Im trying to do a caching streak: logging a cache a day for 365 days. This week Im working from home for a change, rather than driving down to Brisbane and back. Its been lovely to not have to battle the ute-driving, tail-gating hoons on the highway.Today, this cache was my target. I finished my work day a little early and headed towards GZ. Parking nearby, I then walked to this lovely area. The cache was fairly quickly spotted, but that was the easiest bit. I have a new cache fishing rod, as my old one had seen much better days. My nee rod is 10 meters long, although it is a little bit finer than my old one. I had read that this cache was 11-12 meters high, so I figured Id be okay. It took me numerous attempts to finally get the cache down. My TOTT was at its full extent. Log signed, my next mission was to return it to its perch which was a little trickier. I dropped it three or four times, mainly due to my new rod collapsing on itself, but finally I got the cache back. Phew! A tricky Cache Fish in a lovely spot, where no one was around to be amused by my poor fishing skills. Thanks, Wesso, for another good cache.
Wesso Family I found your cache Mooloolah Tranquillity on 12/9/2023, 1:45 pm. This is my find 5982 and find # 3 today. Searched and searched again with binoculars and eventually spotted the cache. My fishing pole was long enough for retrieval. Signed the log and returned it back. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Undertaking a whirlwind visit to Maryborough. While here I was able to pick up a couple of caches I need for this month. And started home via Tin Can Bay/Rainbow Beach.
Almost home with a slight detour. A high is always a worthwhile exercise.

After a drive through Wrattens Forest, Muggle65 and l popped in for this one. I always love a tree fish. Thank you for the fun
I was up in Maryborough and surround caching grabbing a few I need. This was one on my list. It was a long day today.
I had lots of fun today. Couple of the caches we Paf information.
The funny part I left few good D/T caches behind for next month or the next one after that.
wesso family thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for my enjoyment.

Today Peppa and I are on our way to the Sunshine Coast to attend the event planned for today but have started early to grab caches before and after.
This was one of our target caches and peppa came prepared. 2 poles, tape, scissors and determination.
Tried with his new pole but just not long enough so a bit of lashing to his old pole and we had that cache down in a jiffy... happy to have his name in the log peppa returned it back to its perch..
That was one high tree fishing cache!!

I had talked to [Peppa](https://coord.info/PRAXNZZ) the evening before and I mentioned that I was thinking of grabbing this geocache. He told me his war stories at how he had attempted this one and his TOTT couldn't reach, and that a pair of prior Geocachers required serious taping of their two TOTTs to reach. I didn't have high hopes for completing this solo, however after walking to GZ with TOTT in hand, I was surprised that I didn't have too much of an issue. Perhaps my TOTT was a little longer then. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Wesso Family for the cache hide and ongoing maintenance.

Today, with the Caloundra lunch event scheduled, it was an opportunity to take the kayak and paddle one of Sunshine Coast's rivers, subsequently Paynter's Creek was selected.
Whilst travelling north, I firstly stopped in Woombye for a couple of oldies and high Favourite Point geocaches, and then proceeded east to then kayak Paynter's Creek. Following the scenic and tranquil kayak, I proceeded south towards Caloundra grabbing a pie along the way and attended the Kings Beach event. With my remainder of the afternoon, I continued to target a few geocaches around Caloundra, Baringa and Bells Creek, before returning home.
Adventure Labs completed:
• [A Wander Through Woombye](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/e03242dc-36f7-46e1-928f-46fad3ba8d66); and
• [Icons of Caloundra](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/a3387d35-dca6-4b34-a46d-15bb3af0187c).

A day trip up from the Gold Coast mainly to attend an event and, of course, find a few local caches before heading back home.
My goodness, this was probably the highest tree fishing we've ever done. I even had to rest my neck several times to concentrate on the job at hand, and the wind was playing havoc with the extensions to the pole that were flopping all around the place. A lot of teamwork was involved with another pole deployed to hold back the branches, which worked a treat ??
Great relief to finally retrieve the container, but then the thought of putting it back came quickly to mind ?????
As it turns out, it was a much easier job replacing than it was to retrieve, although it still took a lot of patience ??
Thanks wesso family for this tree fishing cache, one of our favourite types of hides ??

