You little beauty!! After our first 2 failed attempts here due to lack of daylight and a raging storm we called back on and had this ripper in our hands!!
Overnight stay at Warwick so we could join JABAK123 in a days caching. Lovely day for it. Took 4 of us a long time to find this one. The last person had obviously thrown it or pushed it with a stick as it was extremely difficult to reach and manoeuvre out. Replaced it in a more accessible spot but still at GZ. (Hope this was okay!) TFTG 2 shadows and the cache maker.
Tftc Cache Maker, hmmmmm what can we say about this one!!! We couldn’t believe that all the rocks also had tree trunks & broken branches all over the rocks. It took the 4 of us to search as there were 2 dnfs previously. Thank fully I had my Citi grabber & J had it in hand. We put it in a better area at GZhadbeen a
Lots of places to search here, but none of the ones we looked at yielded the cache.
Thanks

Found with REMSJW, jemillalucy, mnance101, and bennyboppers. We are also known as the Tough Mothers as sogn in as tm x 5
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Bennyboppers, Misssusan79, Remsjw, and Jemillalucy). TFTC!
Away for the weekend with tough mother's to clear up the area. Its been awesome thanks for all the caches.
TFTC... 30/9/17. On the hunt in unfamiliar territory with Tough Mothers. Lots of smileys on offer, this is one of them. In caves, didn't need "open sesame".
Didnt find a genie in a lamp, but we found the treasure of the cave. Last log entry on the sheet was 21/2/17 although several electronic logs have been recorded after this date?? We wondered if there are perhaps 2 caches here?? This one was difficult to find & after a bit of extra time looking for a second cache we decided we were content with our smile & headed fown the road to the next hunt. tftc xo
I headed down today to find a big bunch of caches and this one was included.
I found the cache and signed the log. TFTC
I'm no genie-us, but luckily I was good at algebra, as treasure hunts like these are the times we really need to know how to find X.

As we arrived at the search area we were dismayed to see that a very large gum tree had fallen on this rock pile breaking another smaller tree. Some of the fallen tree has been cut up anď the logs are lying across the rocks. Sawďust ànd bark is also scattered around over ànd among the rocks. Large flakes have been broken of some of the rocks.
We spent 20 minutes carefully seaching in, around and under the rocks with out unearthing the cache. It may well still be there but we could not find it.
Thanks for this cache cache maker will have to come back.

It may be worth checking this cache as the recent activity in close proximity to the cache may have caused access problems
As we approached GZ we could see the area had been graded and shrubs and tree and dirt all moved ontop of area. After a search we came up with a DNF
Aladins cave appears to have had a land slide or is it a road grade
Lots of dirt graded onto GZ plus fallen gum trees
This made for a difficult search
After 10 minutes it was time to move onto the next cache
As the saying goes - There is always another cache

**Smilie #4790**
Heading towards Warwick & caches west & we decided this would be a great place to call past & grab a smilie!
Spotted a healthy specimen of lace monitor & a small wallaby on our way here.
Let's hope there aren't any scaly natives lurking around GZ today.
Good co-ords led to a quick find.
Unfortunately the log is quite damp.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

This one put us at a set of rocks. Great the jury is stillout whether i like these challenging ones as i feel one day a snake will bite me! Anyway searched and searched and the gps kept bringing us back to a cluster of big rocks so i took the methodical approach and searched every single nook and cranny and finally came up with the goods!
Had a fantastic day out with my husband as we left the kids at home for the sole purpose of me being able to pick up my largest number of caches in a day. The day didn't go quite to plan due to the large volume of water making us not to confident to drive along the soft sided road. However we saw some amazing animals along the way including two snakes, thankfully the red belly black snake was dead. I particular enjoyed the animal series, but appreciate all cache owners for placing and maintaining these for the geocaching community. I apologise for the generic log.
Tftc. This is a late log. Went on a caching trip back on August 28/29 2016. Did over 350 caches over the weekend and only managed to log the rest of it now. The girls took me out for a bday weekend caching. Found with chasing adventures and Thehinds of the Triple threat crew
Day 2
A wonderful weekend away in Stanthorpe resulting in 374 finds, including 22 mystery (Stanthorpe Apple) and 1 Earthe cache. I hoped to log each individually as I usually would but the tyranny of time prevents me from continuing to try and achieve this goal. A big thank you to all the Stanthorpe CO's. We said many times we wish we had more consolidated trails in Brisbane. TFTC

Out with Cachemeifyoucam to run around the area and get as many caches as we can. Really good series, enjoyed all of the finds. Took us a little time to find. All three of us ended up searching.
One of the many caches we did on our Pike-Granite & Rockland Roads loop !

