I was in Warragul for a cache weekend break and picked on a few high favs and AdLabs before hitting the town for lunch and an ice cream. I had to wait here for a couple of dog walkers, and I tried not to look too sketchy doing the retrieve on this cache. I've never seen one like this before so it did take a while to register as the actual cache. Thanks!
Spring Victorian Incursion 2024.Day Fifteen: Baw Baw LGAWeather: very wintery, pretty dire.It looks like this street has been hit hard by the recent wild weather; my photo shows a rather large tree now in pieces a short distance from GZ. It looks like there has been some chain saw action much closer to GZ and at first I thought that the hide might have been compromised. Then I found the cache and so no it hasnt. Thanks for this hide Bounty Trackers.
#73 19/8/2024Loved this one so much! Thank you for putting in so much effort Bounty Trackers! We hope you do more clever ones like this. Tftc!
After a message to the owner to double check it was still there came back the next day and found it
What an awesome cache!!! It surprisingly took us little to no time to locate where we thought the cache would be. Thanks for placing!
WOW - what a fantastic hide! I just have visited this GZ about 4 times , and each time I examined the GZ but never found it. Finally found it today - after some perhaps stupid luck!TFTC. TALLY HO!!!
So my sister has chosen to move back to Melbourne, and we are helping her to move back. So sat down and mapped out the fast route down and a slower route back, looking at where we might stop to collect a cache or two, and maybe fill some spots on the LGA map.In sitting talking to my dad (Cliff5009) about this, we came to realise that I do not have any LGAs in the Gippsland area. Well, given I was born at Orbost, and half the family still live from Warragul to Orbost, that seemed quite unlikely. So we sat down and figured out that since I started Geocaching in 014, I have not been back in that area.Well, we agreed that fixing that anomaly would make a lot of sense.LGA hunt number 3 for the day.Log now has my name in it and finally starting to fill some spots. Thanks for placing the cache!
Definitely a very clever cache. Had us looking for quite a while. We pretty close to giving up.
YAY - I've finally uncovered the log to sign - 10 years after my initial DNF. It certainly doesn't feel like 10 years ago since I called by and DNFed because it was a warm day, the grass was a bit too long and I was terrified of discovering a snake. Today, the grass was short with very clear visibility - just how I like GZ conditions. My GPS took me to just one structure - but where's the cache? I spied something that was out of place - sure enough, the cache was uncovered. A very clever hide. Thanks for creating and maintaining this one Bountry Trackers.PS - The Troll Dolls [TN6TR0] were with me on my great caching adventures today.
Love the camo on this one very fun, i originally thought it might pull out but nope
Heading to family in Gippsland this evening, I decided to take the scenic route and search out a few caches along the way.
In search of favorites for this month's challenge, I diverted further than I usually might to this spot I've never been to, and am glad I did.
After initially noticing the outer camo and dismissing it, a closer look made me first doubt, then smile, once the log was spotted.
Seems so wrong, but is really cleverly done.
A favourite from me for the innovative design and construction.
All in good condition.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Bounty Trackers for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Found with D@geo while in the area to attend an event.
Look and touch this item, but look else were first, before return with D@geo to make the find.

The GPSr was a bit flukey here and saw us searching in 3 different places. We both looked at the cache and then discounted it before Mrs SKI later returned and made the find. A favourite from us for a different and clever hide.
It has been quite some time since we have been out caching, but Rebel's Community Celebration Event on offer was the impetus we needed to get back out there. We were first to arrive at the event, but then a steady stream of cachers from locals to those from Melbourne. Its always good to meet new cachers and put faces to names we have come across as well as share stories.
The event went considerably longer than scheduled, but around lunch time we headed off to find some caches in the local area that we had not found or missed in the past.
It was a mixed bag with a number of DNF's early on making us think we had 'lost it", but then we came on song and made a number of finds. Some great hides and a number of favourites awarded.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Bounty Trackers.

