Caching with Muggle Jane today. Cache in good condition nice and dry. Dropped off trackable to continue on its journey.
With a free Sunday and a need to do my fair share of fuelling the rocket for our alien friends, I decided to use the morning to try and get 20 quick caches. Luckily I have only recently moved to the north side so there were plenty of suburbs to choose from. Today I chose Narangba. Lots of park and grabs. Lots of little walks. A successful morning.
Dont know how I missed that last time but it was prob one of my first, log signed and item added
As its leap year day today I thought Id run out between clients and find a cache to write this date down. Thanks for the hide
Having recently moved to the area (from not too far away), I am excited to now clear out the local caches around my new home. Today I was heading out and found a few along the main road, so decided to grab them while I had some time. It was interesting to learn more about the rail system while logging these. The hint for this cache had me stumped - I must have missed the connection. As usual, making things far more complicated than needed, I initially overlooked the simplicity of this cache. All in good condition, TFTC.
A driveby cache that was found reasonably quickly, with the cache container and logbook in good shape. I understood the cache's name from seeing the nearby railway line and relevant object, and I enjoyed reading about their purpose; I wondered how many other commuters know of their reasoning, despite travelling past these everyday? Thanks [Slow Puncture (LJCC)](https://coord.info/PR7770T) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Today, a scheduled Lake Kurwongbah paddle by way of the [Kurwongbah Breakfast Paddle](https://coord.info/GCAH20P) event was the morning's plan, and I joined a small group of keen participants who braved the slight drizzle that occurred. Following a couple of priority geocaches in Petrie and Joyner, we parted ways with a bakery coffee and savoury/sweet.With no other definitive plans, I then took an anti-clockwise circuit of Lake Kurwongbah, travelling through Kurwongbah, Dakabin, and Narangba, before returning south and stopping off at various scenic vantage points over the respective lake and Lake Samsonvale nearby. It was then a final walk through Mungarra Reserve finding a few witches, and then I made my way south back home.
I like Fridays as I get to finish work at 12, this now gives me a chance to head out and collect some caches. Today I headed up to the Narangba area for a couple of caches and a particular cache for a challenge that I signed while I was in Sweden. I finally got out of work at 2 and started my quest only to hit the traffic heading north. I finally got up to my goals and got in just four caches before I had enough and headed home. This was my last cache for today. I parked right beside the cache and after a little search around I noticed the cache. I signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thank you so much for the cache, the hide and for bringing to this area.
The SPs were out on a maintenance run today. The container was broken on top and had suffered water damage, so both the container and logbook have been replaced, the container being made from something more sturdy. Ready to go!
Interesting engineering lesson. Needs replacing, container broken and log now saturated. TFTC
Good little hide.
The cashe is broken due to weather conditions. But paper all good. Tftc. Was looking up every where..️

We went for a nice drive around the area this morning before the forecasted rain event arrives and this is a cache we found. All good with this one, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Slow Puncture.
Slow Puncture (LJCC) I found your cache The Weight on 26/9/2022, 12:10 pm. This is my find 4287 and find # 5 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Out for the day with nikid1 to find some challenge cases & whatever else we happen to come across. It was a nice quick find at GZ.

Out for a day of caching with KerriMG. Interesting story, thanks for that.
At GZ it was a quick find. As previously mentioned the lid is broken but the log is nice and dry.

On the Northside of Brisbane to get some much needed caches and this happened to be on my list. Parked the car close to GZ and a short walk. Quick find in an obvious spot. I left my signature before I replaced as found. TFTC
Back in Dakabin for major Caravan Repairs. [xx(] After dropping our home on wheels into the repairer we decided to tackle a few caches to try and improve our spirits.
We found your cache and only had 1 DNF today and we also managed some shopping before the rain stopped play.

This is fascinating! I had no idea there were even weights on the wires! wow. Wait till I get home and tell the family - who may already know this. I parked in the nicely provided place and headed in to look in all the possible spots at least twice before looking at the one which was a bit different. well very different but also very at home. logged and left a pathtag. thanks heaps for the lesson. Especially the knew vocab!
Out enjoying a big day of socially distant caching from Kallangur to Morayfield... After using Renaldo as a step ladder down the road, this was my next stop...
I managed to make this much harder than it needed to be, but I eventually located the cache in the exact spot you would expect it to be...
I replaced the snap lock bag and returned everything as found.... tftc...

A great cache page full of info. Enjoyed the read while waiting for a little break in traffic before heading over. Managed to get poked in the face with the sharp stuff
One of the great things about geocaching is that there is always something new to learn about a whole range of things and this was no exception. Thanks for the info. A nice quick find with a nice dry logbook though the baggy has been split in two. TFTC
This is one of the reasons to read cache descriptions. You might just find it full of interesting information! La Kedi gave us the rundown as we headed to GZ where The Marble made the find. TFTC Slow Puncture (LJCC)
I was too busy reading aloud the information about the catenary and pantographs to even look for the quiche – luckily The Marble was not. She had it out before I had quite finished my dissertation. I found it really interesting to learn about it as I hadn’t ever thought about it before.

A quick park and grab on the way home today before lock down begins. Some light rain and slippery mud approaching gz wasn't enough to stop me grabbing this one. No trains went by while there sadly. Very interesting info about the weights and wires. TFTC
This one kept its self hidden for a good 5 to 10 mins before revealing itself

A trip up from the Gold Coast and meeting up with a lovely group of geo friends in search of a few caches in this local area.
Good hide found quickly then had a few laughs listening to RoddyC's weight/wait jokes.