Patrol14 and I are spending the day on the Sunshine Coast with the main objective to attend the Rescheduled: Canuck in Caloundra - Meet & Greet…
That meant an early start, with plenty of caching before and after…
It’s taken six months, but I’ve finally returned… I even had pictures of friends working their magic here in the meantime… so knowing it was a possibility today I brought along the remnants of my first pole and a couple of roles of electrical tape…
With assistance from Patrol14 we soon had the cache down and back in place without doing ourselves an injury…
One very long pole indeed…
Thanks Wesso Family

A Day on the Sunny Coast with hatzofff, Snickersallan and Grannysmith1947.
We heard about this one at the Canadian Event, so armed with some advice, we too off to GZ.
Well, up there is true! After carefully crafting an extended cache, Snickersallan launched at the cache, only to br snuffled by a wayward branch from another tree interfering in the breeze.
Grannysmith1947 to the rescue with another pole to keep that branch out of the way. Cache then retrieved.
Putting it back was relatively easy.
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 3:37 pm on 9 May 2023. TFTC, Wesso Family

I heard talk of a very high tree cache. Decided to come watch the action. I looked up the cache and noticed a smilies and a date in 2013. I can't remember tree fishing then. Can I get double points for coming twice to this cache. Thanks Wesso Family (twice I think). All good with this cache
An early start with a trip to the Sunshine Coast but sadly unable to attend the event. Caching with RoddyC grannysmith1947 and Snickersallan.

Out caching with Karicka. The cache kept getting snagged on the branch but after finding the right angle, we were able to retrieve it. Thanks for the fun Wesso Family
Caching with BM75 on the sunny coast today.
This was a challenge to retrieve, working with two poles to get the height and from every possible angle before hooking the price
Thank you for this cache

Wesso Family I didn’t find your cache Mooloolah Tranquillity on 20/1/2023, 1:04 pm. Searched around GZ but couldn’t find anything hanging in the trees.

3.5/2.5
Small
Traditional Cache
Tried with georode but not successful. Might have helped if the pole was extended fully, something got stuck in the middle which we rectified when we got back in the car but tide was right for the other SUP cache, must know our priorities!
Maybe I'll be lucky on the third visit.

Check this one this arvo after previous note.
Cache was successfully retrieved and checked, all safe and sound.
NO ladder is required!! Just a suitable extendable TOTT and you must hold your mouth the right way, with a bit of a jiggle here and a jiggle there.
Maybe I need to increase the difficulty rating!
Cheers Wesso

Gonna need a bigger pole…
I’d heard rumours of caches on the Sunshine Coast that might be beyond the teach of our gear… Seeing is in the believing… I found the cache, I even touched it but moving it anywhere was beyond me…
Normally at this point we’d back and the car and use the Ute as a step ladder… that’s not an option here…
Like all guys, today I had to measure my pole… I always thought I had 10m… turns out it’s more like 7.1m…

Had the spuds in tow to try tree fishing / caching. With 8 sets of eyes we looked and we looked and we looked. Made two time out calls only to be dissuaded by the kids to keep on searching. Was ready to call time for good when I spotted the cache. Gee that is high . . .
With the little ones helping to extend the rod and it folding in on itself, took over the operation and struggle to de-snag the cache. My audience appreciated the effort and we had the cache down. Found a clean log and signed away. Thanks for entertaining the family here wesso family.

A lovely walk today picking up some smileys and this is one I got! This cache was visible today. The place it is hidden is rotting and collapsing, hence the cache being visible. Have tried to camo it up a bit better. The contents were also very wet. Think maybe CO you need to come and have a look. Thank you for bringing us to this pretty fishing spot.
Loving the early finish on Fridays. Mr CuriousQuest and I headed to the Sunshine Coast to collect a few smileys. Next, we made our way to this cache. My phone had me searching in the wrong area, but Mr Curious Quest perservered in the obvious spot. A bit of digging and we were adding our names to the log. TFTC
Out on a Friday afternoon with Selva Girls to pick up some caches.Sneaky one to find log was signed and returned to the cache as found. TFTC
Coords were bouncing a bit but got this one in the end. All good with this cache. Left just as some fishing muggles were arriving. Dipped TB "Crazy Ham". TYFTC.
While camping in the area with my geodog Scruffy, we just had to get out and find a few more caches ...

#15941. A very pleaceful place (despite being so close to a busy road); good spot for a cache. TFTC.
StreetWalker and I set out not long after 7am to find a few caches in the USC area, wanting to get our find count for 25th July to at least 20 caches, and hopefully to 26 (a challenge we have set ourselves).
This was en route, so we pulled off Kawana Way and parked by the busy road - not sure if this was allowed but it seemed safe enough. A short walk later we were by the river and soon found the cache, all in good order. The river was indeed tranquil this morning. TFTC.

