Over from NZ visiting and trying to get in as much caching as other commitments allow. I did most of the rat plaque back in 2017/18 but there were still a couple left to get.Today I walked a loop from our accommodation to try and clean up the Cornubia area. Did 8.5 km with 215 m elevation gain per Strava. I spent a good 20 minutes here inspecting anything that was likely to conceal a cache, but unfortunately no luck for me today. Thx anyway.

Found though my coords were out 20 to 30m. Helped looking at past logs and photos.

29-Jul-21
Out for the day with nikid1 targeting a D/T I needed then working our way through nearby caches. We spent quite a while here looking all over the place. The dot on the map wanted me in a place where there wasn’t really anywhere to hide a cache, the gps wanted me somewhere else & the cache was eventually found nowhere near either of those places. Widening our search & looking in likely spots saw nikid1 finding the cache sitting exposed. Log signed & replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache jadhoo

29-Jul-21
Out for a day of caching with KerriMG. There was a cache out this way we were targeting then it was just a lovely day of caching. This is a lovely area so thanks for bringing us here.
We walked around in circles for quite a while before I spied this just sitting there out in the open waiting to be found. TFTC jadhoo

Catching up on some logging today, so a bit of a generic log, I'm afraid.

I was just about to give up (GPS was bouncing around like crazy), when a clue in the logs helped me figure out where to look. Great hide, TFTC!

24-Nov-20
After about 45min we still had no luck. For an easy cache I was surprised we couldn't find it even with other users clues.

01-Sep-20
Really relied on some of the clues for this one. TFTC

22-Aug-20
Thanks for replacing log

19-Jul-20
The hardest thing here was exercising patience and trying to look extra interested in nature, bridge construction, you name it, until there was a break in the steady stream of walkers using this popular track . It is lovely in here and I can see why its so popular.
Cache was in good condition and I quickly signed log and replaced before any more walkers came along.

18-Jul-20
It took us 40 min to find this, but only because my oppo phone is not liking the geocaching apps (yes, I try two!!) It is very frustrating to the point that I think I need to buy a 2nd phone just for caching!!

Anyway, we used previous logs and photos and eventually got there, which of course was no where near where the app was sending me.

Glad we persevered though!

29-Jun-20
After striking out further down the path it was nice to come here and make a quick find...

This is a very popular pathway for walkers in the afternoon. We had to wait several times for people to pass. Easy find. Read the hint. Tftc

Doing our daily exercise in this area. A good walk in both dry bush and among the lush greenery along the creek.
A cache that just happened to be next to our path, out in the open even

Trying to finish a group around the bike trails (on foot). Really wobbly signal had us radiating every direction. A hint in the logs was helpful. Found out in plain sight at back. Added some swaps and tucked away.

Lots of trees to choose.

12-Aug-19
Once the GPS had stopped bouncing around, 0 was displayed on the screen right above the cache.

A quick find on a quiet afternoon along this pathway.

TFTC!

The cache was soon spotted after 5 minutes of arriving at GZ as it was out in the open Surprised . The log was to wet to sign and the cache needs some attention in regards to water tightness. 26-Mar-17
Now, this was a great end to the day. A day of no DNF's and quite a nice collection of smilies in a really special part of the world. I am now happy to say that with this find, I can now leave this pocket of caches, as all are converted to smiles!

This cache was part of a little Sunday mid-morning forest run.

It was one of those days... You know the ones. Where you just wake up and a have a craving to grab a few caches. And not only that, but a need to get out into Mother Nature and detox from the week just had.

After waking up, a quick check of the map was had, and this area stood out as a great little pocket of caches to grab. It was not far from where we were staying and with the Muggle Partner out and about, it allowed me a few hours to do a little hunting.

Thanks for the cache Jadhoo. All is in good order here!

26-Mar-17
Apologies for the late logging of the cache.

Well with the day washed out the previous weekend, we were greeted by a sunny fine day, so we set off and collected some great smiley's around Cornubia! Razz

Thanks jadhoo for putting out the cache and the hunt! Big Grin

26-Mar-17
After giving the hunting up this time last week due to the weather, Ghostgums, Kaisho53 and I re-adjourned same time, same place this morning so we could give the area another crack.

First cab off the rank, we parked close by and took the short stroll to GZ. Once there, the GPSs wanted us all over the place and we spent some time looking in the wrong spots... Twisted Ghostgums took a step back, widened his search and located the container in a spot we walked past on approach... Red Face

Hint, it you step any more than 2m off the path, you've gone too far or your in the wrong place. Ghostgums took some coords while at GZ. Big Grin

Cheers jadhoo.

18-Feb-17

13-Sep-15
Out for the day with Zardecoh, kingkeylocksmiths and Marina25 to complete my 25 Unique D/T challenge.

As we were wandering around searching a couple of cyclists rode by and one of them called out and asked if we'd found it. They didn't stop to offer any assistance though so we continued searching. After a bit my gps settled and after widening my search area I found it. All good here.

13-Sep-15
13/9/15 Out for the day with Rhyssa6, Marina 25 and Zardecoh as we work to getting Rhyssa6 her 25 Unique D/T challenge. After a couple of DNFs we wer hopeful this would put us back on track. It took a little longer than expected and my GPSr was a little bouncy. A couple of bicyclist went by asking if we had found it - but they didn't offer to help! Soon the hint was read and then the cache was discovered. TFTC jadhoo

13-Sep-15
Rhyssa6, KingKeyLocksmiths, Marina 25 and myself headed out today with 25 Unique D/T caches in mind so Rhyssa6 could complete a certain challenge. As we were looking for this one 2 bike riders rode past and asked if we were Geocachers and were excited when we said yes, but not excited enough to stop and help us!! Rhyssa6 found it without their help or ours! TFTC #14 for our challenge!

13-Sep-15
A quick find for this one, definitely not a day of disaster for us today TFTC

11-Sep-15
Let's just say it was yet another day of disaster!.
Iv lost count how many times iv attempted this one and still no luck.
My gps won't get any closer to gz than 50m which is far to large an area to search.
It's frustrating tgat so many others find this one and even after me but I just can't seem to get my hands on this one.
I think I'm done with it. Sad. Sad sad day.

09-Sep-15
