Looked for 45 minutes for this one with no luck. We were apparently within 1m but couldn’t find it!!
Could not find this one. We are unsure if it is still there or in its original spot. We did not reach ground zero at any time so we were a bit confused.
Timely to escape the smoke and fire threats in the NE and catch up with some buddies in Somers and Mt Eliza AND get out on the MTB to explore the trails along the beach since it’s not really swimming beach weather. A great series and so much care and thought has gone into creating lots of fun hides. series On a mission today to collect 50 + and keep the streak alive so TFTC and series.
Found by Mary and David, in company with pprass, at 13:25. The first day on the Bay Trail for both teams. Could have picked better weather though. Only the second day of summer, but there was a cold south-westerly blowing, and rain showers passing through, so we lost a couple of hours in the morning waiting for the worst of the rain to pass. This cache took us the longest time to find. Our indicated GZ was far enough away that we spent a long time looking in wrong but plausible places. Finally used the PAF option, and were given a fairly specific kind of place to check. Even then, we had been searching there for several more minutes before pprass spotted it in a more open place than we'd expected. Despite that, it deserves a FP. Our thanks to BorisB&Natasha.
Found at 1:27 PM GAFF4 in the company of maccamob.
Ay carumba! We spent ages searching and once again had out dated information. Eventually it was spotted - but could so easily been missed. Very effective camo.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha

Our main goal today was to seek out as many of this series of Bay Trail caches as we could. We enjoyed the many varied, interesting and clever caches found along the way and so many thanks to the COs for all the time, work and effort involved in having created the caches, laid them and maintained them - we had a great day out! This one took a few minutes of searching and then expanding our search area before we spotted the very nicely camouflaged cache. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Last Saturday I looked on geocaching map for possible areas to go caching. This power trail catched my eyes when I went to a CITO nearby last month. It took me more than 2 hours to reach the area but it was worthwhile. The coastline is amazing.
Even without muggles it took me a while to find it. It is a tricky one. Made me smile when I found it.

In the area to attend a CITO this morning and just chasing a couple of nearby caches as well.
I DNF'd this on a long time ago and almost did it again, it was a last minute scan before I left that turned up the prize. Not moments earlier I must have been looking right at it, maybe through it might be a better description.

I was up earlier than normal for a Sunday so headed down here early before the CITO just up the beach a bit started so a perfect opportunity to find a few more of these to finish off the series one day. I was very cool and quite windy which was good because it kept the muggles away.
I met BernieH here this morning who had just found this one and he was nice enough to do a colder, colder, warmer, warmer so I good get in the area I needed. Nice camo, a favourite from me.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Our phones seem to be all over the place today. Looked in the wrong spot and then noticed it on the way leaving. Beautiful walk along here. Tftc

Out and about with echidna44 and au-fait for the day ticking off some in this wonderful beach location. The weather was not looking to nice but it did not dampened the crew. Having parked a car at one end we are now in for the walk. The best about doing this in the off season and not so good weather is that not many people are around. This one had us going for quite some time. We all had it a meters away. Thanks for the variety and quality of these caches BorisB&Natasha & Nut Bear it can have a favourite for being right there where we couldn't see.
Out with xambo4u and au.fait, we decided to cache along the foreshore, starting at Safety Beach. A cool day with intermittent rain was not enough to deter us.
This one had us searching here there and everywhere. We were about to give up, when xambo4u spied the well camouflaged cache, great relief . Thanks BorisB&Natasha &Nut Bear

Out for a day in the great company of echidna44 and xambo4u to do a section of the Bay Trail and of course collecting caches along the way with an ambitious list ahead of us. A car shuffle had 14 caches between us and lunch, which had us picnicking in a shower. Following this a further shuffle with another 14 on our list. A lovely walk, and excellence in both the quality of the caches and the company made for a memorable day. And a memorable cache. Had us looking for ages but mostly in the wrong place. Almost gave up when xambo4u spied it a favourite point TFTC BorisB&Natasha & Nut Bear

We were here a while until OzHockeyChick spotted it. That's some brilliant camouflage, very well hidden. The coords were pretty accurate too once they actually settled. Thanks
Took a while to spot it, but when we finally found it, what an A-HA moment. Loved the camo. FP from me.
Nice camo..... took a while....

