Temporarily Disabling this one due to works on the dam wall. These works are slated to be completed in Febuary 2015. Hopefully the cache will survive but I am not holding my breath. I will recheck this one once works are completed and replace if needed.
A part of this lake that I have never been to before despite having been caching here. The cache was properly hidden but still eminently findable with good coords and a hide obvious to a cacher.
Not well hidden, it was visible from the track but isn't now! Oh no not the dreaded "s" word- well the bush is their domain afterall!
Found @14:30. In between rain showers I was able to get out and explore and this is certainly a great spot. Cache was soon located once at gz. Thanks
Out for a day of gold fields discovery and caching in Creswick. Rocks and more rocks, but not too hard to decide under which pile the cache was.
Thanks to Fergzter for this cache

Dropped by for a welfare check after having a picnic with the family nearby. Glad to say that this geocache is still in very good condition. It was a little exposed, so I stacked the rocks about it a bit better. Please make sure you cover it completely before leaving this hide. Thanks.
Found it by accident! Bit exposed! Did have on our list but out walking and spotted container.
Interesting to come to this area and the well constructed wall was admired on my way here.
Coords took me to a likely spot and after brushing aside the obligatory snake ( well I was expecting to see a couple today at least!) the cache was logged.
Thanks Fergzter

Found on a great day's caching around Creswick with Lionjrb. What a wonderful area to cache and such interesting places to visit. We had a terrific day. This was a quick find but I left Lionjrb to deal with the snake!!. TFTC.
On a day out caching with LumpyJRB this cache was quickly found. With it been a hot day I don't think shorts and sandals where a good idea as we did see a snake near the GZ. TFTC.
Beautiful sunny day and what better way to spend it, caching. Great place, found after having fun 4WD and enjoyed dipping my feet in the water to cool down. Thanks
Quick find for Sully and I as we saw it on approach from the path.
Hid it a little better to keep the little fella out of the sun.
Thanks again fergzter

Bogonhazy spotted this cache from the track as we approached GZ. Not really covered up very well. the log was soon signed, we enjoyed the views from here and made our way back to the GeoPrado again> Many thanks for the cache and for bringing us here today.

found this cache on a cache run to get us closer to the magic #3000 on a cool, wet new years day, in and around Creswick.
Not for Indy!
thanks for the cache.

Found with sagimagi5. CI 888 KR and CO key. Watched carefully for the green snake in the grass and did not get bitten thankfully. TFTH
We Decided to head out Creswick way and get as many caches as we could along the way, despite the on and off deluge of rain.. soaked through after first cache of day, even our Ninja Pug was challenged by this days weather.
This was one of forty odd caches we grabbed today. Forests and miserable weather does not make for a happy GPS, had us chasing our tails in circles.... Ninja Pug thought it was fun.
We eventually found GZ ... thank goodness a lot of rock n rolling
thanks to the CO for this cache

it was a cool day so didn't expect to see any snakes. we sure had a rocking good time tho, eventually located cache and signed log, just in time too because as we were leaving a muggle was taking a walk along the wall. tftc
Mmh après un bon petit barbecue, je reprends la voiture pour faire le tour du lac à pied.
Cette première cache est visible de loin donc pas de problème, le serpent m'as fait un peu peur lol
j'ai bien recamouflé la boîte.
Merci !

Yep. That's a nice looking wall and a great area. Found the cache with Biggles Bear. Thanks for the cache.
Third find on the lap of the lake, I thought I was in trouble but spotted the cache quickly, stamped my feet to scare off any snakes, and took the coin.

Loved the reflections in the water of the banks and the sky. Thought I would take photos after I had looked for the cache. Yes, you've guessed it. While replacing the cache, it started to rain, so no more gorgeous reflections in the water for photos. I will have to come back here, not to find the cache, but to take photos. TFTC

Visited today to make sure there was no snakes. I told them to bugger off and not come back. Contents in good condition. Took TB and Left a TB.
Found by Mary & David at 1300. Nice views at GZ while we waited for a couple of dog walkers to move on. There was a man fishing from the bank about 50m away but out of sight, and his mate fishing from a kayak a similar distance away on the lake. Cache was a fairly quick and easy find. Too cold for snakes today; they were probably away for the long weekend. Our thanks to Fergzter.
Gps didn't settle easily so took a bit of time to find. Lots of people around today on long weekend. Thanks for bringing us here.
Very good hide location. Well disguised but you can find it if you look hard. This was one of our first cache finds and we went with experienced cache's The Two Wanderers.

