TFTC found with Crack n Lee Lee. We really enjoy exploring cemeteries and this was a good one. A favorite for us
In the area camping with 2beez on this warm beautiful weekend. We enjoyed the wander around and also the shade to do calculations. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for creating and highlighting this area. Cache on good condition. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Have you logged your will attend for Victoria's first ever Block Party? (Think Mega but even more special!)Join us on 22-23 March 2025 in Sunbury to celebrate 25 years of geocaching by logging your will attend at [**GCAP417**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).
When we woke up this morning in Brisbane, Mrs Woodyrothwell and I looked at each other and decided to jump on a plane and head to a cemetery two states away to find a cache. Thats technically true, but a bit of a stretch. We are spending the week in Wangaratta and were making sure that we visited a King Valley cellar door that is only open on weekends. We started off at the Red Feet cellar door along Cemetery Lane. Our tips are the bubbles, the Riesling, the Shiraz Sangiovese and the Tempranillo. We arent wine experts or know much about it. We are just tragic p*$$heads that combine caching with wine. After tasting and buying half a dozen bottles to get us through the night we visited a place where our drinking addiction will so have us eternally renting from. Another maintained cemetery with lots of headstones amazingly presented..Two weeks ago my son, one daughter, my mum and sister went for a couple of weeks holiday in Japan and South Korea. One of the gifts they bought back for me was a new stamp. Its not a stamp in the regular sense, but some sort of volcanic rock that had been etched out by monks whilst they drink their own jungle juice. This was its maiden cache stamp and it left a bit to be desired. The second go at stamping was just as bad so rather than fill in the log sheet with unintelligible stamp nonsense we decided to make the two halves one whole. tftc
Geoturtle37 and I are getting out of town again and so we left in time to do a couple of caches on the way. We don't often drive this way so we are pleased to now have a few more smileys in the area. This was a lovely stroll around the cemetery as the sun was shining and it is very well kept. Once we had what we needed, we headed to GZ and made a quick easy find. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
This is a beautifully kept cemetery with a lot of space. We happened, well maybe deliberately, to be in the area so took the opportunity to find a couple of caches. We walked around and got the coords then headed to GZ where we found the cache with no problems. Thanks for the placement of this cache.
I've had this one solved for quite some time and today, I was able to talk my Cuz into a short stop for a look while on our way down to Mansfield. As he rested under a shady tree, I mosied on over to GZ where I had the stash in hand at 14:50 after a short search to open its account for **2024**. TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks BettyBoo3747.
We solved that one over 2 days, after being shocked by the electric cables the first time! Access to the cache easier by the outside. TFTC
Solved yesterday, after one false number lead us to getting shocked by the electric fence! Back today and found, but we wouldn't have reached it from where we were standing yesterday.
After a few false starts managed to corner this. Brought our muggle mate who found the sneaky hide
Had a lovely stroll in the cemetary today l, got mixed around with some of the numbers but we eventually found the sneaky cache.
It’s always great to pull up at a cemetery for a multi and it’s handy having an extra person to help with the extra bits like holding your pen, the notebook and leading you in the right direction.
TBS has found most of my finds today but I think he still gets a kick out of either watching me in my element or finding them twice.
An enjoyable multi

Another peaceful walk around a beautifully kept cemetery in the country.
You provide the best cemetery multicaches BB. I always look forward to doing them.
This one had me checking one part of it, but it was all good in the end. I couldn't complain about staying here a bit longer anyway.
The cache was found safe and well, and we drove away feeling very happy with the days proceedings so far.
Thank you BettyBoo3747 for your contribution to this wonderful hobby.

After spending a few days exploring the mountain ranges north of Mansfield it was time to get back to Melbourne. With the current "find 100 caches in 1 month" souvenir challenge it was also time to start ramping up the caching finds! Before heading home from the Edi Cutting campground I decided to explore this stretch of road on a glorious autumn morning.
After a quick detour up to Moyhu I stopped here on the way back south. With some time on my hands I could do some multis as well, so obviously a cemetery stop fitted the bill.
Multis along some stretches of road hardly get found. In exactly 10 years this one has only now reached 50 finds!
I liked the nearby headstone with the airplane tail - a very clever dedication.
Thanks, BettyBoo3747.

