Cache went missing during reconstruction at the park. Other caches now in the Mt Alford area
Have been to Mt Alford, looks like repair/maintenance at the park is taking longer than anticipated ... probably a lower priority considering the flood damage all around the are. Will look at making it a small/micro for a while until somewhere substantial again for a larger cache
With all the flood water and construction here the cache appears to be gone ... won.t be able to get there for about a month to check, so listing as disabled
Looks like there has been construction and maybe they found the cache. All we found was three marbles. We will temporarily replace in a few days.
Believe cache has been removed or vandalised due to a broken lid found at base of tree
Today we left the city behind us, have sent up camp at Kalbar.
We did a tour of the country roads finding a big variety of water crossings. With some amazing scenery thrown in.
Thanks for placing this cache GeoScrubers

Mr Just a Trifle was visiting his father and decided to take him for a drive. While he was out and about, he stopped by here to find his cache for the day The cache was located easily and with our name in the log book, he continued on his way.
Thank you GeoScrubers for having placed the cache and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

We were in the area this morning for a visit & thought we would combine this with finding some more local caches. All nice & quiet in the area today. Quick find of the cache, signed the log, dropped off a Travel Bug to continue its journey & replaced cache as found. TFTC
Found @2:28:00 PM.
Nice size container here. Unfortunately it seems caravaners have been camping here and maybe dumping the waste water on the other side of the tree leaving a bad odour. Apart from that it is in good condition.

Been to check on this one and will have to temp disable ... they're building a fence right through GZ!
I am interested in Adopting if the CO can't get here anymore. I haven't found it yet, but happy to take a drive
Found out in the open needs to be regimen as I think council worker have been here
Found it! Lots of dive-bombing magpies, though. Poor geo-son got a real fright :0 B)
On a road trip with Miss Fitz today finding some caches as we go
Missy spotted this one first. We signed our names and we were on the road again to the next one.

We approached this from the Rural Fire brigade side of the fence. We weren't sure whether that was the right way as we could hear a dog barking but then the fence ended and we crossed over into the park. From there we were able to locate the cache. A very pleasant country drive indeed. TFTC
Enjoying the scenery around here - such lovely countryside.
Thanks to the good hint and coords spot on, this was quickly spotted.
All good with this cache.
Thanks heaps GeoScrubers

Was looking for a good place to drop a trackable I had had for too long. This seemed to be the perfect spot as we popped in on our camping trip to nearby Moogera Dam. Had just been to enjoy a scrummy morning tea at the local winery which had spectacular views of the surrounding scenic rim. Cache was quickly located and log signed with muggles using the nearby playground completely oblivious. TFTC. Left TB

We set off today to grab a couple of caches with not much planned, but just to enjoy a relaxing day in the county side This one was next up on the list for us today, so we continued our drive along the country roads and soon arrived at GZ. We had failed at this one previously, however today was a quick find and our name was added to the logbook, and we were off and racing again [^]

This was a new part of the country for me so I was delighted to find all that awaits out here. Thanks for a cache here so we could see the little town.
Looks like there was some movement from original location - new hint "under fallen fence post" co ords updated

I'm not sure that where we found the cache is where it always has been. It could be worth the CO to have a check some time. However it was safe and in good condition when we found it and we gratefully signed the log and added some swag. Thanks for the cache GeoScrubers. I've never been out here to Mount Alford before. Found at 2:36 PM GAFF2.
Just love the geology around here and we so wish we knew what all of these peaks are called. We looked on our map, but it was tough trying to work out how far they were/are.
We scrounged all along the fence line and then eventually found it 11 metres away [B)] Are these caches around here being placed with an iPhone
Thanks GeoScrubers.

Caching with Richmond Lad and Team Biffo today south of Boonah. We took a little while to discover the hiding spot. TFTC.
Out caching near Boonah and the countryside. Live in Boonah many years ago , and often took drives through the countryside including Mt Alford. This was only the second time I have stopped in Mt Alford. Came to GZ and it took a little while to locate the cache. Found. TFTC GeoScrubers.
Gorgeous Sunday and geohubby suggests we go walking up at Spicers Gap - so we did - and we headed home along roads different to those we travelled to get there. So a quick check of the geocaching app (as I didn't load up the Garmin) meant I could nab a few caches on the way home! TFTC
Stopped by here on the Queens birthday public holiday and with nobody about soon had the find. TFTC GeoScrubers
Quick find although the park was full of muggles at the finish of a cycling race. Some care was needed
cache find # 1420. The cache was exposed, and would suspect it to be muggled if we didn't come along to find this cache. We hid better than we found it. TFTC.
Lovely little park... Found out in the open so put it back where the hint placed it.. TFTC
Given my folks live at Moogerah I have no excuse for not finding this. I suspect I have even driven past this several times.
Today was time to clear the decks in this area. Well maybe not looks like Superbus is calling.

