Visiting From NZ.Staying in Fremantle and just had to visit the Island. We had great weather all week. Today was the worst day of that week, even though it was still fine and warm for us. The wind got up later in the day and made it trickier to ride the bike and a choppy ride home in the ferry.Got back to the village and wifey had definitely had enough cycling, so I ditched her and cycled out to this one. I couldnt leave two trads unfound! The wind was rather blowey by now and it made it difficult, especially after an already 35km ride, but as it was a slow paced ride today, I had plenty left in me to grab these last two trads out here. Just one more!TFTC
Another cache found on our cycle circuit of Rottnest. Lucky to strike great weather after an inauspicious start from Freemantle. Thanks, Rottnest Islander.#10526
Quick find for us today with Jude E. No showers so far so hope the weather holds and it turns out to be a magnificent day on Rottnest, tftc.
Heute diesen Cache nach etwas suchen auch gefunden. Besten Dank frs legen und pflegen.
We are from Switzerland...and we travel all states and Terrotories of Australia .We do housesitting all over the world and travel afterwards. Its nice to be back and this time even better with geocaching Nggi2 and I decided today and to make out of that green ones Smilies .We travel now around WA before we leave for other countrys . I was looking forward to this trip to Rottnest Island very much . We were here 14 years ago .It looked more busyer this time .We went out on the rented bikes.around the Island to visit all Tradis. Everytime we stopped for a cache a Quokka turned up to my pleasure. Of course it was different from seeing them near the restaurants etc. We spoted all cache in good time just like the Quokkas .Thank you for this Dsli (which means in Swiss cache )oinkoinkText@camp
Found it TFTC Found in good condition. Seeing the last of WA with our e-bikes. Sadly we have to return home to Qld
We had a great day on the island and cycled a few kilometers. Great bays and beaches invite you to swim. And of course we also saw the quokkas. Funny animals.
My husband and i and muggle friends are visiting from Brisbane. Today we hired electric bikes to travel around and it was fantastic. With a few big hills the bikes made easy work and the 30 km or so we rode felt easy. We got the 9.30 ferry and returned on the 4.30 ferry and spent around 4 hours riding with a stop for lunch and a drink at Rottnest Island Hotel at the end. We had such a great day and thank you for placing these caches on the island for us to enjoy
#7451Day 10 in WA involved a trip to Rottnest Island. We tried to pick the least windy day as we aimed to cycle around the island. After picking up our eBikes, we set off in a clockwise direction. While there was no wind to speak of, we did encounter intermittent drizzle until we got to the west end. From there on, it was beautiful sunshine and quite warm.Time was now heading into the afternoon, so Mrs Crash insisted we head back to the settlement for a bite to eat. This would be the last one until we had eaten.TFTC Rottnest Islander
Thanks for this. My muggle friends not cooperating with me today so I thought I was going to have a fruitless day!
Over from Brisbane on the east coast visiting family Rottnest Is today today [^] Electric bikes are the go!! Clocked up 50Ks [^]Nice easy find, cache in good condition [^]TFT Rottnest Islander
Visiting from Brisbane with T-Tech. Today we are heading to Rottnest Island Tick that off the Bucket List! We hired electric bikes and spent 6 hours riding the length and breadth of the island, travelling 50kms, seeing the sights and gathering caches. With the long haul out to Bishop's Retreat completed we headed back to The Settlement for lunch, but of course there'll be a few more caches along the way. Oliver Hill Road is a quiet little area and we had no trouble making this find. TFTC, Rottnest Islander.
Came looking for this a second time,
Found the cache and a large snake sitting in his hole about 5 metres from the cache

Enjoying my first visit to Rottnest Island and joined by patrol14 on a lovely winters day.
Hired a deadly treadle to get us around to several of the caches, and we managed to get half of them done.
Nice and quick find for us here today.
Thank you, Rottnest Islander, for placing this cache for our benefit and enjoyment

Dieses Jahr ist es endlich soweit und wir reisen nach Australien um die Gibb-River-Road zu fahren. Eigentlich sollte dies schon 2020 stattfinden, aber da kam irgendwas dazwischen. Also 2023 ein neuer Anlauf.
München->Singapur->Perth->Broome->...->Gibb-River-Road->...->Darwin->München
Heute endlich nach Rottnest Island um Quokkas zu sehen und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Mit dem Rad die Insel erfahren und viele schöne Plätze entdeckt.
Zur Dose:
Gut gefunden.
Danke für's Legen und Herführen sagt Bison1.0