Thanks for the quick update of this cache Wesso especially since I didn't want a blue face on my return to the UK. Found in the company of CT of the Tessmann crew.
Thought I would try this one but noted that it was last found over 12 months ago. No sign f the cache though and it appears that the area may have been subject to flooding. Has the cache been washed away or was I just unlucky. Perhaps a visit by the CO is required?
Perfect autumn day but there was no one here, though a few speedboats cruised by. GPS bounced around a bit but eventually pinpointed the spot and cache was found after some poking around.
Thanks for the cache

forgot to log half a dozen caches this day. out for a run to caches with mojohjojo, after having a great morning run at brightwater park run. a great area to run from cache to cache. tftc mr wesso
Travelling with Pocoyo for a fun morning of caches. Approached this spot at what seemed to be a good place and found the entrance to the trails in this area. I was pleasantly surprised to find this natural reserve as I normally just speed past it in the car and didn't even know if was here. There were quite a few trees down over the path which led to the area of tranquilly but not too hard to go over on our way. Nice size cache to find here and although the it was a little weathered from recent rains all is well with the contents. Log signed off to the next one. TFTC
So sorry but my log was for the next cache I travelled to! When we came to this spot it was fab to find that the fishing spot was quite popular as I guess that might mean you could catch a fish here. The two fishermen nearby weren't concerned with us as we went looking around after coming to GZ. Found fairly quickly using our geosenses after checking the description. TFTC
Easy find at a beautiful spot on the river. Just too many mozzies around this afternoon.

Sadly rubbish everywhere. Gps Went crazy. Thanks for the cache no.62 Oh and bring a scribble stick
Found this one this morning while out for a ride on my pushie. This part of the river brings back lots of memories of when I was 15 and we used to go camping up this river when it was pristine, way before the Kawana Way and the housing estates around here. Now there is rubbish scattered in the water and on the bank and someone took a dump near gz. The cache is in good nick and well hidden. TFTC
DNLRW #13 Nice way to finish off a nighttime hunt with a nice cache beside the river.
I was out with the Muggle Partner doing a little shopping around the Kawana area. We were just about to drive past this area when I remembered that this cache was here.
Earlier in the year I did attempt for this cache, thought unfortunately came up empty handed. After a quick chat with CO, it was confirmed that the cache had gone for a walk.
We were just about to drive past so I jumped the curb and checked the GPSr. Yep, she was back in action. The Muggle Partner stayed in the car and I headed out towards the picturesque area. Knowing where I was to go, I didn't even take a navigation device.
Very soon I was where I needed to be and as was the cache. I added my name to the list of others before me and also took the TB: 'Easter Egg that hatched a cow' - http://coord.info/TB3ZX96 .
Thanks for another great cache Wesso Family. All is in 'As New' condition.

Didn't know this place existed - what a lovely place to come and chill out. A few muggles fishing but they weren't paying us any attention so after a few minutes search, I came up with the cache. Signed the log and left travel bug Easter Egg that hatched a Cow to continue its journey. TFTC Wesso Family
Headed back after Stumpy to where we had parked the chariot. Only one fisherman about so we heeded the advice and took a seat. We saw what we reckoned was GZ and dived in while he wasn't lookin'. Cache all good. Looks like we're on a bit of a Wesso's trail today. Thanks again Wesso Family.
Our newly reformed group of 4 of a kind couldn't call it a night till we had pasted into the next calendar date! With the girls quickly convincing Dahumbug to do .."just a couple more!!!" (We learnt how to beg from him!) off we were on the hunt for this cache
..... Through the bush we went. Dahumbug had positioned his 4x4 so his lights were shining to what he believed was the spot...This way, Yep nearly there.... Oh look a path! That would have lead us straight to the GZ! Hmmmmm. Maybe it IS getting a bit late for us
How many of yours is this for the night raid, Wesso family

The Eight is Enough night raid group had been cut in half to the Four of a Kind group by now. I was ready for bed ages by now but the stragglers coerced me to come along for a couple of more. "I TRIED TO GET OUT, BUT THEY PULL ME BACK IN!"
Container was found ok to make my penultimate find for the night.
Thank you very much Wesso Family for placing this cache for us and others to find *smirks*

Our downsized group (4 of a kind) continued down here as we tried to convince DaHumBug to stay out a little later. In the whole area there were only 2 that he hadn't done - this and Stumpy. So, our persuasive powers at play, we kept him out later and pulled up here.
Isn't it the typical cacher's catch-cry - "hard way in, easy way out". Well, although it was only a short way in -that's what we did today! We even had to cross over the path, that we all ignored, to find that difficult way into the bush. Luckily, I only came close to hitting a spider's web, and didn't actually collect any. A bit of scratching around and the cache was found and signed and we exited out the easy path.

What a lovely little 'out of the way' spot.
If not for the two cars parked here (& the cache of course!) you wouldn't know this was here.
A muggle couple with a young toddler were relaxing by the water but we managed to make our way to the cache & 'do the deed' without arousing undue suspicion.
TNLNSL & replaced as found.
We should have known we wouldn't escape the Sunshine Coast without a Wesso cache! LOL ...
