Last one for the day and was very pleased to make a quick find. Rolled away the camo rock and soon had the logbook in hand and signed. Once again, I sat in the shade and enjoyed a drink before heading back to the car and then for home. Thanks again UltimateGeoCacheTeam....will be back to finish the series over the weekend.
Found by caughtatwork on 01/11/2024 at 10:17:00 AMA easy find after a bit of a stroll from the carpark. Track was in good order.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
Found in good condition with catnap777. [^]21 September 2024 Not mush room for swaps .....Kidding. Day one was mostly spent rounding up caches in the "Rocky" series. [B)] This was day two of our assault on Lerderderg which had us making our way as far along Square Bottle Track as "Whiskey Creek Circuit...Worth Bottlin'" before heading back to the car and relocating further south for a bit of a go at Ah Kow Track on the other side of Mt Blackwood. It was a ripper day that started back in Hepburn Springs (where we had spent the night) looking over a couple of Earth Caches there, before making our way to Lerderderg for another walk in the park.
21 September 2024 15:00Just because we didn't think we had done enough hiking this weekend, dalerious and I decided to drive to this end of the park, hop out the car and go for another hike through the hills. This is after claiming 4 Rocky caches and undertaking 5 >10km walks, so far. After enjoying a leisurely stroll finding and signing this series, we noticed another traditional a kilometer further down the track; ah, what the hell, you only live once right.Boy, what a journey that was........but that's another story which I will tell later. Was so lovely to see the themed containers still in existence for this lot. It made for a fun trek. You have a wonderful sense of humour mudbrick. We especially loved Storm in a C Cup!All caches were found in good condition. Thank you UGCT for looking after these gems. Please note I will use this same log for all along Ah Kow trail, except "gesundheite".
Great 5.5 hrs trekking round Lerderberg Gorge today. My route was across the Ah Kow track across to the Bear Head Range track and up to the Fox Gully track.Just on 5.5hrs covered and some heavy elevation changes too.Managed to pick up 12 smileys including some love on a few too!Little of the track here.I made harder work of this than needed.Got there in the end.Signed and moved on!TFTC
A great start to a series along the trail, enjoying the view and the laughs with deanside, who spots most of them before I did.
Thanks UltimateGeoCacheTeam for placing this cache and contributing to this great game. I love to hang out with these guys. Lovely walk with the Geopup and Connieandrick. Happy trails, Deanside

We were now settling in on our stroll in the hills, the drizzle was clearing away and the body was handling this section of the track without any trouble.
The hides along here are all fairly straight forward so we were in and out pretty quickly, on to the next.
**Thanks to Mudbrick & UltimateGeoCacheTeam for placing this cache.**

What did the mushroom’s sing when they won the closed-cup?
We are the champignons!
Shrine still intact interesting landscape, love the quartz skatered everywhere.
Out for a lovely walk, and picking up a few caches. The one who hides these must be a fun guy. TFTC
Tricky find, just watch your step and you will be fine. Thankyou for this find. Cache all in great condition
Having a day out in the Lederderg Forest and collecting a few caches while i enjoy this area and the magic mushroom, or is it the poisonous type TFTC mudbrick
I’m on a roll today but it is hard going having to dodge all the tree tops hanging up as don’t what to be walking under any of them if they do let go and fall down on my head Safety first

Oh no! Our fun-guy! It’s broken!!! Sorry, got a TikTok stuck in my head. The top of it has come off at some point… probably from partying too hard… but if anything it looks more natural now. The cache is in excellent condition and looks like it was placed yesterday! It’s a perfect spot for it. I’m truly enjoying myself out here. It’s so peaceful. TFTC
I love this part of the world! Have been here once before but today was the time to walk the whole Ah Kow track. Beautiful bird calls. Out surrounded by nature. Thanks for the hide
TFTC. We found this little funguy quickly and then we were off again to grab our next smilie for the day
Tftc - great day out in a beautiful area. I love how these takes you places you would never see...
Another nice themed container! The screw top on the cache has cracked off a bit from the top of the cache, so it may not be entirely waterproof. Tftc
This started out as a hike. Then I decided that since I prefer trail running, maybe I'd wear my running gear so as to speed things up. Then while deciding where to go/what caches to chase, I decided to include a walk along Lerderderg Gorge where there is no path. So was it a hike? Was it a trail run? I'm going to call it an adventure run. There was running, there was hiking, there was wading along and across the river, there was scrambling down and climbing up. And there was geocaches
17km, 670m of elevation gain, 5hrs and 13 caches later, I returned to my car. What a day!
Amanita Muscaria - one of my favorite fungi.
Thanks