Well that was very interesting local history, thank you for sharing it with us. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
This was a great multi around this lovely cemetery. I have ridden by this cemetery lots of times and we are camping in Whitfield for the long weekend and decided to come along to find this cache which hasn’t been found for almost a year
On a quick maintenance run through the King Valley. Decided to stop and check this one. It doesn't get done much - 45 times since 2013 and there was plenty of room on side 2 of the log sheet but I left a new one anyway. All good here for future finders.
This multi took me far longer than it probably should have, as I wandered around the fascinating cemetery. Names soon became familiar as there are so many with the same surname. After collecting all the required information it was a quick find at GZ by Pa. He passed me the log to sign and we were on our way.

We have finally moved on from the Mega Wangaratta and our target is to do the caches around Glenrowan and the NKH series. This one was right where we thought that it would be.
Love a cemetery multi cache, especially when the cache is in situ. But what a lovely, peaceful place after the bustle of the Mega,so well maintained and unusual to see so many of the one surname. A favorite from me as really enjoyed this, thank you
What a well looked after cemetery in the country, and still used today. Walked around and gathered the required info and found GZ easily. Thanks for rewording and keeping the multi in play. TFTC
Interesting wander around the cemetery. Some amazing headstones and interesting history. I admire the respect the local community has towards their past. The clever little hide had me searching for a while, but eventually came up trumps. Thanks for the cache BettyBoo3747
Day 17 and the final day of this road trip! Packed up camp on a beautiful sunny day, second guessing whether I really should go home or not. Now making an extra long journey home via a few caches.
A lovely wander through a historic cemetery. Was initially at the wrong graves in WP3 but was able to correct this based on the content of the questions. Made quick work of wp4 and soon had the cache in hand thereafter,
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the cache.

Ilukaperi and I were on a mission to bring ammo cans to the big smoke. Well, we were heading up to Wangaratta to pick up a delivery of ammo cans for people back in Melbourne. Anyhoo, why head up the boring old Hume Hwy, when you can take the back roads? So we decided to cache between Mansfield and Wangaratta, via Whitfield. I took over the driving at Mansfield, either because she was scared of driving on dirt roads or she wanted a good laugh at me trying to drive a manual car for the first time in 10 years. Whatever the case, I had done a bit of caching along this route before, so she had more finds than I did today, but not this one.
Spent a lovely time at this cemetery. We wondered around gathering the information. A lovely set out multi cache. We weren't too sure about the information that we had to gather at the final WP, it seemed a strange way of doing it and we weren't sure if we were doing it right, but we couldn't think of any other way that the CO could mean, so we used that in our calculations.
GZ though could turn up nothing, well nothing obvious and there was enough self doubt in our mind regarding the information we had gathered that we walked away without a find.
However it was lunch time and that meant enjoying some lovely spicy carrot soup that I had made and it gave me an opportunity to reach out to a previous finder to check our calculations. While we ate our soup the PAF person checked their calculations and came up with the same result as we did.
So, with more confidence in our calculations and some further hints from the PAF as to where to look, we had the sneaky cache in hand much quicker.

We walked around the cemetery collecting all the necessary information, and worked out the final coordinates. We searched for a while, and couldn't find anything, and thought maybe we had the wrong location somehow as there weren't really any spots to hide a cache. Day1976 contacted a previous finder who had the same location we got, and after a spot on description from the previous finder, we went back over to the coordinates and there it was! A tricky little spot.
An overnight caching trip around Milawa area with dalerious and of course Rex [:X] where the 1st cache was found at 20:15 and the last cache of the 18 finds was found at 3:04 as we made our way back to Shepp [|)]
dalerious did a couple of tree climbs which he hated NOT! and that started off the night as we then did a few of the Gourmet Run caches [^] and anything else that we were near [^]
We also made a point fo finding the only Spirits of Salt series cache thatw e both had unfound as it had been missing at our last attempt [^]
As I have been about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

On a whim, locus cache and I headed out late in the day to snag "a few" caches because....Why not? [^]
Well....One cache led to another
and before we knew it we had pulled another all nighter with 21 new smileys netted (a few of which locus cache had already earned).
This was to be the last cache of the day (but not the night) with log signed at 11:58pm. [:o]
Some would say it is a bit wierd (to say the least) to be creeping around a cemetary at midnight, but to a Geocacher it is just getting the most out of a road trip.
Another excellent cemetary multi with clear directions leading to a very well hidden cache.
Cache and log found (from accurate coords) in good clean and dry condition. [8)]