Thanks for placing this cache for me to grab by bike. Grabbed a TB to move on too.
Found with JaffaJ, CachingPikachu and TheGeoSnake while holidaying from Brisbane. A cycle round the island on a very warm day provided lots to see. Quokkas and caching - what more could you want.
Yay - my first on the Island - been a couple of great days riding in the strong wind TFTC
Spent the day on Rotto with the family. Last here in 2014, so been a while!
Quick find while cycling past on our way back from the lighthouse. TFTC

Quite good camouflaged in the bright sunlight, it took us some time to locate it, TFTC
Took a bit, but once I read that it is a small size I was able to find quickly. Thanks for placing the cache.
A trip to Perth wouldn’t be complete without visiting Rottnest Island not only to meet up with Quokkas but find some of the caches placed here.
With the weather perfect today for riding around the Island we used the cache placements as are tour guide.
Thanks Rottnest Islander for maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Definitely a small, maybe the storms knocked it's cover a bit, was very very easy. Camouflaged it a little more when placed back ️
Quick find, with B. By now our bums were very tender from the unforgiving bicycle seats so we regretfully cut our adventure short. TFTC Rottnest Islander
Our second day on Rotto & it was another busy one, spent exploring the southern part of the island... Im not sure that many have approached this one from the way we did, but it is recommended, found lots of interesting stuff on our travels making us wonder what things must have been like in times past [^]

Our first trip to the island and we had a day planned to grab geocaches, AL’s and GCA Virtuals. We came over on the early ferry, picked up the bikes and headed off on our adventure. Cheers and TFTC.

Catching up on old finds from a great day on Rottnest a couple of months ago TFTC!
A plan was hatched with Geotrakka to come to Rottnest for her birthday and hopefully go for a snorkel and to finish off all the caches that we hadn’t found before. As the day to leave grew closer the weather changed and we looked like we might of had thunderstorms to contend with as well. But lucky for us that never eventuated , instead we had to contend with a whale carcass in the water and a few sharks around , so no swimming for us. We took the bus around the island and got our monies worth and plan to grab a e bike later today. We have seen plenty of wildlife some cute some not so. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining their caches for others to find , tftc
Planned a visit to Rotto for my Bday that happened to coincide with CJ and team coming over so Neva2old & I booked accommodation for a couple of nights so that we could snorkel, swim, relax and take our time enjoying the island whist finishing off the caches here. Only days before our arrival a dead whale washed into a bay in Rotto which attracted some rather large sharks. Lucky for us the weather turned into a cool temp so any adventurous ideas if snorkeling the reef here flew out the window. ( the risk of being chomped on may have also had an affect on our decision to keep dry this trip) But …. A great day on our arrival day today. Took the bus around and stopped at the furtherest hides. We had no trouble finding these. We saw 3 snakes, 2 king skinks, 3 seals, 9 dolphins and lots of quokkas so far as well as the magnificent coastline and bays. Thank you to each of the COs for placing and maintaining these caches. Cant wait for tomorrows adventures.
Like previous "finders", just found scraps of plastic, and paper. Removed them (apart from really broken down small bits). Hot day, windy across causeway, but beautiful. Was across the road from a beautiful glade of Rottnest Island Daisies. Wonderful. Good spot. Hope it gets repaired.

##Cache Maintenance Required please.##
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit, to address the issue described in the logs.
The cache owner needs to either fix the problem or archive the listing, after picking up any geo-litter. In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page.
See the maintenance section of the [Geocache Hiding Guidelines](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance).
If there is a good reason for a delay in enabling this cache, please post an update note log here on the cache page so that everyone will know what's going on.
When the maintenance is completed, you can re-enable the listing by entering an "Enable Listing" log, and then post an "Owner Maintenance" log to clear the "Needs Maintenance" attribute, if set.
I will check back in 30 days to be sure that the maintenance has been done, or that further information has been provided.
If there has been no action to repair the cache, or explain the situation, unfortunately I will need to Archive this cache. Caches archived because of lack of maintenance will not be unarchived.
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is out there to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Thank you

We found the location but there is all but a few broken pieces of what we presumed was the cache… nice bike ride but either needs replacing ASAP or archiving
