I headed down today to find a big bunch of caches and this one was included.
I found the cache and signed the log. TFTC
I'm too tired to find or think of a quokka joke. I have decided, however, that whoever invented the "Knock knock" jokes should get a No-bell prize.

This morning we started caching at the junction of the Newell Highway and Pikedale Road and during the day, we gradually worked our way south into Palgrave Road, Loloma Road and Mount Janet Road. We started at about 8:45am and finished the caches on our list as the sun set. We enjoyed the variety of caches and the scenery along the way.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks the cache maker for the cache and others you have placed in the area.

Yeehaw, time to get out on the dirt roads of Stanthorpe and pick up some caches. We have had our eyes on this power trail for some time and today is the day. Lots of long grass trodden through, boulders climbed, stabbed by sticks, slips and slides all the geo-caching fun
Along the way we managed to pick up a few letters we needed for animal names for another challenge cache we are trying to complete.
Thanks for all the caches out here on the dirt roads of Stanthorpe.

Having time constraints I had initially deliberately missed this cache not need it for the Alphabetical Animal Challenge but I got a bit down the road and remembered that I needed it for A Quest for Q Challenge. Yes I am concentrating on completing challenges this trip.
A quick find a hey why not grab a few more.
Thanks the cache maker

Had a fantastic day out with my husband as we left the kids at home for the sole purpose of me being able to pick up my largest number of caches in a day. The day didn't go quite to plan due to the large volume of water making us not to confident to drive along the soft sided road. However we saw some amazing animals along the way including two snakes, thankfully the red belly black snake was dead. I particular enjoyed the animal series, but appreciate all cache owners for placing and maintaining these for the geocaching community. I apologise for the generic log.
Tftc. This is a late log. Went on a caching trip back on August 28/29 2016. Did over 350 caches over the weekend and only managed to log the rest of it now. The girls took me out for a bday weekend caching. Found with chasing adventures and Thehinds of the Triple threat crew
A wonderful weekend away in Stanthorpe resulting in 374 finds, including 22 mystery (Stanthorpe Apple) and 1 Earthe cache. I hoped to log each individually as I usually would but the tyranny of time prevents me from continuing to try and achieve this goal. A big thank you to all the Stanthorpe CO's. We said many times we wish we had more consolidated trails in Brisbane. TFTC
Cute little quokka here. 5:38 and it's starting to get dark - hopefully we can make a few more quick finds before we call it a night! TFTC
Off on a trip up North we decided to do some speed caching, managed to bag some 254 over the weekend. A great time away although short really enjoyed the caches and naturally the area.

Out with Cachemeifyoucam to run around the area and get as many caches as we can. Really good series, enjoyed all of the finds.
1944 - I rode across the Creek and found myself looking for and finding the Quokka cache in good condition at 2:55pm. This cache brought back memories of a trip to Rottnest Island a number of years ago where we saw many of these cute animals. Thanks for the cache and the series the cache maker.
One of the many caches we did on our Pike-Granite & Rockland Roads loop !
Big Thanks to All the Cachers who placed them All !!

Found by "A" as we spent a second afternoon finding some of the many caches nearby. Signed log. TNLN Thanks to all the cache owners who have taken their time to place so many caches in the area.
We set aside today to challenge ourselves to find at least 150 caches in a day. Before last Mega in Stanthorpe, we had cleared the middle section of the AS Series, so this challenge meant starting at the bottom, then later moving to the top section, then back down the highway towards Stanthorpe until our target was reached. Apologies for this generic log: unless noted below the caches were in good order and available for future hunters - in some cases this meant stopping awhile longer to replace a log, and/or clean out the cache.
Found at 2:42pm on 8th December, 2015. TFTC.

I had driven down from Brisbane for a quick day out caching. The idea to grab as many as i can along the power trails here. The day turned into a mission, with my GPS deciding to impersonate a brick, leaving me to use the phone, so lots of missed caches and backtracking. Great day out, lots of caches, sun, Kangaroos, sun, other flora, sun and more caches. Thanks for putting in the trail.
I was spending the weekend in Warwick and decided that it was about time that I found a few more of the power trails around here. I had a couple of hours and headed out solo and found 32 in a couple of hours
The trouble is trying to remember individual caches when you do power trails.
Thanks for putting out these caches for our enjoyment.

