Whilst out test driving the new dog, we thought we would start on the PLT.
Couldn't find this one. After reading the logs, it seems like a long while since a find.

Had a quick look but no luck. Plenty of activity at this location going by the trampled grass.
Cache 6 today that we bypassed due to being unavailable.
With no legitimate finds in almost 3 months and two previous maintenance requests, this one may be at the end of it's life.

After a search I decided to check previous logs. I decided it was probably better to wait for the cache owner to replace the container than search for a plastic bag that may or may not be there amongst the other rubbish.
After a reasonable search we decided to carry on to the next cache and have another look for this on the return journey. Glad we did as we found the log book in its snap lock bag after a short search. Now we realise we should have read the previous logs first. The log book is now hidden very well which is why we didn't find it on the first pass. TFTC
Had a job in Frankston today but when I got there I found that I couldn't do the job so that gave me the rest of the day to Cache, so I thought I would give these cache another go as they where missing last time I looked. Found it and sl log thanks Julz76 and Cathy for the cache.
I wonder if the previous needs maintenance didn't understand the title or if it is actually broken. Assuming the first and might as well award a favourite somewhere. Took a while to find. Tftc
A second bike ride adventure for the week with PopTopPete and we tackled the new Peninsula link. Our finds were well into the double figures, unfortunatly a number of caches do need some maintenance as noted separately but still a great night out. TFTC's!!!
Found straight away. Appears to be broken though. Would be cool to see it work correctly. Thanks Cathy
I found the cache, then read the previous maintenance request. I decided to leave a temporary log sheet, as I was walking this part of the trail and may not be back soon. A wonderful variety of caches along this trail. Thanks cathylmorgan
Found but no cache in its location it has been broken. will send photo to cache owners
probably the easiest find we've ever had. no muggles to bash round here. tftc
Cache hide has been altered by muggles but the container is still intact and is all fine.
We found this one intact, but the camouflage has been ruined by some rowdy muggles, apparently. Didn't sign the log as we forgot a pen.
Did not see the point for the cache style. Still TFTC as I only need 2 more for.my goal of 180 by the end of August. SL left smiley.
Out for a couple of caches after work sort of on the way home from Mulgrave to Vermont.
Quick find while enjoying a nice walk.

Good one. Found quickly with the help of the geodoggies, log signed then off to the next one! TFTC SL
Found the 'cache housing' and where the container may have been, but no luck finding the cache.
It looked like the best day of the week, so we got the deadly treadlies out, and headed down to the Peninsula Link Trail. Bettyboo3747 and I joined many other bike riders (and walkers) using this trail today.
Seeing there was supposed to be a northerly wind we started on the southern end so we would have a tail wind coming home. Of course the wind turned as we were coming back!
Not trouble finding the container, it nearly jumped out at us.
A bit of thought and we were signing the log.
Interesting idea though.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 3756. Robmc and I headed down this way to make the most of the winter sunshine and lovely day to do some of the PLT. We parked at this end so we could head north and return with a tail wind (hopefully).
This was different to any hide I have seen before. A bit of fiddling and we soon had the container in hand to sign log. Returned carefully to its spot and onwards we go. TFTC

Found straight away at GZ. It did not appear to be hidden at all but camouflaged enough that it should not be disturbed. An interesting container idea that I have not seen before. TFTC
Kind of stands out once you see it
Out for a ride with the kids, finally got a chance to check out the Peninsula Link Trail. Had a great ride of nearly 20kms and grabbed a few caches along the way.

Nice find by 6yo daughter.Very clever-we are really enjoying finding this series of caches-and loving the PLT as it is so close to home
An easy find as presumably intended, although I think that it is fair to say that the set-up is not working as originally planned.
Hey hey it's Krazy K on the PLT
Me and the wifey & kids are taking a walk
Another nice hide along our walk
This one was well thought up
Thanks for the hide

Found as part of a short walk along the trail with 4y/o Geo-son. I spotted the camouflage easily but was trying to figure out where the container was. It must have taken me a while because I began to doubt myself and was putting it back when geo-son announced he had found it. He walked straight up and pulled it out. Doh! Nice hide!
This was an easy find as it was sitting in the open we have Put it back where it belongs thanks for the cache TNLN SL
ABL973 found this while out caching with Square_Pegs. I brought a few travel bugs with me which will visit this cache. The weather has been much better than I expected, although it has been quite cool. Thanks to for placing this cache.
What great camo on the cache. I spotted it immediately but where is the container? Aha there it is. Thanks for the clever hide.

After a quick decision between myself and my caching partner in crime, SedgwickDave, it was decided we would throw the bikes on the back of the car and head for the newly created Peninsula Link Trail as well as a number of other caches in the area including another cache crossed off our D / T matrix, AKA "Project81". Dave picked me up at 7AM and we were on the trail by just after 8AM.
This was a well camoed cache that had us tricked at first, but we were soon able to find it.
Thanks to Cathylmorgan & Julz76 for the cache.

