Next stop on the walk back to the car and another neat little container. Always good to find something a little different. This one reminded me of a biscuit jar that we had as kids...good memories. Thanks for another UltimateGeoCacheTeam.

Found by caughtatwork on 01/11/2024 at 10:05:00 AMA easy find after a bit of a stroll from the carpark. Track was in good order.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1

21 September 2024 2:46pmFound in good condition with catnap777.Well...That's logical. Couldnt have a themed cache series on this track without one like this. WinkDay one was mostly spent rounding up caches in the "Rocky" series. [B)] Big GrinThis was day two of our assault on Lerderderg which had us making our way as far along Square Bottle Track as "Whiskey Creek Circuit...Worth Bottlin'" before heading back to the car and relocating further south for a bit of a go at Ah Kow Track on the other side of Mt Blackwood. Razz It was a ripper day that started back in Hepburn Springs (where we had spent the night) looking over a couple of Earth Caches there, before making our way to Lerderderg for another walk in the park. Big Grin

21 September 2024 14:41Just because we didn't think we had done enough hiking this weekend, dalerious and I decided to drive to this end of the park, hop out the car and go for another hike through the hills. This is after claiming 4 Rocky caches and undertaking 5 >10km walks, so far. After enjoying a leisurely stroll finding and signing this series, we noticed another traditional a kilometer further down the track; ah, what the hell, you only live once right.Boy, what a journey that was........but that's another story which I will tell later. Was so lovely to see the themed containers still in existence for this lot. It made for a fun trek. You have a wonderful sense of humour mudbrick. We especially loved Storm in a C Cup!All caches were found in good condition. Thank you UGCT for looking after these gems. Please note I will use this same log for all along Ah Kow trail, except "gesundheite".

*Cache find # 14705.*

We had now turned onto Ah Kow, this one was the first of a few along this track, the going was fairly easy at this stage but boy did that change later on.

**Thanks to Mudbrick & UltimateGeoCacheTeam for placing this cache.**

20-Nov-21
Ah, I’m seeing the theme here now! It’s very moooognificent! The trail of destruction through the bush is unreal. There are tree top branches just hanging. It’s a bit like look up, look down, look everywhere! Which is what we usually do anyway but truly, I’ve never seen the bush like this. Sat down here and had a rest. The sun came out. It probably won’t be long before other things do as well. TFTC

02-Aug-20
Headed out into the wilderness today. Pending announcements from the government this afternoon called for remote peacefulness before the storm. Geowhippet Reggie and I trotted along the track soaking up the bush. An amazing day. The world was different when we emerged with new restrictions in force. Time to head back to Geelong and a pending lockdown. Thank you for the great hide!

Tftc. MOOOOO we nearly started walking the wrong way around Ah kow track, but we managed to rectify our mistake quite soon after, and then were heading the correct way on our little mission...
Took a trackable. Will send it on its next adventure...

Tftc - great day out in a beautiful area. I love how these takes you places you would never see...

Opening the container gave me bit of a fright! Nearly back to the main road now. Tftc

05-Nov-19
This started out as a hike. Then I decided that since I prefer trail running, maybe I'd wear my running gear so as to speed things up. Then while deciding where to go/what caches to chase, I decided to include a walk along Lerderderg Gorge where there is no path. So was it a hike? Was it a trail run? I'm going to call it an adventure run. There was running, there was hiking, there was wading along and across the river, there was scrambling down and climbing up. And there was geocaches Smile
17km, 670m of elevation gain, 5hrs and 13 caches later, I returned to my car. What a day!

This container made me laugh! A great cache, Thanks

After attending two events at Pikes Res today i had plans to kayak there afterwards to find some of the mystery caches hidden around there. But with the weather turning nasty i had this small series of caches recommended to me to find instead.
I found the first three or four in order before deciding to head straight to the last one in case the rain set in then work my way back to the car. It was at the last cache i met up with Alansee and we then teamed up and headed back together.
A great series of caches, loved the novelty cache companions and the play on words in the titles. Thx mudbrick for placing and to the UltimateGeoTeam for maintaining. Cheers!