WillPunkey 7, the 2 yr old and I set off from Toowoomba for an afternoon of caching, the aim was to complete a some of the power trail that StephLego, the kids and I started a few months ago. Both kids loved the afternoon and made some swaps along the way.
Some of the caches were challenging but with the help of WillPunkeys young eyes we ended up finding all that we attempted along the trail. Even with the toddler tagging along we made good progress, completing 45 caches in around 3.5 hours before we headed back to the Hwy to grab some more.
This one was challenging but the kids enjoyed playing on the rocks, after widening my search a couple of meters to the East I soon fond the sparkley cache.

We set aside today to challenge ourselves to find at least 150 caches in a day. Before last Mega in Stanthorpe, we had cleared the middle section of the AS Series, so this challenge meant starting at the bottom, then later moving to the top section, then back down the highway towards Stanthorpe until our target was reached. Apologies for this generic log: unless noted below the caches were in good order and available for future hunters - in some cases this meant stopping awhile longer to replace a log, and/or clean out the cache.

Back to the area after my day here last week. Just a drive around to try to collect some of the caches I missed last time. Found some more, didnt find some, but had a great time. Thanks for these cache power trails and for maintaining them.
Hmmm?
Hasn't been found for a couple of months.
This could be interesting.
Quickly changed our minds when, as we approached, something large, brown & scaly ducked into the cover of the rocks at GZ.
We decided to leave this one for a return trip in cooler weather, like when it's snowing! LOL ...

We apologise for the generic logs. We came up from Victoria to the area to enjoy the sunshine and attend the Tara Festival and decided to find some of the Caches on these power trails . Thanks to the cache maker.
We travelled down from brisbane to Tenterfield today to sign the log for the "Average Challenge". Not ones to let an opportunity go to waste, we spent the balance of the day finding some great caches in the Stanthorpe area we missed during the Mega. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache the cache maker
Found on an outing with Geoson. TFTC and congratulations for the effort put into this cache.
A target of 200 finds for the day meant an early start so we were up at 3:30am. Crookedpete, Seffnjarah and I got to our first cache by 4:25 on the A.S trail. We finished the day after 11 hours of caching with some interesting Stats:
270 finds including all of the A.S. Trail
3 DNF’s (Due to grading of the roadside that has taken a few trees away)
2 finds with three DNF’s on them before us (they are always nice to get!)
1Challenge puzzle completed.
My 2000th find somewhere along the way (but I don’t actually know which one)
And my favourite stat: 39 finds in 60 minutes – boy did we hoof it! Fun, Fun Fun!
Now for the caveat, as I know my partners in crime will no doubt mention in their logs, I did not manage to get to look for every cache! Well actually very few……ok….I only actually found 2 myself. You see I was the designated driver for the day. After some knee surgery 4 weeks ago, and only starting weight bearing again 2 days prior, the plan was hatched that I would happily drive for the day if my friends would add my name to the caches as we found them. They tell me that they did actually put my name in the log, but I am dubious.
I swear I will never attempt another power trail, as they are simply not my thing….but I am glad I have done it once so my thanks to the CO’s for their efforts. That must be a lot of work to maintain!
Thanks also to my partners in crime – sterling effort!

I have wanted to take a crack at a power trail for a while. My crazy companions today, SwellerFungus and SeffnJarah were really only lukewarm on the idea. But then a knee operation sidelined Fungus and he hit upon the idea of a power trail road trip, where he did the driving and Seff and I did all the hard work finding the caches .....as always.
An early start on a brisk Stanthorpe morning had the first cache in hand in the dark at 04:23. With a couple of hours break for lunch and 11 hours on the trail, I finished up before dark with 277 finds and 3 DNF's. A good dozen or so caches along the way really tested our finding abilities (ie Fungus actually stopped the car engine and joined the search) - mostly where overzealous road works had changed the landscape.
Highlights of the day included seeing the sun rise (and later set) over a foggy valley, finishing the entire A.S. Series in a day, signing a cache every 1 min 33 seconds to grab a huge 39 in an hour and mostly the endless banter and leg pulling with my companions (power trails would be dull without it!).
Many thanks to all the cache owners for their efforts in placing and maintaining this huge trail of caches, and particularly thanks to the cache maker for placing and maintaining this cache.

Really like all the little creature caches on the Pikedale Road run. Quick, easy find! TFTC Weather is beautiful and cool for caching Still caching in the district after the Mega which was a blast
MEGA is now over and after staying back to assist the crew clean up the grounds and facilities I now have Tuesday to myself to do a clean-up run on the way home.
With a storm overnight the roads were a pleasure to travel and I soon rounded up the remaining caches along this trail. An interesting drive, , some unexpected sights and the finding of the way to Utopia.