Our 4th find for the day while out with "Gremar Eyensbury" and once again Mr Gremar found this one also. He has a keen eye already. Detective like I think. Good work Sir.
Left TB and smiley magnet Took Scouts badge.

Could have taken a while here but it wasn't too hard thankfully. I've been here before a few times since it's near my sons house.
Thanks

Nipped into Ballarat on a rainy day with Bettyboo3747 to grab a few challenges, and grabbed a few more caches around Creswick on the way back to Daylesford.
It certainly wasn't as sunny today as when you took the photos, but I think the moody atmosphere (rain!) added to the appearance of the Great Wall.
A nice walk and a good sized cache for the hide.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 3437. Robmc and I had been caching in Ballarat and were hoping to find a few more around Creswick on the way back to Daylesford.
This was the last of a few around the lake today. It was drizzly and misty and full of wintery atmosphere. Certainly no sign of snakes today. This was a beautiful place with the rugged walls and the lake. Thankfully we made a quick find and I took the Turtle TB. A favourite from me.

Didn't find but left very quickly after finding a tiger snake. Very strongly recommend taking this one down :/.
Recommend taking this geocache down as while searching right at the coordinates there was found to be a live tiger snake.
Please exercise the usual cautions when finding a geocache in the Australian bush. Snakes are a constant that cannot be avoided. Attributes have been updated to reflect this and a warning note has been placed in the cache description.
You have been warned.

We were looking for a different type container before we read the page better and then a quicker find.
Great part of the town and walk .
We gave this a favourite tick as well.
Many thanks to Fergzter.

Found It Yesterday at around 10:56 AM with AlanThall. Nice Hide and area was wonderful. TFTC
On our journey to find Fergzters recent hide "Oh Balls" and claim our first ever FTF, johncenalk and I stopped off here. What a great cache. Loved the contents inside, and whilst we did not take anything we do admit to turning back the years and blowing a few bubbles ;P.
I dropped off "Backpacker" trackable, because I thought that it would feel loved in such a great cache and location.
Thanks Fergzter for another top quality cache.

Fantastic name for the cache and the location. Felt like I was back in China without all the rough paving to walk on. A really nice spot for a family picnic too.
Took a little while for the GPS to settle though.

Oh no, a cache in a rock wall. Not our favorite hide, but at least it was a decent size so after widening the search it was soon found.

In the area to watch an Ultra-long orienteering event that started near-by. Beautiful day for a walk near this peaceful lake. Quick find.

Fishing muggles nearby but managed to find without creating too much attention . TFTC.
I used to love this part of the trail around the lake, so many things to see and explore, but then I realised where GZ was...
*Clasps head between hands and start rocking back and forth*

Found on a hot autumn afternoon. Plenty of people swimming here in the lake today, but no trouble in locating the cache. This area is one of our favourite locations. Thanks Fergzter for the cache
We found this one a bit tricky. Our GPS was a bit all over the place and we were reluctant to overturn too many rocks since it was a warm day and we have a "healthy respect" for snakes!
After about 10 minutes of frustration we walked away, then back and on the re-approach the GPS led us straight to the cache! Not where we expected ... assumptions our enemy once again, lol
TNLN.

Found on a windy afternoon today but was approached by a muggle angler before I could replace the cache. However a gust of wind took his line away from where he wanted it to go and he scramble to find a better spot, giving me the opportunity to return the cache undetected. TFTC.
Woo hoo #2 find along with emily63 and geokids. Good hiding spot! Mistook a swimming muggle for a duck so had to wait before putting it back! Took orange car, added tweezers. TFTC.
