*Another big geocaching trip to Australia with woolwood9.*
Our main focus was on the "On Your Bike" Wherigo series, which we really enjoyed.
Biggest disappointment was solving all the Paddle Steamer puzzles, then driving within 4km of them before finding the roads all completely turned to sticky slush and unusable!
*We visited many other good caches and other trails on our trip and had a lot of fun!*
**Really appreciate the effort put into this cache.**

Like hubby says every time he sees a cemetery - “looks, it’s the dead centre of town”
Another cache found with richlink as part of our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
This is our last day in the area, so a very low-key day today. Our thanks to all who have placed and maintained caches for our enjoyment.

Out with iluvtrekking on our last day in Loxton. Very well kept cemetery. Thanks crane2 for enticing us a bit further afield.

Found as I made my way back home to Adelaide via a rather convoluted route after attending the Mega Event at Townsville over Easter.
Thanks crane2 for the cache.

Refueled and rip roaring ready to continue our caching trek.
Found along the dusty roads while caching with -Beaker- and Kellmik on our SA Easter rampage.

The forecast temperature today was listed as reaching 39 degrees so we planned our cacheing day around spending maxium time in the A/C in the car and minium time out walking trails. Today it was fantastic that we did not find that we needed to renew any cache containers or log books/sheets. Well done everyone. All the caches we targeted today were found to be in good order.
There was, of course, the mandatory flies and dust and more dust and more flies, we can live with this as we have the technology to deal with the flies and dust.
We did encounter roads that we have never travelled on before and were very surprised when we came across a water way at Bugle Hut that had at least 300 swans on it. We traveled down a road that had the strangest collection of items attached to the trees, there was fans, lamps, boom box, frypan, stuffed toys, CD's with red reflectors, asstd computers bits - monitor keyboard etc. It felt like every road had an old house on it. We saw house's where the lawns were so green while all the land around them were as brown as can be.

Oh what a beauty. I did not see dead people but plenty of granite and sandstone. There were a few tumbleweeds to set the scene as well.
Thanks to crane2 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
Took a drive to Berri for some shopping. It was such a lovely day and being out caching again was great! Awesome day.
The container was damaged so we replaced it whilst here.

A nice easy find of a good sized container. It’s starting to show signs of sun cancer on the plastic though.

As I am getting older and running out of time, I have decided I will take off on my own to cache in different areas of our vast country as my NGW (Non Geocaching Wife) has no interest in caching.
I have been up to Loxton for five days of full on caching with suscoe, au.fait and Phetlern and still have so many caches to log.
Heading east of Loxton with suscoe au.fait and Phetlern we found this guy in an unusual location.
I am afraid that for the next few days my logs are going to be a lot of cutting and pasting but that does not take away the effort that the owners have put in to provide these caches for us to find so please accept my thanks. With close to 200 caches placed I know how much work is involved with not only placing them but the ongoing maintenance.
Thanks, crane2 for placing this cache.

Another great day of caching, with Bushfire, au.fait & Suscoe, in the Riverland - between Loxton and that infamous border! The expanse of the farmland is amazing the ruins dotted along the roadsides adding interesting snap shots of local history.
Our thanks to 'crane2' for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Suscoe headed out this morning in the terrific company of au.fait, Phetlern and Bushfire for a caching adventure to the east of Loxton.
It was a warm morning which turned into a farily hot afternoon.
We travelled around 250 kms and found a lovely range of caches in some interesting locations.
The roads were fairly quiet but we did pass quite a few shingle back lizards, who were making their way across the roads that we travelled along.
Thanks to crane2 for this hide, the breeze from the north made things feel cool in the early morning air.

