I like pie. I also liked the walk out to this cache with team DanSanHai. We started at Bullocky's Rest and went for a bush walk, stopping along the way for a snack, which was not pie, unfortunately. Noting this cache was nearby, we decided to walk just a little further for an easy find as promised. Saw a couple of kangaroos enjoying the nice weather too. TFTC.
Today we went on a short hike along the lake.We enjoyed the many animals in the water, the beautiful nature and of course the many caches.Say thank youTeam sissifalke
Labour day weekend and Darth_muzo and I managed to slip away from the kids for a night. We stayed over at Clear Mountain Lodge and then decided to spend the morning doing A Dam Fine Walk while we were in the area. After we finished the Dam Fine Walk caches we continued along the trail discussing how we would be able to find the final with 2 missing clues. We were so caught up in our calculations that we actually walked past this one and had to go back along the path a bit. Then off into the bush again for a nice easy find. The container was very curious with a screw sticking out the top and I had to wonder what the original decoration on the cache was. Perhaps a pie? Maybe someone got hungry on their walk and took off with it? Anyway thanks for another great hide the_eths, we have really enjoyed our walk around the dam today!
First cache of the new year! Found on the ground as I think its home got a little damaged in the recent weather. Placed back up towards the sky and now onto the next one! TFTC
A nice easy find thankyou but not quite where it is supposed to be. Cache is lovely and dry and still plenty of room for scribbles, now on around the lake for another one
Met up with old bushwalking friends who are visiting SEQld for a walk around this area - my first time here. Found straight away with with sausage3. Tftc
Found, but no where near the sky and the log book on the ground. Have sat it up in a nook.

Found after a quick detour of the track into a clearing. I hope you’re looking for a vegetarian alternative for a pie in the sky.
Find #43 and now we have completed our Dam walk. Signed best buds

the_eths I found your cache Pie in the Sky on 11/4/2023, 12:10 pm. This is my find 4977 and find # 7 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
After a lovely brunch with the family for Easter and celebrating mum's birthday, geohubby and I spent some relaxing time at home before heading out for an afternoon of caching and fresh air. Wanting to clear some local caches, I thought heading to the dam would be a great chance for some quality time, and awesome scenery. I wasn't wrong.
Thinking it was a great idea to tackle this series we headed off. When I first saw this on the map I stupidly thought it was a quick walk around a footpath, similar to what you would find at the beach. I wasn't expecting an 8km round loop through the bush haha! Glad I took my water bottle with me, we had a lovely experience.
Completing the series we couldn't resist tackling this quick cache on our way back to the car. TFTC.

Having a great afternoon out with CaptainKirky caching. Thought I would grab last cache for the day after the series we had just done.
Including this cache most of them you do have to go off track but not much in the area.

Glad to have a cache to find on this side of the trail found on the ground but popped back into place. 1 hour 40 minutes into the walk so far.

Hello! Found your cache but it doesn't appear to be in the right spot. Might need to check it out, placed it back in the tree near where we found it!
Continuing the walk around the dam this morning this is another cache I found. All good with this one, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks the_eths for another one.
We're out today for a fine walk around the dam on this fine, winter's day and we couldn't pass this one by. We found it on the ground but didn't have the strength to remount it as is indicated by the container so tucked it into the fork of the tree.
Thanks for find #3649

Out for a morning jog along the lake samsonvale trails. My muggle friend spotted this one first. TFTC
Found these caches about a year and a half ago and forgot to log them. Hopefully it’s ok to catch up so far down the track.
I couldn’t see anything around here today but I felt like I was having an off day, so it could well still be there somewhere.
With afternoon plans at home, I managed to escape for a visit in Joyner. I planned on completing a walk at Forgan Cove targeting the *A Dam Fine Walk* series at Lake Samsonvale / North Pine Dam. It was already quite hot when I arrived, but there were enough trees to take the majority of the walk under shadow. After looping back to the car, I just had enough time in fishing for a couple of tree geocaches, and calling into Bullocky Rest to complete the *Celebrate 20 Years of Geocaching* Wherigo adventure.
This loop around this small peninsula ended up taking me about 1.5 hr before returning to the car. There were a few walkers and runners using the area, and a couple of kayakers had just finished their paddle, to be returning close to the start.
This was one of the last geocaches to find in this area, and I detoured from the main track to check out GZ. After an initial quick look, I started to consult a few past logs, only to find the cache randomly on the ground. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. The hide may need a rethink if it only lasted a couple of days from the CO check? I tried to place back to the logical spot nearby. Thanks the_eths for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

We made it over to the gz and when we got to the location we were to busy looking "in the sky" that it took a couple of minutes to see the cache container on the ground. Not sure how it made its way down there. When we opened to sign in the log was all squashed in so after signing we rolled it up all nice again. Not 100% sure where it came from so we put it where we thought it would have been. TFTF

Found it, but I think this pie may have fallen from grace, it is no longer way up high, but is instead caught in a fork. Looks like one of the key ingredients may have gone bad. Great idea though. TFTC
Found on a nice little evening stroll and forgot a pen! Lovely little area and ingenious cache container. TFTC!

Thank you, the_eths, for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

The final one on our lovely walk today around this beautiful area. The birdlife is spectacular and the spring flowers are beautiful. A little search soon had this one revealed with its crafty camouflage. Very nice! Although not part of the series, this one is just as good. A favourite added and thanks the_eths for the lovely incentive for a walk in this area today.

The Inspector and the geo pup found this one today whilst taking a walk around the dam and on doing this series. TFTC from the Inspectorrexteam.
Didn't eat this pie. Have been thinking this "pie" wouldd be a good idea. Lots of these along th way, great idea
Tenth find of the afternoon. I headed out for a long solo walk - keeping social distancing of course, and armed with gloves and hand sanitiser.
This was a relatively quick find in a nice little place. Signed the log and quickly returned as found. Clever little cache container
Lovely day - a little overcast and spitting at times, but still a great day to be outside, and away from the gloomy media and tragedy unfolding in other parts of the world. The walk and distraction was really appreciated.
TFTC - TB visit while I am here

Hatzofff, Snickersallan, echocage1, Zipzap1 and patrol14 are with me as a caching sextet over on the dark side (according to the latest geo art, anyway).
Found the cache a short way off the path (more or less!).
Log signed and replaced on January 27, 2020 at 3:13 PM. TFTC, the_eths.

Another day of caching with geofriends in the area and targetting caches on our hit list.
Quick find by Snickersallan but not sure what the hint meant for this one. SL then returned as found.

Quick walk off the trail to grab this one. Quick and easy find. The kids took the beetle toy and left a rainbow badge and some erasers. TFTC
I decided to go for a walk this morning and find a few caches. This was a nice place to walk with plenty of runners, dog walkers and bird watchers taking advantage of the cool conditions. I'm not sure what relevance the hint had to the hide. I'm assuming that this is not the original container. But it was a quick find. Thanks for the cache
Didn't look like a pie, but the rest made total sense. Quick find, thanks to good coords.
Thanks for the great excuse to walk this trial. Might have to revisit in winter . TFTC
Was getting pretty hot by this stage , it’s definitely coming into summer. My youngest says she would like to walk it again, oh to be young tftc
