Third and last cache for the day. This is a beautiful spot, we loved the views with the snow-capped mountains. Both container and logbook were in good condition. Thanks for placing this here!
Its a bit of a risky location for caching with kids. Our first magnetic find. Thank you
Easier to find then the last and hopefully the next few a hidden in slightly safer places. So much fun though
The landscape gets more breathtaking! The evening colours are sort of glowing! Found with Piwaka54
Found with Nutty Nora. Logbook doesnt have the usual little plastic bag but was nice and dry
#10,024. Day 2 of the extended Labour Weekend geocaching road trip. I flew down with geocaching buddy Infoferret yesterday with a target list of geotour caches, adventure labs, puzzle finals, a few virtuals and a hike to get the DGSC final. We can't resist stopping to pick up a few traditionals on the way to boost the overall numbers. The Adventure Labs claimed during the week down south have thrown my overall numbers into chaos. Maybe the souvenir 10,000 find will pop up today rather than on Bank's Peninsula. Who knows when.
We parked close by and IF headed off to find the cache. Didn't take too long to find. All in good order. Signed the logbook, replaced where found and on our way again. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for hiding it here.

Found as part of an epic trip around the South Island with GSEL – from Akaroa to the West Coast and back again over the Arthurs and Lewis passes. The weather was amazing, and the scenery breathtaking.
Due to my lack of preparation, I had forgotten to load this cache on my phone and log at the time, hence a second round of catching up on the logs I forgot. I will add more notes for the caches where I can remember them! TFTC.

Went on a road trip with my daughter CalumD out to the West Coast and collected this while passing. A quick and easy find. TFTC.
All in order here. On our way to Chch after a night at the pass. Thanks for placing.
Found while driving from Christchurch over to Hokitika. Flat plains to the sky and now into the foothills. Magic scenic country. TFTC
Another BtG cache down and it was easier to find than the second to last one (for me anyway!). Tftc
I am out on my own today, big bro had other things to do and besides he has found these caches earlier.
I am mainly locating and signing off th BtG series and any others that get in the way.
One of the BtGs.
Cheers for the cache.

Will do a cut and paste for these bridge caches, All found on a rainy day with Coconuts3, but a bit of humour and willing to get the smilies, who cares?! TFTC
Out with busy paws and cache name was a giggle as we are anything but DRY. Thanks for the cache gracie7 + Mum.
This stream lived up to its name.
I've been interested in finding this series of caches ever since they were published. Finally, I'm here. I think this is only the second time I've been on this road, the first time was probably a one-stop trip, silly eh! I much prefer taking my time, stopping lots, having a good look around and - - - just breathing the air. Thanks for helping me do just that!

Has to be another quick snag and tag as its bloody cold out here and my fingers are getting frozen. Cheers
Its Saturday and we explored from Lake Lyndon to Coal Pit Spur Track. So lets go!!
Its Queens Birthday weekend and The Seagnoid, Zara and I are heading out of town for a long weekend to Arthurs Pass, via Kaikoura. Had a fantastic weekend, seeing lots of new places, limestone formations, amazing views, awesome beech forest walks, but getting nowhere fast. Bloody cold at times with -3deg frosts but thankfully the snow stayed on the top of the highest mountains.. Enjoyed driving back via Lake Brunner, Murchison. An awesome few days exploring.

Dawn is coming... Hopefully... Man, it's cold. Woke up to -3 degrees outside, -1 degrees inside.
Taybeedragon and I are on a five day extended Queen's Birthday weekend. Happy birthday marm! The plan was to cache the Arthur's Pass route, from Rangiora to Lake Buller. You would think four days was enough to do the 211 kilometers, but we didn't even manage the 130 to Arthur's Pass village before we had to pull the pin Monday lunchtime for the drive back to Blenheim. But on the way we saw some amazing views, strange geology, weird amounts of ice in the puddles, ice on the inside of our windscreen - it was that cold. Caves, wonderful beech forests, rather a lot of bridge barriers and even a cache or few. And there was blisters, sliding down icy grassy hills on our bums (what fun!) and rather a lot of walking. Many thanks to all the cache owners that made this such an amazing trip.

Onto the trail proper now, it's caching all the way for lots of park n grabs and a couple of modest walks.
It's the last full day of the trip and I intended to make the most of the day and was up with the lark, cockerel more like, and in the car at 0530 ready to get going. I called in for an early brekkie and hit the road early to meet Ricardinho.nz at Springfield. We cached our way back to the West Coast via road barriers and others en route and I set off for home after leaving him in Greymouth after visiting all 8 of the TMGT caches there. Home at 7PM and a decent haul of over 80 caches, including 5 Earthcaches. Awesome scenery and views and a cracker day of weather too. 620KMS for the day travelled and time for a rest!
It's that time of year again when Marlborough residents get a double bubble, two 3-day weekends in a row and a chance to get out there and find some caches. Last weekend I headed over to Golden Bay with ricardinho and we managed a healthy numbers-boosting haul of 82 over 2 days. This weekend I'm planning on finding some already solved Canterbury caches and get me closer to a 5 figure finds number, the big 10,000. At the start of toSaturday this was a 4 day, at the end it was a 120 plus day!!
The Saturday was planned to be a big day and to get over 100 caches in a day if possible and start converting those puzzle pieces into smiley faces. Success was achieved in that we found over 120 each. I personally found my missing Smurfs, Metal Mania, Glossary of Geocaching as well as a number of other solves and collateral Traditionals. The Canterbury weather turned it on and a good day was had with ric.nz driving and me navigating (sort of)
The Sunday was a Geo-art loose ends day. My plan wqas to track down the remaining Smurfs, round up some horses and grab a couple of loose Eclipse mint tins. I also explored the realms of Springfield in preparation for a return across SH73 on Monday.