This one took us a little while as we kept bouncing between different hiding locations. The cache notes ruled out the trees and the stump has definitely seen its fair share of searching. Reading some past logs and having a steady look around set out cacher-sense tingling. We tried an idea and viola! Very clever hide and well deserving of a favourite from us. TFTC
Woop woop - today is the day I get braces off arms (broken arm / thumb) after 6 weeks. One has to stay on but one came off so still celebrating. Obviously driving and out geocaching, mainly to hopefully avenge some DNF's in this area and some others on the way.
After a previous DNF here, today I was not leaving without it. I kept going back to a spot that I just couldn't fathom and then went for it and bingo! Now that I know where it is, this is one evil hide, so simple yet so so creative. thanks for a great cache hunt Bounty Trackers - love your work

After a week of heavy rainfall (90ml!) we were all itching to get out on this long weekend. We had recently created a list with the ‘most favourited’ caches in our region and noticed there was a glut of these in nearby Warragul. We had a lovely, chilly day finding 13 geocaches with the geokids and dog.
We had previously looked for this one to no avail, but today we spotted something unusual and revealed the clever hide quite quickly.
Thanks for the cache, well worth another favourite point ️

Out and about with MegMacca we detoured to this hide wondering if it was worthy of the fav points...soon enough team effort paid off as MegMacca located something out of place but wasn't sure...I conducted some further investigation and cache was soon located.high fives were had with this clever catch. TFTH....yes worthy of the fav points.. would have liked to have explored this place more.
Whilst we were in this area we thought we would pick up a few caches. This one inititially had us scratching our head until the Geohubby saw something that didn't look right. Soon had this in hand. Great hide.
Not the usual hides we find, and was impressed! Park was empty, allowed us time to do a good search before locating
I sat and contemplated this one for a while. And such a lovely area for contemplating! An Australian Golden Whistler came along and sang a beautiful song to me. Just what I needed. ️ I loved the clever cache itself, too. Today gets an A+ from me - thank you very much!
Beautiful day for a geocaching expedition on our way to 200 finds, this one was a little sneaky but we found it in the end TFTC
A fav point for this awesome and creative cache.
Mrs Riddell spotted it and had trouble convincing Mr Riddell that it was the cache!
We played with it and were able to see where the body of the cache should have been... but alas no log either.
So Mr Riddell went to see what spares we had in the car... and yes he cobbled something together that he could cable tie into that little holder.
We also supplied a new log, as going by a previous finders photo of proof that it had already gone AWOL.
CO may like to check, but we have done a mighty fine maintenance job here, saving this wonderful caches longevity.

No luck today, but I didn’t have time for a super detailed search and coords were jumping around a bit...
Found it at the only place it could be going on the hint, nothing left on the log see pic. TFTC

My day off work today and the weather looks crap so it's time for a drive to check out some Warragul geocaches.
Last time I was here I was going in circles to nowhere, today I walked up and looked and thought, that's it. Sometimes that's just the way it goes.

Finally the GPS gadget thing directed me to the proper GZ nicely crafted cache signed and replaced last of the gems found...TFTC BT
We arrived here to find that there had been some recent removals. We were a little worried that maybe the cache was also gone but trusting our GZ, we started looking in a slightly different place. Don't want to give anything away as this is a great hide and definitely gets a favourite from us. Thanks for placing this for us to find.
A day out with the Canberra Mega Crew resulted in a few finds in the area. We had a great day with not enough singing, only one cool hat and a lot of awesome caches! GT37 found this one. A bold hide! Thanks for placing the cache Bounty Trackers.

A fun day caching with a great bunch of friends.
A bit worried when we arrived to find what appeared to be recent tree removal.
We scouted about searching what was left here.
I spotted something a little strange, and upon closer inspection, Mrs Papi4506 revealed the very cleverly hidden cache. Very nice! A favourite point here for sure.
Cheers Bounty Trackers

Driving down to Metung on a family holiday we decided to stop and do sone caches on the way. This was a very sneaky hide. Haven't seen anything like it before. TFTC
Driven past once and had no idea where to stop so made a better play of it this time.
Nice camo here. Spotted quickly but well done.

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
I’m currently working on a Project-GC challenge to get the average word count on my logs over 200 words.
So please ignore the rest of this log as it is just nonsense and song lyrics.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, and if she had to die
Tryin' she, had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well, It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could hear the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' on the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful, when
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well I'm a-runnin' down the road try'n to loosen my load
I've got seven women on my mind
Four that want to own me, two that want to stone me
One says she's a friend of mine
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy
Lighten up while you still can
Don't even try to understand
Just find a place to make your stand, and take it easy
Well, I'm a standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It's a girl, my Lord, in a flat-bed Ford
Slowin' down to take a look at me
Come on, baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
We may lose and we may win, though we will never be here again
So open up I'm climbin' in, so take it easy
Well, I'm a runnin' down the road tryin' to loosen my load
Got a world of trouble on my mind
Lookin' for a lover who won't blow my cover, she's so hard to find
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy
Come on baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
Oh, we got it easy
We oughta take it easy

