Managed to sneak in a find here.
Looks like nature is losing one of it's elements close by.
No problem finding the hide.
I signed the log and was soon on my way.

Our GPSrs had us looking in the tree for a while with no luck - then we looked ar the logs and found that the container had been replaced and the cache had been moved. Great - more of a challenge! A quick look in an obvious spot found the little bugger. The GPSr had the new coordinates at S 38 44.217 E 143 40.848, within sight of the original coordinates. TFTC.
While hunting for this cache with four kids, a lady who lives next door approached us. She knew what we were doing and told us to keep looking. She's been watching people look for it for years. W found the cache and even found the lid which had been missing.
The lady told us that the tree was being removed in the next couple of weeks. She was worried that the cache would be destroyed and suggested moving it. I told her I couldn't really do that, but she convinced me to put it in an obvious place within a few steps of the original hiding place. If the CO wants to contact me via email I could tell them the exact location, but suffice to say it's pretty obvious and nearby. Shame to see such a lovely old tree disappear.

Our last full day in Oz so decided to take a trip down The Great Ocean Road - picked up a few caches on the way.
Havng parked we began to look in the obvious place but nothing found - widened our search and then went back to the first place- it was eventualy found - though the log was fine the container is missing its lid - which could be a problem in really bad weather

I visited this museum with the caravan club we belong to a few days ago. Not many of the club members 'get' geocaching, so I did not want to hunt around for the cache while with the group. They would think I was mad because they know how much time I spend doing this activity. So I returned on my own and made the find. Good hidey hole. The museum is facinating, well worth a visit.

Invigorated by our Cape Patton caving adventure we set a course to seek some Apollo Bay caches jointly unfound by au.fait and ourselves.
This one was a bonus for us, as au.fait had found it previously and gave us a neat hint.
**FEEDBACK TO CO:** Cache container has succumb to the elements and needs some TLC please. Perhaps a fresh log sheet might be in order as well please.
Thanks to 'CK2013' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.

On our way to Apollo bay for a dirty weekend. Searching always soils our hands. Nearly to our destination but too many caches to pass by. Cache all good.
Found on a beautiful day on our holidays. Thank you very much for the cache.
Greetings from Swiss cachers.
Greetings from Swiss cachers.
Today we drove from Lorne to Apollo Bay and pick up some caches on our way over there. What a lovely way to enjoy the GOR and geocache at the same time! Shortly before getting into Apollo Bay we parked our car and walked the Apollo Bay Foreshore walk towards Apollo Bay and via the beach back. All caches were found easily…, thansk for hiding!
Found It!
Interesting bit of history. Had to wait out a bunch of school kids but after they had left I quickly found the cache!

Found with a bit of searching, on our walk along Apollo Bay Beach front. Log was full, put a new piece of paper. Tftc
We found this cache whilst out and about with Monch's Mob and BackPAQer. Found fairly quickly, and we were asked whether we found it by a local! Thanks.
We were spotted by the local resident who says she likes watching people search for the cache so don't feel shy
The cache is there! Thank you very much for this cache and greetings from Swiss geocachers.
sadly did not find the treasure it really does look like it has gone I will keep a watch ion this
VOnce again we went to Melbourne to see my bro’ and to celebrate our dual birthdays even tho he is older than I. We flew to Auckland and onto Melbourne and caught the St Kilda Express which was absolutely great as my Bro lives near there at S Caulfield, and he picked us up from there. After staying a couple of nights there when I could visit a couple of caches that were near by, we then set of on the inland route down to Warrnambool for a few nights , stopping at Lake Colac to see the water level as at our last visit 10 years ago there was hardly any water to be seen in the lake for the poor rowing club there! I am pleased to say that the water level at the moment is up the highest it has been for some time so said a local dog walker. At Warrnambool we saw the Night show at the Museum there , which was great, and then visited the area by day the next day. We had very lovely scones and jam and cream at the little café there and enjoyed seeing the ceramic Peacock that survived the wrecking of the Loch Ard and then sat in the water for several more decades. I also had time to locate several caches here and could put down the Travel bugs I had brought with me from N. Z.
After that we travelled down the The Great Ocean road and visit the many earth caches , along the coast , including the Loch Ard wrecking site and beach as well as other trad ones. After stopping at Apollo bay over night for our celebratory dinner there we then went up to geelong and spent a night here, before heading back into Melbourne for another birthday dinner with my bro’s family. Grand chn etc etc in which I was included as well.
The next couple of days we spent in the city centre and I could visit shops and caches around the area. Including the two virtuals .
Thank you to all the cache owners of the caches I visited and I have sometime included a nother comment pertaining to that specific cache.