We picked this cache up at 11:52am. I really liked the themed container we found here
I picked up the other caches in this series way back in 2015, when I was a lot more broken. Back then the first three was all I could manage. Today I headed out with a buddy from work, the newly christened Galaxy Monkey. We picked up most of the trail and hard a great walk in nice cool weather.
Thanks for the cache and the series UltimateGeoCacheTeam.

After attending two events at Pikes Res today i had plans to kayak there afterwards to find some of the mystery caches hidden around there. But with the weather turning nasty i had this small series of caches recommended to me to find instead.
I found the first three or four in order before deciding to head straight to the last one in case the rain set in then work my way back to the car. It was at the last cache i met up with Alansee and we then teamed up and headed back together.
A great series of caches, loved the novelty cache companions and the play on words in the titles. Thx mudbrick for placing and to the UltimateGeoTeam for maintaining. Cheers!

Found these caches on a cold but not too bad day. Each one was a clever play on words apart from one which appears to have been replaced. Met Perpetuallylost when just heading back and enjoyed his company. Many thanks to mudbrick and the UltimateGeocacheTeam for placing and maintaining the caches.
Found a bit of spare time today so I thought I would use it productively and find a few caches.
A couple of different walking tracks to take but I was after the one that had a few cache’s on it.
Parked the Geocruiser, picked the right track and off I went in search of a few more.
I’m getting a kick out of all the great themed containers along this track.
And also the dad jokes.
Thanks mudbrick & UltimateGeoCache Team TFTC.

Sorry for the ridiculously late log (almost 3 years), but it seems to have been an oversight.
Classic Mudbrick cache, love it. I got started early on this day and had to keep moooving along as I was to get home, have a nap and prepare for nightshift. As the CO knows, I love the fun guy humour of the original CO. Thanks for keeping this one going Peter.

Yah - I guessed this one correctly.
Today the whole Sistema crew hit the Ah Know track. The walk didn't look too bad and I knew they would be caches that would make us chuckle. And they didn't disappoint. We had lots of fun. Enjoyed the walk and loved the wildflowers. No one but us on this track today. Many many thanks for the cache in a unique hidden location.

After some caching along the Razorback track earlier in the morning I made my way south to look for the only unfound caches I still have in the Lerderderg SP - 5 caches along the Ah Kow track!
Ah, Mudbrick - what a Fun guy to cache with !
Thanks, Mudbrick and UltimateGeoCacheTeam.
3 down, 2 to go.

We had a great afternoon last weekend venturing along the Ah Kow track with 2 adults, 9 kids and 3 dogs. The kids had so much fun navigating and scampering around the bush racing to find each cache. The dogs were enjoying the freedom. Anticipation was building as we journeyed along excited to see what the next suprise would be!! Unfortunately we had to cut the trip short as tummies were rumbling and the sun was dissappearing.
Thanks for a great series!! Hopefully we'll be back to finish it soon
** At this point one of the geokids was suprised by what she thought was a creepy cache guardian only to find out it was a slough lol.

The Bazinga clan came up to Lerdy for a hike and make the most of the warm weather before winter.
This is a great series and we love the imagination that has gone into some of these.

Another fun little find on this entertaining series, that was well worth the Sunday walk in the sticky heat. Has us thinking we need to do more family-friendly caching! All good at GZ. Log signed and replaced as found. Tally ho and on to the next. Cheers!
Still in the early stages of a Lerderderg trak with Team Justice and some friends... such an enjoyable way to start the walk with the nice, easy and entertaining caches. TFTC!
Walking the Ah Kow track with Clint&Abby.
We found this very rare funji hiding in the cache location. The taste was very chalk'ish and now not sure what type of mushroom it was.....not sure if it was magic. Perhaps Tim took some for when we walked down to the waterfall?