Doing a maintenance run down the King Valley so stopped to check this one. Still in place and all good with the log sheet and the container.
Out and about in this area this afternoon and checked on this one as we were going past. All good - clean and dry and plenty of room on the log sheet.
This cache became a bit of a saga as we sought the required information in between light showers and then a downpour.
During the light showers our grandson and I made do with our coats. Although only 5 years old and in Prep he was excellent at following the arrow and counting down the distance we still had to go!
During the heavy downpour we were lucky enough to be beside the shelter so took refuge in there.
We found the second last waypoint particularly interesting and our grandson enjoyed the second.
Thank you for the multi and short tour.

Good fun sussing this one out in a beaut old cemetery with the help of Bill Gosse. Thanks BettyBoo.
On my way to Lake William Hovell so called past to check on this cache. Cache and log sheet in good condition. Noticed some very nice wrought-iron gates that are certainly new since I last visited here. Much better than the old ones.

Once the domestic chores were completed, our mission today was to complete the Spirit of Salts series; which much to our embarrassment, after using a one day pass to visit four locations in 2011, we have been denied an appropriate travel card for 5 years!
Fortified by lunch, we felt brave enough to tackle a multi. A little nervous that snakes could be lurking we trod firmly around the cemetery looking at some very interesting graves and collecting all the numbers needed to take us to a cleverly concealed container at GZ - watch out for the nasty looking spider. This well planned multi is certainly worthy of a favourite point.
Our thanks to BettyBoo3747 for placing this interesting multi.

Another BettyBoo3747 cemetery cache - a "must do" for this visit. It was an interesting walk around this location, with so much family and district history evident. Data was collected from each of the waypoints. Once completed, there was really only one location where the cache could be hidden and to our relief, it was quickly located as it had just started to rain. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for another enjoyable caching experience.
Tried this a while back but was too hard to read the unfo on the GPS so came back today with a printout. Got sidetracked in the middle by a lady with a flat tyre, but managed to complete it in the end. Was about 15 metres off at GZ. Not sure if I'd worked it out wrong or not, but it;s done anyway. Thanks BB
We had planned to attempt this one for a few years now and today was the day for our attempt. With the information collected and the calculations made it was off to the cache site. The location seemed appropriate but we were unable to find any container. We will give it another go next year.
TFTC. A lovely sunny Monday, last day of winter. Too good an opportunity to miss so a drive along the Whitfield Rd, caching as we go.
Who can resist a country cemetery . Good piece of history and a pleasant wander around the area.

Oooh !! A new caching day dawned and after a short drive from last nights beautiful campsite, I arrived at this delightful cemetery
And to add to the fun, it was a multi-cache [^]
So I got to enjoy a stroll around the stones to find GZ and learn a bit about the residents to boot

Another quality cemetery cache from BettyBoo3747. When we pulled up there were a couple of muggles standing around chewing the fat. They asked us if we were related to anyone here, but we just said we enjoy looking around country cemeteries, they left us alone after that (probably thought we were a little weird). However, one of them was a trustee, so I congratulated him on such a well kept cemetery. We grabbed the numbers quickly, and then the Moose made the find. Thanks for bringing us here and for the hide.
Today we explored the King Valley using geocaching as a guide.
Interesting multi of historical signifigance.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Can't really say I didn't find it. More like I didn't get started. Next time I'll print the pages. Had trouble reading the small print on the GPS and came completely wrong after the first waypoint. Jen was no help, preferring to wander about looking at graves instead of helping me. lol. And after I changed my name to include her. Anyway I'm sure I'll be past again and I'll get it next time.
Thanks BB

We love cemetery caches and since we were so close, we couldn't resist this one. Had a little trouble finding WP1 (didn't check to see if there was a WP listed), but soon had the required information and the rest was fairly simple. Until we got to gz, that is. Took quite a bit to find this one and felt kind of silly to have missed it. TFTC
Suscoe's 20th and last find of today as we head south.
A cool breeze followed us but at least the rain had gone and the sun was shining. There was lots of water on the ground and running in the drains.
We really enjoyed this multi and found the various waypoints really interesting.
The hide was a clever one and so thankyou to BettyBoo3747 for this great walk around here.