We had come up the road from the farmland area not from town and stopped off to take some pictures of an old Austin that mother nature is slowly reclaiming.

Heading out with IolantheK this morning for another day of adventure IolantheK had already found this one, but it was on our route so we stopped to let me get smiley.
We parked nearby and I headed over to hunt. A quick look around before checking the hint and zeroing in on GZ. A nice easy one before we head up some mountains.
We saw some funky mailboxes along the road here. Another curious thing we noticed was that the park was Bowman park and it is on the corner of Cavanagh St - both names of geo-friends

We have based ourselves at the Kalbar showgrounds for the long weekend and headed out today with friends RVgeos for a bit of caching. This is such a beautiful area and we enjoyed finding this cache. Thanks to GeoScrubers.
We arrived at GZ and Ratdog12 bolted off, she was on a mission and it wasn't to the facilities either, off she went in the boondocks of the park and yes she located the cache immediately , no searching at all. We were both surprised it was still here and decided that not many kids lived in this area, BMX track seems to be unused and it school holidays where are the kids??
TFTC GeoScrubers we enjoying our caching trip to the coast. its only 11.30am plenty of time for a few more caches.

Out for a drive so we decided to detour to find this one.
Thought there might have been somewhere to get lunch, but alas the hamlet is too small to have a store - luclily we were heading toward Boonah.
the cache container could do with a paint touchup
thanks for the cache Geoscrubers

Grandma and Poppy were looking after us today, so we went caching with them while mummy was at work. We didn't like the rain because we couldn't get out of the car, but the drive was fun.

Nice easy find, have been staying in area for a couple of days and eager to have my moggill friends away so I could go find. TFTC.
Out with Captain Terror to find a few caches. I had heard about this cache before as it is in a park that is the last name of one of my caching friends on a road that has the same name as the last name of another of my caching friends. A little bizarre.
As I approached GZ I could see the cache quite clearly. Signed the log, inspected the contents and then replaced as found.

Cache found even though GPS had me heading off in the wrong direction. Lovely park in a quiet rural hamlet. TFTC
No difficulty in locating this cache. Think that a dedicated GPS gives more accurate results than a mobile or tablet.
Took GeoCoin.
Thanks GeoScrubers. Our 2nd for the morning.

A spur of the moment caching trip south and this was the first stop for Net88, Fangsoki and I, being a new icon none of us had found. The area seemed a bit muggley but somehow, none were near GZ.
The GPSr led us to a likely spot and we began the hunt. No luck and with previous DNFs we didn't hold high hopes. Net and I spread out the search area and she came up with the prize. All in good condition here.
The cache was about 9m east of where the GPSr pointed. Signed log, dropped a geocoin and off for the next one. TFTC GeoScrubers

Found this cache whilst out on a rainy and miserable day for a bit of caching with Captain Terror and Fangsoki. We parked the car and eventually spotted the gate, (Not normally in the corner), to enter the park.
We headed over to GZ hoping we were going to be covered from sight of the locals having a gathering a block away. We were in luck and Captain Terror and I started looking. Fangsoki joined us and the consensus from the guys was that it wasn't there. I walked away from posted coords and started looking at the other possibilities and I spotted the cache I called the boys over and sent a cheeky photo of the container to a previous DNFer to rub in our find. Thanks for the cache Geoscrubers

This was the first cache Net88, Captain Terror, and I attempted for the day. Had I read the logs, I may not have pulled up.
We got to GZ and started the hunt. That was when I learned the last two logs were DNFs But Net88 persisted with the hint and found the goods - and in good condition no less. The co-ords seemed about 9m out for us today. I have posted up the co-ords that worked for us.
A nice little abandoned park. TFTC GeoScrubers

Found after an epic up to get Woodrow's Cap on Saturday. This was on the way to the pub TFTC.
A small group of us headed to the border for a big hike for a couple of milestones.
We stopped by this one on the way to the Dugandan Pub at Boonah on our way home.
With four of us looking it did not take too long for us to find this one.
Thanks for the cache.

Nice quick drive by cache on the way to the pub from an epic milestone beating hike to Woodrow's Cap. Even after a short drive, I was feeling sore. Mozzies were very hungry here, so quickly signed the log. Took the opportunity to wash the mountain mud off and get changed.

Brother Colin and I were in the area when this cache was published, but neither of us saw the notification until we had each got home So today, after an epic triple milestone hike to Woodrow's Cap with with mr_fy and Crookedpete, the four of us called by this one on our way to a celebratory drink or two at the Dugandan Pub. I'm very glad it was a quick find as the mozzies were in plentiful supply TFTC, GeoScrubers.
My compass was trying to lead me 50 metres out of the park, however my location was shown on the road when I was at the furtherest point of the park away from the road. So probably just my phone playing up.
Out of sight of pub patrons so its good. Was going to look at nearby ones west of this one, but it seems like those ones are a bit of a hike to find! So it's good to cross this quick one off when trying to squeeze some geocaching in an afternoon.
