Today we went on a short hike along the lake.We enjoyed the many animals in the water, the beautiful nature and of course the many caches.Say thank youTeam sissifalke
Ignore GPS and use the hint, was attached to 1 section but couldnt find top, logbook super full
Labour day weekend and Darth_muzo and I managed to slip away from the kids for a night. We stayed over at Clear Mountain Lodge and then decided to spend the morning doing A Dam Fine Walk while we were in the area. I followed the hint and scrambled up the wall. DM decided not to join me in the search but it wasn't long before I found the nicely camouflaged container. The clue was found on the logbook which is very full and needs replacing. It was a busy day on the trail and a few people walked past while I was signing the log. I'm sure they were wondering what I was doing up there. Thanks for another great hide the_eths!
Met up with old bushwalking friends who are visiting SEQld for a walk around this area - my first time here. Itchy grubs had made a home in the outer cache container so knocked them out and then could sign with sausage3. Tftc
Met a friend along the way, who was trying to warm up for the day ahead.
Found this one once we read the hint.

That was much harder than it should have been. Think I moved it before I found it.
the_eths I found your cache A Dam Fine Walk #3 on 11/4/2023, 10:05 am. This is my find 4972 and find # 2 today. Found it after a bit of a search. So sneaky, but a good hide. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
After a lovely brunch with the family for Easter and celebrating mum's birthday, geohubby and I spent some relaxing time at home before heading out for an afternoon of caching and fresh air. Wanting to clear some local caches, I thought heading to the dam would be a great chance for some quality time, and awesome scenery. I wasn't wrong.
Thinking it was a great idea to tackle this series we headed off. When I first saw this on the map I stupidly thought it was a quick walk around a footpath, similar to what you would find at the beach. I wasn't expecting an 8km round loop through the bush haha! Glad I took my water bottle with me, we had a lovely experience.
We collected all six of the series, some of the logs need replacing and we struggled to find a few of the clues for the bonus cache due to logs being old, or clues not being visible. This was a great series to do, and we had fun working together to try and locate them all while enjoying a fairly easy walk through the bush. Thanks so much for placing this series.
#3 - this definitely took a little longer to find than I care to admit. Up, down, around and around - I knew what I was likely looking for - but geez it took some time haha. Eventually my eye spied exactly what I needed and realised geohubby had most likely accidentally misplaced it in his earlier search of the GZ. Luckily I spotted it and placed it back in its most likely spot - log signed and all in good condition.

Enjoying a afternoon out with CaptainKirky for some caching. Had to work to find this cache and another great find.
After our false start of cache 1, cache 2 and back to cache 1. Billy 3/3 finds so far. I see why this takes up to 3hrs with GPS bounce !!

With the helpful hint and the right elevation the cache was soon in hand. All good here, log signed and replaced as found after the clue was noted. Thanks the_eths for placing these caches in such a lovely place.
Mmmmm couldn’t find number 2, went onto number 3….
Heading back to number two to have another look

We're out today for a fine walk around the dam on this fine, winter's day. Collected the clue for the finale. Thanks for inspiring us to get out and enjoy this area. Easy to spot once we were in the correct location!
Thanks for find #3643

The great hint made for a quick hone in and find by Stephyy. I followed her up and we watched as a couple of joggers went past. Stephyy busted them taking a break though!

Out for a geocaching adventure day and walk with Greatgod86. We got heavily rained on but it was pretty fun! TFTC!
Coupla Perth based geocachers that finally got let out of the sovereign state of Western Australia. Got away for some caching and a nice picnic by the dam while in the area catching up with family. TFTC!
Hint was bang-on even though my gps showed it was a little further away. Cool. TFTC
Found these caches about a year and a half ago and forgot to log them. Hopefully it’s ok to catch up so far down the track.
With afternoon plans at home, I managed to escape for a visit in Joyner. I planned on completing a walk at Forgan Cove targeting the *A Dam Fine Walk* series at Lake Samsonvale / North Pine Dam. It was already quite hot when I arrived, but there were enough trees to take the majority of the walk under shadow. After looping back to the car, I just had enough time in fishing for a couple of tree geocaches, and calling into Bullocky Rest to complete the *Celebrate 20 Years of Geocaching* Wherigo adventure.
This loop around this small peninsula ended up taking me about 1.5 hr before returning to the car. There were a few walkers and runners using the area, and a couple of kayakers had just finished their paddle, to be returning close to the start.
I arrived at this *A Dam Fine Walk* geocache in the series, where after a few minutes of wandering around, it was a quick find with thanks to the hint. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and another numbered clue collected. Thanks the_eths for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Great set of caches.
Came out this morning w/ one of my muggle friends to introduce them to geocaching on this series. Great day out of quarantine with great weather. Found all with no problems.
Sorry for the repetitive log.

Definitely needed the hint for this one! Great hide, 5th of the day so far! TFTC!
Prepared for a DNF here as per the four already mounted. Checked the matched hint, nope, found another, nope. Back to the first and just a short distance away at a bigger longer one - the cache was found! Signed, clue noted and I was off again.
Meeting georode for a paddle at Lake Samsonvale later, I decided to pick up some caches while waiting for his arrival from Mackay.
Had difficulty finding this one. Went up and down too many times, thought I'll give it a miss then come back to it later if I have enough time. All I found was a munzee.

No.3 in the series.
A beautiful morning for a lovely walk in this bush land/forest. The Trail is excellent and well maintained and we could have thought to have done this on our bicycles although the walk is great also. Very peaceful out here with almost no one else about. We signed the log, which we notice is quite full and head as found. Thanks the_eths

The Inspector and the geo pup found this one today whilst taking a walk around the dam and on doing this series. This one requires maintenance by way of a new log soon. TFTC from the Inspectorrexteam.
Found after a lovely canoe on the lake - log book pretty full, will need replacing soon
TFTC smile 6769 out and about no rain today

Damn those joggers come out of nowhere... they should wear bells or something... anyway wasn’t the first place I checked, but was in the second... at this point still enjoying the walk... tftc...
We realised as we pulled up to the car park that we had visited here last year sometime, on our paddle board. How we missed this trail, I’ll never know! We’re back today to start and finish it off.
Signed log TTM and replaced as found. TFTC.