30-Mar-19
Found these caches on a cold but not too bad day. Each one was a clever play on words apart from one which appears to have been replaced. Met Perpetuallylost when just heading back and enjoyed his company. Many thanks to mudbrick and the UltimateGeocacheTeam for placing and maintaining the caches.

13-Feb-19
Found a bit of spare time today so I thought I would use it productively and find a few caches.
A couple of different walking tracks to take but I was after the one that had a few cache’s on it.
Parked the Geocruiser, picked the right track and off I went in search of a few more.
Enjoying the walk along this track that looks like its had a dozer along here recently to tidy up the fallen trees.
Thanks mudbrick & UltimateGeoCache Team TFTC.

Sorry for the ridiculously late log (almost 3 years), but it seems to have been an oversight.

Classic Mudbrick cache, love it. I got started early on this day and had to keep moooving along as I was to get home, have a nap and prepare for nightshift. As the CO knows, I love the punny humour of the original CO. Thanks for keeping this one going.

This one scared master 7! Still in perfect working order. Adding a fav point!

Today the whole Sistema crew hit the Ah Know track. The walk didn't look too bad and I knew they would be caches that would make us chuckle. And they didn't disappoint. We had lots of fun. Enjoyed the walk and loved the wildflowers. No one but us on this track today. Many many thanks for the cache in a unique hidden location.

After some caching along the Razorback track earlier in the morning I made my way south to look for the only unfound caches I still have in the Lerderderg SP - 5 caches along the Ah Kow track!
Moooving along swiftly I was soon at the eponymous # 1 of 5. Had a bit of fright for a moment there Smile!
Thanks, Mudbrick and UltimateGeoCacheTeam.

We had a great afternoon last weekend venturing along the Ah Kow track with 2 adults, 9 kids and 3 dogs. The kids had so much fun navigating and scampering around the bush racing to find each cache. The dogs were enjoying the freedom. Anticipation was building as we journeyed along excited to see what the next suprise would be!! Unfortunately we had to cut the trip short as tummies were rumbling and the sun was dissappearing.

Thanks for a great series!! Hopefully we'll be back to finish it soon Smile

Another good find while geocaching in the area today.
Was after dark when I arrived at this walkway, nice night so decided to get the first 8 caches by torchlight.
Impressed at the almost bizaar containers in this series - fun finds.
Good hints helped make generally quick finds.

Mudbrick, you would still be laughing if you could have been there, I got such a fright that I landed in a heap at the foot of the Kow. What a hoot. What a beautiful track to walk along, really enjoyed it, apart from the mozzies who were very hungry. TFTC

Out for the day with Mrs Juc to visit some spots we've both wanted to go to and with the added bonus of being allowed to grab some caches. Today's destination was Lergerderg Gorge and wow, the caches we did certainly didn't disappoint ! A range of hides, some walking, some drive-bys, but all good fun.

Another clever and amusing hide ! A nice easy wander through the bush to this one, which would be our last on the Ah Kow track today, but we'll definitely be back !

Cache is all in fine working order. The TB is still there, as we won't be doing anything that will be able to help him on his mission.

Thanks again Mudbrick and we'll be back to do the rest soon !

TFTC! Congrats for the highly original, and hilarious hide!! We had fun finding this one. All good at GZ. Batteries included! On the way back, we dropped off our little TB, as this seemed like a great muggle-free place to wait on the next set of cachers. Plus, its a very fun container! Cheers, mudbrick.

Travelling around Australia and we are currently staying in Woodend.

Well with fine weather forecast we decided to head out towards Blackwood.

Another great day using Geocaching as our guide. Such a lovely area, a really great day.

Oh wow didn't Mr Felix have fun completing this series just fabulous mudbrick, everything to keep you entertained and guessing on the way to the next. He took loads of photo's and even video to show Mrs Felix that's how highly he thought of your caches.

Mrs Felix got video of this one. lol. Definite fave.

I have been meaning to to a few more of this series but I am always hesitant to venture into the gorge on my own. Today I had Tess the geodog for company and it was a perfect day for getting a few of these turned into smilies. Love your work and your humour muddy.