I have been meaning to to a few more of this series but I am always hesitant to venture into the gorge on my own. Today I had Tess the geodog for company and it was a perfect day for getting a few of these turned into smilies. Love your work and your humour muddy.
Certainly is a large fungi. I have actually seen one this colour in the bush. Amazing. thanks Graham. Cheers Caz

Today was my monthly caching run with Biggles Bear, and the area today was around Mt Blackwood. The bulk of the caches were along a couple of great walks, with a few extras around Bacchus Marsh at the end. Nice quick find along an enjoyable walking track.
My thanks to mudbrick for the cache.

Found 10:16:00 AM, found in the company of Muzza, during our regular monthly caching expedition. This month we chose to head out into the wild of the Lerderdeg State Park and environs to collect some of the caches there.

Found by Mary & David at 1225. Hadn't really focussed on this cache name until finding the container, then it was obvious. Another quick find. Our thanks to mudbrick.

We were quite enjoying our walk and having a great chat as we found each one. We saw a huge chunk of fungi on the way back to the car and suggested that a log writer in another mudbrick cache logbook had a munch on this one. Another laugh and another quick find.
We had the morning to cache after Granny offered to look after the little Na'wals. We decided to look at a walk in the Lerderderg State Park and wanted to get out early before the very hot day that was forecast. 42deg plus strong winds but we had done our homework and were happy to make the trip in. Alchey joined my geo wife and myself for the trip. We were very glad the walk was over once back at the car, a great morning it was before the very hot winds and sun. Stamped and replaced as found.

Christmas duties all fulfilled, on a reasonably cool day for December , we fled the city and the long lines of traffic outside the shopping malls to do a bit of much needed exercise and bag a few caches as our reward. This series provided imaginative and humorous caches and, all bar one, were in good condition. We saw plenty of butterflies and birds and a few kangaroos kept pace before vanishing into the scrub.
A single, lonely, and possibly poisonous fungus defended this cache. We won.
Thanks and cheers!

The terrain hasn't too bad so far, but know I'm noticing it is starting to drop down. While that's fine for the next caches in the series, it's the return I'm worried about !! Another great container, didn't expect any less. TFTC mudbrick.
Another creative hide. Easy walk, dog loving life, thanks for bringing me here mudbrick.
TFTC great hide out nice and early loving this place. Its a mish but fully read for some more sick finds. Great cameos along the way beaut walk.
The going was good along this track. It is obviously well used judging by the well formed diversions around at least 3 trees that have fallen across the main path.
I guessed this hide spot on, but what else could it be.
Cheers

The name fell into place when we found the cache. Great swaps and another fantastic cache container. Thanks for the hide. Caching today with Tomstache and Glanville Girls.
Since just a few days in Australia, we decided to do this bush walk. What a lovely tour. We appreciated the varied cache hide, discovered kangaroos and cockatoos and enjoyed the wonderful views. Thank you for the gorgeous tour and greetings from Switzerland.

A morning hike was well embellished with caches, both new and not so new, but placed with a wicked sense of humor. It looked like this one had been in place too long and gone mouldy, but it was a different sort of fungi at work.

We continued on our training run and discovered this one. It was as we expected after our first find. It was only on the return journey, when I was taking pictures for the grandkids that I noticed the minder.
A lovely walk through here and now that we had become protected from the 'Blackwood gale' it became even more enjoyable.

Um, your fungi are kind of destroyed! The main one is in pieces, as you'd kind of expect to happen to ceramic stuff with lots of big rocks around. Anyway thanks mudbrick, I'm sure you're a fun guy.
Fly Agaric, aka Amanita Muscaria if I'm not mistaken..... Nice one. Thanks for the cache.
Once again Darc and I had to laugh once we found this well covered cache.
Really enjoying the walk here, not sure I've been this way before, but get the feeling I'll travel it again if there's more to come. Well worth the easy stroll.
Thanks again muddy
