Letterbox has been flattened and isn't a very interesting one anyhow. Container removed today.
It was looking like a wet day but due to just having escaped lockdown we thought we should make the most of it. The decision was made to leave the geoboys home as if it was cold and wet we would never hear the end of it. The girls did very well today taking home close to 30 caches. Still plenty to go in this region.
First find had us searching for a bit!

So very happy to get out with RubyTuesday3 and my daughter to enjoy the beautiful weather after several weeks in lockdown. Decided to get out and have a crack at the basketball series.
This was the first for the day on our way to do the basketball series

Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. Our first traditional for the day, quick easy find. It was very sad to see that the letterbox has had an accident, it looks like a car has missed the turn and flattened it. TFTC
Down to Myrtleford today to check out the mosaics and the Mosaic Trail. Fortunately this meant driving on virgin (for us roads) which means new geocaching opportunities. I'm quite enamoured by the awesome mailboxes that are around this area and so I'm grateful to BettyBoo3747 for bringing them to my attention via this series of caches. This was our first stop for the day and the geokids were quite delighted - particularly my 2 year old geoson who has a thing for watering cans. He would honestly spend ALL DAY watering the garden if I would only let him (which would require me endlessly filling the watering can - so no).
School holiday time at Christmas – hooray. A week in Beechworth in the caravan (3 times already to Beechworth) with our daughter. Sunny all week, window shopping, visiting historic sights, walking in the bush, supporting local businesses, & geocaching of course. Found at 11:11am by JK from the car!

Well with every intention to go to Mt Buffalo we headed out on a day of warm caching, if you follow the logs you will notice that we fell short but it was still a great day. This was one of those, quick lets stop here caches and after a quick find I added another smiley. TFTC BettyBoo
On my way to Murmungee so grabbed this one for myself, having claimed it as a team. Cache found in good condition
I decided to come out here today as a Team with my partner with the mostess; no he is not a hostess, but he has the most generous heart and that is why l say he one in a million. Reg brings me all the luck as l scooped 3 BettyBoo3747 Pathtags today. Thanks for this cache "L", and most of all, thanks for your beautiful set of tags

Left Adelaide heading for the V8's at Winton, what a better way to seek a few Yellow faces along our route.
Some have been interesting as others not so, but without having a go we wouldn't have been brought to those special places in the Geocaching World.
Thank to the CO for maintaining these hides and getting us out of the car.

This morning was my last day in this lovely area, and I set about finding the ones I wanted to find rather than just seeing how many I could find. Quality over quantity you might say. Then it was undertaking the three hour drive back to Melbourne where I was keen to find some solved puzzle caches I hadn't found on my previous visit in November last year.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. A big thanks to the owners of all the caches I’ve found over the last three days, pretty much all of the caches I found were in good condition and well maintained. Cheers and TFTC

We headed over to Beechworth to attend the Murmumgee Pumpkin Festival and give BettyBoo3747 some moral support and comic relief. We headed off to the festival today and collected a few on our way in.
Our first for the day and a nice piece of artwork it is too.
Thanks for showing us the area BettyBoo3747

Quick hollow reet find this morning on our bicycle ride instead of cross country skiing at Falls Creek. tftc.
A cute little mail box here and an easy find as I headed into Beechworth for the night TFTC BettyBoo
It is Mr D's birthday, and all he wanted was to try out the famous pies from Rutherglen - you know the one with the annoyingly catching jingle.... So, driving from Porepunkah to Rutherglen, thought we should add to our caching numbers.
Cute letterbox, quick find, thanks BettyBoo

Quick park n grab. #1 of our Sunday arvo planetary pursuit mission. We've given it a solid crack & think we've fallen short...just. Enjoyed the challenge.
Nice and easy. Roadworks happening here, but not near the cache. Just have to be stealthy.
Aim today is to get yo 500 and get as many puzzles signed as I can. However was driving past another letterbox art so couldn’t resist - quickly found and signed - TFTC
Found whilst on my way home to Adelaide (via Beechworth) after enjoying time in Alexandra for the 2017 Victorian Mega.

Day 2 of our trip to Alexandra for the Mega. NationalSteel and I travelled via Beechworth to tackle some more of the HSS series and to avenge some of my DNF's from last time.
Another great piece of letterbox art.
The cache was in good condition. We took nothing, left nothing, signed the log and replaced the container as found
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the cache.

Tftc stopped on way to myrtleford wasn't the easiest of finds having broken one of my thongs looking for for cache at the old hospital
Along with the end of spring, it is the end of this visit to the cache rich area of NE Victoria. We have had an amazing time in the very good company of Suscoe. We found this cache among the many trails, puzzles, geo-art and multi’s, the CO’s have created, often highlighting local history, the fabulous scenery and of course, providing immeasurable geocaching fun for everyone!
We wonder if the owners of these art features, are aware of their attraction for Geocachers!
Our thanks to BettyBoo3747 for placing this cache.

Suscoe was in this wonderful region caching with our good friends Phetlern.
We were enjoying a terrific day out and about in the Beechworth Area, sunny with a gentle breeze keeping things pleasant.
Lot of fun and caches along the way.
Thanks to BettyBoo3747 for this hide.

Out and about today for my last full day in Bright, I headed out of town towards Beechworth, a town I am fond of. So much history and scenic locations. Another nice and easy find.
My thanks to BettyBoo3747 for the cache.
My thanks to BettyBoo3747 for the cache.
Another quick driveby. We'd gone to Beechworth to have lunch while it was raining - but I think every tourist in the region had the same idea!!! Finding a carspot was one thing...finding a seat to sit down and eat was another.
Found with Happy Feet this morning while grabbing a few caches around town and we managed a straight forward find with this hide. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the hide and for showing us another great letterbox of the area.
Out caching for the day with Happy pants and omegaman1971 grabbing some caching while all in the area. Enjoyed making this find.
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Found by Mary & David, in convoy with The Coffees, at 1010. Great country art. The girls went straight to it. Another beautiful morning. Our thanks to BettyBoo3747.
Looking at the photo and the actual letterbox today suggests that this letterbox has seen better days in the past. Much better days.

Hi there BettyBoo3747. We found your cache "Letterbox Art - Watering Can" at 7:15:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 12219.

Today, instead of wearing our behinds off on the rail trail, we decided to make a start on the HSS (and of course all the others we passed along the way). The weather was really nice, and there is definitely a fresh eucalyptus smell in the air. We enjoyed our drive today, and have placed a favourite point on the more "inventive" caches we found (hopefully we remembered them all). We didn't finish the series - but there's always another day, & we ended up logging 51 and DNF'ing 4 today.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing in the small ones, and a smiley badge wherever we could fit one.
Dropped Trackable: "My Traveling 2 Cents Geocoin".
Thanks for the hunt,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