Now that the weather has cooled down (at least for a few days) I am back to take decently long walks. I've neglected undertaking the Bay Trail series for a long, long time assuming that it simply takes too long to get too from the southeastern suburbs.
After paying attention to the distance and travel times I realise that was truly an erroneous assumption. In a smooth drive taking less than an hour I was at the end of the first section of the trail. That's a far, far better use of travel time than trying to get from the southern suburbs out the other end of the city and into the northern outskirts or even out Eltham way. I doubt I need to mention the difference in traffic flows. Anyone traveling those routes will understand.
Of course these logs shouldn't be taken up with the travel experience or at least not wholly so. The walk along the trail was something to savour. A wide variety of environments from the usual exposed coastal paths that can be experienced in the inner Bayside suburbs to what felt like heathland common to more inland areas like Langwarrin this path had it all and shifted between experiences frequently.
Now to the caches themselves. Well, what can be said about BorisB&Natasha hides? Sometimes frustrating (GC4AGQ6 eluded me even with a good half hour of looking) to the delightful (GC4AGQ8) to the innovative (GC4AGQG) I enjoyed them all. I'm going to award a favourite to GC4AGQB which wasn't any of those but rather caused much, much cache blindness which given the lack of foliage in the nearby trees bordering the path nearby and the geotrail over the fence makes me feel I'm not the only one. When I laid eyes on it, well, we all know the feeling Thanks BorisB&Natasha for making what would be a simple, long walk into a bit of an adventure. I look forward to a few more along the trail in the near future.

Liked this one took a little looking around as the GPS was taking us to the wrong tree, but eventually found just hanging around, TFTC.
Had been advised by a fellow cacher that there was a new fence erected at GZ and cache was missing. Visited today with a new one to take its place but found the original lying on the ground. Had to move it as the new fence no longer offered protection.

A need to get out of the house these holidays, we sized up another section of the Bay Trail. This time picking up at the Dromana end. Sunshine escorted us all the way down the track, as did the wind.
Song trivia - my kids had to sing this one at one of their school productions.

Thanks for the cache. A nice find while walking up the beach for a lovely Sunday stroll.
Lovely walk on the beach tonight with the kids. Had to sneak off on the Grandparent to get this one as she not “into that kind of thing”.
Nephew very happily made the find. Signed and replaced.
Thank-you for bringing us to such a beautiful spot, pity we won’t be able to do more for quite a while.

I originally found this cache with my Mum heymissjo, but now that I have my own account, I am logging. Thanks for the cache.
For the past few years I have cached as part of "team heymissjo", but now I am old enough to have my own account so logging the find. Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache, family Boxing Day outing, first beach cache, out with hiccup3137 and kids
Clever hide for this cache hidden in plain sight when you focus on it. You don’t need to go into the relegation area to recover the cache.
Having a very wet walk along the waterfront. The only upside is that there are fewer muggles than usual.
Great variety of cache containers kept us on our toes. Wish we had more favourite points to award.

"All the leaves are brown. And the sky is grey." It might be spring, but the skies were grey today. And we did go for a walk. TFTC BorisB&Natasha and Nutbear.

DNF on my first pass. This time with sunnies removed it was found in seconds! Love the inventiveness and the clue is spot on!
Down to Dromana for work but time for a quick cache or two. Another that follows the theme - love this series.
Sneaky camouflage that I noticed the first time but disregarded, good hide! (Forgot to log yesterday, whoops)
Wow, we actually thought we were in the wrong place because the cache was so well camoflauged!! Fantastic design, TFTC
Found after a short search. Geo Junior loved this one, he's a beginning catcher and he overlooked it initially. After spotting it I pointed out to him and he thought it was fantastic.
Thanks for the fun.

Omg!! Watch out!! She's on a roll!! I have my blinkers on today!! Haha!! Tftc!!
Great cache. Loving this walk. Petty I don't have more time. I love coming down here. I guess I will have to come here more often
A case of "I'll look right at it and not see it" and then geo-hubby spots it immediately. Sat on the park bench in the sun to enjoy signing this one. TFTC.
Perfect winters day for caching, thought ti was time for some family time (away from the stresses and busyness of life). So the Rennige family out for a walk and catch some caches on the Bay Trail (on foot) with the pooch with us as well.
Master 12 found this one, lovely winters day.. and yes we were singing the song.

