Today we went on a short hike along the lake.We enjoyed the many animals in the water, the beautiful nature and of course the many caches.Say thank youTeam sissifalke
Labour day weekend and Darth_muzo and I managed to slip away from the kids for a night. We stayed over at Clear Mountain Lodge and then decided to spend the morning doing A Dam Fine Walk while we were in the area. We parked near the first cache and as we were about to look for it a bunch of people on bikes came through the barriers. Pretty sure they aren't supposed to be in here, but nothing much we could do about it. We waited until they were all through and passed us so we could search for the cache. Nice easy find to start with and clue noted. Thanks for the cache the_eths!
Start of a long overdue stroll for a series I should have done some time ago.
Met up with old bushwalking friends who are visiting SEQld for a walk around this area - my first time here. Even though some other people nearby, I could take a rest and sign the log with sausage3. Tftc
We figured it was a damn fine day for a walk so off we go! First find was a quick one.

the_eths I found your cache A Dam Fine Walk #1 on 10/4/2023, 1:45 pm. This is my find 4970 and find # 14 today. No problems, a quick and easy walk by with the help of the hint. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
After a lovely brunch with the family for Easter and celebrating mum's birthday, geohubby and I spent some relaxing time at home before heading out for an afternoon of caching and fresh air. Wanting to clear some local caches, I thought heading to the dam would be a great chance for some quality time, and awesome scenery. I wasn't wrong.
Thinking it was a great idea to tackle this series we headed off. When I first saw this on the map I stupidly thought it was a quick walk around a footpath, similar to what you would find at the beach. I wasn't expecting an 8km round loop through the bush haha! Glad I took my water bottle with me, we had a lovely experience.
We collected all six of the series, some of the logs need replacing and we struggled to find a few of the clues for the bonus cache due to logs being old, or clues not being visible. This was a great series to do, and we had fun working together to try and locate them all while enjoying a fairly easy walk through the bush. Thanks so much for placing this series.
#1 - pretty simple find, and cache in great condition.

Out for a geocaching adventure day and walk with Greatgod86. We got heavily rained on but it was pretty fun! TFTC!
Coupla Perth based geocachers that finally got let out of the sovereign state of Western Australia. Got away for some caching and a nice picnic by the dam while in the area catching up with family. TFTC!
Found these caches about a year and a half ago and forgot to log them. Hopefully it’s ok to catch up so far down the track.
This was a great one to get with my limited escape time today. Hint was perfect and I noted the clue.
The walk looks like it will be lovely. I will be back soon to finish the series!
Thanks for the cache, the_eths

Out for a walk with Mrs Tinda, we decided to come up here and check out the serenity. Sadly, the serenity was dampened today by a nearby resident making an unbelievably loud noise with an angle grinder or something which went on and on. Wow.
Anyway, we parked near this one and made a pretty quick find. Recorded the clue and continued.
TFTC where all is OK.

With afternoon plans at home, I managed to escape for a visit in Joyner. I planned on completing a walk at Forgan Cove targeting the *A Dam Fine Walk* series at Lake Samsonvale / North Pine Dam. It was already quite hot when I arrived, but there were enough trees to take the majority of the walk under shadow. After looping back to the car, I just had enough time in fishing for a couple of tree geocaches, and calling into Bullocky Rest to complete the *Celebrate 20 Years of Geocaching* Wherigo adventure.
This loop around this small peninsula ended up taking me about 1.5 hr before returning to the car. There were a few walkers and runners using the area, and a couple of kayakers had just finished their paddle, to be returning close to the start.
I started out on my walk at 09:30 hr parking pretty well at this geocache. This cache was a quick find, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape, and a numbered clue collected. Thanks the_eths for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Meeting georode for a paddle at Lake Samsonvale later, decided to pick up some caches waiting for his arrival from Mackay.

We are heading to a nearby Geocaching event this afternoon, and so thought we’d start a bit earlier and see if we could do this circuit. At GZ, a family have just finished a bicycle ride, so we were able to introduce them to Geocaching and the two children were very happy To find the treasure.

Stopped here on the way to a friends place to lunch. Had to wait for a muggle to walk by, but after that it was all clear and the cache was found. It is nice and dry, loved the view of the dam. TFTC
