We think we found the placement of the cache but the cache seems to be gone. Message sent to cache owner.

No luck

Very clever case that definitely needs a little attention. There is currently no log book in here and the case is partly broken and doesn't look like it will last very long.

Found by Mary and David, in company with pprass, at 12:30. The first day on the Bay Trail for both teams. Could have picked better weather though. Only the second day of summer, but there was a cold south-westerly blowing, and rain showers passing through, so we lost a couple of hours in the morning waiting for the worst of the rain to pass. Found this one fairly quickly, but it took us ages to extract the log, trying a variety of TOTT in the process. Our thanks to BorisB&Natasha.

02-Dec-19
Found at 12:24 PM GAFF3 in the company of maccamob.
Now it was blowing an absolute gale and we had to shelter behind the bathing box. After finding where the log sheet was - we couldn't get it out! Took ages with the few tools that we had.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha

Glad I bought my tweezers with me. Very clever hide. Tftc

16-Nov-19
TFTC did my best to replace it so it can be retrieved. Won’t be easy but doable with small fingers.

14-Nov-19
Well hidden and in good shape. Thanks from this Canadian cacher

01-Nov-19
Our main goal today was to seek out as many of this series of Bay Trail caches as we could. We enjoyed the many varied, interesting and clever caches found along the way and so many thanks to the COs for all the time, work and effort involved in having created the caches, laid them and maintained them - we had a great day out! We soon located this niftily hidden cache once at Ground Zero. The log book was missing and so we added a new log sheet. Thanks so much for the cache (we’ve taken Manfred Mann on safari twice!) and greetings from Zimbabwe

Found this cache but there was no log to sign (i think what looks like a log deep inside the cache is actually not a log.)

Last Saturday I looked on geocaching map for possible areas to go caching. This power trail caught my eyes when I went to a CITO nearby last month. It took me more than 2 hours to reach the area but it was worthwhile. The coastline is amazing.

A quick find. Unfortunately we didn’t have tweezers and the log was back a ways. Good fun all the same. Another smart cache!

We are on fire today, although we had no tweezers so didn't sign the log book. TFTC.

Out and about with echidna44 and au-fait for the day ticking off some in this wonderful beach location. The weather was not looking to nice but it did not dampened the crew. Having parked a car at one end we are now in for the walk. The best about doing this in the off season and not so good weather is that not many people are around. Excellent hide here. Thanks for the variety and quality of these caches BorisB&Natasha & Nut Bear

21-Jun-19
Out with xambo4u and au.fait, we decided to cache along the foreshore, starting at Safety Beach. A cool day with intermittent rain was not enough to deter us.
We were just about blinded by the light once the GPS settled. A clever hide that I had seen before.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha & Nut Bear.

We were caught in another downpour as we arrived here, so tried to get some shelter at the side of the building. When it eased off my hunch was right and I found it in the second place I checked. I always like this type of hide. Thank you!

Down on the Peninsula for a week's holiday and doing some random caches while we do the tourist thing. Picking up another couple of the Bay Trail Series today. As we have seen other similar hides Mrs Pooky was able to make a quick easy find. TFTC.

11-Mar-19
This cache completely puzzled us all until we were literally “blinded by the light”! Make sure to persevere when looking for this one!

Apologies for the late log, Had a little bit of time to spare today so managed to get a few done along the Bay Trail and nearby. A couple I will need to come back to but nine finds in all so pretty pleased with that haul on a very nice afternoon down the peninsula. After a find nearby I left the car where it was and walked on to this one. The penny dropped when I read the hint and shortly after I had the cache in hand. A style I have come across before which made it a little easier I guess. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and the series BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.

Team Nekochan and I were visiting the Mornington Peninsular with our friends from Japan (DaisuObin and NaokObin) and found our selves near a cache we had found but unable to sign the log book previously.

Despite there were a lot of people on the beach itself enjoying the lovely weather, no one was around GZ, unlike last time.