Great camo! I looked straight past it a few times. I'm a bit hit and miss with the trail so far. First time caching alone so feel weird poking around in bushes by myself. No kids with me as a distraction
Quick find as the sun is setting. Pretty good view to be signing a log to. Tftc
I found a smattering of caches from this series while walking through, starting with this one. GPS didn't seem to serve as a particularly good guide here, for whatever reason, but I did investigate the correct spot fairly swiftly regardless. Which is not to say that I found the cache swiftly. That didn't happen until the second or third pass, I'm sad to report. Thanks Nut bear & BorisB&Natasha!
Was looking at it not quite seeing it .. once you see it you wonder why you didnt see it at first
Found it! Out on a short ride along this section of the trail with Ms Geokid 3 and one of her mates. The kids were in control of the GPS and got us to GZ without drama but the camo on this one defeated them. A few quick pointers about what should or shouldn't be there and they soon had it though...TFTC...
Enjoying this series and bike trail.
This one had me wandering around a bit before returning to the original start point and making a surprising find.
This gets a fave point for its sneaky nature and great view.
Thanks Nut bear

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches. I have got a nice streak going and hoping to let it run for as long as possible. This may or may not become easier now that I have found a job but I’m still currently staying with my brother (stinky tom) and his family which includes my nephew (stinky bob).
A big thanks goes out to all the cachers and cache owners without whom this lifestyle would not be possible.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work. Everyone likes finding a well maintained cache with a dry logbook.

Little bit of cache blindness finding this one in its new spot with jojess and jaktembo lol. Thanks again for the cache.
Came with Kejajo89 and Jojess. Kejajo89 found this month's before it's location was changed so after we looked for a while and couldn't find it she helped us. But alas! It wasn't there. A quick stroll through the logs and we realised its location had changed and cache was found in spite of its awesome camo.
Found on a hot summers day while on a ride with mark9375 and geojill-11. Mark needed 28 cache's to make his 1000 target by the end of the year this was a nicely constructed cache tftc

Sorry for the generic log on this one but my life has been a bit overwhelming lately and I cannot exactly remember the exact details of each and every cache on the trail that I did today, not many but enough. Anyways I spent today rechecking caches that I had found to fill in the clues that I had missed in the previous caches that I had found and adding more clues haha. Anyways thanks for the cache, I am really enjoying the serious, we all appreciate all the effort you go into making these quality caches. Cheers

Had a quick look around for this one but unfortunately I was a bit stumped on what the camouflage could possibly be. So it is most likely still there evading me, but due to my allocated time out geocaching coming to an end I had to quickly move on to the next cache before I had to leave. Anyways thanks for the cache anyways I will be back for revenge to claim this elusive smily
Today we continued with the Bay Trail. We had enjoyed the series yesterday and wanted to look for more. This exceptionally well cammoed cache was found in an good hide after a short hunt. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Nut_bear and BorisB&Natasha for the cache and the series. The camo on this cache earns a favourite for the cache.
Find #2466
Had a work meeting down this way with a convenient finishing time so was able to use my lunch break to search for a few caches. Had more luck than previously on this trail and after a slow start I made five finds in total. This was the first one I tried and made hard work of it! My GPS seemed a little off and when I tried spots that matched the hint I still couldn't see it. After a third or fourth look in one spot my eye caught something I hadn't seen before and the cache was in hand. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and a great series Nut bear.

We will apologise right from the start for the generic logs.We came here this morning from Warragul to ride our bikes on the Trail and find a few Caches. From the few that we did today this is going to be a great series. Thanks and well done guys. We will be back
Once we checked to see the updated clue, we were able to locate this cache quickly! Thanks for updating it to help us out! No muggles in GZ but plenty passing by on this gorgeous sunny day! TFTC
We had a quick search on our way to the shops and thought we would take our time on the way back but Muggles or another Geofamily pulled in to GZ. Will have to wait for another day!