It's 2 months since this was found and looks like some more branches have been cut off. Just wondering if tree cutting muggles might have found it ?
Thanks CK2013.
The living artifact has had recent successful surgery and the cache is still safe.

Decided to ride to this cache from the caravan park we are at and see if I would have any luck. Round and round I went. Up and down. Checked other possible locations and no luck. More round and round. Finally I got it. Way trickier than I thought but simple if I had of looked there in the first place! All closed up today but might have to visit next time we are down this way. Many thanks for the cache.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

We searched all natural places for this one and found nothing. Is it gone or did we just have a bad day? Thanks for taking us to this place anyway
On our last day in Apollo Bay we made beautiful walks and found one or the other cache.

Hardly any muggles around and a few good safe hides.
Quick find here and back on the road again.

During our holiday in Australia we have looked for one or another Cache, like this one. Greetings from Germany. tftc
Well the museum was closed but the cache was open. First in a new month. TFTC.
With a few new caches in Apollo Bay that were showing up as still unfound combine with a Public Holiday the tomorrow Ausfox;. Neville Devil and myself decided we would head over from Geelong for a late night caching run (Very Late night). Arriving in the Bay at around 10:30pm after a relatively uneventful drive. The drive home leaving the Bay around 2am was not so nice and uneventful. Three times I had to go into full emergency braking mode, with Kangaroos deciding my car was the center of attention for the night. The first two were just very near misses but the third roo after I had narrowly missed in with the passenger front end decided to turn back towards the car nudging the car around the back passenger door. Luckily there was no damage to the car only to our underwear
After we had completed the new series we continued on caching cleaning up smileys along the foreshore at stupid o'clock. We parked across the street and quietly approached as to not wake the neighbors. Given there signs I don't think they appreciate people going up the wrong driveway
Thank you CK2013 for the smiley

A last minute decision to head down the coast with simsfamily and Neville devil to grab a few caches before it was muggle central. With had a near misses with Roos along Skeenes creek road which made for an intresting drive home with Simsfamily doing well to avoid a serious incident.
Felt wrong approaching GZ at night, but thankfully made a quick find and moved on.

Easy find in a nice spot just steps from the Great Ocean Road. No swaps, lots of logs. TFTC!
Needed a break from driving anyway so we stopped for this one. More views to come!!!
Great spot amongst plenty of possibles... almost had a bit of a hobbit feel to it... excellent cache!
Take my friend from Perth.
Drive along on great ocean road.
The weather was awful but manage to get few caches.
Beautiful and view.

Very intetesting about history. Thanks for shared with me. Thanks for the cache and hunt
We're visiting from Canada to do the Great Ocean Walk, but of course we needed to find a geocache too. This was our first find on Australia, so it's definately a favorite!
We found the nice cache on our trip along the Great Ocean road.

Found it! On our day off from walking the GOW we went caching around town. Unfortunately the museum was closed as it looked very interesting. I sound made the find and left some extra paper in the container. TFTC SL
Disappointed that only rubbish in the cache plus a full log book. Took the rubbish out and left a little trinket. TFTC
Took longer than it should have but got there. Log book full. I didn't have anything with me so it would pay for the next person to take along some more paper. A small plastic bag to put the paper in would be helpful.
Quick park and grab on our way back into Apollo Bay after a day in the Otway National Park zip lining and rainforest walking! TFTC
My little girls first find. We left a travel bug behind for someone to move on please take care of it.

Great cache. Nice stop, easy for muggles to walk by undetected. Thanks for the fun.