We were coming back from Trarlgon after delivering some fireworks equipment for tomorrow night and the rain had finally stopped so we decided to make a slight detour to pick up three caches while we had the chance.
We have to agree with the cache page here that the park definitely doesn't look well used, we wouldn't have even known it was a park if this cache wasn't here.
The GPSr led us directly to the cache hide but it wasn't immediately obvious how to get to the cache container.
Diane sorted that out and the log book was soon in hand, although it is looking a little worse for wear it is still useable and now contains our name.
Many thanks Bounty Trackers for a great hide, a favourite point from us.

Found with Roostaman Who was down from Wagga Wagga, we had spent the last couple of days at the Mega even and with Me still on leave it was finally time for me to find some local caches, We started off the day by heading to Chruchhill for an FTF, Then is was back to Warragul to concentrate on some local caches that I drive past while doing my bus runs.
Thanks Bounty Trackers for the cache.

Another perfect day for a drive around with Rebel Acts.
Just a few at Churchill first and then off to Warragul.
Many good safe hides and mainly quick finds.
Another good hide.

Nice little cache that we came across this evening and we needed a double take on this hide when first located. Another nice hide form the Bounty Trackers as expected. Thanks for the tricky little cache.
Away for the weekend with omegaman and Happy pants grabbing a few caches. We signing the logs under the team name HHO. While it started out as a drizzling, cool morning but turned into a reasonable day. The evening it now quite mild, if you keep moving, so we will make the most of it and grab a few more hides.
This one had us scratching our heads and pointing the torches in different directions until I rechecked something we had search previously, and the sneaky little hide was uncovered. Another great hide you've put out.
Thanks Bounty Trackers for placing the cache for us to find.

In town just for the weekend for our annual birthday weekend away.
Happy pants, Happy feet and myself are signing the logs under the team name HHO.
Cache found by torch on a cold Saturday night.
This one had us a little confused for awhile but then Happy Feet found the prize.
Cheers for the cache.

A nice area this. Looked in the wrong places for a while before spotting something that didn't quite look right. As always, something which looks reasonably official always makes one a little wary about doing anything to it, but with a bit of courage (and making sure no one was watching) I found the cache. Nice camouflage here; thanks for the cache.
After spending the morning at the Agricultural show at Lardner Park, it was only fitting that we grab a few local caches on the way home. After parking the car nice and safe, I wandered back following the GPSr which got me to 1 meter. Had a rummage here and a scratch over there but nothing was jumping out at me.
Then I saw something that just didn't look right so when I looked closer, bingo found it. What a great cache hide and so well executed. This gets a favourite point from us. TNLNSL. TFTC. KKamS

This one took us a while to find. Looked through the blackberries and followed paths that didn't lead to anything. Although glad that Humanmegawatt used to work a power station other wise we would be there a while! Very clever!
Found with Melski93.
Great camo job.
Like this type of cache.

An unexpected day of freedom today and I decided to go solo and grab as many caches as I could manage around Warragul area. This one has long been on my nemesis list after an initial hunt with mummy short legs years ago came up empty. Today I gritted my teeth and arrived with a store of determination! Hunted and hunted, followed geotrails that could well have been animal trails, tried eliminating all the afore mentioned obstacles from my search and was still coming up empty. Checked past logs and started in on the more solid options but still nothing. Then decided that maybe the grass was greener, so checked that out instead. Fiddled, got scared, then decided to fiddle some more and came trumps! Huge smiles!!! Finally put this one to rest. Just had to remove a while family of slaters and fetch some tweezers for the final autograph! Fav point and TFTC!
On a 6 day tour of Victoria with Barnzy12. Taking the red eye over from Perth we managed to visit some great places. The main reason for the travel was the Mega event in Alexandra and the opportunity to find 12 cache types in a day.
We originally travelled to Phillip bay, then up through the country side to Alexandra. Spent a few nights staying high in the snowfields and then moved over to Mt Disappointment. We then ended up back where we started returning the hire car at the airport to fly home.
Some quality caches were found all over the state, great to get a real range of cache sizes with some very large caches compared to what’s available in WA and the range of D/T options so close to each other was a bonus.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for you placements and creativity put into hiding and have awarded a few fav points based on this or the location it bought us too.