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day eleven took us back north to do more of the trails. We ere joined by Rapidlywild and SpecimenX for the morning. After a creative drive to get to our starting point we powered through all of the remaining animals by lunch. Then it was back to town to head our different ways. Sold De Lune and I headed out to the Bald rock road to do the remaining caches out that way. Thanks.

Found it with Team FIN [kapeka & laalaa]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Australian Capital Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Today specimenX and myself had a goal, we wanted to finish the powertrails. We had organised to meet up with Sol De Lune and Albida who are also from Canberra and with the 4 of us loaded up at 8am, off we went in order to hit as many as possible.
We had managed to knock over just over 100 caches in just under 4 hours and soon after, we were in a position where SDL and ALB had found ones we were missing. So we were returned to the Mega site to jump in our geomobile and from there we went seperate ways. With the very first cache collected at 0850, the ver last cache collected at 2122 with a ~2 hour break, we managed 226 cache finds in a 10 hour caching period. This is our biggest daily achievement to date !!!
Some caches were easy, some a little more difficult, all in all, no DNF's to record and the Stanthorpe powertrails are now officially COMPLETE
The weather was nice to us today and the roads remained dry enough to get around without any issues.
Thanks the cache maker for placing this cache for us to make a find on

Up from Canberra and found with Rapidlywild on a two week geomission around the Gold Coast and, of course, for the MEGA
Today's plan for us was to complete the powertrails we had left around Stanthorpe and to nab any randoms along the way. A plan was hatched with our fellow ACT geomates, Sol de Lune and Albida33, the night before to join them at 8am to see how many we could knock off.
With just over 100 caches nabbed in under 4 hours, we were up to the point where Sol and Albida had already found the ones we had yet to get. So with that we all returned to Mega GZ to freshen up, then RW and I continued on to knock over the remaining caches we had left to collect on the power trails.
All up we made 226 finds in 10hrs-not a bad effort I reckon and it made for our biggest day yet!
Thanks to all of the CO's who placed the caches for us to find on a most enjoyable day. As a powertrail co-owner, I can appreciate the work involved in setting them up!

Day five for us at Stanthorpe, attending the Mega event. The previous day was very wet and up until today we really had not got many numbers. Today we finish up the Stan puzzles (has taken us 3 days to find these, been taking it reaaaaaaal slow). Finally with a break in the wet weather, we tackle the trails finishing the day with 202 finds and no DNF's ??

Well, finally, we got some half decent weather to do some caching! My goal was to do 100 for the event and to beat my previous highest day of 23, i have smashed that with 69 for today including the Stanthorpe Mega event and i got my 100 for the event so time to relax! TFTC TNLN.

I found this cache while visiting Australia from New Zealand and while staying in Stanthorpe for several days for the 2015 Mega Event. Today I joined forces with fellow kiwis Cats&Dragons, Alpenmilch80, Vamber and Yorkshirekiwi83 (signing our logs as "CAVVY" to save time and log space.) Our main focus of the day was the power trails between Stanthorpe and Warwick. We left Stanthorpe at dawn and drove straight to Warwick, then slowly made our way south again through the power trails. It was a long day out caching, where we found over 300 caches! Apologies for the copy and paste logs, but its hard to remember them all! TFTC!

Cats and Dragons, Alpenmilch80, Vamber, Vistra and I (we signed as CAVVY) decided to tackle the powertrails north of the mega today, sorry these logs will be very generic for the trails as we found over 300 today. Nice easy find, TFTC

Together with the New Zealand crew which included Cats&Dragons, vamber, vistra and yorkshirekiwi83 (signed logs as CAVVY) we headed out early in the morning to get those power trails plastered with a lot of smiley’s. It took us around 9h working well together to get those awesome trails done. TFTC
Found as part of a very big caching day in conjunction with YorkshireKiwi83, VISTRA, Vamber, Alpenmilch80 signing the logs as CAVVY (to save space).
Shame about the weather but the caching was a whole lot of fun with adventures and trash talk along the way.
Thank you to all the cache owners that put these together for us to enjoy while at the OZ MEGA 2015, as NZer's we certainly did appreciate them.
So again thank you for the FUN of the hunt

In Qld from SA for the Mega event and having a great time, out today with Felix II and K.B. doing some power trails, apologies for the generic logs, but very much appreciate the efforts of the CO. TFTC
LCBuilder and I are over from NZ staying in Brisbane and came to Stanthorpe for the MEGA event. We tried to get this whole string of caches in a day to make for our "Most caches in a day" stat. Started early at 5am, most of them were found within seconds with only a couple DNFs. Unfortunately we got a flat tyre about half way through and had to abandon our plan with only the space saver to get us off the gravel roads. To our surprise we managed to find a place to fix the tyre (On Good Friday!), and then off we went, back to the power tail. Couldn't get them all though, with night closing in and the danger of hitting a kangaroo too high, we went back to our tent happy with ~240 finds TFTC