What better then to do a power trail on a long weekend! Today's weather looked ideal but there was a mention of windy conditions in the afternoon which was a killer on the ride back to the car. Joining me today was my caching wingman and mate Ahomburg who was also keen for some numbers too. We started at the north end of the trail, parking close to PLT - Wee One but failed to final the northerest one and well after 20mintues decided to head south see if our luck would improve. Four hours later we had completed all the caches even the 3 newer placed ones just past Frankston Flinders road. Looks like this trail will expand even further south as other sections are open up. It was a great morning and only took about 1 hour to get back to the card pushing hard against the 40km/h head wind.[xx(] Great hides of different styles seen today which was great too. Many Thanks to Cathylmorgan & Julz76 for the huge effort in establishing this epic series. Awesome!

A nice mild night so what better thing to do at 2:30 am than hop on the bike and ride 5km along the Peninsula Link Trail to find some more of the PLT series of caches, as well as a couple of trads along the way. The caches along the trail have been great fun finding and I have done many with my two boys who have thoroughly enjoyed the ride and the cache finding. With them fast asleep, I was on my own tonight and I only had trouble with finding one of the ten caches. Only six more to go after tonight (until they extend the trail). Thanks.
Our second find for the day was a little easier. M was onto it in a second. TNLNSL TFTC KeMS
A great day for a bike ride, so why not couple it with a bit of caching. Set off and yes it was a great day for a ride, lots of Muggles thought so also! The Muggle factor was without doubt the most difficult factor of the day.
I am embarrassed to admit that I walked past it and then turned around as someone when past and there it was - I don't know how I missed it. TFTC

We were going to hit this trail on Friday but other more important things came up so we put it off till To-Day & what a good day it was for caching not to many muggles & the weather was not to hot or cold just right for a bike ride along this trail..

Find #10 of a joint ssmc4 & EuDes bike-riding caching adventure along the PLT (which during the day brought up my 1500th find milestone).
Very nicely done! Thanks cathylmorgan & Julz76.

Another easy find. I thought it would be a bit of a pipe dream finding this one but it wasn't.
I missed the previous cache on my way north for the time being due to muggles passing by GZ just as I did but the coast was clear for this one and I quickly had the stash in hand at 13:20.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks cathylmorgan & julz76.

Found with lochb - I spotted something as we pulled in and an unusual feature was immediately located, with the cache found soon after

Found on another TDC night run, we did the series on bike, certainly was a good ride. Thanks for the cache.
The Demolition Crew (TDC) met up for another legendary day/night caching run, this time focusing on the PLT (Peninsula Link Trail) in the Melbourne SE area. Bikes were deployed for this, and are becoming a big feature of our caching, which is fantastic. A great variety of hides were found, and some good numbers for the night, as well as some other caches around the area besides the PLT ones. My thanks to the cache owners for their efforts in placing the caches.
Enjoyed the trail and varitey of caches very much. Another hide that was a bit different, liked it. TFTC.

I was tempted to refill my water bottle, but gave this one a miss. Thanks.
Run Summary
----------------------
We've been looking at PLT series for a while now, and decided to take a ride to pick them up tonight. The new link is a great asset and speeds up access to the Mornington Peninsula. The Demolition Crew have used it extensively in the late early hours of the morning to return home. At this time it has no cars on it. That's the way we like it
So once again we are down here collecting caches and having a great ride. Thanks to the CO for all there efforts.

A perfect day to pedal on the PLT - and what a fabulous trail it is!
This cache location was being guarded by a very ginger cat who was not too anxious to move - perhaps waiting for the "not working" device to work!
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt cathylmorgan.

A nice easy find on the PLT.
Not sure if it will last long as it is quite visible form one side.
The container was on the ground when I aproached.
replaced to its right spot but not sure if the hide is in the correct position. Might need to check on it

Funny little cache today. Had a bit of a ".... wat" moment but realised it must be what I was looking for.

Today (Sunday) I had two missions. First, to ride 100 kms in one week in early preparation for the Ride to Conquer Cancer (http://goo.gl/lQq1U). Second, to do this series which is highly rated. I was not disappointed, with a different experience at every find. I'd taken the train from my home in Hawthorn, to Frankston, and then to Baxter. That last leg is the diesel that runs to Stony Point, and not very often. I completed the series from bottom to top, and then kept riding up the Nepean to Mordialloc, from where I trained back home. A very satisfying day indeed.
This is a classic. Wish it was working, for sure. A fave! T4TC cathylmorgan and julz76!

Well this one is unusual I can't say that I have seen one like this before, great job cathymorgan. Signed the log then I was on my way. Thanks
Nice clever hide really needed to tap into some combined knowledge of caching with landsergruppe and Swaggies to find this one .. TFTC

It was a pity this was not real because we could have used it. The day was heating up nicely and it was not even 9:30. Found & logged and we continued on.
Found on a caching bike ride with Swaggies and Jyetara, This is turning out to be a good series of caches, not the usual boring plastic jar in the tree stump routine here! A well done cache hide!!. TFTC
Another after work jaunt with my caching mate Slink1. A lot of fun was had. We always enjoy a spot of caching! TFTC SL
Out to complete the PLT series with Dunko as a walk, proved to be a great time

Pea bear & I are back today with our bikes to tackle some more of this great series. Followed the GPS which took us straight to it. Couldn't miss it, even though it wasn't in the first place we tried. A very fun cache. TFTC
Found with BorisB&Natasha on a bike ride along the trail. No problems finding this one! LOL. Very cool, although today I wish it was working. TFTC
Catching up on some very old logs that got lost during upload.
A lovely walk down the Peninsula link trail, a nice variance of hides too!
I managed to spot this one from the track.