Without delay I grabbed the cache and we all signed the log and quickly returned the cache to it's hiding place before we were noticed.

After that we went and did some wine tasting in Red Hill.

Great day was had by all.

I was happy to be able to claim this cache as a find after our previous visit that saw two Ladies sitting right on top of GZ, whom wouldn't move away.

We had a lovely day with DaisuObin and NaokObin, and the water at the beach was a lovely bright blue colour.

Now that the weather has cooled down (at least for a few days) I am back to take decently long walks. I've neglected undertaking the Bay Trail series for a long, long time assuming that it simply takes too long to get too from the southeastern suburbs.
After paying attention to the distance and travel times I realise that was truly an erroneous assumption. In a smooth drive taking less than an hour I was at the end of the first section of the trail. That's a far, far better use of travel time than trying to get from the southern suburbs out the other end of the city and into the northern outskirts or even out Eltham way. I doubt I need to mention the difference in traffic flows. Anyone traveling those routes will understand.
Of course these logs shouldn't be taken up with the travel experience or at least not wholly so. The walk along the trail was something to savour. A wide variety of environments from the usual exposed coastal paths that can be experienced in the inner Bayside suburbs to what felt like heathland common to more inland areas like Langwarrin this path had it all and shifted between experiences frequently.
Now to the caches themselves. Well, what can be said about BorisB&Natasha hides? Sometimes frustrating (GC4AGQ6 eluded me even with a good half hour of looking) to the delightful (GC4AGQ8) to the innovative (GC4AGQG) I enjoyed them all. I'm going to award a favourite to GC4AGQB which wasn't any of those but rather caused much, much cache blindness which given the lack of foliage in the nearby trees bordering the path nearby and the geotrail over the fence makes me feel I'm not the only one. When I laid eyes on it, well, we all know the feeling Big Grin Thanks BorisB&Natasha for making what would be a simple, long walk into a bit of an adventure. I look forward to a few more along the trail in the near future.

Nice hint. Clever cache construction. Last day of leave so very quiet and easy retrieval with extraction tool. Tftc

If I could favourite every cache on this trail, I would! Hidden in plain sight caches never cease to amaze me... a hidden treasure that most have no idea exist! Easy hints allowed us to keep moving, avoid muggles and enjoy the beautiful views. THANK YOU

Felt very stealthy extracting this one with many muggles around!

03-Jan-19
Wandered along the trail after lunch and stopped to have a quick look for this. I had an idea of what I might be looking for and I was right. Managed to retrieve with no interruptions. TFTC

Team Nekchan and I actually eyeballed this cache, but as two ladies were sitting on the retaining wall metres away from GZ we couldn't retrieve it to sign the log.

We walked past the spot a few times until we could identify were it was hidden, and my GPSr even went down to zero metres for maybe the first time ever.

We tried waiting them out, but they settled in for the afternoon talking about relationship issues.

I have adeed a photo taken from of the ladies sitting on the wall (they look like blobs) as a way to remember them by.

I have added this cache to my watch list for the next time I go to Dromana so I can claim a smilely face.

Well this one had us stumped for a while. Feeling a little cold now. But the challenge of the hunt is always better. Great camo. After looking at the cache a number of time, we were soon back in the car signing. TFTC. And thanks for the trail.

29-Jul-18
Well this on had Drewbert81 and myself on a good hunt for this one. Checked every spot known to man to finally find it where we started looking in the first place. Drewbert didn’t come out with a jacket on this cold windy day so he may have a mild case of hypothermia after this long find.

14-Jul-18
Very clever. Great clue. Thanks.

14-Jul-18
Great hide Smile glad we had tweezers!

06-Jul-18
A need to get out of the house these holidays, we sized up another section of the Bay Trail. This time picking up at the Dromana end. Sunshine escorted us all the way down the track, as did the wind.