In Melbourne with Cravo10 to attend the Mega in Alexandra.
We took the red eye from Perth, leaving at 1am Thursday morning, and departed Melbourne early Tuesday morning, so it was a short five day trip.
We managed to snag a couple of nice stats for the trip. First mega event, 12 cache types in a day, 10 lab caches, 50th large cache find, and most importantly my 10,000th find at Mount Disappointment.
We spent the first day on a caching run from
Melbourne to Phillip Island where we had booked into the local caravan park for the evening. We cached all day chasing down a number of the whereigo and puzzle caches from the CF series, before ending the day caching the extremities of Phillip Island, where we had both never been, an amazing part of this country.
Next morning we cached our way to Alexandra which was the main reason for our trip to Melbourne as we had both never managed to attend a mega, which were hoping to rectify in WA next year! Attended the pre event and managed to get a couple of group FTFs by torchlight which was a real highlight.
Saturday we cached in and around Alexandra all day, chasing numbers, the highlight of the day would have to be the birdbox hides around Alexandra and the multi in Bonnie Doon from that famous TV show, a real nice touch!
Sunday was an epic caching day, chasing down 12 types in a day, which required a couple of huge drives to claim some of the rarer icons around. A huge caching stat which is a very rare feat in the Southern Hemisphere. We finished the day travelling to Mount disappointment where we found Melbourne's 1st cache and then started making a dent in the powertrail, finishing by torchlight.
Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.
Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!

Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.
Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!
Best one ever - thank you. Needs a new log - I wrote in last space. Thanks heaps Bounty Tracker
Finally found this one by being brave with exploring possible places it could be hidden. In previous visits I'd searched lots of other spots, so there weren't many other places it could be. Luckily not many people using the road while I was retrieving and returning the log. A nemesis finally solved. Thanks for the challenge.
This one had us stumped. Eventually found it with Kryslazz. Very sneaky! The log is a little wet and I think it may be missing its lid?? Loved it!
OMG Warragul with the goods.... I loved this one. My instinct proved on target today. Walked away after thinking nahhh.... looked in a few other places, but found myself going back to it over and over again. Right... Can this be it?? If it is.... How? I got ya though you amazing little cache. I win! Only just though. Favourite for sure. TFTC
Warragul[?] An event[?] Mega something or other[?] Hmmm, maybe I'd better go and see what this is all about!
How could I say no to a day trip with Cybergran V for an event and some caching in an area where I don't think I have ever cached before!
Lots of fun was had and I even got to hassle a security guard later in the night when I did a virtual cache that unexpectedly popped up on my GPSr screen [^]
I attended 1 event for my first cache find for the day and then found 16 more actual caches
Sometimes though it isn't about the quantity but it's more about the quality and the people that you have shared time with [^]
A group of us arrived and looked here, there and everywhere until eventually the cache was found in the frist place that we had looked
Lots of fun

After attending the event locus cache and I arrived here to find some members of the group we'd been caching with earlier, waiting to see if we could find this one. locus cache spoiled their fun by locating it very quickly.
Still it is a clever cache and worthy of a favourite point, for the fun it gave us.

A fun find with geodaughter Stormgirl13 and new friends cybergranv and locus cache. After looking in the obvious spots, I re-read the description, looked around and spotted something that seemed like it didn't belong where it was. Sure enough, a nicely constructed cache was revealed, a favourite point from me Thanks for helping make our afternoon in Warragul a wonderful one.
I called where the cache was but mum/#SEALTeam4 found where it was so we both technically found the cache. Nice cache to finish of the day with a group. Thanks to all the ladys who went on this caching adventure with us
On the way to Warragul for the 7 Months to Alexandra Event and I'm getting an early start to do a few "special" caches on the way down.
Reckon I could see where it might have been but I'm no expert at this kind of thing so I'll have to save this up for another day.
**Thanks for placing this cache Bounty Trackers**

Clever little hide finally can make it into a smiley, have been making one very much the same to place near my home, have the correctly branded material too, thanks Bounty Hunters a very tricky cache which now has my stampsign in it
TFTC. Had a good look around where GPSr showed, but cache would not show itself, thanks for showing this park, and I will return to try again
Logged with GeoCaches iOS application, 228.23 km. from the cache

Nice hide. Had to come here to bring my new mower back yet again, so while they do there bad job I decided to find a cache... Quickly found, and nicely executed .. Fav from us
Very well hidden! After a second look it became very obvious aha. Log is still in good shape, no work needed. First time I've seen this type of hide. Received a favourite point from myself.