Last day of the long weekend and a long drive back to Blenheim via Greymouth (yep, that’s right) with the goal of getting a whole heap of ‘bridge the gap’ caches and anything else easily accessible or interesting.
With a lot of kms to travel, there was not room for much more unfortunately.
So a successful trip but the real heroes were the weather and the scenery.
I had forgotten a bit how stunning it can be in and around places like Castle Hill and Arthur’s Pass, and a great spring day with snow-capped mountains for a backdrop made a bit of a self-inflicted slog actually quite enjoyable.
Thanks all COs, and sorry for the cut and paste, but I hope you can understand why. All logs signed Cap/ricnz or variations on the theme.

Out and about over the Easter weekend grabbing some caches as I head to Christchurch via the west coast. Thank you for placing all these wonderful caches out for me to find. Had fun looking in, under , around and behind to find them. Apologies for the cut and paste logs. Your caches made the trip a lot more interesting with some adventure thrown in. TFTC
Thanks for placing these bridge caches and great that there is good pull over places at each one.
This series was the main reason for our trip today and we have now found them all except one where there were too many people in the adjacent carpark to risk looking for it.
Thanks to this and other finds I now need only one more find to get hold of that elusive World Turtle.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum

We are on a mission today trying to get the numbers for the Hidden Creatures Challenge. We were commited to some caches around Cass but also to our habit of caching back. Meaning travel as far as the furthest away cache planned for the day then find the caches on the way home. It meant a round trip of about 400km and meeting our objective in the process Overall the weather was nice to us although thick fog in the morning slowed us down for a while. We finished the BtG series that we started in May 2013 but for one that had to many prying eyes from parked vehicles. The weather conditions were from thick fog, freezing rain to bright sunshine, ink black night sky and in temperatures from below zero to rather pleasant. We awarded a fav for the series to the Master Cache. Thank you gracie7 + Mum
On our trip from Arthur Pass to Cristchurch we had a lot of stops and discoverd caches like this. TFTC!
We were heading to Christchurch so thought we would go this way. We were really impressed with the amount of safe parking at these caches through here. As we were in a campervan we only stop where we feel safe and where we feel other road users won't get upset with us. Thanks for the BtG series
Quick find on way home from a break visiting friends in Greymouth where I used to live.
Today's mission was a drive from Christchurch to Greymouth on my way home to Nelson. Trying to find 'a few' caches along the way. It's been ages since I travelled this route so there were actually heaps of caches to find and at the end of the day my tally was 81. Biggest cache day for me for a while. One of my objectives for the day was to find as many BtG caches as I could. I managed to find quite a few. A few DNFs. A few DNAs due to muggles or distraction. BtG counter = 4. TFTC, Biggles.

This had been a day in the planning, and a day to look forward to for quite a while!! I took the day off motherhood, left the baby girl with daddy, and headed out to go find some caches - heaps & heaps of caches! - with my mum. Trying to get closer to knocking out as many of those within 80km of home as possible. Not too bad, as I think we found 51 in the end! Well, 51 for me, and a few less for mum. Plus the weather mostly held out!
TFTC!!

A good sign of addiction - leaving the grandchild behind while going caching with your adult daughter! We finally found a day we could both get away, and we headed off into the wild to find some! Great day, even though the weather was a little suboptimal. Lots of fun, TFTC!!!
This was my first cache on our way to Bealey Spur track - awesome, thank you for placing and maintaining it!
A quick find on the way over to Christchurch via Arthurs Pass, Thanks for the whole series.
Found on 24/10/2016.
Off to the South Island Orienteering Champs at Castle Hill.
Takuing the opportunity to grab a load of caches along the way.

After a full on day yesterday conquering Mt Bealey and swimming across lake Pearson a leisurely drive back to Geraldine today picking up a few P and G s along the way was a good plan.
no dramas for this one tftc

A corner I've driven around 100s of times over the years going to the coast or to the many ski fields. A neat place, and the entrance to Narnia...

Mega trip to NZ: day 4, alone with my beloved squib. We stopped on our way to Christchurch. Thanks for the fun and greetings from Finland.
On my way home after another wonderful MEGA weekend.
My reason for driving home this way. To collect a few more of the BtG series.
Cache #20 and Brdige #4 so far.

After a busy week at work I needed some fresh air so was off on a caching mission with Shannonp1. This was one of thirty odd caches for the day most of which required a decent walk. Quickly collected on our way back.
Grabbed a few caches nearby and on the way home after day at Porter heights .
Thanks