Song trivia - The line 'Blinded by the light' is the only part of this song I can remember.

Thirteenth and last geocaching day in Australia.
The temperature was so hot (44°C this afternoon) that we decided to try to find some refreshing wind on the seashore before catching our flight back to France; well, half a success...
But at least I had the chance to find 6 additional caches.
This one was the fifth, and the most difficult to find. I think I never met this camo before, and I would probably have logged a DNF without the hint.
I award one favourite point.
Many thanks to the owners for te cache and the nice walk.

26-Dec-17
I can see the cache, but cannot retrieve it. I'll need to return with tweezers.

23-Dec-17
Very creative

Soon found took longer to extract the log as I’m unfortunately tool less Smile

Love the beach huts, just like the ones in Whitby UK

Sneaky one,nicely hidden.

26-Nov-17
Having a very wet walk along the waterfront. The only upside is that there are fewer muggles than usual.
Great variety of cache containers kept us on our toes. Wish we had more favourite points to award.

22-Nov-17
Similar to one we placed recently, which made me look where I found it. Very hard to extract container but eventually managed to do so with a tool I had at hand. Great cache. Thanks.

"Blinded by the light. Revved up like a deuce", as we went round and round looking for GZ. TFTC BorisB&Natasha and Nutbear.

We came down to Portsea for the weekend thanks to a hotel voucher we received as a wedding gift earlier in the year. We found this cache on Saturday on our way back to Portsea after our horseriding winery tour in the morning and then a quick lunch at the Red Hill Bakery. TFTC Smile

15-Oct-17
Very busy around GZ, but a hand and a rest was all that was needed. However with the lid removed I found that there was no cache connected! Perhaps a bit of fishing wire is missing here? As luck would have it I still had my modded tool and I was able to 'hook' the cache out from its hide. I'm sure many wondered what I may have been doing examining the spot, but then maybe they were too focused on the amazing weather.

11-Oct-17
Found, buy didnt have tweezers with me to retrieve and sign log!!

24-Sep-17
We seen the light on a shitty day in melbourne. Although we didn't have the right tools to retrieve the log so we couldn't log our find on the paper. Cool hide though.

31-Aug-17
Nice easy one on the way home from work. TFTC

You light up the girls day!! Especially on this cloudy day!!

10-Jul-17
On a roll today!!!! And we even saw a huge seal!

24-Jun-17
Clever hide, actually found it quickly in the dark! Cheers tftc

04-Jun-17
Perfect winters day for caching, thought ti was time for some family time (away from the stresses and busyness of life). So the Rennige family out for a walk and catch some caches on the Bay Trail (on foot) with the pooch with us as well.

Had to be quick with this one as so many muggles nearby , saw the resident seal having a snooze on the grass, area is all cornered off...

30-May-17
Second try. Found it but could not get it out first time. After another cache we came back with an ingenious idea and succeeded. Favourite for this one. Tftc

11-May-17
I spent a very pleasant morning cycling from Blairgowrie to the Information Centre at Dromana. I found most of the caches I looked for, but the odd trickier one escaped me. The philosophy of the day was to keep moving, anything that wasn’t found in a couple of minutes looking went unfound. Thanks to all of those who have put the effort into setting up and maintaining this series. Cheers and TFTC

06-May-17
Such a Beautiful time of day. The light is incredible. Someone put the cache in the wrong way making extraction incredibly difficult, however next level engineering skills (the use of a foot) and we had it in our hands in no time. Thanks for this one Smile

04-May-17
Late log [7/5/17]: I didn't actually sign this one. As someone arriving subsequently has already noted the cache was backwards and very hard to extract. Impossible, I reckoned at the time, give the busy-ness and lack of implements. It could possibly do with some attention as the thingy in the photograph was no longer attached. A nice construction despite all that. Thanks Nut bear & BorisB&Natasha! Feel free to delete this log seeing as my signature won't be found anywhere. Smile