[:(!] Spending the weekend in Albury with my geoson and his geofamily and what better way of spending the day but to do a caching run and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked to the three different way points, sat down with the information in hand and worked out the maths, entered them into my GPS, then I was off to the final destination , on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes, after doing the Spirit of Salts Series I needed a break so I stop here.
I like it

#5285 We really enjoy the cemetery caches for the R&R, reading the epitaphs and marvelling at the stonemasonry skills of yesteryear. It was an extremely hot day but that wasn't going to deter us from collating the necessary information needed to locate the end result. We had no troubles with the numbers and were glad at the last stage that we didn't have to walk a huge distance to GZ. The cache was found well hidden and in very good condition. Our thanks to BettyBoo3747 for the enjoyable multi. Cheers [^]
I was returning from a motorcycle rally at Nug Nug with my mate Keith, and we found a few caches on our travels. I had tried this on a previous trip, but had not noticed it was a multi and didn't have the instructions with me. Along with Crusty K9 on that trip, we spent quite some time searching near the gates. Today I had the paperwork and all went well. Some nice new gates have been fitted since my last visit. All looking good. Thanks BettyBoo.

We enjoyed this multi and even marveled at some names. Thanks for the wonder BettyBoo.
Had great fun with jimmytherat doing this cache! Have decided that my OCD is an advantage when searching for puzzle caches as I have a very orderly approach where as jimmytherat tends to wander a bit as rats do. Thanks heaps
Really enjoyed this cache Betty boo. Notwithstanding my haphazard approach to finding waypoints and Noelle04's OCD, we found the cache easily in the end.
#305 Another great day out geocaching from Goughs Bay to Milawa picking up 26 finds along the way, including several former dnfs! This was the 11th find of the day, walked to all points of the cemetery collecting the clues for each wp, good exercise after collecting a number of lazy drive bys! A very nice constructed multi - tftc BettyBoo3747.
We done this one today with a million flys, but had a good time working out the coords and finding GZ
We kept a good eye out for snakes but none to be seen
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for this cache

Travelling home today, so we drove the King Valley, and had lunch at Whitfield. A lot longer a trip than I thought. Very beautiful this time of year.
An interesting collection of old and new graves, a lot more than this multi suggests. We walked around a bit more after checking out the required information. The spring flowers are just starting to stick their head up, giving the place a colourful look.
If I had a pot of paint I could have fixed the sign for you
Thanks, Robmc.

We always enjoy a wander around a cemetery and have visited this one quite recently when the pictured memorials were unveiled. We did not have any caching gear with us that day to place a cache and are happy that BettyBoo has done so for us. There are plenty of local names that we recognise on the headstones and we spent quite a while searching for a friend who was buried here over ten years ago. Happily we found his unusual headstone and spent a moment or two reflecting on him and his family. SL at 3.10pm and made a note of another new type of cache container. #1532 TFTC BettyBoo - our day would not have been complete without a multi and this was perfect in a peaceful and very neat and tidy place on the hill.

I rocked up at the Whitefield (Yes, that's what the sign says!) Cemetery, and proceeded to make my way around the waypoints.
It was a wonderful still evening, the sunset just breaking through the passing stormclouds, the air just a bit chilly... perfect to make a resting place like this a restful place to take a walk and log a cache.
The most relaxing 10 mins I've had in 6 months, thanks.

Was out and about on a beautiful Autumn day and was heading home after an early morning FTF when I noticed this one was getting closer and not further away. I had for no good reason expected Whitfield cemetery to be in the hills out the back of Whitfield. Drove up to the gate and went for a stroll around the grounds in the morning sun collecting the information for each WP as I went. These are amazing places and are one of my favorite type of cache hides, reading the inscriptions is very interesting and can give an insight into life back then. This cemetery is also very well tended and a very nice place to spend some time. Worked out the location for GZ and made my way there only to be greeted by very tall wet grass. So I transferred the co-ords to the GPS instead of the phone and the cache was much easier to locate. Managed to free it from its hiding place and was again greeted with a blank log sheet. Another FTF cachers dance of joy and then signed it and tucked it away again. Another cool hide in a very pleasant setting. slt4tcBB