It just had to be. Tess wasn't too sure when I opened the lid and a strange sound came out. Love your work and adding another fave. Thanks Graham. Cheers Caz

Today was my monthly caching run with Biggles Bear, and the area today was around Mt Blackwood. The bulk of the caches were along a couple of great walks, with a few extras around Bacchus Marsh at the end. Nice easy find, but enjoyable and a great walk.

My thanks to mudbrick for the cache.

This was the end of a brilliant day.
A big thank you Mudbrick. You definitely through up some extreme challenges here today.
I found the area very interesting and the degree of difficulty to get to the sites made it all the more rewarding.
I hope I can hike like you when I'm 69.
I look forward to the next hike now. Feeling inspired again. So I'll try to keep an eye out for the next event .
Thank you for been our guide...I fear some of us may be still out there if not for your coordination Smile .
Although my iPhone power lasted the day ...I wouldn't like to be hiking in the area without working technology.
So battery back up is on the list for next time....
Thanks again. It was great to meet up once more.
So like I signed all the other caches in the series....Cheers

We had missed this pair on the way in as we had been looking for the new caches so realised they were close to were we had parked the car to pick up on the way back. Ah Kow was first and we saw an echidna wi thin a few meters of the cache. A quick find of the nice camo was made. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC It was then onto Ah, play chicken with a Jurassic Kow were again a quick find of the nice camo was made which made us laugh. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

[red]Find #1892 Trad #1622[/red] Big Grin

We weren't too sure of the path in a few sections but followed the GPSr which always had us close to the path. This was another great container and a quick find just off the path. We kept an eye our for snakes as a few of these hides would have made great homes Razz

We had the morning to cache after Granny offered to look after the little Na'wals. We decided to look at a walk in the Lerderderg State Park and wanted to get out early before the very hot day that was forecast. 42deg plus strong winds but we had done our homework and were happy to make the trip in. Alchey joined my geo wife and myself for the trip. We were very glad the walk was over once back at the car, a great morning it was before the very hot winds and sun. Stamped and replaced as found.

[blue]Thanks for this great series and this cache hide mudbrick. Cache and log in good condition Smile TNLN[/blue]

On our walk around in the forest LouiseAnn, Reidun and I thought we were heading for this for a few meters, then realised we had missed a fork in the path and had to walk back a few meters again. That's what happens when you're chatting and not staying focused on the gps [:o)] Soon we were back on track though and the cache appeared where it should be. And what a cache it is, very funny (the opening bonus is still working). Everything is ok with log and container and we could easily scribble down our nicks and be on our way. This was cache no.8 for me today.

Thanks for the cache and greetings from Norway.

Found together with LouiseAnn and ellesaich on a sunny day.
This is the third year that LouiseAnn and I are out here in the area to look for caches while our partners are enjoying a gig nearby. This year we also got company of ellesaich who recently came Down Under for a visit.
I found a total of 23 new caches during our caching trip today and among them were my find number 1000 Big Grin. Many of the caches we found were very well done and they were all in good shape.
Many thanks to all the owners of the caches we found today and your effort to bring us geocacher to some lovely spots. And Happy New Year!

We picked this cache up at 2:19pm. Another cache that made us laugh, and that was before we opened it, when we all laughed some more. Thanks for this one!!

Heading out with Ostara74 and ellesaich for a day of news years cache hunting around Greendale, Blackwood and on up to Trentham. It was warm but not too warm and a great swag of caches was found. We had a great time and 4 lunches before heading back to Greendale to pick up the drunken boys from their gig. Thanks for the cache mudbrick.

26-Dec-14
Christmas duties all fulfilled, on a reasonably cool day for December , we fled the city and the long lines of traffic outside the shopping malls to do a bit of much needed exercise and bag a few caches as our reward. This series provided imaginative and humorous caches and, all bar one, were in good condition. We saw plenty of butterflies and birds and a few kangaroos kept pace before vanishing into the scrub.

Classic. My partner laughed and laughed. Well done!

Thanks and cheers!

A morning hike was well embellished with caches, both new and not so new, but placed with a wicked sense of humour. This cache had additional elements that are not usually present in caches, so added to the surprise and effect.
Got a laugh from me and a fav.
