caches, loved the novelty cache companions and the play on words in the titles. Thx mudbrick for placing and to the UltimateGeoTeam for maintaining. Cheers!

Had to leave this one for the return and when I did I had Perpetuallylost for company, and between us we found the clever hide.
Found a bit of spare time today so I thought I would use it productively and find a few caches.
A couple of different walking tracks to take but I was after the one that had a few cache’s on it.
Parked the Geocruiser soon located this one and off I went in search of a few more.
A pleasant view from up here and I liked the style and manufacture of the new fence.
Thanks mudbrick & UltimateGeoCache Team TFTC.

Not much of a view here for me other than what is lit up by the GeoVehicles headlights. After a visit to the red rattlers I continued down here for another smiley. A pretty straightforward find given I own a cache hidden in the same manner. TFTC, I look forward to returning in more appropriate conditions to do the others in the series.
We decided to head out for New Year and explore, we found ourselves in this area, and couldn't resist seeing if we could add a smile or two, Thanks for bringing us to this lovely area and we look forward to be able to return to see if we can add more smiles one day Thanks for the cache, and for the fun.
If there had been carrots we would like to feed the horses but had to settle for finding the cache. Great views. SL TFTC
Peter and Muddy, thanks for this simple little cache. The old carriages seem to have seen better days, but were an interesting stopover.
I knew that I had found the series of caches starting here and to my surprise, hadn't logged them, so I am sincerely sorry for the logs being almost 3 years old.

Nice spot, a couple of friendly ponies came over to say hi while I was writing in the log! SL TFTC
Thanks for bringing me to see this Aussie view. Can see a long way away. Also see no more road, hmmm! Promises to be a 3.5 hour foot slog, no thanks! CIGC TNLN TFTC

Haha love this found the one down the road by accident and now I'm hooked. Had a cheeky pat of the grey horse who was watching too
Missed the red rattler cache due to muggles so I will grab it on the way back. This is my first cache on this glorious day on the Ah Koh track. Easy find using the hint, Excellent views from here. Always enjoy a mudbrick cache. Thanks mudbrick. TFTC.
Found after attending the CITO at Pykes Creek. I teamed up afterwards for some caching with one half of The_Tritonz.

Out for the day with Mrs Juc to visit some spots we've both wanted to go to and with the added bonus of being allowed to grab some caches. Today's destination was Lergerderg Gorge and wow, the caches we did certainly didn't disappoint ! A range of hides, some walking, some drive-bys, but all good fun.
As we pulled up to park, I was pretty sure I knew where this one would be. Um..nope, wrong. Same distance from the car, but the wrong bearing altogether. Once the pointer on the compass stopped spinning in the breeze, GZ became more obvious and soon I was signing the log, before heading off for a short walk down the Ah Khow.
Thanks again Mudbrick !

Find #1225. A quick easy find with a great hint. Suck a pretty place here. Thanks mudbrick for a fun hide.
Suscoe decided to have a day out in the Bacchus Marsh and beyond regions today. It was a pleasant day, cool to mild with a bit of cloud covering the sky for most of the day.
At least it was dry and we did enjoy our wanderings here and there.
We like this part of the world but sadly don't get up this way often enough.
The roads were pretty quiet today all the way around from home back to home again.
The cache was located quickly and we admired the view.
A nice area and one we had not been to before.
Thanks to mudbrick for this cache.

On my way for a big day trekking in Lerderderg.
This was a quick find in the car park.
I counted around 9 cars here this morning.
Not as many people on my trek.

Another cool find at the start of the track, on a hot & muggy Sunday arvo. Thanks for the cache. Signed and replaced as found. All good at GZ. Cheers!
Heading off down the Ah Kow track for a long day of Lerderderg hiking with Team Justice and some friends. How innocently it all started. Nice cache - thanks!
We parked nearby prior to heading off down the Ah Kow track. A nice hide, sign and time to start walking.

Travelling around Australia and we are currently staying in Woodend.
Well with fine weather forecast we decided to head out towards Blackwood.
Another great day using Geocaching as our guide. Such a lovely area, a really great day.

Today was my monthly caching run with Biggles Bear, and the area today was around Mt Blackwood. The bulk of the caches were along a couple of great walks, with a few extras around Bacchus Marsh at the end. What wonderful views from GZ.
My thanks to mudbrick for the cache and the views.

Today I was caching with the geokids (aged 4 & 6) around Myrniong. After venturing down this track the kids were still keen so we kept walking. I've never been in here before and it is only thanks to geocaching that we are discovering so many awesome places. And this was a spectacular view with a proud Australian flag flying! We made an easy find and kids did a few swaps. We checked out the car parked here for a TB as the caches hinted that other geocachers were ahead of us! No TB but that was ok. One more the kids said!!
Found 9:51:00 AM, found in the company of Muzza, during our regular monthly caching expedition. This month we chose to head out into the wild of the Lerderdeg State Park and environs to collect some of the caches there.