At a bit of a loose end so we decided a day just north of Stanthorpe, to clear a few caches we had no signal for on our last few trips south, was in order.
Apologies if some logs are a bit generic but we converted 95 to smilies today!
Quick find.
Signed & replaced as found.

I have seen a few Quokka on me travels.
Always when I am not expecting too, and always in remote or very well protected (usually by an electric fence) areas of OZ.
Oz is not exactly chokkas with Quokkas any more
With the efforts of conservation groups they will survive a bit longer [^]
Thanks for this Quokka based cache

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day eleven took us back north to do more of the trails. We ere joined by Rapidlywild and SpecimenX for the morning. After a creative drive to get to our starting point we powered through all of the remaining animals by lunch. Then it was back to town to head our different ways. Sold De Lune and I headed out to the Bald rock road to do the remaining caches out that way. Thanks.

Found it with Team FIN [kapeka & laalaa]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Australian Capital Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!
Greetings from Finland!

Thanks for some fine hunting today. My 2015 Oz trip was very fruitful. indeed. TFTC.
Found during my visit to Stanthorpe for the Qld. Mega Event, in the company of a couple of great pals including the legendary Currykev from the U.K. Thanks for the cache
Another beautiful WA critter that is only found on Rottnest Island. They will have to have breeding programs soon to keep the species alive. Too many people ruining their habitats, sadly. Nice to see one safe and sound out here, tough. TFTC
Found with Albida33, Rapidlywild and SpecimenX while attending the Mega.
We all had a number of unfound caches out in this area so teamed up in one car and headed out to grab them. A good day with all caches found......a total of about 120 for this part of the day.
Thanks for the cache and adding to the fun of our Mega trip.....

Today specimenX and myself had a goal, we wanted to finish the powertrails. We had organised to meet up with Sol De Lune and Albida who are also from Canberra and with the 4 of us loaded up at 8am, off we went in order to hit as many as possible.
We had managed to knock over just over 100 caches in just under 4 hours and soon after, we were in a position where SDL and ALB had found ones we were missing. So we were returned to the Mega site to jump in our geomobile and from there we went seperate ways. With the very first cache collected at 0850, the ver last cache collected at 2122 with a ~2 hour break, we managed 226 cache finds in a 10 hour caching period. This is our biggest daily achievement to date !!!
Some caches were easy, some a little more difficult, all in all, no DNF's to record and the Stanthorpe powertrails are now officially COMPLETE
The weather was nice to us today and the roads remained dry enough to get around without any issues.
Thanks the cache maker for placing this cache for us to make a find on

Up from Canberra and found with Rapidlywild on a two week geomission around the Gold Coast and, of course, for the MEGA
Today's plan for us was to complete the powertrails we had left around Stanthorpe and to nab any randoms along the way. A plan was hatched with our fellow ACT geomates, Sol de Lune and Albida33, the night before to join them at 8am to see how many we could knock off.
With just over 100 caches nabbed in under 4 hours, we were up to the point where Sol and Albida had already found the ones we had yet to get. So with that we all returned to Mega GZ to freshen up, then RW and I continued on to knock over the remaining caches we had left to collect on the power trails.
All up we made 226 finds in 10hrs-not a bad effort I reckon and it made for our biggest day yet!
Thanks to all of the CO's who placed the caches for us to find on a most enjoyable day. As a powertrail co-owner, I can appreciate the work involved in setting them up!

Day five for us at Stanthorpe, attending the Mega event. The previous day was very wet and up until today we really had not got many numbers. Today we finish up the Stan puzzles (has taken us 3 days to find these, been taking it reaaaaaaal slow). Finally with a break in the wet weather, we tackle the trails finishing the day with 202 finds and no DNF's ??
Thanks to all CO for your efforts in putting out these caches.
Thanks to all CO for your efforts in putting out these caches.
Well, finally, we got some half decent weather to do some caching! My goal was to do 100 for the event and to beat my previous highest day of 23, i have smashed that with 69 for today including the Stanthorpe Mega event and i got my 100 for the event so time to relax! TFTC TNLN.