A fairly warm to hot day with much driving in the area to the East of Loxton. The caches were fairly widely spaced but the excellent company of Phetlern, suscoe and Bushfire made for a very enjoyable day. The day began gently with this easy find TFTC crane2
Such an isolated feeling area. You made a great accidental find! Thanks for highlighting it for us to also discover!
Out and about today with goingplaces2 on a caching run. We took a lot of back roads and tracks and had a great day. This one was a nice easy find and all duties were soon completed. TFTC.
Today it was a matter of selecting fewer caches for the list, but going mainly for interest. With ilook4geo we travelled past vineyards, mallee, drove dirt roads and tracks, enjoying it all. We made a successful find here at one of many very small cemeteries that dot the countryside. Both names were noted on the log, all was put back and we were off again to look for other interesting caches as well. Thank you, crane2, for placing this cache.
Unloved for over a year! I hope the residents here see more visitors than that?
Surprising what you find in out of the way places!

Adelaide Trip 2017-2018. After Christmas I headed back to Adelaide for a family visit. Day 2. Things were a bit dryer today and I drove from Balranald to Adelaide via Mildura. I spent a bit longer around the Vic/SA Border before Renmark than I expected. The next few caches were quite spread out and took way longer than expected, but were all in place and ready for more finders.
Thanks.

We decided to head out for an afternoon of caching with Larry Lambert. With the rain over the previous 24 hours, we decided to hit some dirt roads to get the 4WD's dirty! We headed towards Taldra and continued to Bugle Hut, Taplan, Woodleigh, Loxton and then back home to Renmark. After living in the Riverland my whole life, this was the first time I'd been out this way!
Thanks for another cache in a cemetery! These are certainly my favourite caches to find as I love reading all the old headstones and wondering about the lives they led. TFTC!

Off with Jack for a tour of river and mallee.
Eventually it got dark, but just kept going
Yep - that's a cemetery.

We discovered the cache and then read all the headstones at this location. Old cemeteries are so interesting and there are loads of them that would never be discovered if it wasn't for caching. TFTC and for bringing us to this great spot.
i found this cache on a drive from pinnaroo to renmark. all the german names tell a story of who settled here back then. TFTC!
Quick cache after school freezing cold but at least it wasn't pouring with rain. Found this with no hassle apart from nearly getting blown away with the wind haha. TFTC
This little cemetery was a complete surprise out here in the middle of nowhere [:o]
I enjoyed a short stroll around the stones and a quick search for the cache
Why is there one lonely grave stuck right down the back on its own ??
Possibly the most remarkable thing I found in this cemetery was a working tap [:o]
Way out here !!
Middle of nowhere !!
I topped up the water bottle which was running dry

My biggest caching day (plus half an hour into the next day on my way home), finds wise, for a long time. 67 caches actually found and 1 beta testing smiley too.
CPwanderer, Clare007, Gizmo's Gang and I headed for Loxton and the new Wandering Heroes - Fishy Tales series and we had a ball
For an accidental find, this is a beauty! So glad that you took that short cut and gave us a reason to also come here [^]

I found this cache today at 2:45pm as the 14th of 32 on a Geotour from Paringa to Loxton in the company of Cold Freeze. Cold Freeze took the short way in. Dustiest road ever. Thanks from D B-A.
Lots of familiar German names lie in rest at this cemetery .
A quick find as we made our way toward Berri for the Pub Lunch event today.

Thank you gumbowie540 for providing the wheels, as cemeteries go this was a nice quite small resting place set in open county, off the main roads, a clean interesting cache. Thank you for bringing us here.

nice one! I don't recall ever seeing this before.... some graves here date back to the 1920's... I wondered what the story was with the grave of Theodore Blum(?) died 1928 which is way back in the far corner isolated from the others.... quite a few recognisable surnames in here from about town..... thanks crane2!

Normally when a new Crane2 is published I'm well on my way to work in Adelaide. Fortunately today is a public holiday and as the cache was only just up the road decided to go for the FTF. Arrived at GZ and found a virgin log book. Once again, if it weren't for geocaching not many people would be aware of this isolated cemetery.[/blue]
Thanks for the cache crane2!