Another happily quick find on the way home from work . Seems this is all I do lately tftc
Xanthorrhoea! Saw the cache well b4 I got to it, so left it with a more generous covering. Thanks for a great morning stroll, collecting caches with a 100% success rate so far
I found a pen right by GZ so I focused around that spot, but without luck I moved on slightly from that location and then found something that went along with the hint and spotted the cache right away. TFTC
Found with Quesera on a lovely day of caching thank you for placing this cache here
It was getting late so this was sharpem and my last cache for today. At gz we soon spotted the cache. No trains today. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
When we where trying to find the cache a train went past and I almost shit my pants
There was a prodding stick close by which you took advantage of and this was a quick find.

By now I knew 1MinnieMooJnr was already getting close to wanting us to head home, but I managed to convince her of my intention of just a couple more by showing her they were just the ones on the direct route from here back to the highway.
I found this one just as a train went past.
Thanks for the cache Slow Puncture (LJCC).

Found by the sharpest thing we could see, but it wasn’t where our GPS had told us to go. Took the car for a macaron (if anyone’s feeling peckish ).
Suffering from cache blindness must have checked the cache hiding place 5 times as we figured it was the best spot according to the clue eventually, about to give up we finally found it. TFTC
Found by the better half who is getting back into caching......and getting a little competitive!!!
Beautiful Geowife went straight to where her intuition told her to look but she didn't find it. Hubby, curious at her choice checked it out and sure enough it was there. Nice hide.
A great hide - and the explanation on the workings of the overhead lines... It also reminds me (geoMs) of a ditty back in primary school that the railways sent out as a safety message - "don't get zapped don't get fried, keep away and stay alive" teaching young ones not to climb these parts or fly kites etc... GeoMs dad was a model train enthusiast but steam and diesel ones that run from a much smaller transformer
9th find with Lamb64 today, what a great day, thanks for driving Lamb64.
Thanks Slow Puncture!!!
Thanks Slow Puncture!!!
Soooo.. gotta find a cache today for a "souvenir" eh? When did I start becoming a slave to these souvenirs??
Mr Boss Man asked me to pull over on the way to a job as he might need me to divert to a freight depot. Don't mind if I do take 5 minutes to find a nearby cache.
This one was the nearest I hadn't found. So close to home.. and I hadn't found it in nearly 4 years. For shame I parked up and my various smartphone apps were playing silly buggers but eventually settled down. I spotted the prize after a brief hunt. I signed the log and re-hid the cache - nicely tucked and invisible to the muggle eye.
A well-written description explaining something I have always wondered about (I do love infrastructure - rail and otherwise).
Souvenir gotten. Cache found. Something learnt. Job done TFTC Slow Puncture

Out on a maintenance run today. Replaced the container, a pox on whomsoever destroyed it, all is good here now.
However...if it is properly hidden there is no way known that any random passer by (not that there are likely to be many right here) will find it. So please place it snugly back underneath the coverage.
Rant over.

As we approached GZ we found the cache out in the open and upside down. We started pondering on how the cache could have moved to its resting spot. An organized army of ants was the first to be dismissed. The "force" was also ruled out as I tried to get it to return and I am the most powerful Jedi I know. I don't think it was the wind or rain so it will remain a mystery to us. After signing the log the daughter and I had a quick game of hide-and-seek before continuing our journey. tftc
swops taken and left. thanks for placing this cache and the explanation re the weights. the things one learns when caching. sl
With my mum leaving, and hubby's birthday approaching, forgot to log this one. Now one month later, coming back from a little detour in Narangba, we noticed: not registered on our internet. tftc
Tough Mothers day out with the geokids. Bless school holidays. Now down to the park and grab mode.
TFTC GPS was a bit bouncy but found it in the end. Log signed and cache replaced where found

Early morning start this morning left home 4:00am heading South towards Brisbane to try for some of the caches I didn't have time for yesterday ans also to have a wander though some new locations and have some fun and a adventure.
Thanks for the great cache and adventure Slow Puncture (LJCC)
I pulled into Nazareth, was feelin' about half past dead
I just need some place where I can lay my head
"Hey, mister, can you tell me where a man might find a bed?"
He just grinned and shook my hand, "no" was all he said
Take a load off, Fanny
Take a load for free
Take a load off, Fanny
And (and) (and) you put the load right on me
(You put the load right on me)
I picked up my bag, I went lookin' for a place to hide
When I saw Carmen and the Devil walkin' side by side
I said, "Hey, Carmen, come on let's go downtown"
She said, "I gotta go but my friend can stick around"
Take a load off, Fanny
Take a load for free
Take a load off, Fanny
And (and) (and) you put the load right on me
(You put the load right on me)
Go down, Miss Moses, there's nothin' you can say
It's just ol' Luke and Luke's waitin' on the Judgment Day
"Well, Luke, my friend, what about young Anna Lee?"
He said, "Do me a favor, son, won't you stay and keep Anna Lee company?"
Take a load off, Fanny
Take a load for free
Take a load off, Fanny
And (and) (and) you put the load right on me
(You put the load right on me)
Crazy Chester followed me and he caught me in the fog
He said, "I will fix your rack if you'll take Jack, my dog"
I said, "Wait a minute, Chester, you know I'm a peaceful man"
He said, "That's okay, boy, won't you feed him when you can"
Yeah, take a load off, Fanny
Take a load for free
Take a load off, Fanny
And (and) (and) you put the load right on me
(You put the load right on me)
Catch a cannon ball now to take me down the line
My bag is sinkin' low and I do believe it's time
To get back to Miss Fanny, you know she's the only one
Who sent me here with her regards for everyone
